Bought an almost 80$ bottle so was kind of disappointed when they wouldn’t stamp my rewards card because it was placed online and not bought in stores. I found Leon & Son online while searching for a wine expert to help host a private wine tasting. I reached out to the store and they quickly put me in touch with Ramsey, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We spoke multiple times leading up to my event and I felt confident that it was going to be great because of him. At the event, Ramsey spoke about the wines I had bought from Leon & Son, all of which were incredible and well priced. He made the wine tasting fun and those of us who didn't know much about wine felt that he was so approachable, patient, and sincere. My group had a wonderful time and I am so happy I found this business. I will be going to Leon & Son for all my wine needs in the future and highly recommend Ramsey for any event!

Wonderful wine shop with knowledge service, broad offerings, and a well-curated selection. They have a range of high end champagne, and flagship Tuscans and burgundies, including large formats. However, at lower price points they also have interesting wines off the beaten path, all of which are delicious. The one caveat is that they might not be quite as cheap as some of the larger Manhattan institutions, but they make up for it in service.

So I love this place I came in a non wine drinker looking for a sweet wine.The lady working at the time pointed me to this one in particular that she thought was one of the sweetest. So I took her suggestion and brought it thinking to myself, ehhhh it’s probably not that sweet.But OMG the best wine I’ve ever tasted lol it was so tasty and sweet loved it!

I was searching for one of my hard to find whiskey, which it happen they have it and at a very good price. So I placed an order to have it picked up so I can check out their store. They sent me a text to let me know my order is ready for pick up. Store is not that big, but they have good selection of wines. Some good selection of whiskey & bourbon at reasonable price. But I wish they have more selection of whiskey & bourbon. Overall, this is a good store with great price. I will be checking their website for the whiskey & bourbon that I want. Great store!!!

I felt unwelcomed here. Walked in and no one greeted me. There were two staff members behind the counter and one other customer. I asked the free staff member for assistance with a chilled wine. He seemed annoyed that I asked but proceeded to help me, first asking for my price point (interesting) and then second for my sweetness preference. He showed me one bottle and I decided to go with that one. He checked me out and I left. I didn't really get to look around (I was carrying groceries), but the store is small, nicely decorated, and appeared to have a decent selection of wine from various regions. Not sure about price points overall, but I paid MORE THAN TWICE the average price point for the wine I purchased. I understand inflation but I wasn't expecting that difference in pricing. This is the closest wine shop to my apt, but I'd rather go elsewhere and spend my money where I feel like I belong, with warmer staff members.

What a wonderful store! They are one of the few wine stores in the USA carrying cases of specialty wines such the amazing Les Capriades Pet-Nat Pinot Methode Ancestrale 2018 I tasted at Bar Bete on Court Street last week. They were also able to recommend a few other like this gem that is simply amazing!!! They give 15%off on cases and offer free shipping g in NY and Brooklyn. They also ship to most states in the US. Aside from ordering online, Will definitely be going in person on my next trip into Brooklyn. Highly recommend!

I've bought wine from here maybe three times now those three times were before COVID-19. The staff were pretty cold often found them offering to help people that walked into the store after I did. But what really turned me off them was ordering online during covid-19. They tell you that should you choose same day in-store pick up that you'll receive a text from them. I ordered at around 11 am and didn't receive anything from them. Called after 7PM just to check in and find out what happened, was met with a hostility on the phone and was somehow blamed for not getting a text message that they were supposed to send? What could have been a simple "don't know how/why that happened, sorry." Turned into a "maybe you put your phone number in wrong or it went into your spam text inbox. The person then decided to remind me they were closing and that I should come tomorrow. Definitely not worth it. Walk down to Olivino's on Clinton and Fulton, they have a better selection of wines and spirits and are wicked friendly.

Placed an order for delivery through their website and was called shortly after with the information that one of the bottles was no longer in stock. Completely understandable, obviously, and they took questions on what I was looking for in a replacement and said that even if there was a difference of a few dollars on price point, they'd get me something great and curated. Can't really ask more from a business, and I'm looking forward to trying my new ~special~ wine, along with the other three bottles that were my choice! Thanks, all.

There's always people very aggressively asking for money out front, so waiting in line isn't my favorite thing in the world, but thankfully they have an excellent website and ordering online in advance makes things not just much more convenient but also much more quick, so the waits outside are short.

When only 1 person is allowed in the store at a time, due to Covid, you'd think the 3 employees working would have more time to educate themselves about the products they carry... instead of just constant wine tasting. Don't get me wrong, I'd be all over those free samples, but when a simple question is asked to the staff and the response is, "I have no idea," that's embarrassing and obviously doesn't encourage future business. There is a reason I continue to shop here and recommend it to friends even though I left my beloved Brooklyn for the burbs. And there is no shortage of good wine stores either in my area or in Brooklyn! The curation and variety of the wines coupled with the breadth of knowledge across the staff, plus the excellence of their monthly wine club are all reasons this shop remains among the best wine stores in the nation.

Good selection of wines. I'm sure if you're nearby they're great for pick ups and online local orders. But if you need it shipped to you, I would look elsewhere. They don't insure their packages (to be fair, it does say that on their shipping policy) but if a bottle breaks, your SOL. You can either replace on your own dime or be out the money. In my case, $70 for 1 bottle. Shipping speed isn't the quickest either.

Convenient and good selection in the neighborhood, but customer service is inconsistent, most of the time, it's lacking. There's one gentleman behind the counter who is helpful and friendly. As for the others, I've walked in and the staff actually finished a personal conversation they were having with each other before even greeting me. I've also walked in without being greeted at all, even after I initiated the 'hello-' which the customer should never have to do. Girl, you and I are on the only ones in the shop - you're not that busy.

I placed an order for local Clinton Hill delivery for a few bottles of wine for my friend for her birthday. When I called to check on the order, an associate named Marcus let me know that their delivery person had already finished his run for the day and the order would go out at some point the next day. I told him this was ok but I was a bit bummed since it would not arrive on her actual birthday. He immediately offered to hand-deliver the order himself to her apartment down the street. We've been going to L&S for wine for years and have always loved them--friendly and helpful staff, incredible wine--but had to leave a review after they went above and beyond this week. We had a very small pandemic wedding with just our parents, and asked the shop to help us put together a case of wine. Even in a super-busy week for the shop with the snowstorm, Travis took the time, asked thoughtful questions, and immediately gave us a ton of options with detailed descriptions of each bottle and why he recommended it. They delivered on time and every single bottle was delicious, memorable, and went perfectly with our menu. We could not have been happier with the entire process and although we were already big fans of the shop, we will officially never go anywhere else. They are the absolute best!

This place is top shelf all the way.. This place is awesome, like awesome, awesome.. From spirits to wines, they have such a wonderful curated selection. We arrived close to 9 o clock, they were sampling three really delicious wines. We got to meet the owner who walked us through and was super patient with us. I got to see they had wines from every major region in Europe, to California and the new stuff Abe Schoener is doing with Scholium and beyond. It was just a beautiful selection. If you are a wine and spirits geek you will be super happy, if you are looking for an education, you will also be supper happy. They had things from an $8.99 Vinho Verde up to some really classic wines, all priced incredibly well. The spirits, everything from local whiskeys and spirits to interesting and new Vodkas. I am so happy this is next to my house.. What can I say, i am so excited.

I love this spot. Whenever I'm in town I try to make it out here as the selection of wine is awesome and more importantly the owner is really great. He's not pushy, he is attentive and he's happy to provide suggestions on wines you are looking for within your budget, which is something I sincerely appreciated. Not to mention they do a bunch of tastings during the week during after hours and sample all sorts of wines I don't think I would have otherwise tried. I always leave with a smile on my face; it's funny how much I'll learn about a new varietal or producer just by having a quick conversation with the staff. Highly recommended!

An absolute gem on Fulton! They are so engaging and clearly want to help you figure out what kind of wine you like, without any pretense. They seem to be well versed in the types of wine they have and where each one came from. When I walked in on a Saturday evening, they had a table set up to offer a tasting of a variety of their wines, and they explained each one meticulously. They also have some local whiskeys, and some other spirits. Price range is really affordable and up, plus a punch card - after 13 stamps, you'll get a free bottle of wine (I think up to $20 worth).

This shop is the most welcome additional to the neighborhood in the 28 years I've lived here. A terrific selection but not overwhelming, Chris knows his stuff and he chooses carefully. They are helpful and welcoming, no pressure and no snootiness -- you will get answers to your questions in plain talk, with enthusiasm. They seem to have no marginal wines -- you will not be disappointed at any price point. They also stock some truly unique spirits, including some great local gins. The space is uncluttered and just feels good. The shop has become a part of my routine that is simply a pleasure
