The 21 Best Restaurants In Marseille - Marseille - The Infatuation

"On any warm evening, the sidewalk and entire dead-end street surrounding Le Vin Sur La Main are filled with mismatched vintage chairs and tables. Marseillais arrive by bikes, sometimes with their dogs, pulling up for a glass. It’s not uncommon to hear English, and if you’re sitting inside—a shoebox with rough stone walls, soft bossa nova, and low lighting—you’ll likely make new friends. Wines are all €7-€9 by the glass or from €30 per bottle, and everything is natural and from Provence. The short food menu always has fish (from the market at Vieux Port) and vegetables (from an urban farm in the 14th arr.), in dishes like mullet crudo with garden peas and rhubarb. You can pay by card except when there’s a guest chef, which is usually Sunday but can change, so check their Instagram before you go." - sophie friedman

Le Vin sur la Main Review - 2nd Arr. - Marseille - The Infatuation

"On any warm evening, the sidewalk and entire dead-end street surrounding Le Vin sur le Main are filled with mismatched vintage chairs and tables of varying ages and sizes. Marseillais arrive by bikes, sometimes with their dogs, pulling up for a glass. It’s not uncommon to hear English, and if you’re sitting inside—a shoebox with rough stone walls, soft bossa nova, and low lighting—you’ll likely make new friends. There’s no wine menu per se: the server will ask you if you want white, orange, red, or rosé and make a recommendation. Wines are all €8 by the glass or from €20 per bottle, and everything is natural and from Provence. The short food menu always has fish (from the market at Vieux Port) and vegetables (from an urban farm in the 14th arr.), in dishes like mullet crudo with garden peas and rhubarb. We spent a wonderful February evening at Le Vin Sur La Main, enjoying a beautifully selected bottle of white wine that perfectly set the tone. The highlight was the baby goat dish, tender, flavorful, and exquisitely prepared. What truly made the night special was our conversation with the chef, whose passion and warmth added a personal touch to an already exceptional experience. If you’re looking for great food, thoughtfully chosen wine, and genuine hospitality, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to return!

I will remember my evening in La Vin sur la Main for a long time, just a wonderful space and a lovely relaxed, classic atmosphere. The natural wines on offer were all fantastic, the staff were warm and friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. I felt like I was visiting the house of a close friend rather than setting in a wine bar. A tip for you is that the place is small and fills quickly, arrive early if you do not have a reservation.

Hi! 😊 We visited this charming little bar over the weekend, and it was a delightful experience. The girl who assisted us with the wine selection was lovely and helped us choose some excellent wines. She also shared interesting information about the local wines, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The wines were fantastic, and we can't stop thinking about them! The place itself has a great atmosphere and beautiful design. One main question: what kind of aroma sticks do you use?👀 Thank you!💕🪩

Our waitress was the loveliest lady with the best energy, she explained all about the wine and gave us 5 different types to try, she was more than friendly and such a good vibe! The food looked amazing even tho we didn’t end up trying anything, we’ll definitely be back to taste the local dishes! Thank you for such a lovely experience ❤️❤️

A must visit when in Marseille. Amazing atmosphere with special music fusion, warm and friendly service. The owner really makes sure you're looked after. Great selection of the organic wines. We tried a sparkling red that was super tasty and refreshing. Try some tapas- everything is soooo fresh. We had sashimi with olive oil and fresh bread. The only problem was- we had to rush to our dinner booking. Cant wait to be back!!

Loved it here! Delicious wine and tasty small plates, it was really busy when we went but we felt so looked after. Definitely worth a visit if you're in le panier

One of my favourite spots while visiting France Portugal and Spain. They were very knowledgeable about their wines and the food was very reasonably priced but delicious. Definitely a must visit!
