The 21 Best Restaurants in Marseille, France | Eater

"Just steps from the spectacular Napoleon III-vintage Palais Longchamp, this laidback street-corner bistro with a big raw-wood bar has developed a loyal crowd of regulars, who come for chef Noémie Lebocey. Her culinary style showcases and accentuates the natural flavors of produce, especially in the carefully chosen garnishes on dishes, like the ricotta beignets, fennel, and roasted tomatoes that accompany her fish soup. Lebocey’s menu evolves regularly, but consistently surprises with original dishes like an onion tart with whipped cream seasoned with smoked oregano, arugula, and buckwheat, or an apricot tart with smoked rosemary ice cream." - Alexander Lobrano

Always the highlight of our Marseille trip! We love coming here and exploring the new seasonal dishes that are being created with lots of love and thought. It was our second time and again it did not disappoint! Everything is to share which means you can try almost everything! Best to book a table in advance

Excellent food, interesting combinations, quality produce and well made. Great wines suggested by waiter. Nice room and great atmosphere. All staff friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu. Only had 4 dishes, the cheese and a dessert.

Great Atmosphere, Food Needs Finesse This charming local spot has a warm, authentic vibe — the kind of place where people drop by for a glass of wine and end up staying longer. Service is fast and friendly, and the food arrives quickly, which adds to the relaxed flow. Unfortunately, the dishes didn’t quite meet our expectations. The tamara and aubergine caviar felt a bit flat — both dishes were heavy, but lacked contrast. Some acidity or crunch would have lifted them and brought better balance. The bao stole the show with a fantastic kimchi, though again, it lacked a fresh counterpoint to round it out. All in all, a lovely place with great energy, but the food could use a bit more care and balance to truly shine.

We enjoyed wonderful, creative dishes served as part of a French-style tapas meal here last night. Great flavours, textures and ingredient combinations. Super-friendly staff too. We'd certainly eat here again

Wonderful food, attentive service. A nice outdoor area to sit at, probably a good idea to make reservations.

I stop to take a photo of a charmingly « Pagnol » type corner restaurant in one of Marseille’s artist quarters. Curiosity pushed me past it’s door into it’s welcoming interior. Covid 19 prevented me from being able to sit down at a table and enjoying the environment, but why not try taking something home to eat, I thought. I ordered the two diserts that were on the blackboard, and enjoyed watched them being made for me. I was impressed by the thoughtfulness to detail in the presentation. I was extra happy that my food was put into a 100% compostable container. When I finally tasted my purchases I had to write a 5 star review for « Les Eaux de Mars ». The deserts were delicious with delightful taste and texture surprises. I can’t wait to return!
