A lovely stop on our canal trip. Moored up in Jarnac (and drove 3 min; could have walked 18 min). Welcoming and jolly service. Abundant amuse bouche. Main courses of familiar ingredients but great originality. Deserts outstanding. Interesting and extensive wine list. Amazing range of cognacs. Excellent service and atmosphere. Enjoyed watching the chef through the window up a few stairs. Highly recommend!

The €29 lunch menu was great, with very good food. Service was a bit slow, but they gave us a free shrimp, which was a nice touch. Overall, a good experience.

Absolutely fantastic meal! The wife and I visited this restaurant on our peniltimate night of our trip. One of the best restaurant we have eaten in the region. We had the 44 euro menu and it was worth every cent. I would have been happy to pay 60- 80 euro per head for what we had eaten. Fantastic restaurant and fantastic service. Would highly recommnend

Beautiful interior, lovely air con. Lunch menu brilliant value. Beautiful food. Beside train station, if needed. Staff very nice and friendly. I will go back.

We had an absolutely delicious and imaginative vegetarian meal.We were surprised to find a restaurant that would go to so much trouble to prepare a veggie meal , normally we have to settle for omelette or pasta/pizza . We shall return !

Lovely food, cooked perfectly for €17 each but very expensive other items - €5 for a bottle of water??? €5 for 120ml Vin du Pays Charentais wine (and that's the cheapest!)?? Suddenly €34 was €54.

Food was great. The service was not levelling the food. Wating 20 minutes just to order coffe. Waitress was constantly looking in another direction.
