Houston’s Drag Kings Are Suiting Up for Their Moment in the Spotlight | Eater Houston

"An annual HIV/AIDS benefit for Legacy Community Health where performers received fistfuls of fake dollar bills from onlookers that were later exchanged for donations; the Dandy Drag Kings played to several hundred patrons there, the largest audience they would have all year, and performed for free. The event also highlighted disparities in treatment: while drag queen performers had an expansive green room filled with professional-looking makeup counters and enormous wigs on styrofoam heads, the drag kings "shared a small room, their bags spread over the floor." Legacy Community Health did not respond to a request for comment." - Lane Gillespie

Worst experience ever! I chose this clinic as my daughter's provider; we came to our first appointment, they refused to see my daughter because she was coughing. Her body temperature was taken and was fine, no other symptoms of covid-19 whatsoever. They refused to see her the day of the appointment because of the cough, but yet; after I refused to accept the treatment we were given by them, they offer to see her the next day like the cough would magically go away overnight. If You're in the business of caring for people's health, I think it would be wise to have options like a dedicated room to see patients with any kind of suspected covid-19 symptoms. By the way, three days later my daughter was tested negative for covid-19 in another clinic. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, not even if I'm drunk.

This is the ONLY place that I could find that would accept my son and daughter after moving to Houston without having to wait over a month for an appointment. I don't like how we can't pick the doctor they see but at least they are getting the help they need and deserve. The staff sometimes can be a little unfriendly in the front and annoying when you have to verify name, number, address, and Doctor to check in. It's almost as if they have issues with fraud or people claiming to be someone they're not but I think with the nature of this business that would. R difficult. Anyway, love Dr. Nazario. She is young but super intelligent.

I moved to California to Houston and chose LCH as my medical provider for my daughter, following happened: 1. Doctor made us wait for more than 40 mins 2.Nurse wasn't sure of the vaccine to be given to my daughter despite of sharing the medical record. 3. She was really irritated with my daughter crying. 4. Upon checking on vaccine she said i showed you the vaccine, why are you questioning again and again. 5. I requested her for my daughter's immunization record since i have to share it in day care. Nurse refused saying we didn't give her all vaccines..we cannot share it . 6. After leaving the clinic she gave me a call saying my daughter has 2 missing vaccines...i'm worried she has goofed up her vaccination..

Very limited service for the appointments they offer. You have to be there very early if you want to get a space. But unfortunately people are too rude to treat other people. When you call to a supouslly customer service they tell you, you can get there with no appointment. The lady at the front desk is very impolite, seems that she doesn’t like to work there.

I respect this clinic because my private offi e pediatrician was incompetent when it came to figuring out what was wrong with my daughter! Dr. Olster-holme came w a plan and we had a diagnosis by the end of the week after 40 days on antibiotics from her assigned ped! I really like Olster and have made this clinic our permanent provider

I have no symptoms of COVID-19 but my mom whom I live with was diagnosed with COVID-19 so her doctor recommended I do my test, so I more than likely have been exposed to this virus and wanted to take a test, called here waited for 30 mins on hold for them to say they don't test without symptoms know some people don't show symptoms is this how serious they are taking this "deadly" virus. They care for the glory here getting more positive test only! This is wrong!

This is the only place that would offer my son any help. I've been to 9 doctors and everyone said almost the same thing. I brought him here, and i love it. They work with him, and they understand kids.
