"The name ‘L’ÉTERRE’ is a mashup of two French words: ‘l’éterne’ meaning ‘eternity’, and ‘la terre’ meaning ‘the earth’. It encapsulates the restaurant’s determination never to stop gathering the bounty of the earth and crafting delicious cuisine from it. Japan is a country surrounded by sea, and L’ÉTERRE makes full use of this, focusing on seafood dishes. Vegetables and meat highlight the abundance of their terroirs, grilled sometimes over charcoal or firewood, sometimes over straw. Time-honoured cooking methods are eternal as well." - Michelin Inspector

French cuisine on the counter. Not only are the dishes beautiful to look at, but also blend well with the sauce. Personally, I like fish dishes. The wine was also delicious. We drunk a lot, but the bill came to just over 40,000 yen per person, which was quite satisfying. The flexibility of the OMAKASE is also convenient.

First and foremost the thing that I found the best thing from this restaurant was the young lady’s work ethic, personality and enthusiasm. She was by far the best assistant chef I have ever seen. She was constantly pivoting between working on the food, helping the main chef ensure he had everything he needed and engaging with the customers as much as possible when the sweetest smile. It was my wife’s birthday and having such a sweet person who would constantly make sure we were taken care of meant a lot, even if they may have not known it was my wife’s birthday as I never ended up telling them. I wish i could have told the young lady how amazing she was but she was constantly working hard even when people were starting to leave so I didn’t want to interrupt her flow. I hope to see her grow to even higher heights. The second most important thing, was the food!!!! Everything was so delicious and balanced. It was light on the stomach but the flavors entranced your mouth splendidly. By far the best french restaurant I have been to in my life despite going to three star Michelin restaurants in San Diego, CA USA. Service was impeccable and I have to give the most thanks to the young chef and waiter who working at 1000% the whole time despite being completely full. If they have 1-2 more people assisting customers, I would say they would be the perfect restaurant. You get to see all the hard work first had, as they cook and service everything right in front of you. You get to see the challenges and beauty of having to work as a team to serve all customers in a timely manner with a lean group. This helped me appreciate the food that much more when I finally got to eat it as you could see everyone working their hardest while trying to ensure the fold comes out as perfect as possible. Wine selection was also amazing and paired very well with the food. My only thing I would’ve preferred if the passion fruit desert was less acidic as it threw off the flow of light and flavorful course. I am lucky to know some Japanese and my wife is also Japanese, so were we able to understand everything. It may be challenging for other foreigners who don’t have a good understanding of the Japanese language but I would strongly recommend trying the restaurant!

The restaurant was awesome, the food was delicious. They tried new combinations I didn't expect to fit so well together. The ambient was good, only counter avaliable. The drinks were a bit to expensive in my opinion. There english was good, should be improved, due to less information about what exactly get served. The adapte well to your wishes. I had the feeling that the teamwork can be improved.

I had white asparagus here, and then a week later I also tried it at Les Amis in Singapore. But it's only the white asparagus from here that really stuck with me.

I wish I could give L'Eterre more than 5 stars. This was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. The food was spectacular and five stars without a doubt. For me, the service and atmosphere were what really stood out, especially the service. The staff went so above and beyond. The conversation that we had with the chef was one of my favorite parts. He really made an effort to connect with us, but in a natural way that wasn't forced. I was in Japan for 10 days and this meal stood out as one of the highlights of my trip. I can't say enough kind words about this place.

All their dishes are dedicated and well-served. Two things I really like about it are that they pay attention to details and their choices of tablewares are fantastic. This one is definitely worth a try.

Amazing food! It was a little pricey after having one glass of wine and a cup of coffee. Around 35,000 yen per person but definitely worth it. Personally I think it’s better than some well known fine dining restaurants in Ginza. We had lunch there and we were the only customers. It felt abit odd at first. However the chef is young and friendly, and he tried to communicate with us in English. We enjoyed our time!
