It was out first time here for lunch hour. The restaurant was clean and the waiters were very nice in guiding us how to do the Shabu which was delicious. Waiters would always come in and check on us. I would definitely come back. I only wish that the entire meat selection was priced at the lunch rate. The prime meat during lunch is still priced at dinner price. Other that that it was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

Variety of meats but I did not enjoy the sides. They didn’t have a good variety of sides and what they did have didn’t taste good. The only side I enjoyed was Kimchi rice and I give it a 3 out of 5 so it was okay.

We came for lunch on a Saturday and the menu options and pricing are consistent for this type of cuisine. Beware that every person at the table will need to order the same thing (e.g., if someone orders KBBQ, Shabu, or combo, then everyone at the table has to order it). This was not posted on their website, menu, or at the restaurant so it made for an unpleasant dining experience for our party of 9.

I'd like to personally share our experience just due to the service alone. Jay was exceptional and I told him that as a past server and rating server's tips based on their performance, he shined. After speaking to him briefly I can tell he will have a bright future in whatever he pursues. Now for the food.. This actually used to be my favorite kbbq spot. $32 for dinner all you can eat now - eh it used to be cheaper but whatever. But the quality of meats went down in my opinion. We used to get the beef belly for its thinness and fat content. When I ate it this time it was rubbery and dry. We got the brisket thinking it would be better and tell me why management decided to get the leanest cut of brisket with barely any fat. I thought I was eating leather... If you want kbbq you'd might consider other options. All of this is not Jay's fault though he did an exceptional job and was fighting an uphill battle. The entire establishment was decently clean KEEP THIS UP. We appreciate him and hope this establishment makes some necessary food quality changes. Thank you.

Great, high-quality all-you-can-eat kbbq for a decent price! We love their beef tongue and galbi, as well as their radish side dishes! The staff was also really nice, helped change out the grill often, and were pretty efficient with bringing us our orders of meat!

Google
Great experience! This was out first time at a Korean BBQ and we enjoyed every part of it. As soon as we walked the greeter was so nice, we told him it was our first time and he took the time to explain the process. We were sat right away. Our server also explained about the type of meat, soup, and veggie bar. Both my husband and I got the soup and BBQ. The seafood broth was amazing! At first we were shy about getting veggies but then we got the hang of it and it was game on! Our favorite was the beef short ribs, season was perfect. We also tried the octopus but I wasn't a big fan. I love this place and for sure recommend it. It was a cool, fun experience. If you're thinking about trying it GO! It's all you can eat for $40 a person for both the soup and BBQ and don't be shy like we were!

Google
5 Stars Really great spot! The service was super friendly and quick, and the place had a chill, comfortable vibe. Everything was clean and well-kept, which is always a plus. They had some solid deals going on too, which made it even better. But the food? So good. Everything was fresh and full of flavor we left full and happy. Definitely coming back!

Love the quality of their meats and the side items like their salad and cheesy corn and fried rice are to die for🤤 The beef bulgogi and chicken teriyaki yum yum go on and get you some 👏

Yelp
We've been here twice now. First time we were here was a big gathering with about a party of 11. We got seated in the separate area from the sauces and hot pot toppings. It was a weeknight and lots of parking. I was excited to try this place as I've never had shabu shabu (hot pot) before at a restaurant like this. I've had kbbq but never both at the same time. Most places will ask if you've been there before or not and offer explanations. However here I think they just cut to the chase. There really weren't any explanations, although in hindsight i realize there's some instructions on the menu. I will share with you my experience and what I've learned. 1) it can be overwhelming that you don't know what to focus on. If you're like me keep it simple. Less is more. Our big table had some people doing kbbq only and some doing both hot pot and kbbq Since I didn't know what I was doing, I was following what most people were doing which was grabbing the large plate for the hot pot toppings, but I grabbed way too many cause I wanted to try everything. I also wanted the sauces too which I filled up. So on and so forth. As soon as I got back to the table. Each has their own few selection of meats which can crowd the table along with the hotpot ingredients and sauces you can grab. And not to mention it was dinner time so we had the ban chan (all the side dishes). Our service was good. The servers checked on us regularly to change the grills and get our meat orders. The server was very observant to look for catastrophes like me and to prevent them from happening. The server foresaw that my hot pot was gonna boil over with how much stuff was in it so he grabbed an extra tall container to put my extra broth in. My mistake was wearing white pants, grabbing too many hot pot toppings, and using a big plate for it. There was no table space, I was literally holding my plate of hotpot toppings in one hand above the table and trying to eat my soup and Kbbq with my other hand. It was a mess. I got the beef special soup sauce (red) all over them. That was my fault. Cons: There was hardly any table space which is one of my complaints for a place that serves such variety. For the second time, I decided to get the smaller plate for hot pot toppings which kills two birds with one stone. So due to my first experience, i learned not to grab too much. The second time we went with a smaller party of 5, I followed my idea and the table was a little less crowded and chaotic. Hot pot I'd say was a good experience. I tasted 3 of their broths and they were all flavorful. Special soup (spicy beef), k house beef, and chicken. I'll try the miso one next time. My favorite meat would have to be the pork belly, which was fattier than the beef belly. The extra sides that they have are bigger than bite size in my opinion and if everything is boiling hot it's not too fun to put in your mouth. Unless I decide to start cutting up my ingredients but I'm lazy. I'm sure there's not a right way to eat hotpot/ many ways to eat it. - you could eat it with a big ladle from the boiling/ very hot pot -you could scoop the contents of the soup into a smaller bowl with everything to help it cool down For sides I would recommend is the cheese corn. It's a must!

Yelp
Took our whole family for lunch...my sister lived in Korea for years, my daughter in college is a KBBQ aficionado, both of them said this is about as good as you're ever going to find it. Beyond the superb cuts of meat and excellent bar of toppings, the service was impeccable and the place was really clean and well decorated. We all had a wonderful time.

Yelp
Great quality and great price point for all you can eat. I will definitely be back asap. The service is super fast and this is a classic place to go eat if you live in Dallas.

Yelp
Craving hot pot cuz we were feeling like we were eating too much fried type foods on our Texas trip. Found this place on Yelp and rushed over from the airport to make get the $22.95 lunch price that ends at 3pm. Staff was friendly when I rushed through the door asking if I was in time for the lunch pricing. Staff was super nice and didn't rush us at all. We got a total of 6 plates of meat which was plenty because they have a seafood, veggie and noodle bar to get additional items for your hot pot or kbbq. I was leery of the seafood and waited a day to post my review to make sure I didn't get sick and I didn't! The meat was sliced perfectly and the options of veggies and noodles were great. I didn't like the crab or crayfish as I think they were previously frozen cuz it was mushy. The clams started off good but I had a couple of sandy tasting ones so I stopped eating them. They even have a banquet room near the back if you have a large party. Overall, it was a great place for a great price. If this place is a chain, I'm going to look for them in the Bay Area!

Yelp
From the looks of KBBQ on the outside, it looks very clean and attractive. Inside, it also looks clean and organized. As you enter, on the left is the utsensils and soft serve machine. One side is for KBBQ and the other side is for Hot Pot. There's a small section for the vegetables, noodles, fruits, and seafood. Inside the seafood there were ice to keep it cold. I understand the concept they were aiming for, but it was a bit of a hassle to separate the seafood and ice cubes. I liked how the food was clean and organized. My husband and I went to the Hot Pot side before my flight. We got the house special hot pot and 3 sets of 3 different meats (I forgot which ones we selected, but it was probably the most popular ones). After selecting my vegetables and seafood, the hot pot was ready for us! I was pleased to see the broth was ready quickly. As I tasted the broth, it was a bit bland, however, when I placed all the vegetables and meats into the broth, the taste got better. The staff were very attentive to my husband and myself. I liked the button on the end of the table. That's a nice touch! The button is to let the staff know if you need anything. Thanks for a great meal!

Yelp
This was a good shabu place after a long trip of Texas bbq and burgers. A good selection of veggies and seafood for the hotpot toppings. I also like how they offer so many sauces at the sauce bar. The service was quick and attentive. Bussers quickly cleared our empty dishes and made space for our clutter of dishware. Ambiance was clean and modern interior. There's a cool corner bar too. What was really cool was they offered tortillas and springroll wraps for the kbbq. And bonus, free vanilla froyo! One thing to note is that your group needs to order similar meals such as just shabu, just kbbq, or both.

Yelp
This place is spot on for Kbbq. Roomy booths to set everything all up, plenty of fixings to concote a sauce of your desire for the table. I just got the Kbbq and opted not to do the hotpot. They bring out a slew of sides that are all rather tasty and I would be happy to have most of them in larger portions if the main event at a Kbbq place was not the meat! They kept the burner plate pretty clean by swapping it out a few times during the mean. Everyone who Kbbq's knows that you put some bulgogi on and the plate is scorched for the rest of the meal. The Kalbee was outstanding. They servers were very attentive and everything came out quick when you ordered. Definitely will go here anytime I am in the area.

J S.

Yelp
Good food, competitive pricing, clean restaurant, good selection on the bar/sauces, fruit and fro-yo for desserts, BUT TAKE NOTE that your ENTIRE TABLE must order the same thing.....either BBQ, or Hot Pot, or combo...but all seated together MUST ALL order the same. This is not clear anywhere until you sit down and honestly is a big let down. Then even then the server really didn't know how to adequately explain it so it created more avoidable confusion and frustration. I get they likely have had issues with people sharing and not paying full price, but then address the problem with those customers that do it. There are honestly better or equivalent places like this in town that are more convenient to get to, do not have this limitation and this has to be costing you customers - you lost 9 from our party. Other reviews mention the same issue so I only assume more have been lost as well.

Yelp
Place is great if you are in the mood for all you can eat korean. Always get the weekend deal. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Reviewing this place after I've been here for the 1000th time. This is my to go to hot pot place. I take all my families and friends here whenever we are in the mood for hotpot. They have an amazing selection and it's so fresh! The restaurant is always clean, everything is always stocked, and the service is superb. I have not had one bad experience at all. Everyone I brought here agrees that Lee Dae Gam is pretty darn good. Their broth is so flavorful and they have so many options too. If you love Haidilao but it's too far for you, this place is the best alternative! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

Yelp
The food is ALWAYS great here. Plenty of variety. Perfect place for parties. We have been here a while now , ever since 2022(?) I believe... but it's been a while. We love going here. Today was an exception. We had a party of 6 (4 adults , 2 young kids (3 & 6)). We knew that they don't usually want you to share if you're getting different things, and before they said if you sit on different tables it's fine as long as that table get the same thing. So we sat down- the first waitress came to ask what we would like (shabu, bbq, or combo). I told her me and my kids will only do bbq and the other 3 will do only shabu. (My kids do not eat shabu- we have tried and tried and they don't like it--they love the bbq). Waitress told us that because of their policy-- we cannot split. I said ok, then we (me and the kids) will go sit at a separate table. The other 3 will just do shabu at different table. A second waitress comes over and told us-- "um you cannot occupy two tables-- that's not allowed" --"either get the same thing or leave". I was appalled. I said the other 3 will go sit anywhere you want them to sit and we will sit at our small table (only had 4 chairs for 3 of us). She said "no we saw you come in as a group, so you cannot just sit separately-- you have to eat the same things/pay for the same thing". They are basically saying that we all have to pay combo price if we want to eat there since we wanted different things. Absurd! We were already sitting at different tables. We will pay separate checks! I don't understand the logic. They think we going to reach across to go and eat their shabu while I grill my meats? Please. Get a grip. I've been dining here many times and had no issue. My family had 40+ people there for a reception of a small wedding and multiple birthday parties with 20+ people all the time. And these waitresses wanted to fight over some stupid policy and be so strict as to not even allowing us to eat unless we eat the same thing or pay the combo price. That is ridiculous. What's worse is the waitresses just don't care and just want us out. They said "just leave if you don't want to follow the rules". How rude! Luckily-- this review is Not 1 star because of the manager on duty named Nicolas. He was Very understanding and recognize me from our previous visits multiple times. He didn't find any issue with me sitting all together and having different things. He offered to personally serve us and provided us our table and even assured me he won't charge the service charge (18%). It was nice of him. I don't get why waitress wanted to power trip and be so strict. I even ask to call the owner and I will talk to him. Our family spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this place over the years , invited many friends and family here where a lot of them haven't even heard of them. I hope they have better communication and I sure hope those waitresses get reprimanded for their rudeness. I do hope my tip goes directly to Nicolas and not the waitresses. Thanks Nicolas, for being amazing and doing your job.

Yelp
Amazing selection of meats and cookable stews, great vibe, maybe a sketchy location but not that the owners have anything to do with that. Great date spot

Yelp
Always nice food and experience at this Korean style bbq and shabu restaurant. Friendly staff.

Yelp
Delicious food, good service. Restaurant was clean and the AC worked well. Be aware of the automatic 18% tip for a party of 5+.

Pauline J.

Yelp
Had the Korean bbq. The kalbi and pork belly were good. We ordered 2 other thinly sliced meats and they crumbled while they cooked and just burned. The banchan was ok. The cheese corn was all cheese. Was disappointed and will not go back.

Yelp
I don't know why I have yet rate this restaurant! This is the spot we go to for the best shabu ever! Service is always friendly and phenomenal, but more importantly the food is the best of the best! This is our go-to joint for dinner with the family! :)

Yelp
Lee DaeGam is a solid option for a smaller or larger groups of people for a heavy lunch or dinner. There was only one server and he did an amazing job attending to us and the rest of the guests. I opted for the shabu shabu. Out of the 4ish options, I opted for the Chinese huo guo option which said it was spicy but it wasn't really spicy in my opinion. The stations were all well kept and clean. Some of the plates we used were still wet though. I'd also say the corn cheese has too much cheddar cheese. Overall, solid for groups.

Yelp
Lee Dae Gam K BBQ & Shabu takes Korean barbecue to a whole nother level. They do a phenomenal job with their table side Korean barbecue as well as shabu-shabu. The service is excellent. All of their food is Super Fresh and very delicious. They are specially clean in all areas of their business from the prep stations to the serving stations everything is spotless. Now let's talk about our dining experience the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very very pleasant. I can't wait to go back to Lee Dae Gam K BBQ & Shabu because the food was such a phenomenal dining experience and it was also so tasty.

Yelp
We came here after a long archery session so we were starving! I had never had hot pot before and my friend swore up and down this was the best hot pot nearby - she was right! The waitress came by soon after we were seated. It did take a little bit to get our broth, but since you go and pick out your veggies/seafood/noodles/sauces before it was t really a big deal. The selection here is HUGE and the quality of the meat is excellent. We will be coming back for kbbq here at some point. My only complaint was that the women's bathroom didn't have toilet paper. Other than that it was an excellent experience.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
The meat quality was quite good for an AYCE. The beef belly and the brisket were my top picks from the lunch menu. We received ample attention from our waitress and it proved to be a good pick to stuff yourself for lunch.

Yelp
Came back from a weekend trip, it was a cold and rainy night. It was perfect for some hot soup. So straight from DFW airport, we dined here e heading home. We came around 7 p.m. Thursday night and the wait was not that long only about 10 minutes. We like this place. We did the All you can eat Shabu-shabu. The meat selection is pretty good. They give you, your choice of 3 selected of meat at a time. On the buffet island, they have all the usual stuff. Frozen Tofu, fish balls, mushrooms, green veggies, shrimp, clams, mussels etc. The soup is good, but to be honest, it is not the best. My husband had the spicy one and I had the beef bone. Not bad, but just not the best we have had. The staff is friendly and super efficient. Yes, we will be back.

Yelp
Good food, good service! I recommend going during lunch hours if you want to spend less.

Yelp
Late review from October. We were greeted when we walked in. There was a wait but it wasn't that bad for 2 people. We decided to go for the gusto and order hot pot and grill. We asked Roy, the host and our server for recommendations. We decided to go with Roy's favorites. Honestly, I forgot all the items he listed. It was tasty... I would come back but not choose the combo... either hot pot or BBQ.
google avatar

Jay J.

Yelp
Only had kbbq, no hotpot. Food quality is subpar, banchan is pretty bad. no Korean people go here (redflag) other places in neighborhood is better

Yelp
This place is next to my favorite karaoke place and I had not yet tried it. Finally got around to it and I can say I would probably not come back as there are better KBBQ places. What makes this place unique is that you have an option between the all you can eat BBQ or the shabu shabu version. What makes this place confusing is that they do not tell you that you only have access to the bar if you order the shabu shabu. I would say you should have the ability to at least get sauces from the bar. BUT- at least you can grab the froyo!!!! Anyways, this review is focused on the KBBQ. Let's start with the LA Galbi. The sauce is on the much sweeter side and not the typical marinate you would be accustomed to. The other meats are decent quality but the the two dipping sauces provided are a not so spicy red one and a sesame oil which has a ton of pepper in it. The Hawaiian steak does not come with pineapple although it is thinly sliced and comparable to the normal steak option. Love the unlimited steamed egg and the cheese corn. The side dishes are slightly lacking and the radish was a bit more bitter than I'd prefer. All in all, this place is okay but not anywhere I'd come running back to as it's slightly below average on all fronts.
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Never come down to the Royal area since I'm up in the frisco area. But just randomly picked this out of the others. Has ayce and shabu. I think they copy some other models in which they make galbi as premium and up-charge you. Not a fan of that. But got to try some of your usuals, Hawaiian, sirloin, galbi, brisket, bulgogi. All on par with your omi type establishments. Bout $32 pre tax. Fine if you are in the area.

Yelp
There was so much food and it was tasty. The waitstaff was attentive. I went there during late lunch/early dinner and that is a great time to go. They also have complimentary ice cream.

Yelp
it was a delicious meal, i've been to many korean bbq joints and Lee DaeGam is one of the best ones. the hospitality and food was amazing and quality was amazing as well. our waiter brought out many side dishes and was constantly checking on us and refilling our drinks. the service is amazing. i'll definitely be coming back soon. there are a lot of hotpot bbq places in this area but i would definitely come to this one
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic meat quality for AYCE! The prices are a bit more compared to other spots (Gen for example) but the quality of the meat was well worth it! We came at lunch time but opted for dinner and we don't regret it! The meats were so tender and flavorful. My favorite was the galbi
google avatar

Yelp
Good place. I liked my chicken broth hot pot. The service was attentive, the place is clean. Lots of parking spaces.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely loved this experience. The food was amazing and so customizable. The food what a bit expensive but it was all you can eat and they had many ingredients that were novelty especially in the middle of Texas. I especially loved how many sauces you can mix in and how many different types of noodles and mushrooms you could choose from. The waiters were very nice and checked in a lot! Can't wait to try this place again!

Yelp
Came on a Saturday around 1 PM. It was a cold rainy day so we thought it was perfect for hotpot. You have the option of just shabu, just kbbq, or a combination of both. We elected to just eat the shabu only. It is an AYCE location, so you can order as much as possible. For our soup base we ordered two K house beef soup. I think it had a good amount of flavor in it and I liked it. They have a good selection of sides for the hotpot that include fish balls, tofu, vegetables, and a wide selection of noodles. A good selection of sauces for you to enjoy the shabu meat as well. Since we came during the weekend, we had the dinner menu so we were able to select any of the meat choices. My favorite was #1 angus beef rib eye and the #3 angus choice round eye. I just found myself ordering multiple of those. The meat are very thinly sliced and the limit of 3 meats at once is a bit too stingy in my opinion. Our waitress was very attentive and constantly came over to check on whether we need to order more meat. Fear not, they also have a bell for you to try their attention if they don't come around frequently enough for you. We also ordered the steamed egg and the Korean cheese corn. Unsure if those are limited to the kbbq meal, but our waitress was kind enough to let us order it with our shabu meal. Decent sized parking lot. Doesn't seem too big so best to carpool with your party if possible. I'll be back to try their kbbq another day. Update: came back to try the kbbq. Decent selection of meats. Service was quick. Grills changed quickly whenever necessary. I'll be back!

Yelp
I have tried many Korean BBQ restaurants, but I could never find one that I liked. Ever since we found this gem, me and my husband are obsessed! We get the Korean BBQ and Shabu. We love the special marinated beef and the bulgogi, and the marinated beef ribs. The service is great, they are always switching the grill when it gets dirty from all the bbq. And the place is always filled with guests and the place si very clean, which is guess is why the place is so good. Especially in the weekends, it gets a little packed but they are open pretty late.

Yelp
I was really impressed with Lee Dae Gam. I love shabu shabu and I was impressed with Manna Shabu when I first moved into the DFW area, but I will have to say Lee Dae Gam is probably my new favorite place. You can either do KBBQ or Shabu (or BOTH) -- we opted for the shabu only option which was around $28/person (much cheaper than $39.95 option at 9292 Shabu in ATL). My mom & I both ordered the seafood broth and we headed for the buffet to get our salads & other soup ingredients. The broth itself was much more flavorful than Manna Shabu. Yes I could tell they definitely added some MSG in there (and I could tell after my meal because I felt soo bloated and was so thirsty for water), but the soup ingredients were much more plentiful than Manna (Lee Dae Gam even had Chinese flat noodles!) and the meat selection was pretty good quality considering it's AYCE! This place looks like it's pretty new and yes they do use more MSG than Manna which is a minus, but the atmosphere, quality and value really wins this one. I don't think I can eat here often due to the MSG overload, but it earns five stars for me and I will definitely occasionally return!

Yelp
Delicious!! Definitely hit the spot. The hot pot broth was yummy ( I got the number 1 broth). Loved the options on their veggies and their sauce bar.

Yelp
Good fresh food and perfect if you are very hungry. Kids 10 and over pay full price. Limited seating and parking.

Yelp
Was craving korean barebeque and saw the opening signs for this place so we decided to try it out. We had the bbq menu (even though they have both bbq and shabu shabu) and it was great. We tried out a couple items but the highlights were the beef short ribs (really delicious and fatty) as well as the spicy thin cut brisket (cooked super fast and was great with the dipping sauces) The service was great - we were frequently checked with. Overall a great experience. Next time I come here I will try out the shabu shabu and update my review.

Yelp
It was worth doing an AYCE here. It's actually my first time seeing a restaurant serving the cheesy corn and steamed egg to go with your meal. The meat were pretty decent especially the brisket. The banchans were amazing! You have to let them know if your party is doing the kbbq or shabu AYCE beforehand.

Yelp
Looking for a new KBBQ and shabu shabu place to try? Check out LEE DAE GAM K bbq & shabu! There are a ton of options for meats and shabu shabu, and each were nicely cut. There are some hits and misses with the kbbq marinate, but you can make your favorite sauce at the sauce bar to make it taste good. Customer service was 100% the best out of all the AYCE places I've been to (Manna, GEN, Yoon). Meats came out within 3 mins during busy dinner period, or just a minute at like 5:30 PM on a Saturday. I definitely enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. It's not big like other AYCE because there are like 15 tables of six max. The workers are constantly moving and checking on the customers-- so fast that before I even ring the bell for a new grill, they were already there to exchange it. All the food from the shabu shabu bars were nicely stocked, and everything looks super fresh. The meats were delicious, both shabu shabu and KBBQ option. My sister and I ordered so much meats that we almost exploded from eating. Luckily, they have delicious mango and strawberry froyo as dessert to help us hold everything down!! Overall, this is definitely my favorite place so far, despite it being 30+ mins away. Cost: $26.95 for either KBBQ or shabu shabu alone, then an extra $5 if you want both options. Ps; If you're worried about COVID-19, they check your temperature when you walk in, and there are gloves to use when grabbing food at the bars. I definitely feel more safe eating here versus GEN where it was super crowded.

Yelp
Such an awesome little Korean place as it has so much to offer! They have a huge selection of delicious ingredients to choose from for both KBBQ or Shabu. Service was friendly, consistent, and super attentive. Best of all, the cleanliness was too notch! I love when restaurants are immaculate down to the smallest of details. I would absolutely be a constant regular here if I lived even within an hour of this amazing little hotspot!

Yelp
My son and husband tried this place last weekend. Unfortunately, my son got food poisoning from the chicken that he ate. We will not be returning and I would not recommend.

Yelp
Decent quality meat options. Hands down better than most other places like Carrolton. The Hawaiian, pork shoulder, and marinated ribs are best.

Yelp
A fun atmosphere (they have somaek towers and TVs) for bbq and shabu combo with a fresh buffet of vegetables, seafood, and sauces. Meat came out quick with thick slices for bbq and thinner slices for shabu and good quality meats without excess fat/tendons. I'm glad they have beef tongue on the menu! The servers were quick to change the bbq pans and take our orders. I don't feel like the combo is worth an extra $7 per person and would recommend picking either bbq or shabu
