La Specialità offers very good Italian food made with great ingredients, and you can taste the quality in almost every dish. The loaf bread they serve is genuinely delicious, warm, flavorful, and a perfect start to the meal. Their pizza dough is also excellent: very thin, light, and crispy. One piece of advice is to enjoy the pizza quickly, because with such a thin base it can get soggy if it sits for too long.
The cocktails are well done, balanced, and enjoyable, adding nicely to the overall dining experience. The atmosphere itself is not exceptional, but it’s comfortable, casual, and perfectly fine for a relaxed meal.
For dessert, the tiramisu limoncello is tasty, but extremely sweet, definitely something to share if you’re not into rich desserts. The idea of their house-made limoncello is fun and authentic, but it’s also way too sweet, almost syrup-like. With a little adjustment, it could be much more enjoyable.
Service is attentive, friendly, and generally on point. However, the team could benefit from some training on etiquette. For example, there’s no need to announce the bill amount out loud when someone is hosting or inviting, small details like this make a big difference in delivering a polished experience.
Overall, La Specialità is a solid spot with very good food and high-quality ingredients. With a few refinements in service and a lighter hand on the sweetness, it has the potential to become an even stronger neighborhood Italian choice.
