Les Ombres

"On the roof terrace of the Musée Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac, this entirely glass-sided restaurant boasting interior and exterior architecture designed by Jean Nouvel overlooks the nearby Eiffel Tower. The menu, supervised by Alain Ducasse, is skilfully executed by talented chef Alexandre Sempere, a trusted collaborator. The modern seasonal cuisine is made with fine ingredients and smacks of the Mediterranean influences beloved of its mentor. The desserts created by pastry chef Jérémy Schotte, such as the farm-fresh skyr mousse with Buddha's hand and a lemon leaf granita, deserve a special mention." - Michelin Inspector

First of all, the view was amazing. I had a perfect table with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The food was very tasty. Every dish was perfectly balanced in flavor, and the service was also good and friendly. Highly recommended when you’re in Paris.

We were in Paris to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in Paris and our friends recommended to go have dinner at Les Ombres. Everything was just perfect! The restaurant setting, the view of the Eiffel Tower from our table, the ambience, the service and the food was amazing. Most people would just go there for the view, but I have to tell you that the food was even better. The presentation of each plate and the menu, that takes you on a tasting journey that we’ve never experienced before, has to be the highlight of our evening. Every little detail was done to perfection. Thank you Les Ombres for making our anniversary a memorable experience that we’ll never forget.

We dined at Les Ombres recently, drawn by the beautiful Eiffel Tower view—which, to be fair, is truly stunning and a highlight of the experience. As for the food, it was decent but not exceptional. For the price point, I expected more in terms of flavor, creativity, or overall quality. It feels like you’re mostly paying for the view, which might be fine if everything else matched the level of the setting. Unfortunately, what left a bad impression was the lack of honesty in the service. When we received the bill, we were shocked to find three extra items we never ordered—two cocktails and one dish—adding up to €63 (about $72). It wasn’t just a small oversight; three mistaken items felt far from accidental. After we raised the issue, the staff did refund the amount and said it was a mistake, but it still left us feeling uneasy. It’s disappointing and makes you wonder if this happens often with tourists. A place with such a premium location should hold itself to a higher standard of integrity. Overall: Beautiful view, okay food, but be very cautious when reviewing your bill.

What a night, from the moment we arrived Mila who I now have named "boss b...." was amazing, we have a perfect table it felt like 1000 staff looking after us and that is before the unbelievable food was served with the best view in Paris. The wine choices, the cocktails even the butter was perfect. Thank you for an unforgettable night, we will be back when we return. Donna and Andrew Australia

One of the highlights of our visit to Paris. The restaurant has amazing views, rotating chairs so you can appreciate them. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. There is an outside terrace where you have a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. Would love to return. A very memorable experience. Desert was an explosion of flavours and textures. Fried artichoke was superb. Dishes presented beautifully and creatively.

Google
An exceptional lunch with an unforgettable view. We visited Les Ombres for lunch and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower from the terrace is absolutely stunning—there’s truly no better backdrop for a meal in Paris! The lunch menu was elegant and well-curated but very limited in options, which is by design i think. They only had 2 options per course so we ordered one of each and were impressed with each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The portions were just right for a midday meal, leaving us satisfied without feeling too heavy. Service was attentive and professional, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and formality. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it a perfect spot for a special daytime meal

We had visited when I had made a booking for my boyfriend’s birthday, we are both 18 and 19 so I guess we look young. I had booked the bar, the views were amazing and atmosphere was nice but the service for us was abysmal. The cocktails here are around 20-25 euros per drink, a man had taken our order which he then made us pay immediately and took away the menu which we thought was quite rude. I partly thought this may be because we look young but this shouldn’t be an issue anyway as we are paying customers. What made it worse was that we saw a couple next to us who ordered cocktails and did not have to pay until they left. We wanted to order more drinks but had to ask 2 separate staff members for a menu as the first forgot, the bar was also basically empty so being busy wasnt an issue. We had then went to watch the Eiffel tower sparkle and my boyfriend had left more than half of his drink next to my full one and when we got back to our table his drink was gone. We had then let them know somebody had gotten rid of our drinks to which the woman replied ‘somebody took it, the bar is closed we can’t do anything’. We weren’t expecting anything but a sincere apology but were only left with a cold reply which then she walked away. It’s safe to say we won’t ever be returning, which is such a shame because the view was amazing.

Google
The bad reviews made me wary… don’t listen to them. We went our first night in Paris and it greatly exceeded all expectations. The service was incredible and very prompt/attentive, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was magical. Portions are a bit small like any other fancier place but you get plenty of bread with each course. The whole place holds their breath when the tower sparkles. Really really cool vibe and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I absolutely loved every bit of my experience at Les Ombres. The service was impeccable, the view magnificent, and the food delicious. It's true that the real star of the show is the magical and wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. There really isn't a bad seat in the whole place, but I will say I felt like I got the best view in the house. I had the Eiffel Tower right in front of me and got to see it all lit up and sparkle during my dinner. The service was outstanding and did not feel rushed at all. I enjoyed all my food pairing and thought the chef did a great job marrying different flavor combination. My only complaint has nothing to do with my dining experience but when I left the restaurant I have to walk through the garden to catch my Uber and the path was very dark and felt unsafe, especially for someone who was walking alone.

Staci H.

Yelp
Beautiful view, good service, however, the food is meant to be high-end in order to justify the price; it's not. It's a pre-fixed menu and the dishes have visual appeal, but two of my courses were actually inedible - the roasted artichoke was so tough and dry you couldn't chew it let alone swallow it. The fish was overcooked and the texture of rubber. Unbelievably horrible. I think they cater to tourists who go for the view of the Eiffel Tower and they assume we don't know what good food tastes like. It's a shame, the view is nice of the ET, but that is really it.

Yelp
Les Ombres, atop the Musée du quai Branly, offers stunning views of the Eiffel Tower. The menu is prix fixe with either a choice of 5, 6, or 8 courses. The food is good but nothing really stood out except for the chocolate dessert. The service was friendly but seemed rushed (once, they took our unfinished plate without asking if we were done). But the view at the terrace was truly breathtaking!

Yelp
The view was the best part of the dining experience at this restaurant. We came here as part of our group dinner for our mba class, the prefix menu left a lot to be desired. The food was awful - I mean inedible. Definitely not worth to command the prices our group paid. Service would be the only star earned by this restaurant. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Nothing beats the views that this place offers. Our table was located inside at the corner with the direct view of the Eiffel Tower. Our reservation was around 1:30pm right before they closed to prepare for dinner time and honestly was not too busy. The servers are very attentative and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. After reading the other reviews regarding the food, I would have to admit that our meals were delicious. We didn't complain and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris! The outside terrace for pictures is a also a plus!

Yelp
I made the reservation for celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary during Honeymoon trip (postponed twice since 2020 due to Covid) in the end of March 2022. The overall experience was excellent. 1-5 stars ranking on each experience. Staff: 5 stars They were kind and service was great. Environment and "the view" of Eiffel Tower: I would say definitely 100% 5 stars. I made the reservation for 7pm and we could enjoy the amazing views of blue hours and night. We could be so close to Eiffel Tower and the lighting golden covering and sparkles for 5 minutes every hour after 8pm was phenomenal. The rooftop terrace of this restaurant was the best location among all locations to see all this! No joke. We felt so exclusive to be there as guests. Food: 4 stars Prix menu for dinner per person is 110 euros but you have to order 2 so we decided to order few dishes. Entrees starter: Confit duck foie gras, Orange and kumquat: 48 euros Melt-in-the-mouth and not so greasy. We liked it. I forgot the other one's name. Viandes meat: Seared Francillin pork chop, Cabbage and charcuterie sauce: 44 euros It was ok. Pork was a little bit dry. Prepared tenderloin of beef from Normandy, Anna potatoes: 48 euros My husband ordered it and he commented that was also ok taste. Dessert: All about the chocolate: 19 euros The chocolate is made from its factories in Paris so we felt like it was a must try. Taste was good. The restaurant also surprised us by presenting 2 small dessert plates with candles on to congratulate our anniversary. That was so sweet! It's a very romantic restaurant that you would like to take your beloved one to go and enjoy the pleasant dinner and view. The staff was offering to take pictures for us (don't even bother to ask) I couldn't recommend it enough. It is worth the money. You cannot find a place to beat it's location, price and service. Side Note: 1. Please Do make the reservation. 2. The restaurant only operates for lunch and dinner. If you make the reservation for 7pm, just patiently wait outside the first floor. The staff will come down around 6:55pm to unlock the door and guide you to the restaurant. 3. The restaurant address: 27 Quai Branly, 75007 Paris, France (technically the entrance is located next to Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac. Not in the same building. 4. Wear proper attire.

Yelp
Okay, I want people to stop complaining about the food here. You are only here for the view. That's it. There are plenty of restaurants where you can get much better food for 1/3 the price. The food here has elegant presentations, but flavor combinations are weird. No one comes here for the actual food! I am taking 1 star off my review because they seated two noisy children in front of me, blocking my phenomenal view of the Eiffel Tower.
google avatar

Jac K.

Yelp
Great food, drinks and ambiance plus the view of the Eiffel tower, staff are attentive they seem to have their own respective roles, a person so refill your water when its empty, a person to hand you a slice of bread, and a person to replace your utensil.
google avatar

Yelp
The service and view are spectacular. It stops there. The food was average and pretentious. Everything is a set menu here starting at €128 per person with five small courses. The amuse-bouche of fish was good, along with the first course of octopus ragu with brioche. The subsequent courses were forgettable. Beet salad, palate cleanser (buddha's arm/grapefruit sorbet/granita), sea bream, and chocolate mousse. Go here for the Eiffel tower view.

Yelp
I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant. First the hostess what very nice when we arrived. We decided on the 6 course set menu and everything was amazing. I was plenty full by the end. The wine selection was amazing. I don't think you can get a better view of the Eiffel Tower at night with such a tasty dinner. We arrived at 9:15 and stayed until close. We appreciated our server the most he was very nice and offered to take pictures of us outside in front of the Eiffel Tower. If your looking for a romantic dinner date in Paris look no further.

Yelp
Just go! The food is really good, but not amazing (tiny portions) but the service is stellar. Ultimately though, you're going for the view of the Eiffel Tower and the ambiance. We went on our last night in Paris and loved it! I'd say it's a must when visiting. It's very romantic, but would be fine for a group of friends.

Yelp
The view and overall atmosphere is wonderful, the staff is very friendly and service attentive. The food was a mix for me, several dishes came with a jarringly out of place element such as pickled kumquat in both savory and sweet occasions. I'm very open to new flavor combinations but I ended up leaving the odd bits on the plate. I loved the amuse buche and appetizers. The main pasta dish that I ordered would have been quite boring so I'm glad that I paid the extra €€ to have the shaved truffle added.

Jack J.

Yelp
Let's start with the positive but unfortunately it has nothing to do with the restaurant food or staff, the views are amazing and I would recommend going up for drink just for the photos but food is disappointing and the staff are robotic, the place lacks the warm of what host should offer.

Yelp
Great view. Terrible service that matched the terrible food. But great place to go if you like being treated like just another unwanted tourist ....

Yelp
Food Service and ambiance is top notch. I look forward to visiting again next Vacation

Yelp
Read reviews before accepting the complaints. The food is an experience in itself, if you're looking for fine dining this is the place. The host and staff are the perfect example of how a restaurant should be run. And the view... is breathtaking!

Yelp
The food was amazing in Les Ombres. I see negative reviews and I beg to defer. The venue is absolutely stunning. The Eiffel Tower of course is the star of the show but the fact that the balcony is open for photo opportunities is amazing. The service was top tier, the quality you would expect for this not so cheap venue.

Steven C.

Yelp
My wife and I ate here a couple of weeks ago. The food was okay. I feel that too much energy was put into the plating and attempting to make unusual foods taste good instead of making the food taste good. The service was great! The staff provided the correct balance of attention and privacy. The view from the restaurant is very good!
google avatar

Carmen R.

Yelp
The best part of our meal was the view which was spectacular. The worst part of our meal was the food. The meal as a whole had absolutely no flavor. The pigeon and the fish were equally bland. Our expectations were too high for the caliber of the food. It was a sad experience for our first trip to Paris. The servers were I am happy to say the bright spot of the restaurant beside the Eiffel Tower.

Yelp
This is a nice, romantic restaurant with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tour! It is so beautiful, especially at night when it lights up every hour. Menu prices are between 30 euro per main dish to about 150 euro for prix-fixe menus which include several glasses of wine/champagne. TIP: Make a reservation in advance! The earlier you make it, the higher priority you have for a table by the window! My favorite was the truffle ham dish which was very high quality, especially with the amount of actual truffles in the dish. Personally, I did not like the foie gras because it tasted very "cat food" ish to me, even though I've lived here for 6 months before, it's still something I haven't gotten fond of. The steak & veal were fine, but nothing amazing. The biggest selling point for us was the view! They allow you to leave your table to take pictures & the photos are well worth it! Service was fantastic, except that they did not want to take our 500 euro bill for our meal which was almost 400 euro. We ended up waiting an hour for them to get sufficient change for it which would have been ridiculous, but at least we got a lovely view while waiting. However, be aware, like most French restaurants, the service is good, but you won't be out of there in much less than 3 hours so plan accordingly!

Jose P.

Yelp
The view and the services are the reason why we keep coming here. The servers were very attentive and the view is just amazing, the food is ok but we are here for the views and drinks.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that the view of the Eiffel Tower is spectacular. We dined at night and I must tell you it was breathtaking, the restaurant is located on top floor of a building that's relatively close to the Eiffel Tower. The walls and roof are made out of glass, therefore you can see the tower in all her glory at night. Especially, at night when it lights up every hour on the hour. There is a terrace section outside perfect for picture taking. The service is above average and what you would expect from Parisian fine dining. The servers and waiters were professional and knowledgeable of the courses offered and bilingual which was a plus. The food... Ravioles de tourteau, this one might be my fault for ordering or maybe not asking our waiter about our dish but was totally not what I expected. I expected some type of a warm pasta, however the end result was much different. There was pasta, but not what I envisioned. The appetizer came with two flat cube shaped pastas (think of a ravioli square before it's folded) with crab prepared with an array of species a brothel, served on the cool/room temperature side. The crab it self was tasty but I did not enjoy this dish. I did not like the texture of the pasta nor the fact that it was not served warm. It was more of a soup than what I expected. Filet, this I enjoyed! Wasn't the best I had but it was very good. Cooked perfectly on the inside and crusted well on the side and on top. The particular cut was not only cooked perfectly but was very flavorful as well. One thing I also observed was the bread they passed was not warm, it was a bit rough to bite into which is a turn off for me. I would rate the restaurant based on my experience a 3.5 .... the views and service are elite but other than the filet I really didn't like the appetizer or bread experience.

Yelp
After days of research for the perfect place to celebrate an anniversary I'm glad to say I picked the perfect place. It was a bright, sunny day with a great view of Eiffel. I reserved a table for two at 8:30pm. We went with the five course menu. My wife has food allergies and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate her with substitutions. The dinner was superb, and they even made us mocktails that fooled us into thinking we were drinking alcohol. Our waiter, Renan, was gracious and hospitable. I cannot stress the accommodations the staff made because with my wife's allergies it's usually a struggle going out to eat. The portions aren't huge, but after five courses we were full. Then there's the view: fantastic. We were free to wander outside and take our own pictures of Eiffel and the staff at the bar even asked how we liked the mocktails. I appreciate that level of attention. Then Renan insisted he take our picture with Eiffel behind us but only if we stepped behind the barricades to have an unobstructed picture. He was so great that I had to come back upstairs and tip him personally because I had originally forgotten to. Ask for him but he told us he won't be there for long as he's coming to a restaurant in New York City. Thank you for making our first visit to Paris so memorable.

Yelp
Dinner was delicious! Service outstanding! And the view to die for. I can't recommend enough this place. Definitely going back!

Yelp
First night in Paris. We did the tasting menu which I would recommend if this is your first time here. The food tasted great but I will admit it was not the best food we had in Paris, but still very good. Our reservations were for 7pm but for some reason I thought they were at 8. We still were seated immediately with a great view of the Eiffel tower. It was summer here in Paris so it did not get dark until about 11pm. Since we had the tasting menu our dinner was about 3 hours long so just as we were finishing desert the light show started on the tower. They have an outside rooftop patio with couches and chairs and we had a perfect unobstructed view of the tower. This was a great kickoff dinner to our first night in Paris.

Yelp
This is one of the finest restaurants and most congenial staff we have ever experienced. The 4 of us had arrived late into Paris, bags in tow. I emailed them because we were going to be late for our lunch reservation at Noon. No problem, they moved our reservation back an hour. We had no time to drop off our bags at our Airbnb so arrived at the restaurant, improperly dressed (it's a very nice place and we were in our travel clothes) with all kinds of luggage. The staff was incredibly gracious! No dirty looks or frowns but simply showed us a room where our luggage would be safe then sat us down at our table. As everyone else is indicating, the view of the Eiffel Tower and the city of Paris is incredible. Worth going just for that. However, the food was also amazing and, in my opinion, worth the top dollar. We chose the set lunch menu and found it inventive and delicious. Unlike anything we have had. I have a cilantro allergy (extreme) and, when our fish came with a sauce that I noted had cilantro, they immediately created the dish for me without it. No frowns or looks of annoyance. After our meal, our waiter asked if we wanted him to take pictures of us with the Eiffel Tower behind. They just went above and beyond at each step.

Yelp
This place was so great. Went in for lunch on a Thursday - view was gorgeous, service was amazing, and the food was delicious. Would 100% recommend - also got some amazing pics with the Eiffel Tower in the background on the outdoor patio!

Yelp
I might wife and I had an excellent evening here with an amazing view, great dinner, and exceptional service. I recommend this for anyone who would like a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower with an exceptionally delicious meal.

Yelp
Great ambience and food. A little pricy but I fond the experience worth it, especially for the view

Yelp
Below is the breakdown for this review View/Ambience: 5 The view and Ambience was amazing here. It was very romantic and dim lit inside to set a romantic atmosphere and you can get a direct view of the Eiffel Tower and at night the light show of the towers are amazing. You are also able to walk around outside and there are really great spots that aren't marked off so you can get amazing pictures of the Eiffel Tower. If you are looking for a place just for views i would definitely recommend this place! Food Quality: 3 The food is pricey which is expected given the views but it definitely was not worth the expensive price. We got the Filet €48, and the Salmon €36. It looked very nice but it lacked flavor. The salmon was better than the filet but they both just seemed like they were missing flavor. The pear dessert and the lemon tart however were very tasty and very good. Service: 3.5 The waiter was very nice and helpful but the timing in how quick they get to you could have been better. They didn't stop by much to check on us and it took quite a while to get to us on a relatively slower night but maybe he was just busy with a larger table. All in all if you are looking for a place for dinner with amazing views but are willing to sacrifice the food for average food this place will work.

Cole T.

Yelp
Attempted to modify my reservation, however, their phone system would not complete the connection. I waited through their automated menu, the hold music, and finally the call was dropped on their end. As a result, they charged me 160€ despite my attempts to reach them. When I explained via email, they said that the phone system records voicemail. But you can't leave a voicemail if their phone system drops your call. Since emailing, they have stopped responding. How ironic. They tell you to leave a voicemail but their phone system drops calls. They tell you to email, but they stop responding. If you want overpriced food near the Eiffel Tower, there are plenty of options that aren't rip offs.
google avatar

Yumi P.

Yelp
It's a tourist trap. Okay foods with subpar service. You need to book 2-3 months in advance to get a good view.
google avatar

Klara C.

Yelp
What a beautiful ambiance! The weather was perfect so we had a crystal clear view of the Eiffel Tower outside the window. Even if you're not sitting right by the window, you can appreciate the view. We came here for lunch and I had the set lunch menu for 42€. I felt this was good value with high quality food. Started off with a small pastry with goat cheese mousse that, while not warm, was absolutely delicious. I loved my main course of pork with rice and their classic Paris dessert was fluffy and creamy. My one star off is for their service, which wasn't always efficient, and the pacing of the meal. The starter came out very quickly but there was a long gap before we received our main courses. Our waiter was very nice, I just had to flag him down a couple times since there he'd be away for long stretches. After the meal, all the guests would take photos on their large terrace since the Eiffel Tower was such a lovely backdrop. Perfect photo-op!

David M.

Yelp
Although they advertise air conditioning, it was not on when we arrived for our 7:30 pm dinner on June 12. With the glass ceilings, you are basically sitting in a greenhouse, so the heat was really uncomfortable. Our poor waiter was dripping sweat and looked like he might pass out. A 1/2 hour into the meal, with sleeves rolled up and the heat now a running joke at our table, I inquired about air and was told they were working on it. Never heard another word about it (not an explanation, apology, or offer to change our reservation). At about 9 pm with the sun behind some clouds, it became bearable. Meanwhile, the eclectic food choices on the 8 course fixed price menu were hit and miss. Later in the week we went to Guy Savoy and saw what a great Michelin star experience was like in Paris. To be fair, the Eiffel tower views from Les Ombres were great - I recommend dropping in for a drink at the terrace bar, but certainly not dinner.
google avatar

Jo Anne F.

Yelp
After missing our boat cruise down the Seine we happened upon the Les Ombres Restaurant. It was the best meal I have in Paris. The service was impeccable! Tomas saw to our very need and made our meal very special!
google avatar

Yelp
Great location for admiring Eiffel Tower. Can here for Valentine's Day celebration. We were lucky that weather was warm enough that we can actually go outside and snap some pictures with the Eiffel Tower right behind us. Service was great, food was meh~ but to be honest, we weren't really there for the food anyway. It's mostly for the view, lol we had the duck breast, it was good, but nothing special.

Yelp
I am giving this establishment a 5 star review because it was such an amazing experience. I heard about this through the grapevine on Facebook and was told that this restaurant had the BEST view of the Eiffel Tower. Let me tell you, they were not lying. My number one recommendation is to MAKE THE RESERVATION!! I made a reservation for 8pm in June and we were immediately seated. It is definitely pricey, so beware. Although I made the reservation at 8pm with the plans to watch the ET light up and sparkle, my group and I stayed from 8pm and we left at 1230am. The ambiance and concept of the restaurant was explained to us by a gentleman named Philip, I believe was his name. He took extra care of us and at the end of the night gave us his local recommendations and a free round of rosé. The food wasn't as good as the view, but it was still delicious. The veal that I had was delicious This restaurant was one for the books. I would definitely come back here just to experience it all again. From the dinner to the empty deck where my group and I stayed to enjoy the view, it was all so amazing. There are couches, tables, and chairs outside and it seemed like it was a first come first serve type of thing for getting the seats. I cannot get over this place!
google avatar

Philip S.

Yelp
I came here for my friend's birthday lunch and we had a great meal. The restaurant is spacious and the food was great. This restaurant is famous for its incredible view of the Eiffel Tower, and they even let you go on the roof after or during your meal to take a picture with the Eiffel Tower without any tourists near you. I guess not many people take advantage of the space, but we had the whole roof to ourselves after our lunch.
google avatar

Seon K.

Yelp
I didn't expect much because I heard the view was good but the food was not good, but it was better than expected. But the inside of the restaurant was so hot that it was hard. It's very hot in Paris these days, but I'm sitting in front of a glass window that doesn't turn on the air conditioner, and my back is sweating. The food is medium, the service is fairly slow by French standards, and the restaurant needs air conditioning.

Yelp
Went for a late dinner for my fiancé's birthday. I requested the best table possible and We had the best table in the house! Dinner was delicious and so were their drinks. We had the risotto, frog legs, chicken, lemon meringue and chocolate mousse. They even put candles in my fiancé's dessert which was cute. & right before dessert our waiter asked if we wanted a photo with the Eiffel Tower while it lit up and when we said yes he walked with us all the way out to the patio and took multiple photos of us. Couldn't have asked for a better way to end our engagement trip.

Yelp
Go here. Call ahead to make sure you will be seated but definitely make this part of your Paris trip. I was here on vacation with some friends and we happened upon this place on our first night and it was amazing. They initially said we couldn't be seated but the manager came and found a table for us. The service was phenomenal, our waiters explained everything to us and their recommendations were on point. I had the duck & polenta based on their recommendation... GUYS I don't even LIKE duck - but this was outstanding. Perfectly delicate and savory. Everyone loved their food. And the view... insane. You can go out on the deck and watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle. Our waiter even offered to take pictures of us outside. If I could give 10 stars I would. Worth the money worth the wait worth worth worth! Love you guys!

Yelp
The shadows of the Eiffel Tower is an apt description for this top restaurant in Paris, but it is in the shadows of nothing.... Meals have always been phenomenal but the views and sunsets have accompanied the meals to make such memorable experiences that had made this spot a must for every visit to Paris. The meal was the liver pate and then a salad followed by the fish of the day. Each dish was presented so beautifully that it was like eating art.... Event eh butter comes in an art form Service this time was a little 'off' but nevertheless friendly enough...

Yelp
I would normally not recommend restaurants below my 4-star Yelp rating but I would like to make an exception for Les Ombres. While it didn't wow me with its food, the restaurant is situated in a desirable spot offering some of the most spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower. The best time to go is at dinner time. The illuminated tower shimmers and sparkles on the hour after sunset, a magnificent show of beauty and light. This stunning display lasts for several minutes each hour, enough time to grab your phone for a souvenir worthy photo. Great place for romantic dates. Prior reservations can be made on their website.

Yelp
Listen - you are paying for a spectacular view. The waitstaff allows you to wander off, take photos and generally encourages savoring the evening. If you value this - in and of itself - then it's worth the price and average food. Four stars for the experience. Some notes for improving: waitstaff could not discern vegan from vegetarian and there was only one vegan option on the entire menu. They adjusted for us kindly - but with mistakes. Also - the service can be more prompt but this is part of night. What is not part of the night was the elevator not working at nights end and a fun adventure getting led from the building by a kind waiter.

Yelp
Who needs a professional photographer when you are having a sunset dinner at Les Ombres?!?! Every picture is perfection! Besides the spectacular view, the food was phenomenal. I had the salmon and it was a perfect size and rich in flavor. It is a "must" when you visit Paris!

Yelp
Can not recommend this place enough!! The views of the Eiffel Tower and overall aesthetic of this restaurant is perfection. However I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. We came in for the lunch prix- fixe and really enjoyed our meal. On the pricey side but very reasonable considering location. Super friendly staff and great service, our waiter was so sweet and attentive. Also, it's a 5 minute walk from the famous street with the Eiffel Tower in background so definitely make your way there afterwards for those insta worthy photos (and obviously this place is super insta worthy) As touristy as it is, it did not feel cliché. Make a reservation and ask for window seating!

Yelp
Had the most amazing dinner with my family here. The view is spectacular, nothing beats it. We finished every bite off of our plates. There was a discrepancy with the bill however, but i called & went back & it was resolved with no issue! Will come again & again whenever i have the chance to come back to this beautiful city

Yelp
What a view! The Eiffel Tower was right in front of me! We had a reservation for dinner. Some people told me that this restaurant was one of the tourists stops, and I should have gone to a place that had more Parisienne local flavor. Yea, but It's ok, I am an American tourist who is deeply in love with Paris. I had to feel Paris, Paris, and Paris! So, the location, table setting, and the view of the Eiffel Tower, everything was perfect to me to end my very quick visit to Paris. We ordered Artichoke Soup and Wasabi Carpaccio for appetizers along with a glass of white wine called "innocenti" that was very smooth. The presentation was beautiful. I didn't taste wasabi at all although I saw green dots on the fish. But it's not a big of a deal. For the main, we ordered steak and fish dish (I can never remember all the fancy names of dishes). They also brought complimentary potato chips and potato dip. This dip was almost like mushed potato, but much more creamy. The fish was very well cooked and chopped mushrooms were laying underneath of it. While enjoying the meals, the light show of the Eiffel Tower started. Beautiful!! They light up the tower every hour at night, and it's really worth to see. The desserts were good, too. Cheese and slice of baguette and Chocolate Moose. This cheese (supposedly camembert) had the most disgusting smell I've ever experienced. I ignored the cheese and enjoyed my chocolate moose. The wine was excellent and the meal was delicious. The view was beautiful and very memorable. When we were leaving the restaurant, the hostess asked if we wanted to go out to the patio to get a better view of the tower. She spoke to us in English with the French accent with a very pleasant attitude. We of course accepted the offer and went outside. The tower was right in front and very romantic. I'm definitely in love with Paris.

Yelp
We went here for lunch. It is very nice and the food is very good. We had to got the wine pairing menu which seemed to me to have better options. For 98 Euro each we got a 4 course meal and 2 glasses of wine, 1 glass of champagne, and your choice of dessert wine (I got port) and espresso. They did have options of 3 course for 42 or 2 course for 38 but the plate choices seemed nicer (Duck a la Orange instead of pork shoulder) and when you add in the wine it doesn't seem so outrageous. All 4 courses were extremely good as was the paired wine. The view is great and probably mostly what you pay for. Great spot for a date, anniversary, romantic nice meal. Reservations are strongly recommended. One of the cooler things of the place is that we took coffee outside. It was just us on the roof top wandering around taking shots of the Eiffel Tower and Paris skyline. That is probably one nicety of doing lunch there is it isn't crowded.

Yelp
Bad customer service. They make it very difficult to modify reservations and then proceed to charge you when you can not make it. If you are looking to dine here, I suggest you look elsewhere.
