"This mall-adjacent sports bar is co-owned by Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor (Legion, as in of boom), so it makes sense that this is a football player’s idea of paradise. TVs everywhere, an extensive cocktail list, a soul food–influenced menu that is more ambitious (and a bit pricier) than your average sports bar. For all the high-end aspirations here, there’s nothing wrong with the smash burger, a pair of perfectly crispy, caramelized patties that feels like dessert." - Harry Cheadle, Eater Staff

"If the term "Legion" sounds familiar, you were probably living in Seattle around 2013. So it's no surprise that Legion Sports Bar & Grill has been opened by former Seahawks (and Legion Of Boom members) Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor. This new Bellevue spot is an upscale sports bar in Downtown Bellevue that adds to the list of other upscale sports bars in Downtown Bellevue. Expect soul food-inspired dishes, like cornbread-topped crawfish pasta, chopped cheese sandwiches, and deviled eggs with green tomato jam." - Kayla Sager Riley

I came for an R&B event so didn't eat but loved the property, decor and the staff were attentive and professional. Loved the cocktails. Will be back to try the food! Update: made it back for food and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Oxtail: smothered with gravy and fried onions. A little different than I'm used to but still delicious. 4/5 Red beans and rice: favorite of the night. Delicious. 5/5 Lemon pepper wings: a little disappointed with these. They tasted baked with not much seasoning. 1/5 Cornbread: delicious. 5/5 Yams: Delicious. 5/5

I had an amazing time at this place! The atmosphere was fantastic, with a beautiful bar that made it a pleasure to hang out. The service was fast and attentive, and the food was overall really good. I tried the gumbo, which was nice, but it didn’t quite have the depth of flavor I was expecting. It had a bit of a tomato paste taste and lacked that rich, soulful flavor I love in a good gumbo. That said, it was still enjoyable, and I’m definitely looking forward to trying something different next time. Overall, this spot is a great place to be, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

Legions was a surprise for me! I’ve never seen so many beautiful black people in one spot let alone in Bellevue lol! The atmosphere is chill, the music was some 90’s classics mixed with some feel good house music. It has an upscale feel with down to earth staff, the customer service was great! I didn’t try the food but I had an old fashion and it was made just how I like it! The only drawback was there wasn’t a lot of people but I’d definitely go back.

The food was bomb and prices are decent! The banana pudding is a must and the greens too!! Waitress was sweet and the atmosphere was nice. Would love to see much more Seahawks and LOB colors/memorabilia

The food was decent, but not as good as I had hoped. Definitely not like your grandmas soul food. Although the kale salad with steak added got a glorious recommendation. I enjoyed the fries and catfish sandwich and was told the corn bread was good. Wouldn’t recommend the sweet potatoes or the regular Mac and cheese. I love the little football pick for my sandwich. I kept it :-) GO HAWKs!!

Very cool sports bar! We went on Wednesday night and it was pretty empty but it was the day before the 4th of July. The food was very good. I had the steak and it was cooked perfect in my opinion. The drinks were well made and were not too strong or too weak. The portion size of the meals and appetizers were perfect. We ordered 2 deserts….and they were amazing. The brookie was awesome. It was plenty for 2 people!! Over all I’d definitely recommend this sports bar!

This spot is tucked away from the Main Street but worth the trip. Service was awesome our server was on point with refills and removing empty plates. Food was hot and came out quick even with the restaurant full of people. Chicken and waffles is a must and the fried pickles could be the best I’ve had. 10/10 would recommend and go back again even as a non Seahawks supporter 😂!

Soo… I hate to say it but I was so disappointed with brunch. I ordered the fried chicken benedict and to be fair it looked like it was going to be amazing. Presentation was beautiful. HOWEVER, the fried chicken didn’t taste fresh, in fact, it tasted more like it had been reheated. My egg was completely cooked AND they hella were stingy with the potatoes. The hollandaise was actually pretty good tho. Overall the dish could’ve been better. Also ordered a side of cornbread, it was gritty, like maybe it hadn’t been mixed properly and it was sunk in the middle (IFYKYK) Again, disappointed. Ive come here a few times and overall the service is usually great. But we had minor issues…for example, we asked for a booth and the host stated it was only for large parties (important to note, it wasn’t busy). We later saw him seat 2 different parties of 2 in a booth. Our server was ok but overall really slow with the service. The atmosphere was always a vibe. Great DJ, very entertaining and even a raffle in between quarters. I’ve come here before and tried the catfish bites and those were absolutely delicious. So I’ll definitely be coming back to try something different from the menu.
