⚠️ ATTENTION FOREIGN TRAVELERS: AVOID THIS RESTAURANT IF POSSIBLE!!
If you don’t speak French, proceed with extreme caution, especially when ordering wine.
This restaurant appears to engage in dishonest practices, such as presenting a much more expensive bottle than what was requested, without clearly confirming it. The price discrepancy is often only discovered at the end when you’re handed a shockingly inflated bill.
This did not feel like a misunderstanding. It came across as a deliberate bait-and-switch, seemingly targeting travelers who may be unfamiliar with the language or the wine list.
I’ve shared my experience across multiple travel forums to help protect others. Please don’t let the language barrier turn you into a target.
💡 TIP – IF YOU STILL CHOOSE TO DINE HERE:
• Point directly to the wine on the menu.
• Ask them to repeat the name and price clearly before confirming. Stay alert and make sure your dining experience is one you’ll remember for the right reasons.
