SLC is sleeping on this gem. Stopped by on a Friday night and it was empty. It’s called Les Banh Mi but both their sandwiches and pho were 10/10. I got the brisket pho because it was chilly. It had a very rich, deep, flavorful, balanced broth and came with a ton of meat. Just the perfect bowl of hot noodle soup on a cold night. I also got the steak banh mi very spicy. I would probably order just spicy next time because it definitely packed a punch by the fourth bite. Regardless, though, it was a very stellar banh mi and I’ve had a lot of banh mi’s in California and Vietnam. The steak was tender and flavorful and the juices blended with the mayo creating this very umami sauce that was balanced by the cucumber and pickled veggies. Would love to try their other banh mi’s next time. Service was quick and friendly as well. Def recommend if you’re downtown.

I really love the banh mi at Les Banh Mi! It is delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Vietnamese flavor. The service is great — the staff are friendly and quick. The shop is clean and well-kept, making it a pleasant place to eat. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

We got a pork Bahn mi and a veggie dumpling soup. Bahn mi was okay, but the dumplings in the soup were totally obliterated, there were no noodles in the soup, there were massive chunks of raw carrot and broccoli, and it looks like what you find in the drain of a sink after washing dishes. As a side they offer 12 oz of pho broth for the Bahn mi, but we received a small container with maybe 4 oz of broth. We also got the Thai tea, which tasted solely of vanilla extract and sugar. The employee making the food looked like she had the worst day of her life, i can only hope that they treat their employees with respect, but I don’t know how much I believe that. Also, a lot of the wall hangings have messaging that reads as very misogynistic, one of which reading “women: no shirt, free drinks“. If you’re looking for classic Vietnamese food, don’t eat here if you can.

I’m new to salt lake and wanted a Vietnamese banh mi the worker Jennifer was really kind and helpful! I got the grilled pork belly and it was delicious! One if not the best sandwich I’ve had.

Cute little place that's kind of tucked away in Salt Lake City! Some friends and I went here on a whim after the train broke down at Library Station, so it's definitely a place that's located in a really convenient spot. The atmosphere is very simple, neat, and kinda whimsy. It was a little later at night so the service was a little ornery but overall they were pretty friendly. We had to ask for several things like the hoisin sauce for the phõ, but it was okay. We ordered the spicy lemongrass chicken banh mí, and some phõ with brisket for a friend who'd never eaten Vietnamese food before. They were both really good, and I will say you should definitely get the banh mí cause it's literally a banh mí place so of course that's their specialty. Cool place!

The bowl in the picture is mine that I transferred to after getting takeout lol. The owner seems to not take criticism very well. I’m adding a picture with the bowl from the restaurant. Got the pho and it just didn’t taste proper. I’ve grown up with authentic pho made by my grandpa and have made pho many times. This was just not it. I was craving pho and this was one of the only places open past 9pm, so that’s a plus, but I would rather not have spent $15 for a bowl of freeze dried meat and beef broth that had its taste changed by the stem of the green onions they put in it for some reason. Broth was more of a yellow rather than the deep brown you get from cooking meat over a long time. I did not try the Banh mi, so I cannot speak on it, but I genuinely hope they try to improve their method for the pho. The Thai tea was also overly sweet.

Omg! What a gem of a restaurant! Came downtown to Oasis and decided we wanted a substantial nosh. Cute vibes inside: some inspirational signs, MANY clocks, and glass bricks We were the only ones there and this place definitely needs more hype. I got the Vermicelli noodles with tofu, which was soooo tasty. The tofu was this amazing texture that soaked up the sauce so well... yum. The server who brought us our food was great. Hustled to get us our drinks and contributed to our lovely experience. Thank you! We'll be back.

Google
If you come here, get the vermicelli - you won't regret it! I also tried one of the sandwiches and it was delicious. Everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and doesn't leave you feeling heavy. This was my first visit and I'm already planning to return. Great food, great experience!

Yelp
I like that I can spend $5 for a decent-priced sandwich. What makes it even better is that it's made from fresh baguettes made in house. An added bonus is that I can get my order with a side of broth, so I can dip my Banh Mi like a French dip.

Yelp
I was looking for a tasty and delicious Pho dinner but I was unfortunately underwhelmed. The broth didn't have a lot of taste the the service took a long time to deliver. You first ordered on a computer and waited to get served, and sat down on the person tables. The tables where small and wooden benches and meant for a quick bite. The theme was French and Vietnamese, but I was able to gather the connection between the two.

Yelp
It's ok. Nothing too great about the bahn mi. Staff was friendly. It was nice and clean. The food was just ok.

Yelp
This banh mi place has good sandwiches; they bake their own baguettes in the restaurant, and there's parking on the left side or in the back of the building. I also tried the mango sticky rice, which was ok.

Yelp
We had a door dash from here yesterday. For a place that has Banh Mi in the name, the Banh mi were bland. No cilantro or herbs, no jalepenos, just bland protein and carrots/daikon radish. I would never order them from here again. The spring rolls were good but not outstanding. The Bun is good but also not outstanding. Get your Vietnamese food somewhere else if you can.

Yelp
A just open ... brand new ... awesome Vietnamese restaurant! They have a easy simple menu and something for everyone! They have Banh Mi sandwiches - Pho - chicken wings and Vietnamese yogurt- egg rolls and one ton soup! I got their #3 Banh Mi - a well marinated pork belly a little sweet and a little salty a perfect blend plus well marinated veggies a perfect sandwich for sure and it comes with a drink! Drinks are self serve. The restaurant is clean and a simple design you can choose to eat inside or tables setup for dining out side! They have a private lot for parking! The people are friendly especially Willie - who helped me decide what to order since everything looked so so good!

Yelp
I tried the rice noodles (Pho) with soup. The meal comes with a snack and a drink, which is very nice. The rice noodles doesn't really taste great but still is good. Can also order a load of small bread which is nice.

Yelp
If you want pho, DO NOT come here. Genuinely disgusting, the worst pho in Utah I've ever had. Flavorless broth, gross "brisket", and they completely skimp out on hoisin sauce which does their disgusting pho zero favors. Do not go here.

Yelp
Came in to Utah from NorCafor my work assignment. Decided to give this place a try because I like to support Vietnamese food establishments. I ordered the number 1, which is the steak bánh mì. The meat was very well marinated! If it had a bit more veggies(pickled radish/pickled carrots/cilantro/cucumber) it would have been A1. The baguette was a bit on the softer side, outer parts croissant like. Ambiance and seating were nice. Not sure if the lack of veggies is a local palette adaptation. Service was good.

Yelp
As someone that grew up in Orange County, my judgement on banh mi is probably pretty snobby and harsh but I know where the bar is for this. I got the honey garlic pork and the flavor was good. Definitely sat in the marinade for a while. My biggest issue was the banh mi itself, it wasn't very warm and bread was a little old. Old banh mi has a harder spongey texture on the inside so it really ruined what it had from a flavor perspective.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were so excited to order from here because we were really craving a Banh Mi! We travel and have tasted some pretty good ones and saw the other reviews so we thought we would give it a try. When we came to pick up our to go order there was no customers in the restaurant and we were in plane view of the girl running the counter. She just stared at us and kept eating her food behind the counter. We stood there for a few minutes waiting for her to help us out (the only customers there.) She finally came up to us and gave us our food, but with an attitude. She seemed upset that we were there and what sucks is why did we give a tip on takeout just to be treated like that?

Yelp
The service was great and the staff were super nice, but the food was significantly overpriced and pretty underwhelming. There are several other options in town for Vietnamese food and bahn mi that are easily twice as good, and half the price.

Tiffani R.

Yelp
This place is a treasure. I loved, loved the flavor of the marinade, the crispy bun, and the excessive amount of carrots and daikon. This sandwich made my top-ten-best sandwiches list. The lady behind the counter was very kind and friendly. The restaurant was clean and pleasant. For the perfect casual date night, get Banh Mi sandwiches and then go get Nutella layered cake slices at Doki Doki next door!

Yelp
The food was incredible, the person who helped me was so gracious and sweet, and I loved how beautiful and cozy the inside of this restaurant is. It is super great and it a must come visit

Yelp
One of the best banh mi I have had in quite some time. The gentleman working behind the counter was very friendly and recommended the pork belly banh mi, so much flavor on a great crumbly roll. My buddy got the Thai time which was also delicious. Don't go here just for the banh mi though, the vegan spring rolls and pork egg rolls were also excellent. We will both definitely be coming back more than once.
