Stopped here for brunch and was delighted! Our food (biscuit sandwich and chicken/flapjacks) was great! although I do wish the biscuit sandwhich had a fresher element to cut through the richness , still delicious though! Staff was super friendly!

Google
Went to brunch for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Mitch was our server and he was awesome! The food was delicious too :) Parking is a bit tight, but that was my only complaint.

Google
I got the salad w chicken ($18) and my friend got the basic order ($19). It was good! It’s just service was super slow. We felt that if we were the ones going to order and go to the cash register then we weren’t sure of the point of dining in. Maybe it’s bc they were busy? Not sure but the service was not good and it ruined my experience.

Google
A friend took me there for breakfast. What a nice place! I had the Cali omelette served in a canoe like bowl. Delish!!! Friendly staff, felt like a neighborhood spot. Lots of young people and an older guy like me. A nice couple brought Louise the dog. I made a friend. Their other dog is Thelma. Wish I lived closer.

I love this little place! The food is great and the service is very friendly and comfortable. After brunch, I sat and read my book under the tree canopy. So relaxing.

If I could put more than 5 stars, I would! Admittedly, I wanted to go somewhere else and was wary of the intricate menu with specialty food items that weren’t basic breakfast foods. However, fear not! The french toast is incredible, filling, and delicious. Truly one of the best french toasts I’ve ever had. I got full off of 1 slice, some of the chicken sausage and most of the scrambled eggs. I walked away with another meal that I cannot wait to eat! The mascarpone whip was also very delicious, I got it on the side just so I could eat however much I wanted without it being everywhere. The chicken sausage is great, seasoned well, and juicy. Eggs were nice and fluffy. As for service, we were seated quickly and the food came out quick as well. It was also easy to make substitutes. The patio space is beautiful and I recommend sitting there if there’s space/weather permits. My mom got the biscuit sandwich and she loved it. Ate every bite happily! My sister got the basic and also loved it. Would definitely recommend this place!! I hope to come back soon.

Google
I have accidentally found the greatest toast in all of America. I was here to meet some friends for an event and thought I’d pop in for a quick bite. I ordered the avocado toast thinking it would be an unremarkable snack. Have you ever experienced something so above and beyond expectation you wonder if you’re on a hidden camera show? This toast is that good. Toppings were fresh, seasoning was on point, and the toast was perfectly soft but toasty. Also ordered the Michelle Wi which lemonade and black tea. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff, nice patio and neighborhood parking nearby. Would it be rude if I ordered another toast? Actually considering it.

Google
We love this place! The food is great. The service is impeccable and they even bring your dog 🐶 a water bowl so they can drink. I 100% recommend their biscuit with their house jam.

Yelp
Where do I even start! Another great find in this area that I never knew even existed and I'm so glad he found it. When we drove up, I literally said oh my gosh, this place looks so cute!... And then I got even more excited that they had a huge parking lot lol! We ordered French toast and a biscuit sandwich and had a bottle of champagne and pineapple juice and enjoyed our mimosas under a shaded patio. Their food was pretty good. The sandwich had perfectly runny egg on top of perfectly cooked patty. The French toast was just the right sweetness with fresh fruits. It was pretty darn good. Definitely enjoyed this place and I'm sure we'll be back again. Happy eating!

Yelp
Today, I had the misfortune of having the worst lunch of the year at Lemon Poppy. Upon, entering, my friend and I, decided to sit inside, at the last table furthest in. Emory, our waitress, was in a foul mood. My attempts to be kind to her were met with disdain. My friend ordered an orange juice that looked like it was going bad and I ordered a Salmon that I returned because it was undercooked and tasted foul. Both my friend and I were ill after eating there. Emory did not instill confidence that she could be trusted preparing our food. We made a mistake by not leaving and we paid the consequence for it. I will never be returning here.

Yelp
Love this spot... been goin for years. Today was the first meal I've bought that was off... ordered medium rare steak and over medium eggs... I received over easy eggs and medium well steak...

Yelp
Hidden in a parking lot plaza, this little breakfast place shines bright with its yellow exterior. Plenty of seating inside and out. Loved the vibes here. Service was great if you enjoy a relaxing place to be. My friend and I came here for breakfast on a Monday morning. She got the Turkish eggs and I got the breakfast burrito. The burrito has these crispy potato's that was such a great addition. Both were yummy! They also have a spicy sauce on the side - mango habanero that I loved. Overall, great place to meet with a friend to catch up and food is decent for the price. It's a little bit of a mix between American and Mexican flavors. Almost like a testament to the area it's located in.

Yelp
First time here and the motive behind the two stars is the food! I ordered the salmon and eggs and none of my food had flavor. Also, my salmon was overcooked. The drinks I ordered was red sangria and hazelnut latte and they were not that good in my opinion. The sangria could have gave a little more sweet to it, and the latte was not that great. Their salt and pepper was only in the tiny paper packs that are on the plastic Togo utensils, which made out party question why they do that. !?? Hmmmm.... However, our server mason was good and funny. This made the experience better because he was the only one who had such a good personality out of the crew. It was 10 of us and we sat outside near a bush and that was annoying. My friend who did the reservations asked for inside, but once we got there they sat us outside anyways. The ambiance is just decent. Outside is not great, but inside is more live and better ambiance. It is small inside but better ambiance than outside. It's a lot of parking in the lot, so that was a plus. In a nutshell, I just think the food could have been made better and much more flavor.

Yelp
Cute little patio. Great lunch spot, we went on a weekday. Had one of their vegan desserts, a strawberry cake which was very good, I wasn't able to tell it was vegan at all. Service was great as well, very attentive.

Yelp
I just so happen to do laundry a few businesses' down from here, so when I'm waiting for my washers to finish - I pop on over for a quick bite. I get the same thing every time. I deviated once, but will never again. Turkish eggs. They are....the perfect meal. Garlicky, tangy, herby, spicy, eggy, bready - it's PERFECTION. It's literally the most perfect meal to exist, the only negative aspect is that eventually it ends. A solid shout out to the coke espresso - a favorite of mine. I am usually in and out before my washers finish, it makes doing laundry that much more bearable.

Yelp
Loved this place! The service was amazing and super dog friendly (s/o Mason)! We loved the chill atmosphere on the patio. We ordered mimosas for the table (pineapple) and loved it. The steak and eggs were a good portion and the fried potatoes that came with it were fantastic! We also ordered the huevos rancheros and loved them as well! Would definitely come back again! :)

Yelp
Parking: Decent amount available in parking lot Ambience: Provides both indoor and outdoor seating, with the indoor decorations and staff providing a welcoming environment. Seems to be fairly busy around brunch time Service: Very friendly! Our server accidentally spilled some chips when he set a plate down, but he did offer to replace them, so no complaints here :) Taste: Got the chilaquiles and turkey avocado sandwich, both of which were great! The chilaquiles were seasoned well and packed with flavor, would highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here with friends, group of 5. I had an amazing dining experience at Poppy Lemon! The food was absolutely delicious, with both vegan and non-vegan options that catered to everyone's preferences. I opted for the salmon with veggies, and it was cooked to perfection--flaky, flavorful, and complemented beautifully by the fresh veggies. The customer service was top-notch, and the ambiance was perfect for a relaxed meal. The outdoor seating area was surrounded by lush greenery, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Cute little spot for a quick brunch. Located in a small plaza with shared parking. I went for a late brunch on a Saturday and there was little parking but I got lucky because someone was leaving as I was arriving. They have an outdoor patio with a cool chill vibe. Good for small and larger groups it feels like. They also have pastries and a coffee menu so if you want to just order inside and go, you can definitely do that. It took them a while to seat us but once they did, service was quick. They took our order, brought out our food quickly, and the bill was on our table. I get that they're busy and probably need the space, but it did feel rushed, even though they reassured us that we could take our time. The menu has a lot of brunch staples. I went with the chilaquiles. They were ok. I would order something else next time but still glad I tried them. I also ordered a turmeric latte and that was good. We ended up ordering a pastry at the end. We dug into it before realizing they brought us the wrong order. Our waiter noticed and said he'd fix it but we told him we'd just keep it since we already had taken bites out of it. I'm glad he was attentive enough to realize the error and tried to rectify the issue, so extra points to the staff for being on top of their service despite the chaotic brunch rush! I would be interested in returning for a non weekend brunch to see how calm this place can get. I bet sitting on that patio on a nice quiet summer day would be amazing.

Yelp
Came across this place while looking for a place to grab brunch at. I did not realize how popular their outdoor patio is, but there was definitely a wait for it when we arrived. We waited about 15 minutes and decided to sit indoors. It did take a while for someone to take our order, but the staff were all very nice and welcoming. We tried their steak & eggs and turkey avocado sandwich. The food was good, I was hoping to like the sandwich a bit more but it was fine. I would love to go back and sit on the patio!

Yelp
The turkish eggs are delightful. I've never had a dish like it. Great combination of flavors!

Yelp
This place is fantastic. They are so humble and down to earth. I once went in towards the very end of their shift and some lame disgruntled hipster guy was complaining about the fact that they were closing up shop and he couldn't order because the kitchen was closing. They were so polite and stood up for themselves despite this gentrified poser dude who looked like he hadn't washed his hair a day in his life. They are a super cozy little nook at the corner of a cute little shopping center where you can sit and have a coffee while you do your laundry. I love the sandwiches and smoothies! This place is truly the best!

Yelp
It is in a very yellow building with inside and outside seating areas. Very neighborly vibe. There appears to be two or three wait staff taking care of the inside customers. They are very helpful but don't seem to know how to anticipate the needs of the customers. Ordinarily when it's breakfast, one would get the question if the customer wanted ketchup or any other condiments but that was not part of the wait staffs questions. I know that she didn't ask us because we had to ask for it. There were no condiments on the table so it should be part of their questions. Instead one gets ignored until your request creates more physical action. The food is very good. The cook actually knows how to cook "over easy". A fellow customer says though that it is a " hit or miss".

Yelp
Food is so good and fresh today we had green gazpacho, corn ribs, guacamole w chips, shrimp cocktail, fish tacos, a banana bread and a chocolate chip cookie. So tasty and the variety was just perfect. Love this happy place to eat.

Yelp
Lemon Poppy Kitchen is a cute place on the corner of plaza off of Verdugo Road. I had a chance to dine in and get a bite over the weekend. FOOD Winter Chop + Salmon A winter appropriate and very tasty salad with vinaigrette dressing. The salmon was nicely done and with crispy skin and moist. The roasted sweet potato, butternut squash, fire roasted red peppers, avocado, green onion, toasted pepitas, and fried capers was a great balance. Though, I would suggest a bit more greens or another hearty green. SERVICE The staff was friendly, and the food wait time was acceptable. PARKING There is plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. PRICE The price is fair with other eateries that serves a winter salad with a salmon add on. Give Lemon Poppy Kitchen a chance and try their lunch or dinner menu!

Yelp
Popped in to this cute breakfast/brunch location to eat before a college tour. It is outstanding! The service is so friendly-they offered suggestions for things to do in the area during our stay. The food was delicious. Their outdoor seating is a quaint little garden setting. I had the biscuit with jam and my son had the tres leche waffles with bacon-fabulous!!

Yelp
This was my first time here and I'm so glad I came. I went to an estate sale nearby and this place popped up. The people that work here are so nice and friendly and it's such a great location and space. Very spacious and they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything was delicious and came out timely.

Josh H.

Yelp
The workers were nice. Signing up for a table is a sh*t show. The guy taking to go orders also puts names down for tables. After ordering I said "should I wait over there for a table?" He stated that he did my order to go and it seemed to cause a big stink with the staff. I don't know.. If the same guy is taking names for tables AND taking to-go orders, maybe ask "for here or to-go?" Really easy. Burrito was ok. A bit small for the price, but good. The side potatoes were good but WAY too many burnt inedible small pieces. Like 50/50 to edible parts. Honestly I don't think I'll go back again.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not usually a fan of brunch and this place was definitely not for me. The food took a while to come out and was pretty bland and disappointing when it did. The wife's food came out straight cold (even though it was meant to be hot).
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious. Absolutely going back. And the staff is so kind. They put up with all of our silly requests without bating an eye. So sweet!
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Over the years the service has continued friendly, but gets slower most every visit. The recipes are excellent - this last visit, I tried the Turkish eggs with chicken sausages. It was a very interesting blend of spices and texture, but was not helped by the eggs arriving only barely warm, and covered with actually cold, pre-cooked sausage. When I mentioned this to the server, they were sympathetic. But clearly unsurprised.

Yelp
Came to this restaurant for Sunday brunch with my husband and it was so clearly a five star experience. Sure, I can describe the ease of parking, the chill ambiance, and the super friendliness of the staff, but I will spend most of this review describing the biscuit Benedict Florentine because I'm pretty sure I'll be dreaming of this dish for weeks. If there is the possibility that I get pregnant any time soon, I'm pretty sure this dish will be one of the things I'm craving. It was a little different than a traditional florentine because it had kale as well as spinach, biscuit instead of English muffin, and a layer of sautéed shallots. The eggs were perfectly poached and the lemony hollandaise wasn't overly heavy or rich. It was so well balanced and each component was able to stand out instead of gradually mushing together. The other items we ordered were also delicious and we look forward to returning and probably bringing a friend or two. Also, I'll add that we were seated fast, food came promptly, and weren't rushed by our server, all things that make a five star experience for me.

Yelp
Oof, I dropped by today for the first time and I'm already looking forward to the next time I'll be here :D Cutest little cafe with a nice shaded patio outside. I had a hair appointment next door at Gregga LA (with the amazing Amy!), but I got there early and decided to check Lemon Poppy out in the meantime. I couldn't be happier about this particular setup The cashier was super helpful and patient with me as I figured out what to order. I ended up getting an Iced Americano, the Tuna sandwich, and also their buttermilk biscuit. Their Americano was solid, along with their biscuit which I inhaled way too fast - I would literally come back for those two items alone. The tuna sandwich was good as well, but not my favorite. I only say that as I really wanted to get a brunch item if I had time to sit down, but since I didn't, I opted for the sandwich. But, I will say that the sweet pickles and olive spread made it not only tasty but also unique. Really enjoyed the arugula salad it came with and felt it complemented the flavors in the sandwich very well. Overall, it's good but not memorable imho. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Yelp
Amazing hidden gem! This is my second visit to LA and this will be my go to breakfast spot ! Great customer service ! Super cute and cozy patio and the inside was also beautiful! I tried matcha for the first time here and it was delicious! The potato's were crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside my God so good ! And the chicken sausage was amazing not too salty! It's everything was fresh kind of like farm to plate if I'm saying that correctly lol we will definitely be back !

Yelp
My friend and I came here for brunch last Saturday. The shaded outdoor patio was lovely, weather notwithstanding. It was hot and humid, but the staff kept us duly supplied with cold water. (I also got the most refreshing Hibiscus Shandy!) The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. They were also quite busy keeping up with the orders, and I appreciated their hustle. I ordered the LPK Frittata, while my friend ordered the Flapjacks & Chicken. Both were incredibly delicious. I look forward to trying out more of the brunch dishes!
google avatar

Kelly B.

Yelp
I keep coming back here because of the breakfast burrito although I always see lovely plates of food come out of their kitchen. I am trying to decide whose breakfast burrito is better...theirs or Delia's (also nearby). They both got the potato, egg and bacon thing going in just the right way but both have different sauces but both equally good. There is something about Lemon Poppyseed's crispy potatoes and the bacon and egg is just yum. Maybe I will quit deciding who is best and enjoy the fact there are two breakfast burrito's nearby that satisfy the urge when it arises. Besides telling you they have a delicious burrito they also have a variety of coffee and morning drinks to help a person get their day started. The reason for the four is service as it varies between walk up counter and then sit down. Today for instance I got my food before my drinks which came a lot later.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute weekend brunch spot. Staff were really nice. The pastries were delicious, especially the gluten free lemon poppy loaf. Other food was solid, the chicken avocado sandwich was good.
google avatar

Rich A.

Yelp
A friend raved about this place so I was as talked into dining with my friend to see what she raved about. Wow what a disappointment. Saturday morning 930 our waiter seemed half asleep. We placed our order and was delivered cold eggs hot potatoes, Luke warm toast and the stalest coffee with no utensils Absolute horrible service from neglect. I think my friend was embarrassed for having recommended this place.
google avatar

Shareefa A.

Yelp
We were told it's a 10-15 minute wait. After 30 minutes, they said 10 more minutes. We ended up waiting for 50 minutes with no clear end in sight. So we left. They could have been upfront about the wait time, or perhaps asked people who were hanging around long after having paid that they have patrons waiting. Instead, they chose to just waist our time.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute outdoor set up. Good food & drinks. Most suitable for small groups and / or couples.
google avatar

JoCory B.

Yelp
Food was 10/10. Order steak and eggs, and also had chicken and waffles (best thing ever). Service was also great.
google avatar

Yelp
For a couple of dog lovers, this place was perfect. Quick service on their patio and a pastry case inside filled with goodies. The shrimp & grits is southern girl approved. A breakfast spaetzle was an inspired dish topped with a perfect sunny side up egg. Chatting with the neighboring table guest and meeting their dogs was an added bonus. We can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Holy Schnitzel! Been a minute since I was here last. Now, table service and as always, an awesome menu with nods to Hungary, Austria and Mexico. As someone who grew up on goulash and paprikash, I praise the stab at schnitzel. Slightly thicker than it's Austrian counterparts, this dish was also enormous. Two pounded out chicken filets (had to box one to go) with the perfect breading and crunch. The chicken can run dry due to its thickness but the jicama and pepper slaw moisten it up. And while I appreciate the charred lemon, it unfortunately zaps the much needed juice from it. Citrus is always a wonderful counterpart to fried foods as it cuts the grease. Just wanted more. Overall, another great experience. And as usual, service is always on point.

Yelp
Service is great, food is even better!! Wow highly recommend those pancakes! And ask for the homemade chili oil!

Yelp
My fave couple brought me to this cozy and pretty place in Glendale to try Romanian food coz her hubby is Romanian and we are lucky to found Lemon Poppy. We love the food and Madeleine because of her superb service. They have a variety of food selection no wonder their guests coming that night are Europeans, Americans and Asians, interesting!
google avatar

Mieke C.

Yelp
Everything was so good! I had the vegan bowl with added chicken (it's not so vegan anyway), and it was so tasty! Their dining area is like picnic chairs and tables. So cute. Parking was easy and abundant within the plaza.

Yelp
Just hosted an office breakfast catered by Lemon Poppy, and I couldn't be happier! Anca, the owner, walked me through the different catering options and customized exactly what I needed for my event. She was flexible with scheduling and super responsive with her communication. I ended up ordering large trays of the breakfast potatoes, cali scramble, a fruit tray, and half sheet orders of the lemon poppy cake, berry buttermilk cake, and the coffee cake. Everything was ready to pickup on time and Anca even thoughtfully included serving utensils, napkins, etc. I didn't know what the final product would look like since I didn't see catering pictures, but the presentation was BEAUTIFUL *see pictures below - I couldn't catch a picture of the cake and fruit because it went so quickly*. My coworkers loved the food and there were zero leftovers. All in all, it couldn't have been a smoother process and the food also tasted amazing. Thank you, Anca & Lemon Poppy Kitchen!!

Yelp
We loved our meal here at Lemon Poppy Kitchen. I miss a good Italian polenta with marinara, but this Mamaliga (crispy fried polenta with red peppers, pork belly, fried egg and feta & Monterey Jack) far surpassed my polenta experience heretofore. The Cali Scramble (cremini mushrooms, spinach, onions, Swiss cheese, garlic-thyme butter) was excellent as well. But the shining star was the toast--never had better focaccia, butter & jam. The coconut banana bread was a bit dry but tasty. Would've been great with a glass of fresh milk. Our servers were wonderful. We ate out on the patio along with a few other parties and seemed to be in good company. Keep it up, Lemon Poppy Kitchen!

Shirley K.

Yelp
I ordered the basic breakfast and chose bacon and multi grain bread. The eggs were perfect, the bacon crispy and the potatoes so tasty you wanted more! Together, the charming ambiance of the place, the friendly waitresses and excellent food make this a winner.

Yelp
Excellent kitchen. Immaculate service. The dishes are prepared with keen intent and is delicious. Great spot!

Yelp
Beyond love this place! BRING BACK THE CRISPY SALMON (my fav). Other than that everything is great here... biscuits...cali scramble...the bees knees.

Victoria K.

Yelp
This is a super cute place with excellent service. The outdoor area is so charming! We have tasted several things and all have been good the last two visits. I have had the gluten free pound cake and it was so great. It was a large piece and totally delivered. Not too sweet. The mocha was also delicious. I have tried a dish with cauliflower and veggies topped with a fried egg and it was very good. My husband had the fish tacos and really liked those too. Service by Isahi and Sara was on point. Free parking. What else to ask for? Nothing. I will continue to retun here when in the area.
google avatar

Gor-Jess M.

Yelp
Great pastries. Awesome coffee. Fun, delicious and interesting take on food with the blending of Mexican & Romanian dishes. Have not had 1 bad meal or experience here. Service is attentive and quick. Will, Sasha and Maite are always kind and helpful. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant is colorful, fun and lively. Great patio space outside and the new awning is nice during those sunny LA days. Can't wait to see what Anca & Chef Marcos create next!

Shirley K.

Yelp
The food and service at Lemon Poppy Kitchen is outstanding. The ambiance is sweet. It's a fun place to go. The service people- (waitresses are charming). As to the price, it is comparable with other restaurants, but the food is not - it is much better. I have been there twice for breakfast and enjoyed it so much that I plan on going there for lunch. One constructive criticism - and I hope my review will be read by the management - refills of coffee are warm. I like my coffee hot but will take it as it comes. It's minor compared to their delicious food.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Lemon Poppy Kitchen consistently has great food. I love the Chicken Paprikash, the Salmon Spaetzle, and the Crispy Fried Potatoes. For coffee, I like the iced oat vanilla latte - super smooth espresso. It's got a great patio, and for people with reactive dogs like mine, there's a few picnic tables diagonally across the way (next to the art gallery) and that area's usually pretty empty and good for dogs who need more space.

Yajaira C.

Yelp
Food is not done correctly. Steak is too chewy and dry (I have no clue how they did that) flavor is okay could he better. The potatoes are the only highlight of a steak and egg dish. The eggs are done incorrectly and are still over easy when it was medium. Chef doesn't know how to cook. Also missed a meal Turkish eggs. Wouldn't order again

Yammel Nieto ..

Yelp
I love the home cooked taste to their meals and baked goods. Biscuits and jam is one of my favorites. Lattes are also great!
