"Co-founded by Eric Railsback and Master Sommelier Brian McClintic (if the name sounds familiar it’s because his journey to masterdom was documented in the film, SOMM), this Funk Zone wine bar/shop is a must. The cool, wood-trimmed space is split into two: Hardcore oenophiles will go nuts for the hand-picked selection of European and domestic wines on the retail side, while those looking to expand their knowledge will benefit from a wine flight at the tasting bar. A tight offering of small plates is available throughout the week; Fridays and Saturdays, weirdly enough, are reserved for ramen. "

"Busy wine bar Les Marchands will close in Santa Barbara soon. The six-year-old spot owned by Acme Hospitality (The Lark, Lucky Penny, Loquita) is set to turn over into an unnamed new project sometime later this year." - Farley Elliott

Fantastic service. We came for a glass of wine and a dessert. I forgot to make a reservation but the hostess and a waitress were able to accommodate us. They were extremely attentive even though they were really busy. We ordered a glass of Riesling and I had a blast with their peach and ice cream with cookies. Super!! We will for sure be back. The ambience is cozy and intimate. But feels cool to go with a group of friends too. Nice that they are open late.

Phenomenal! Beautiful restaurant with lovely seating al fresco. Great if you’re looking for a European ambiance with cafe chairs and marble tables. Loved the decor, planters and warm and inviting string lights. The hand rolled spaghetti and fried chicken were both delicious. Somewhat pricey but portions are generous and service is excellent.

What a lovely place! We had some of the best wines here, and the charcuterie and cheese plate was most definitely the best we have ever had!

This used to be our favorite brunch spot until one day the menu changed and the tastiest ricotta toast with house-made strawberry jam was gone. I hope it appears again, but I don't find the place as appealing these days.

The atmosphere is intimate and in a rustic old building with a charming outdoor eating area strung with lights. The server was extremely attentive and the food was fantastic. We enjoyed appetizers and wine, then moved on to the main course. The secret item not on the menu is a delicious burger on brioche bread - it was a little rich due to all the butter, but delicious. The chicken received rave reviews as did the mussels. I had the lettuce gems with peaches, which was a fabulous salad.

This place was perfect for a little date night. Live blues was a cool touch and the outdoor patio is very cute. We opted for the charcuterie board and a salad and found that to be extremely filling for two people (almost too filling). Paired with wine, it’s a perfect European meal. Great wine selection too :)

Fantastic service, fantastic food. The fried chicken with honey was crazy good. The lemon tart was incredible. We went back the second day and there was a very unprofessional and rude hostess, but I won’t let that ruin the review because honestly the first night we were there for dinner he staff was incredible and the food was also amazing. Great job, guys! If we lived local we would be regulars!

Have been here many times for many types of meals, ramen, cheese and salami, wine (it's a meal people!) but had never been for brunch. Amazing! The egg sandwich was tasty and on excellent bread. The fried chicken was outstanding though the sausage gravy was unexpected. Maybe I missed I on the menu description. It was good but not the flavor I wanted. I suggest ordering without so the fried flavors really sing. The French toast is amazing though they need to cook it longer. We had leftovers the next day and warmed them in the oven where they had a chance to dry out and the result was even better than the day before! The bloody Mary's are spot on.
