L'épicurieux

The service was a bit slow, with our food arriving after about 45 minutes, likely due to the busy Cannes Film Festival crowd. However, the wait was worth it! The steak was perfectly cooked, the ravioli was rich and flavorful, the Caesar salad came with delicious crispy chicken, and the fish was expertly prepared. Despite the delay, the high-quality food made for a memorable dining experience.

The worst incident in my life. Instead of chocolate fondant, they brought me a cupcake heated in a microwave. There are many photos of this dessert in my feed. The first time they brought it to me cold. The second time, barely warm. When I showed a photo of what it usually looks like in their restaurants, they started yelling at me. They accused me of having a photo from another restaurant. But when they saw that the photo was from reviews, they admitted that it was a cupcake and said, "This is how it is today." They dragged out time and did not bring the bill. They yelled at me throughout the restaurant, the lady and the waiter laughed loudly and discussed me. It's a pity I'm a tourist and don't understand the language. I immediately said that I would pay for this disgusting cold cupcake and wanted to leave this place. At first I didn't understand why there was so much negativity about the service in the reviews. But now I understand. I hope that people who value the quality of the products and service will avoid this place.

We enjoyed the flavors, and the presentation of the dishes, dishes have deep flavor but where not overpowering. The waiters enjoy explaining the dishes and seem very involved in your experience. The prices are very reasonable.

A nice restaurant with the staff very friendly though a little slow. The food is very good! Delicious! Strangely served vodka at the end of the dinner 🙂

We enjoyed an excellent dinner at L'epicurieux. Located in a vibrant area, the service was wonderful and friendly. The food was delicious! We shared the zucchini blossom fritters I had the seared tuna with gnocchi, my daughter had the bolognaise.

Very lovely restaurant. Waiters are super nice and friendly. Food is very authentic and tasty. Highly recommend their beef tartar! And fries are so good as well. Great place to have lunch or dinner.

An unforgettable experience at L’Epicurieux! From the moment we walked in, we felt so warmly welcomed. Patrick and Nono went above and beyond to make our evening special — their energy, knowledge of wine, and genuine hospitality made us feel like honored guests. The food was absolutely delicious, perfectly paired with incredible wine recommendations. The ambiance was cozy and Patrick and Nono made a great personal connection with everyone who entered the restaurant. They led us through the wine menu, served exactly what dishes we were looking for, and made the dining experience a truly memorable one. We had a lovely experience here! We arrived a little bit before normal dinner time, but they welcomed us in and it wasn't a problem. The owner was so kind and accommodating. He translated and explained the menu, suggested wines and checked in often. The food was delicious and fresh. There's clearly passion and experience here! Highly recommend.

Decent service with bland, forgettable food that leaves much to be desired. Carpaccio, Angus Beef, Foie Gras, you name it, we tried it - meh. Their drinks were ok.

My family and I didn't have a place to eat lunch in Cannes and we stumbled into this restaurant! What a pleasant surprise! The food and service was incredible! I loved the hospitality and everything was cooked perfectly! The octopus salad was absolutely delicious!

The service as L'Epicurieux was the best we experienced on our trip through France. The waiter was very friendly, fun, happily translated the specials and made excellent wine suggestions. He gets five stars. The ambience and small outdoor seating were also great - quiet but centrally located on a pedestrian walk way. The food however was more like three stars. While the truffle pasta was exceptional, the rest of the dishes were average. The pesto pasta lacked pesto, the lamb and tuna were both over cooked. Not everything was hot (perhaps because of the small kitchen and our larger group). I think we would come back to drink and hangout with the friendly staff.

I stopped in here for dinner last month and while the service was good, my food was just average. I started with the foie gras, which was bland and had a very hard texture. For my main I had the steak and frites and once again, the flavour was lacking. Once I added a heavy dose of salt it became edible, but still disappointing. Given the large number of excellent restaurants in Cannes, I would not return. Nice wine selection though if you are just needing a beverage!

The food here is unbelievably good. Me and my husband are visiting From ny, and we thought every dish served was melting in our mouths. We ordered the Camembert cheese (was sizzling and warm drizzled with honey and walnuts), the octopus salad (wow, the best octopus we ever had... so fresh) and I ordered the fish filet (seabrim I think it's called) and hubby had the veal in a champignon sauce. Highly recommend! Wow ! Will be coming back if I ever come to Cannes!

The waiter was simply wonderful! Helpful, informed, and accommodating. We had the duck, lamb shank, and one of the specials- all were well prepared and savory. Desert was the upside down apple pie- crust was tender and filling. Highly recommend eating here- off the beaten path of traffic, great ambiance, and the service was amazing!

We've made a reservation for 7pm here and enjoyed the food. Be aware - they dont serve food after lunch time (cheese and jambon plates only) Prices are good comparing with other places nearby (salads ~€15, main dishes ~20, wine ~€5-7/glass. Staff is super friendly and they speak English. Cod fish with bulgur and lamb with potatoes was awesome! Recommend this place with French food.

Found this by accident but we had a wonderful lunch. Salmon and toasts, truffle pasta, great baguettes, salad with pasta and pesto. Everything we tried was delicious and the staff was gracious. Great midday stop.

Ducked in out of the rain, shortly before they opened for dinner. We ordered some wine while waiting for the kitchen to open. The owner/ waiters were great. They worked seamlessly as a team. He recommend 2 consecutive great bottles of small local vineyard wines. We had a veal; fish; and a duck dish of the day and all were amazing. Great flavors and sauces. Cafe gourmand for dessert. It was absolutely packed by the time we left, granted it was day one of the boat show. Overall great experience. Price for what is served was reasonable.

We were in Cannes for a long weekend and happened across l'Epicurieux for dinner on a Friday night. We weren't familiar with the restaurant when we arrived, but after eating there and conversing with the wonderful owners, Patrick and Mélanie, we would recommend l'Epicurieux to anyone passing through Cannes. Excellent food, impressive wine selection, and amazing atmosphere. Definitely a place to return to should we happen back to Cannes.

I think the best part was the service, the staff was quite helpful and mobile. We had a salad with dried tomatoes, chicken and nuts and a plat du jour, which was beef flank - both above average. The (home-made I hope) french fries accompanying the beef were smoothly sweet, loved 'em. They also have a wide wine range, for te gourmands it might be appealing. It's also situated quite centrally, easy to hop on to lively streets after a filling meal.

Nothing fancy, just good food - well prepared - friendly staff. Had the beef - cooked properly. Good wine suggestions. Watching the staff work so smoothly together with complete focus on customers was noteable.

Grabbed a salade du jour (lettuce, smoked salmon, apples, avocado) and a glass of rose for €20. Service was nice, they had wifi and the salad was pretty good too!
