My husband and I arrived early for our reservation and the host was able to seat us instead of having us wait. Our server, Jacob did a great job. He went over the menu, specials, and recommended wine pairings with the food we ordered. We enjoyed the chicken skewer appetizer, rolls, and my husband enjoyed his steak. We enjoyed the ambiance and food.

5 stars! I recently visited Le Rêve with my husband and dad, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was elegant and beautifully decorated — perfect for a night out. We started with cocktails, and I especially loved the Strawberry Spotted Napkin. The rosemary garnish gave it an incredible aroma and flavor that was both refreshing and unique. For dinner, everything was perfect. I had the lamb, which was cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the steak with bone marrow, and my dad had the Gnocchi with Escargot — each dish was exquisite and perfectly presented. The hospitality was top-notch, and the entire dining experience felt like a special occasion. I highly recommend Le Rêve to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience in downtown Brownsville!

We were in town looking for a nice cocktail bar and found La Reve. We had a great experience, dessert and drinks were great, and Nick, lead bartender, was top class! We were definitely impressed and were already looking forward to go back! Definitely a must visit in Brownsville!

Great first experience. If you are feeling adventurous with your food this is the place. Everything we ordered was excellent and delicious. 1,000% recommend.

Every visit has been a stunning experience from beginning to end. It’s all about the details, and you can tell they take all that into consideration. Being greeted by delightful Yessica always puts a smile on my face. Not only is she absolutely pleasant, but she is also exceptionally knowledgeable as wine director giving the best suggestions based on your preferences and taste. Behind the bar, Luis Zuni, facilitates making every cocktail so well balanced. My favorite house cocktail is the Strawberry Spotted Handkerchief and classics are the French 77 and mezcal paloma. Then what sets them apart is their consistently, phenomenal dishes. The beef tartare is one of the best I have ever tasted. So savory and pairs perfectly with the delicious toast. The grilled asparagus, shown in the middle of picture, has such a light yet flavorful citrus butter sauce. The mild flavor of the seared yellowfin tuna was enhanced so well by the soy sauce and yuzu oil. Any steak is cooked perfectly and of course you can’t go wrong with their juicy burger. Sous chef, Noe, and the whole team are able to exquisitely craft chef Eugenio’s stunning vision in every dish.

As a foodie who has traveled the world in search of the best from each cuisine, including French, I can confidently say that Le Rêve in downtown Brownsville, Texas, is a true gem. This upscale French restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience that rivals some of the best I've encountered globally. The culinary journey began with their stuffed morel mushrooms, lamb skewers, and perfectly crispy fries. Each dish was a delight, but their bread stood out as one of the best items on the menu—an absolute must-have every time you visit. For the main course, we savored a bone-in ribeye paired with a beautifully rich Au Poivre sauce. The flavors were impeccable, making every bite a memorable experience. To conclude our meal, we indulged in a luxurious chocolate ganache with passion fruit, a dessert that perfectly balanced richness and tanginess. If you're looking for authentic French cuisine, Le Rêve is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Not from the area but I decided to give Le Reve a try and I was not disappointed, dry aged wagyu burger was great and the banana bread dessert with house made ice cream really hit the spot. My server Julietta was a great help and made my dining experience better.

The food was great. The bread was 10/10. The steak was made to its perfection, juicy and delicious. The host was friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that it was difficult to get our waiters attention. At some point I had to ask another waiter if they can please let our waiter know we wanted to order more food. We finished our drinks and we wanted to order more but our waiter was never in sight. I noticed other waiters were very attentive to their tables, so Im assuming it was only our waiter. I would definitely come again because the food was delicious.
