A fantastic first visit to the new ownership at Lenny’s Deli. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. The owners, Lucky and Pavan, were generous with their time, and the recommendations from both staff and fellow guests were spot-on. I sampled their corned beef at the counter and then had the famous sandwich, which was flavorful and truly outstanding. The butcher even shared what makes it so special (I’ll keep their secret!). The shrimp salad was fresh, the fries – both regular and sweet potato, were cooked perfectly. Don’t skip the bakery, the chocolate and pumpkin cake pops were a great treat for someone with a sweet tooth. Also, there were some delicious raspberry and chocolate rugelach desserts, which were perfectly flaky. With exceptional food and genuinely kind service, Lenny’s Deli has secured a regular customer. I will absolutely be returning!

I have been going there since I was 15 yrs.old.....37 years and they had the best food,especially chicken salad. I would drive 2 hours 1 way to get their chicken salad and it was worth every minute. I walked in there in 2025 and noticed dirty carpet and floors and said to my son....omg there has to be new management. Lennys has never looked that unkept and dirty. I was absolutely right about having new owners and it showed. Tonya is no longer there as well. She was the best. This place is now trash. The food, service and environment is horrible. I 💯 believe the review about roaches, because I noticed how dirty the place had gotten as well. It is sooo sad to see an American owned business ran in the ground by new owners.My grandmother would be devastated 💔. I will NEVER go back!!!!

Corn beef is not good. Basically it's mid and over hyped. It probably was good years ago. Sandwich was supposed to be hot. It wasn't even warm and the corn beef itself was super bland. Don't know much about the other items, but I've definitely had better corn beef.

I've walked past this deli quite a few times. I finally decided to give it a try last July. The line was pretty long. I ordered a 2 piece fried chicken with fries and a smoothie. The staff were very professional, helpful, and attentive to everyone's specific orders. I have no complaints.

If you're missing the deli experience outside of the New York area, Lenny's should help remedy that in Baltimore. It is definitely a gathering place in the morning and prices are reasonable. Choices are multiple and people seem happy to talk to you, anyone and everyone. Nice slice of Baltimore life

Went once and returned the following week. Tried both breakfast and lunch. Enjoyed the pancakes and french toast. My sweetie enjoyed a cheese steak sub with fries. The order setup will take some getting use to. Friendly staff. Looking forward to returning to try something else.

food is delicious and cheap, but the cooks were beyond disrespectful. i had to tell my order to 5 different cooks and then they yelled angrily when my food was ready. they told me to “WAKE UP” and “PAY ATTENTION” because i didn’t hear that the corned beef hash and eggs were ready. for context, there were 3 customers ahead of me, so i had no idea if the food simply belonged to someone else. management and customer support are some of the worst i’ve ever received at a restaurant. the food is good and i likely will come back, but management needs to figure out how to make their line more efficient and the cooks need a major attitude adjustment.

I don’t understand why you would give out someone DoorDash order to another person and then say “The order was given out” when it wasn’t even given out. I never received my order and it was given to the wrong dasher. Then you all refused to remake my sandwich and breakfast and cancel my order. When it was you all mistake that you all gave it to the wrong doordasher. I had to place another order just to get another meal. I’ve been faithful getting an order from you all and this is my first and last time doing it. Never again 👎🏽

The food is very reminiscent of old time delis. The atmosphere as well. The people behind the counter all seem focused on serving you a good time and good food. While not cheap, the prices are reasonable.

I ordered through GrubHub and while the delivery was a little long, MAN was it worth it! The Kosher Dog with deli mustard and sauerkraut was absolutely delicious! The pastrami was fantastic as well!

Lenny's is a much have for the locals! This should also be a must have for those visiting outside of the area. I went here specifically for a rainbow cake. It's my husbands favorite and they always have it ready to go. Service is quick and easy. You walk to the register and tell them what you want. From there you go to the register to pay. It's set up like cafeteria style.

Chicken boxes are tasty and good I would recommend the 3 piece and 2 piece I had a quick checkout also.

You are better off just going in the store. It takes way longer to order on line. I don't know if the wait is worth it

First timer at Lenny's this month. If I lived closed, I would absolutely go back constantly. It's a great diner and the food portions are large. Customers go through a (long) line to reach the counter where the several cooks make each order from scratch and right in front of you. There is a really large seating area of tables and booths. There is a dessert section that looks wonderful (but I did not try it so cannot provide an opinion). My whitefish salad platter was large and a great value for $16. Note that the corned beef sandwich is prepared on buttered and grilled bread - if you prefer straight out bread, tell them!

I've been going here since highschool- this is where we would go for breakfast on the weekends or if we had shortened days- I recommend the roasted white meat chicken with honey mustard The potato latkes The breakfasts are great the eggs and hashbrowns with a bagel are fire/ make sure to get the hash browns "on the grill" so they are crispy! You order at the grill and pay at the counter- You can see the food being cooked when you're ordering yours- The staff has been there for a while and they are kind very fast making your food- and they always get it right It's a deli style restaurant that also has a bakery side with delicious cookies and also bottled drinks It is clean and they are regularly clearing tables

we were in on the 4th ordered Greek salad and salmon on it. never received the salmon. called to get a refund and they said it would go back on our card. 4 days later still did not get a refund. when I called back in to see what happened with the refund, the manager said if you come back in he will credit us I do not frequent that area. and I will never go there again, nor will I suggest for people to have lunch there. terrible service

order food it took 2 hours to get one block not a fan. they left out food and no napkins As if they were just throwing the bag together with no care and want a tip!

Lenny's offers great classic deli food. The cold corned beef sandwich was very tasty! Matzo ball soup was equally good. We will definitely go back the next time we are in town!

never made it to the food, the man behind the counter was confrontational and obviosly under the influence of ***** it almost sounded racial, he kept screaming at us and wanted to microwave the pastrami instead of grilling it. we had to run out the door to avoid a fight, wives and baby first. they wanted to watch the football game. good luck going here if your wh8te

A great start to a day. Staff talks to you. Friendly, efficient. Food is good. Grits are the best around. Coffee is good. Bottom line is that this is a place to get food, talk to friends or watch CNN with captions only. No blaring tv.

Bought a half pound of brisket yesterday. The meat on all edges were brittle and dry. Ridiculous. Four chocolate top cookies were over $11.00 and not that tasty! Would not recommend, gone downhill.

A go to spot for a good corn beef sandwich. They have other food available their fried chicken is good and their chicken noodle soup is a good buy too.. if you are in the area and hungry give them a try

Lenny's has been a staple in owings mills for the decades. It has a deli section where you can order things to go and there's a counter where you can order breakfast or lunch for them to make on site. The last time I was there I ordered a bagel sandwich which was just okay. The bagel was a little dry and the ratio with the ingredients inside was a little off - a lot more bagel in each bite. The area to sit down is pretty basic but it's not super inviting I think discouraging people to hang out for hours.

Corned beef sandwich was excellent, serves was good and the staff was friendly. I highly recommended.

They have all kinds of sandwiches they have all kinds of food. The food is very, very good. You can watch them make your sandwiches and their corn beef is mouthwatering pastrami, and brisket. Also, it's kind of busy in the store at times because the food is so good but it's well worth the wait believe me.

I looked at the menu on the wall & decided I wanted a hot dog. The sign said "Jumbo Hot Dog" I ordered it & wen I opened it it was not a Jumbo Hot Dog & I was charged ten bucks for this here. I am definitely not satisfied.

came by for brunch and had the "Lenny's Special". Wow! The sandwich was piled high with bacon and the chicken was very crispy!

Never a disappointment when I come here. I've only been here for breakfast and it's one of the best breakfast spots in Baltimore. They are fast, efficient and food is very good. Friendly service and good atmosphere. Depending on what time you go in the morning, the line can be a little long but again the cooks work well together to get your food out to you in good time.

I've been coming to this local institution since the 1990's! This classic New York style deli opened here in 1985. While certainly renovations have occurred over the past 4 decades, the overall feel is the same. It's spacious with classic cozy diner seating and decor. The menu is simple but robust. Breakfast musts include the nova lox bagel, egg sandwiches, and the pancakes. The coffee is decent, with flavored brewed coffee and two coffee machines; Folgers for plain and decaf, and another machine for special coffee drinks. They do not make espresso drinks or drip pours or any hot drinks by hand. Lunch time musts include the pastrami sandwich or really any sandwich you enjoy.... All are piled high with fresh ingredients. The deli has a good selection of items for bulk purchase, such as chicken salad, egg salad, cheeses, deli meats, bread, pastries, etc. Stop in for breakfast or lunch. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered lunch here yesterday over the phone for take out. I ordered a half a Reuben sandwich and a house salad (the combo special). When I walked in I was impressed with how big the establishment is and the assortment of food items. I was also happy to see NJ/NY style baked goods. So I ordered some leaf cookies and vanilla lace cookies. The cookies were good but I think they might have been a little old as they were not quite stale but definitely getting there. The Reuben sandwich was also tasty. I think I received the wrong salad. I ordered a house salad but received a apple pecan salad. I'm not sure if that's their house salad or not but it was good. My complaint is the size of the half sandwich. For $16.50 I feel like it should have been a bigger portion for the price. Overall it was a good experience. Would I go out of my way no. Would I come back maybe.

Suburban House used to be my "Go to" place for Deli. Then they had a fire and moved to Pomona. IDK if they started using lower quality meats or not, but the deli meats were not good. So I switched to Lenny's as my choice for corned beef and other deli items. I always liked their Corned Beef and Kugel. But almost a year ago something seemed off. The Corned beef was was Chewy and dry. The Kugel lost it flavor. Ok, I figured everyone has a bad day. But I've ordered the Corned beef for takeout and eaten inside. Thus NOT the same product I used to like. IDK if they have changed suppliers, but I'm done. I never minded paying Lenny's premium prices for high quality meats. But I do have an issue with paying premium prices for what to my taste buts tastes inferior

My Reuben was phenomenal! Super busy deli with an authentic old school vibe. There is plenty of seating. Very organized set up. Very very busy though! Be sure you have time if you go inside. Parking is easy but the line was almost at the door when I walked in. A sure sign of delicious food. I heard the tuna sub was amazing but I love a good Reuben so I ordered that instead. I was not disappointed. The bread was toasted just right. If oversized sandwiches are a thing this was it! Served with a bag of potato chips and a pickle. It was perfect. Will be back to tey the tuna for sure!

Amazing food especially when I am on the go. When ever Iam near I stop at Lennys for breakfast anytime of the day. The staff makes me feel welcomed with ever visit and food is made fresh to order. I love the cafeteria style

Loved the large menu. I'm not sure how I've been living in the area for almost a year and just tried it. I ordered the Ham and Swiss with mayo and lettuce on a brioche bun. The service was great, the employees were constantly cleaning & the baked goods were amazing as well!

Definitely would never go again. $60 on food that was extremely disappointing Ordered a cheesesteak sub, lettuce tastes old and slimy, and our fries looked like they took a dip in the oven (extremely undercooked). I was hoping for a better experience as I've heard a lot of good things but man am I disappointed. $60 for 2 Reubens, 1 cheesesteak sub, and 2 sides of uncooked fries is not it.

Good all around deli type food. Much more reasonably priced than nearby Essen Room and just as good if not better.

I wrote a not so pleasant review as my experience there was anything but pleasant. Since that time Linda ??? asked me to reach out to her. I did reach out to her via email as she had requested and since that time she not only did not respond to my email, but she removed my review. This establishment is nothing like it used to be. Poor Lenny; his business is being run into the ground!

Been coming to Lenny's on and off for years, has some of the best Reubens in town no question bout that. Also has good breakfast items. The staff there are great, some have been there for a long time. If you get the opportunity to go there ask for Smiley if he still works there. One of the most down to earth guys there. All in all I would definitely recommend coming here for good sandwiches, fried chicken, grits, as well as salads. The only downside to Lenny's from my perspective is that the tables are not always clean.

Health Code Violation - Poor Personal Hygiene. Very disappointed in the service, I had to ask an employee (Ike) to wash his hands after coming from the back with a open beverage in his hands. Ike just put on his gloves without washing his hands and wanted to prepare my food. Another employee (Ricky), had to ask his co-worker, Ike, to wash his hands not once but twice. BTW he did not use any soap. The staff needs to be trained on Safety and Sanitation. Personal Hygiene Mistakes: -- Not washing hands correctly (employees must use soap, warm water, and wash hands for at least 20 seconds) -- Open employee beverages in work areas (employee beverages must be covered by a lid and only placed in designated areas)

A visiting friend led me to Lenny's, which made sense, as the deli seems to be a well known neighborhood meeting place. She'd never been to this (or any other) location, but had fond memories of Jack's Corned Beef so wanted to support the family that had continued the corned beef tradition in Baltimore. How much did her decades old memories matter? So much that she put her vow to stop eating beef aside for just long enough to order and eat this one sandwich. And yes, she tells me now that it was totally worth the 20 minute lapse! The space is separated into two sections. First is the hot counter, which you can move along as you order your hot sandwiches, pot pies, and sides. We were greeted and helped by Darren, who took a few moments to greet a familiar face while concentrating most of his attention on us. It was obvious that he'd been working there for some time, as had most of the staff. I enjoyed the ease in which he engaged my friend, and the speed in which he created our sandwiches. The second space is a large deli/bakery counter. We did not explore, as our sandwiches were more than enough. My friend was momentarily tempted by an order of onion rings, but was happy at the end to only be stuffed, not overstuffed! I love in an area with a bunch of Jewish Deli options, so don't need to make a trek up here for a good corned beef sandwich, but I'm really glad that Lenny's was there to spark her memories into life. If we come back we will explore the menu beyond the Cloak and Dagger sandwich, and we will absolutely add onion rings to our order.

Been coming here for years so I'm a little biased as I always get the same breakfast sandwich, I did try the Matzo Ball Soup which was delicious (it was lacking in meat or maybe I wanted more matzo I can't recall). I'm headed here now for my usual order, will add photos shortly ! The staff has been the same for years so you'll definitely feel at home and appreciated, even when service is busy! Don't forget to ask for a Lennys card so you can rack up some points ! Sad I'll be leaving soon but if I ever move back to MD I'll be moving nearby :) Oh I haven't had it but the Reuben looks AMAZING! I think I'll try that before I head out in January! Okay so my friend had the cheese and grits, he said they were amazing. The cheese penetrated all of the grits without making them too soggy or dry. I was concerned because it seemed like a lot of cheese but he said it went through perfectly adding the right amount to flavor (he said it tasted like nacho cheese). He didn't have to add anything extra to make them taste good ! my sandwich is good per usual!

Poor service and overpriced sandwiches for what you get. Waited in line several minutes before anyone even acknowledged I was there - and it was not that busy at the time. Even then, staff was very curt and not friendly. Food was decent, but overpriced for portion sizes. Doubt that I will stop again.

Lenny's is one of the best deli's and bakeries in Baltimore County, or anywhere! My boyfriend and I got pickup orders, but I went inside and the bakery was FULL. If you don't mind entering restaurants during the quarantine, I recommend going in. We got a Reuben, a tuna salad sandwich, western fries, onion rings, and chocolate top cookies. The Reuben was packed with corned beef - it was sweet, salty, and creamy. A great Reuben! The tuna salad is the best around in my opinion - it's a little sweet, and perfect on rye. I highly recommend it! The western fries are a must get. They're thick cut, and one order seems to be about 2 potatoes, it's huge! Lenny's is the only place I can find western fries like this, seasoned and a crispy breading. The onion rings were actually great! I don't love onion rings but Lenny's are really good. Crispy and not too greasy. I also like that they have a lot of the smaller sized ones as I find big onion rings are hard to stay crispy. Have not eaten the chocolate tops yet but I've had them before. They're sort of like home-made Berger cookies! Definitely recommend. Overall, everything at Lenny's is part of their elevated deli experience. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It's always a treat!!

Hi... I was in Baltimore and visited your business again. My brother-in-love and I Ordered a Turkey Rueben and it didn't disappoint. Husband ordered a corn beef Rueben. It was too much for me to eat. Lenny's was closing but they let us order. Good customer service again. See you next time.

So I originally stopped in for chopped liver. Asked if I could taste it first. Well, it felt like I tossed a handful of sand in my mouth. The gritty feeling stayed with me for a while. Then I remembered that the tuna was made with sugar, but there were "lots of people who liked it that way." So I asked about the chicken salad. Same response "that's made with sugar, too." I decided on white fish salad. Took it home, and what I have here is a container of mayonnaise with an occasional piece of white fish. For those of you who like sugar in tuna and chicken salad, you've found your sweet spot. For those who crave gritty chopped liver, you're set. And for those of you who like a bit of white fish in your mayo, more power to you.

We frequent Lenny's for location and availability. We always have a pleasant experience. This most recent visit was a cool Sunday afternoon. It was very busy and I've never seen it this busy before. The assembly line had a problem keeping up with orders and unfortunately got mine wrong. It was repeated several times. That still didn't ruin my experience. I just blame it on the BUSY. My husband and I will return. The next time I will triple check my order. The employees are ALWAYS friendly and respectful- a pleasure to talk to.

Stopped in for breakfast & I was in for a treat. It reminds me of how Katz Deli in NY was while I was growing up back in the days. A throwback Deli... every person serving is a fun Character & wants you to have a good experience. Although I did not actually eat it, the Fried Chicken looked DELICIOUS. If you're around the area, stop in & treat yourself to a real Deli experience.

This is Lenny's Deli. This is one of the places known in Baltimore. One of a few names that comes up when people ask for a "Real" DELI. But today it fell short. I have had the Reubans from Lenny's before, but this time, "Meh!" Know this is more a review for the owners and not for these choosing a place to eat. This place has a lot to offer So one visit is not enough. So here is my reasoning for the 2 stars on this visit. I will come back and test it again. - The Reuban sandwich was not juicy crispy, more heated soggy. - the onion rings were large but slightly under cooked. The breading fell off in pieces not clumps. Think oily gut heavy not light and crispy. + Bathroom was clean-no towels but still clean. (While I was there... 15-20 minutes later a guy went in to clean the rooms, so its a positive.) - Tables were filthy. I came just after the lunch rush, but that to me is not an excuse. Wiping down tables is a constant that must be kept up. + Signs were posted on the floor and walls to keep distancing. + Employees were helpful. +No hand sanitizer that I could find or use. I will have to come back and try it again to update the review.

I have been a customer from the start of Lenny's. We live close to the store. The food and service was much better years ago. Portions have gotten smaller. Prices have gone up. Quality has gone down. Workers do not respect the customers like they use to. The career workers are very good. You can tell who cares and who does not. The "do nots" should be fired. They are making a poor name for Lenny's. Also the rewards program was cancelled. That's also a shame. I spend hundreds of dollars at this deli every year since they have opened! I feel the current owner is ready to let it go. I sure hope he tries to sell it to someone that can breath new life into it. I think that's what Lenny (may he rest in peace) would have wanted. P.S. Don't allow workers to cut lox if they don't REALLY know how to do so. At today's prices doing so is a total rip off.

Great Ruben! Plenty of eating tables and kept clean. Bakery has large selection of goodies too.

My friend and I went there a couple days ago because he had always wanted to try it. I got the Cobb salad and it was good. I mean you can't mess up a salad. But the sandwich he got was a ham and Swiss and it was not worth $12. It was really just a couple slices of cheese and ham on white bread that was not toasted and very dry. I thought they would have at least toasted the bread but to give us a sandwich like cold and dry like that is ridiculous. Every deli we have been to at least toasted the bread. Hopefully if we go back their other foods are better then the dry ham and Swiss he ordered.

Went for superbowl take out. Matzoh ball soup and corned beef were good. Coleslaw was tasteless. AVOID the cookies! Bought 4 kinds ... all stale and inedible. 4 rugelach cost more than $5 ( over $16/ pound for cookies??). Little cinnamon bars tasted rancid, They were all so dry and tasteless, threw them all out.
