"This family-run business, occupying an old farm with rustic charm and contemporary decorative detail, is firmly steeped in its surroundings and their natural bounty, as well as the history of Ulldecona. This is also demonstrated by its name, which refers to the millstones carved out of the local quarry. Chef Jeroni Castell does everything possible to bring a sustainable approach to his dishes, which are based around the perfect balance that should exist between local provenance, technique and fun, showcasing those products that encapsulate the Terres de l’Ebre region’s coastal and mountain landscapes. Standout dishes here include the “armónica” of grilled Balfegó red tuna with cured egg yolk, and a purée of mashed potato and butter, and El Delta del Ebro, a steamed seafood dish with Ostras del Sol oysters, and a tasting of eel and mackerel. Choose between an array of set menu options (Terra Incognita, El Camino Recorrido, Tradición, Vegetarian), plus an à la carte from which you can also order half-plates (medias raciones). The tasting menus all begin their life in the restaurant’s creative R&D space." - Michelin Inspector
The least expensive Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain
"At this family-run restaurant, self-taught chef Jeroni Castell serves a weekly changing Tradición menu that showcases local, seasonal ingredients and arrives as 3 hors d'œuvres, a cold starter, three mains (one fish, one meat and one rice), and a choice of two desserts, all served as half-portions with homemade bread. The team’s ethos is summed up in their words: 'Cooking is a way of life, a way of seeing and understanding what is all around us... Proximity, pleasure and technique are the cornerstones of the dishes that emerge from our kitchen, and are at the core of our continued development and evolution.' The Tradición menu costs 43.90€ (49.90€ for dinner), excluding drinks, and is available for lunch midweek from Tuesday to Friday, and on Friday and Saturday evenings." - The MICHELIN Guide
Everything was perfect, it was my first time in a Michelin star restaurant and it worths the visit. Food, design, service, atmosphere… and they are really friendly and nice. I would strongly recommend the experience and I’m sure I will be back.

The Ebro Delta has a special place in our hearts and having a Michelin starred (+ green sustainability star) twist on the amazing local ingredients was an amazing experience.

The home made bread was really good! But the service is not at the level of one Michelin star. We ordered a glass of red wine and the sommelier came, her name is Carmen, and talked to us in a very unprofessional way saying they have only have 2 red wines by glass (which is by the way surprising! As if we had to order a bottle!). she explained very quickly the 2 wines and served us the one we selected without giving us the opportunity to taste!!! Not acceptable for this standard of restaurant in addition she didn’t ask afterwards if the wine was ok! Which by the way was not ok. We did not drink the glass and nobody asked why!!

It’s unique experience. Didn’t expected such a great evening, the owners and staff overcame the expectations. The Food Laboratory tour before the dinner was very interesting and helped us to enjoy the degustation menu even more. The wine pairing was superb and the menu positively surprised in all aspects. Big compliments to the owners and the team for all and will come back as soon as possible.

2nd visit to this restaurant and it was just as good if not better than the last time. Fabulous dishes, very beautifully presented. Warm welcoming staff who were very attentive - and not too formal !. Fabulous lunch time dining experience. It will be on our list the next time we visit Vinaros.
