Will this BOOM or BUST? I am a 12 like any respectable Seattleite. But I gotta be real, if this restaurant were a team it is playing at the lower 1/3 of the league.
I'll start with the good. The service was good. The hostess and waitresses were all attentive, attractive, and very sweet. The food came out promptly.
Ambience was what would be expected of a higher end sports bar. Dimly lit, dark furniture, and TVs everywhere. However, IMHO, it was relatively uninspiring and felt like a stuffy cigar old boys bar. Those with light enduced seizures, beware. The multitude of consecutively placed screens (playing different games) was a bit overwhelming. There were plenty of available tables on a Tuesday night.
We came for the Happy Hour, only to find out that it was limited to a chardonnay, red blend, and the FAAFO (like a whiskey sour but with other juices and sweeteners). The food was limited to mac and cheese, sweet potatoe fries with garlic aioli, collard greens, cornbread, deviled eggs with shrimp. I'm not sure how much of it was original recipes, but it was all ok and seemed premade. The sweet potato waffle fries with aioli were tasty. We also had the kale caeser salad which was not at all a caeser, other than maybe in dressing. The sweet cornbread crumbles did not do it for me when my palate was expecting it to taste more like a caeser. They need to change the name. The Mac and cheese was good but maybe a little more salty than i care for and the prices were definitely high, even with HH pricing.
My group really wanted to be big fans, but sadly it was a bust...Sorry Richard and Kam.
