San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"SoMa now has a cha chaan teng in Letssweet Kitchen. The Hong Kong-style cafe has staples like spaghetti with meat sauce, french toast, and noodle soups, plus plenty of milk tea. We checked out Letssweet Kitchen and added it to the Hit List." - julia chen 1, patrick wong

The Best Cha Chaan Tengs In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Letssweet is SoMa’s only cha chaan teng. Expect huge bowls of wonton noodle soup, plates of peanut butter-stuffed french toast, and fast, no-nonsense service. You’ll order with a dry-erase marker and laminated menus, do one lap through your social feed of choice, and your food will be bestowed upon you. Before you settle up, though, ask what pastries they have left—if there are any Portuguese egg tarts, that’s your sign." - patrick wong, julia chen 1

Letssweet is everything you want in a classic cha chaan teng - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Most cha chaan tengs in SF are in the Sunset and Chinatown. Letssweet is the only one in SoMa, and it’s doing a damn good job. It pulls off the classic Hong Kong diner-style dishes listed on their poster-sized laminated menus—the standouts being the generous bowl of wonton noodle soup and peanut butter-filled french toast. And the efficient service makes this a great spot for an in-and-out meal. Mark off what you want on the menus with the provided dry-erase marker, and dishes arrive in a few minutes. Just be sure to ask about their pastries and daily dessert special before asking for the check. If there are any portuguese egg tarts left, consider it fate. Food Rundown Curry Fish Balls A shareable starter that comes 10 to an order. Each ball is satisfyingly springy with just a little bit of snap-back. The sauce could use a bit more heat, but we’d still get this again. photo credit: Patrick Wong HK-Style French Toast Crispy with just a little bit of crunchy skirt on the outside, with a custardy center and a layer of peanut butter running right through the middle. It’s a must-order. The only miss is the pad of cold butter served on the side that needs some residual heat from the bread to soften up. PlayMute video credit: Patrick Wong Wonton Noodle Soup A huge portion. You’ll need to dig around the nest of noodles floating on the top to find the wontons, but it’s well worth the excavation. The wonton wrapper is boiled until they’re slick and the filling is the texture of a never-before-used stress ball. photo credit: Patrick Wong Portuguese Egg Tart There’s a limited supply of these, so be sure to ask about them as soon as you sit down. The tops could use a bit more caramelization, but the filling is smooth and the crust is layered and flaky. We’d swing by just to grab one of these. photo credit: Patrick Wong Iced Lemon Tea A tad too sweet, but still something that’s required to wash everything down with." - Patrick Wong

Google
So glad to know that our favorite Hong Kong style noodle place is back at the same location as the late Beyond Cafe with apparently the same chef but new owners and an expanded menu! Their wonton noodle soup (exquisitely complex broth with taste of dried scallops, springy noodles, and perfect wontons with juicy ground pork and plump shrimp) and spicy beef brisket noodle soup (tender chunks of gelatinous beef in a nicely balanced spicy beef broth and springy noodles) are so good it will be difficult to try other delicious looking offerings on the new menu!

Google
recommended by a fellow HKger, let's see if it taste like home: nice cozy cafe👍🏻 across from Porsche 😄 friendly boss, cook and staff👍🏻 curry brisket w/rice hk style: taste like home!!(hk) very tasty, good spice. "heard from them some people saying curry is a bit to spicy, I told them to please don't water down the taste of home just to comform to the American palette, i go because it's true taste, and there are so many other places that we don't go to because of it. I mean you never hear an authentic Italy, French, thai, Indian, etc would water down their recipe to confirm to a few. so please don't do it!🙏🏻" curry fish ball hk style: pretty good, could be bouncier tho😋 riceroll hk style: as good as it gets😋 milk tea hk style: could be smoother, richer tea👍🏻 overall: reminds me of home(true HK taste) since they just opened on the 20th, some must have items: yinyan, redbean drink, fake sharkfin soup are not available yet. but definitely a return customer round 2: great service as always comfortable setting, fish ball:as good as last time rice roll:as good as last time wuntung noodle:super great wuntung:better than Hon's noodle:nice texture's great, nice and bouncy Szechuan spicy brisket: great taste red bean iced: pretty good, need a bit more time on beans lemon tea iced: pretty good French toast:not bad verdit: NEW REGULAR SPOT!!!!

Google
HK style milk tea - They used a particular blend which has less black tea blend and more floral/green aroma. Nonetheless, good tea. 4/5. Portuguese egg tart - the egg custard was good. Not too sweet and definitely buttery but the bottom crust was soft/soggy. 敗筆. It's not bad, but the crust needs to improve. Wonton noodle - I came here for that and didn't disappoint. I recently went to 麥奀記 in Vancouver. I'll say the wonton still better at 麥奀記, but Letssweet noodle beats them. As usual, I always eat the noodle first before it get soggy. And it didn't. Normally, it get soggy after 5 minutes. I was pleased the texture remain 彈牙. The wonton would benefit with a better brands of 大地魚粉and more 麻油 to marinate. But all in all, it's satisfying. Cart noodle - The soup is good. I would prefer more 腩汁. Fish cake is great. Beef ball was excellent. Great taste, great texture. Honestly, I missed beyond's 炸墨魚餅. They could consider adding 墨魚丸. There is a brand out there that's pretty good quality. The thick noodle also have good texture.

I am happy that there's a new Hong Kong Style Cafe (Cha Chan Tang) in the city. The food taste like authentic HK style food. The fish siumai is something hard to get in the US. I appreciate they have that available on the menu. Milk tea is good, just need to make the tea taste stronger to make it perfect. Hope they keep up the good work.

Google
This lemongrass pork jowl rice was so good! The pork jowl is crispy on the edges, juicy inside. Paired with the sweet chili sauce, it is a must-try! Also, I can’t get enough of HK-style rice rolls—so soft, silky, and perfect with that sweet soy sauce!

Google
The food was amazing! I ordered the signature dou meat rice. The meat was tender and juicy, and the rice was generous. I also ordered a stuffed youtiao that comes with shrimps inside, which were also quite delicious. Services are very friendly. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Google
I got the curry beef brisket rice, which tasted identical to what I remembered back in HK. It is flavorful and packs some heat. Would love to come back to try the wonton noodles and pork jowl rice next time!

Google
Food so yummy. Won ton noodle soup was the bomb. Also got today’s special which was fried pork chop with Chinese spicy curry and salad ❤️

Yelp
Been dying to come back ever since their grand opening and i must say that I was not disappointed. Great service from all workers over there! Even the chef came out to say hi and thank you to the other customers that were eating inside. The food was really good, as always. and i definitely left full and satisfied. It's really sweet knowing that you are eating in a family owned and operated business, and you can see and feel the attention that they put into the details of your experience. If i could give it a higher rating than 5 stars, best believe I would!

Yelp
I love hk cafes! It's hard to find good ones in the bay. We ordered: 1. Braised beef brisket noodle ($15.50) while the soup and noodles were great, the brisket was a little chewy. Overall, it was still good though. 2. Hk meat sauce spaghetti that comes with your choice of drink ($16.99) your typical hk style spaghetti! 3. Hk style rice roll ($8.50) the rice rolls were soft and the sauce was 4. Hk milk tea ($4.50) you can't go wrong with a hk style milk tea. They ask how sweet you want the drink. Parking: Metered parking Overall, still a decent spot and we'd probably come back to try other items.

Yelp
Located in soma, LetsSweet is a cozy Cantonese spot that's great for a casual dine. I came here for dinner with a friend and we were seated in about 8 minutes since it was quite packed. Their menu consists of all the classics like wonton noodle soup, pork chop rice, & more. Plus you can choose your noodle type (flat, round, thin, or thick), which is a great customization. We ordered: * Wonton Noodle Soup : Noodles had great texture and the wontons were soft & tasty. The broth, however, was a little on the lighter side and lacked flavor. * Satay Beef Noodle Soup : This one was really good. The broth was & and flavorful, with tender, juicy beef. I chose flat noodles and they paired perfectly with the soup. Overall, it's a solid spot if you're craving comforting Cantonese dishes in the area. Parking can be tricky, but I just left my car at Trader Joe's and walked over.

Yelp
I'm happy this address houses a business that aligns comfortably with the urban vibe of western SoMa. You may recall this space was previously the memorable SO, a spicy Korean spot with kickass chicken wings. More recently, it was Beyond Cafe, a Hong Kong-style noodle house specializing in braised beef noodles and soups. The Hong Kong connection is still here, but the menu broadened. There are still noodle options but also snacks, small plates, and American-originated dishes you'd expect to find in an old-school coffee shop in Hong Kong like spaghetti and pork chops. I think the locals would likely be more drawn to a diverse selection like this. Jamie W and I sure were when we walked over to have dinner here. We split three dishes each providing satisfaction to our undemanding palates. First up was the $8.50 HK Style Rice Roll, a chewy glutinous delight covered in a sweet sesame sauce (Photo 7). Then our entree arrived, the $16 Sichuan Chilled Chicken Rice, chopped pieces of skin-on poached chicken mixed in a spicy Sichuan sesame chili sauce (Photo 9). It was Hainan chicken with a kick. We ended with the $9.50 Sizzling Green Beans, a veggie side with an attitude (Photo 10). Tasty stuff. FOOD - 4 stars...true HK-style dishes like you'd find in Kowloon AMBIANCE - 4 stars...pretty much the same spacious room it was before SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty attentive TOTAL - 4 stars...hope this one sticks around for a while RELATED - Exploring western SoMa? Yelp
LetsSweet Kitchen is definitely a hidden gem and it's nice that there are always an abundance of seats available. The waitresses here are always so friendly and quick to get in orders and pump dishes out. Pork jowl rice plate (5/5)- the sauce is umami and the pork jowl is extremely tender. A must get dish here! Shrimp youtiao (4.7/5) the youtiao is not overly oily and the shrimp paste in the center was delightful. The only thing I did not really care for was the sauce on the side. Shrimp wonton (4.6/5) the pork and shrimp are fresh and I love how every wonton has a piece of shrimp in it. Katsu curry (3.8/5) the curry itself is packed with flavors and is the highlight of the dish. The katsu is not the best but also not the worst I've had. I wish there was more curry. HK milk tea (5/5) delicious and not too sweet Overall great spot for HK style dishes!

Yelp
I came with a friend for dinner as I was craving homestyle Cantonese food and have been wanting to check out this Hong Kong diner in the neighborhood. I got the beef brisket plate which came with cabbage and white rice. While the portion was good, the flavor was a bit flat and bland. A sprinkle of white pepper helped but it felt like the sauce was missing something. The ice lemon ribena tea with blackcurrant was great and a nice tart refreshing drink. I'll have to try something else when I'm back next time but it's nice to have this family-run spot in SoMA.

Yelp
They updated their menu and improved all of their dishes. We were a large party so we were able to try a number of new items. I thought the roast duck noodle soup (I ordered lai fun) would be just average since this isn't a bbq shop. But, to my surprise, it was amazing. True succulent Cantonese roast duck - better than any other place in San Francisco. Other members of my party got the cart noodles with pork knuckles, pork chop over rice (curry was out of this world), spicy Szechuan noodles. The only leftovers were from the kids, who ordered the spam and cheese mac off the new kids menu ($10) but filled up on everything else on the table. Finally got to try the drinks this time: Iced red bean drink - perfect with whole pieces of red bean and not too sweet. The milk tea was also great. This place was packed at dinner time on Labor Day, and parking isn't easy in this area. When the food is delicious, HKers will move mountains to get there.

Yelp
Found this spot because it had a ton of good reviews. The spot had a few tables for parties of 2-4. The staff was friendly. Ordered the satay beef noodle soup with flat noodles. The noodles were overly cooked and the beef was too chewy and had a weird texture. The broth was alright. I did like the light peanut flavor it had. I had high expectations for this place, but it was just okay. I felt sick mid meal and didn't have the appetite to finish.

Yelp
Mom and I were around this area and saw this small restaurant that had a "soft opening" sign. We said, Let's try it. We ordered the French toast, pig feet, truffle siu mai, wonton noodle, beef brisket noodle, and milk tea. Overall, the wonton with thin noodles is the best. We love the combination of pork and whole shrimp with a thin layer wrap plus the al dente texture of the thin noodles. The beef brisket with thin noodles is pretty good too. The French toast has a lot of peanut butter in it and is perfectly fried. The truffle siu mai for me was okay. I can taste the truffle, but other than that I feel like I am eating a chewy dough with crispy skin. lol!!! The pig feet are so flavorless. I don't like the way they cook it. The milk tea is not silky, and the tea flavor is not strong enough. Customer service is great. :)

Yelp
Friendly staff Food- Menu has small bites (French toast, curry fish ball, rice roll, etc) and then regular menu. Peanut rice rolls were tasty and soft texture. Tom yum noodles had good flavor, came with shrimp pieces. Curry beef brisket had a spicy kick to it and comes with rice you can drizzle your curry sauce over Casual Street parking Dinner Crowd at the time I went was mainly customers in the 20's age range, likely due to location

Yelp
Hot child in the city... As our adventures continued, it was definitely time for a bite to eat. This is a must try location! Let's sweet is brand new to the neighborhood, and has been opened for about six weeks and they're rolling into their soft opening, with the grand opening coming in August 2025. This is Hong Kong style at its finest. They have an amazing menu with lots of offerings, but whatever you do, the Hong Kong noodles are a must. The service is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and sweet. As we were seated, they brought us a nice warm glass of tea. IYKYK. If you don't, it's customary to enjoy a warm tea prior to a meal, as it is said to stimulate the appetite and make it more enjoyable. Did I mention that the serving is absolutely huge and absolutely delicious?!? The noodles and wonton wrappers are imported from Hong Kong, so that should tell you everything that you need to know. Seriously, the best noodles that you will have in the area! The noodles are springy, tasty, and light! The Hong Kong style noodles have a variety of ordering options, and we pretty much had the bowl that had everything in it. The proteins were all perfectly prepared and seasoned. Everything about this bowl screamed love, and comfort food. It's shareable, but you will want your own and should have your own! Yes, there's a possibility that you may not finish it, but what amazing leftovers. The restaurant fills up fast, and this is definitely a place to go with friends, family, and just everyone!

Yelp
The food was very authentic and tasty. Growing up in Hong Kong, we definitely know what it means by Hong Kong local food :) keep it up and we'll definitely come back if we're in the area! Oh, and the 車仔麵 super cart noodles is good! I forgot to take a picture of it because we couldn't wait to try ;) The drinks were all great too we ordered the milk tea, lemon tea, ribena, iced red bean drink!

Yelp
LetsSweet opened up recently after Beyond Cafe closed. They redid the interior with new decor, and it's a lot cuter than before! The cafe offers HK style food, and has a variety of noodle and rice dishes, and even some dessert! The servers were very nice and accommodating, and I believe they all speak Cantonese. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't serve cart noodles where you can choose the ingredients, but I got their version of it and it was very well done! The noodles are cooked perfectly, and everything was nice and flavorful.

Yelp
We aren't normally in this part of town, unless we're shopping at Costco on 10th, but decided to trek over just to give this place a try. We've been looking for a good HK noodle soup spot and I think we've found it! Even though this area doesn't have a lot of restaurants or shopping, it was quite busy on a Monday afternoon. It's a Hong Kong style cafe with a decent amount of seating. While looking at the menu, a few things caught my eye. ***OUR PICKS*** BRAISED BEEF BRISKET ~ This came with a noodle option. I chose flat egg noodles. To my surprise, the noodles were done perfectly! Finally, a restaurant that knows how to blanch their noodles to prevent overcooking after it goes into the hot soup. Brisket was good, but I wish they had some tendon in it as well. 4.5/5 CURRY BRAISED BEEF THIN EGG NOODLES ~ My bf wanted braised beef as well, but didn't want to get the same thing, so he opted for curry. He enjoyed the texture of his egg noodles too! Strangely, the yellow curry sauce made his noodles turn pinkish red. I'm not sure if there was chili oil in the curry, but it somehow made his noodles change colors. It's a bit odd, but it didn't taste weird. Still, it was a good meal. 4/5 PORTUGUESE EGG TARTS ~ Ahh, flakey crust with so many buttery layers! Though I'm partial to regular egg tarts, these were very good. The custard is a bit more dense, so it's not as smooth, but that's how it's supposed to be. 5/5 STRAWBERRY PANNA COTTA ~ A lightly sweetened dessert with strawberry compote. It's like a soft vanilla-flavored jello, if you've never had panna cotta before. I liked this one a lot! 5/5 We'll definitely be back to try other things, especially if we're going to do a shopping run at Costco!

Yelp
Excited to see a new HK style cafe in SF! The curry combo was a good starter to share and had good flavor that reminded me of HK. Service and food came out real quick. My friend got the spaghetti but wish the portion was a little larger. I enjoyed the beef satay noodle. Look forward to trying the other items! Came near closing time and unfortunately the egg tarts were sold out. Come early to try!

Yelp
LetsSweet Kitchen is located where Beyond Cafe used to be. I'm so happy that they kept the wonton noodle soup from Beyond (see what I did there?) and expanding their menu to be more like a HK Chai Chaan Teng with yummy drinks, rice plates, desserts. Soft opening currently and the staff/owners are definitely taking feedbacks on their food which is great. So excited for all the new items coming so we can come back again to try. Ambiance is casual and HK comfort food. Located on Bryant and 8th Street.

Yelp
I use too travel back to Hong Kong yearly .. ever sense I had my kid I travel less ... this place brings me back .. to me this is the only Hong Kong authentic diner in SF , staff and cook all from HK!!! Great services staff always with a smile I came here weekly with my kids ~ Parking is great too ~ always parking across the street

Yelp
Saw this New Hong Kong Style cafe on IG and bc I was in HK this time last year, I wanted to try it out to bring me back. I was welcomed with a choice of water or hot tea and chose hot tea which I believe was oolong, correct me if I'm wrong. The tea was good, same quality as they would serve in HK or Chinese restaurants lol. I also ordered an iced Hong Kong milk tea, which I asked what kind of milk and she said they used evaporated milk. Not sure how I felt about it, was just very milky, maybe needed more tea and sugar? But it didn't give me the "omg wow" factor like I had trying it in HK. I ordered the wonton noodle soup, I came alone so I didn't order too much since I wouldn't be able to finish it. Very tasty soup!! The egg noodles were perfectly bouncy, soft and tender to the bite, and had that soft crunch! Wontons had pork (I think) and shrimp, and it tasted just like wontons in HK. It's located on a super busy Bryant street, before the I80 exit to the bridge and across the street from Porsche. I was lucky to get parking right in front, but I drive by here often so could be fairly ok to find street parking. But good luck if there's a lot of traffic. Definitely want to come back to try other things & give it a proper rating but for now I thought it's worth a try esp if you like Hong Kong style foods!

Yelp
Mother's Day. The gift of collagen because lawd knows all the wrinkles we've caused the moms out there. While we celebrated on Friday, I thought I bring a collagen rich takeout meal the day of. And, LetsSweet Kitchen nailed it. Soft opening last week, LetsSweet Kitchen took over Beyond Cafe (same chef, new owners). For the OGs, they took over SO (San Tung's sister). LetsSweet Kitchen is a Cha Chaan Teng, an HK Style Cafe. Currently open for takeout and indoor dining. Delivery to come. M E N U Soft opening: Same menu as Beyond Cafe - Braised Apps, Cart Noodles (BYO noodle bowl), Dry Noodles, and Noodle Soups. After the soft opening phase, they'll roll out new items like HK Baked Noodle and Rice Dishes, along with a line of desserts. CC's and Apple Pay accepted. F O O D * "Dry" Braised Egg Noodles w/ beef brisket, tendon ($17) x2 orders: https://tinyurl.com/yukmm353 - Soup on the side, add 4 pc wonton (+$5) * BYO Cart Noodles - "Dry" Braised Egg Noodles w/ brisket, tendon, pork trotters, gai lan, soup on the side ($16): https://tinyurl.com/hnjtwewf - Choose 4 items + choice of noodles - Choose style: málà (spicy), braised/dry, clear broth I'm happy to report that the food is the same! I've only stuck with their Dry/Braised Noodle dishes at Beyond and their new reincarnation. - Broth: Clear chicken and pork based broth with dried flounder for a seafoody umami. - Thin Egg Noodles: Perfectly springy and al-dente that nicely soaks up the savory soy-based braising liquid. - Braised Beef Brisket + Tendons: Meaty chunks of rough flank, slowly braised until deliciously tender with meltingly soft, collagen-rich tendons. So good. - Braised Pork Trotter: Full of collagen, soft-chewy gelatinous goodness. - HK Style Wontons: Unlike Canto style, HK Style wontons have a higher shrimp to pork ratio. A whole shrimp with a snappy texture with savory ground pork. - Gai Lan: And for health, their Chinese broccoli has a nice crisp. S E R V I C E The new owner(s) are super kind. They offered hot tea or water while I waited for my takeout (10 minutes). I saw they had Po Tat (Portuguese Egg Tarts) on Yelp but it wasn't available yesterday. As an apology, the manager (?) graciously provided a slice of tiramisu on the house. A M B I A N C E Low-key with about 10 tables. P A R K I N G Easy street parking for the city. Overall, solid HK comfort food. LetsSweet Kitchen is off the beaten path with little foot traffic but for those who don't live near Chinatown, The Richmond, or The Sets, AND don't want to deal with the chaotic parking situation, LetsSweet Kitchen is a win. Looking forward to returning for their HK Baked Pork Chop Rice!

Yelp
Great food and great service. This place really serves authentic Hong Kong style food. It's a family owned business and great variety of food with authentic Hong Kong taste. Wonton noodle is awesome. Compared to some famous wonton places in SF Chinatown, LetsSweet has more a Hong Kong flavor to it. The noodle is great and I just like how they have red vinegar at each table because red vinegar is a must for a lots of Canton people when having Hong Kong style wonton noodle. Omg the satay beef instant noodle is great as well, reminds me of what I had in Hong Kong. We also love the French toast and they put a lot of peanut butter inside. Love it when pairing with maple syrup (we requested for some condensed milk on the side for dipping because it's also great with condensed milk!!) Don't forget to grab their panna cotta before you go. Silky milk pudding texture with homemade strawberry jam! I wish they could have put some fresh strawberry slides to make the dessert for some freshness! But the panna cotta itself is great. Definitely recommend to whoever wants authentic hong Kong style food and street snacks. The place is clean and decorated with many Hong Kong style decorations including Black & White mugs, and a large mirror with Hong Kong illustrations drawn by different customers. Feels like a warm and welcoming space for everyone. I wanna try their Hong Kong milk tea and lemon tea next time. Super look forward for their future menu hopefully with some more variety like baked pork chop style dishes.

Came here for their wanton noodles! You can choose to customize your dish, choose your proteins and noodle style. I opted for the thin egg noodles wanting a classic bowl but next time I want to try the wide rice noodles. The broth was flavorful but fell a little short of being full bodied. However after adding some chili oil and vinegar the flavor rounded out. The wantons themselves are packed with shrimp and I assume pork. They're juicy, bouncy and have good flavor. A standout dish was the tripe and chitterlings. Braised in soup and tender to perfection. Of course the pig trotters are always a hit, bouncy full of collegian and fun to eat! The team was helpful and even gave our table fries as service! Excited to come back for another bowl of good soup.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Ordered a noodle soup and some appetizers and it was a lot of food. Definitely recommend the curry fishball which is a hk st food must have. The restaurant is also really clean and nice. A lots of popmart decor. There's plenty of meter parking outside. The service was great everyone is super friendly.

Yelp
Soft openings usually means certain items are still being ironed out. I see the potential for LetsSweet Kitchen to be a nice addition to the SF HK Cafe scene, we need more HK Cafes! The food was decent, not mind blowing, but good and honest. They did a remodel of the space which brightened things up. I would come back again to try other items.

Yelp
walked in for a weekday dinner and got an assortment to share. liked the curry fish balls, curry brisket, brisket noodle soup. noodles in the wonton noodle soup aren't snappy enough. rice rolls are standard. service was nice which bumps this up to 5.

Yelp
Finally found a cozy little Hong Kong café that nails both authenticity and service! We were warmly greeted and the waitress was super attentive, she even checked in to ask how we were enjoying our meal, which you don't always get these days. We ordered the Lemongrass Pork Jowl Rice and a cup of Hong Kong-style Milk Tea. The milk tea was smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced, not too sweet, just the way it should be. It's made the traditional way, which takes a bit longer, but the quality and taste are totally worth the wait. The pork jowl was a standout, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Dip it in the sauce and it's chef's kiss level good. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!

Yelp
Not sure what I missed from other reviews but what I had was average at best. Literally flavorless overly large (not in a good way) first joint crispy wings. Golden and crunchy they were. Just bland af. Pork jowl + chicken combo w a super sweet thick teriyaki style sauce and sticky rice...ate the rice, scoop of corn and 2 micro broccoli tops. Appreciate that they're open and rooting big time for them. Just not my style.

Yelp
To me this is Bay Area number one wonton ! Wonton I hold a high regard ~ this is the only time I ever found my childhood taste from Hong Kong . I highly recommend their milk tea , curry brisket and tom yum prawn spaghetti many others ~ Staff always smiles ~ They are a small family own business can be short handed from time to time but is ok ~ just glad I can have a taste of my hometown here in the bay Parking is pretty relax , kids friendly , dining here is pretty chill not like other restaurants where after u ate they want you out !

Yelp
5/5 stars!! I am so glad they took over Beyond Cafe! Much cleaner and food is definitely better! I love their new menu and all their food that I have tried has taste amazing. My favorite is still the hk wonton noodles. The flavors of their food has been amazing and I have been a repeating customers!! Love the owner and waitresses, they are super nice and friendly! Always feels welcoming to come here for lunch. Their HK music is on point too, very similar to my own playlist. We have been back a few times already and have recommended to friends and co workers.

Yelp
Ordered the Szechuan beef brisket noodle soup and the satay beef noodle soup. Very hearty portion sizes and strong flavor. Quite spicy for the Szechuan soup which I appreciate and very strong flavor in the satay soup which was so so good. I do wish there were veggies in the soup if I were to give any feedback!

Yelp
So glad to know that our favorite Hong Kong style noodle place is back at the same location as the late Beyond Cafe with apparently the same chef but new owners and an expanded menu! Their wonton noodle soup (exquisitely complex broth with taste of dried scallops, springy noodles, and perfect wontons with juicy ground pork and plump shrimp) and spicy beef brisket noodle soup (tender chunks of gelatinous beef in a nicely balanced spicy beef broth and springy noodles) are so good it will be difficult to try other delicious looking offerings on the new menu!

Yelp
New owner. I was attracted by the reviews. It turned out i came here long ago for their wonton. This time menu was very small. I was given a laminated paper and you choose 4 items for your soup. The new owners will not offer this noodle selection soon. In Chinese literal translation: car noodles. I picked lettuce, fish balls, calamari, and flat egg noodles. It was ok. I wasn't overstuffed which was good. Service was nice. My friend was not impressed by the food. Their soup had lettuce, intestines, knuckles, and flat rice noodles and she had HK tea. Lunch time: we were the only ones in there. There is another one page menu offered but we weren't interested. This chinese restaurant is the only Hong Kong food offered around. It's close by from Trader Joe's and Container Store.

Yelp
My fiance and I were looking for a casual spot for dinner and found it on Yelp! This place took over Beyond Cafe. Service is super friendly and then playlist reminds me of 2005's boba tea house HK xD *lemongrass pork jowl rice: super yummy! Pork jowl had the pleasent snap to it and had a hint of lemongrass served with sweet chilli sauce. 5/5 would order again *super cart noodles: braised broth + thin egg noodles really hit the spot! Added the tea egg and wontons to it and everything was very homey tasting. Bonus bc it's a huge portion! Fiance couldnt finish it haha. 5/5 would order again Hope more people can learn about this fantastic hidden gem!

Yelp
A perfect spot to have authentic Hong Kong food in San Francisco. They just open since May 20, 2025. Foods are amazingly decisious. Worth the wait a bit for table. Curry fish balls is a must try item. Braised Pork Hock is also another high-lighted item. Yummy! This resturant food quality are much better than many so-called "Hong Kong style" resturants in Southern California. Support our Hong Konger business ! 香港加油 Follow their IG: LetsSweet3

Yelp
Really delicious and authentic HK food! The service is friendly and the space clean. We really enjoyed the cart noodles and the creamy tom yum prawn spaghetti, along with the rice noodle snack. Can't wait to come back to try the Portuguese egg tarts...so many folks ordered them!

Yelp
New HK-style restaurant/cafe in SOMA that has a really authentic Hong Kong vibe with all the classics - brisket noodles, curry brisket, and curry fish balls. I would highly recommend the curry brisket; the beef was perfectly cooked and the curry had a slight kick / spice. Overall, solid spot!

Yelp
Came on a Saturday evening. Found parking on the same street, half a block away. Kid friendly! They have kid bowls, cups and utensils. We ordered lemon grass pork jowl rice plate, spaghetti with meat sauce and cart noodle. All was very good! My daughters loved their meal. Friendly and quick service!

Yelp
Dropped by Let'sSweet and had the HK milk tea and wonton soup -- both were solid and satisfying. The menu is still mostly the same as Beyond, the previous restaurant, but they mentioned a new menu is coming in about two weeks, which I'm excited to see. They've already added a few new items like egg tarts (which were sold out during our visit), so I'd recommend calling ahead if you're hoping to get some. We also noticed HK-style French toast being offered off-menu. The food is still good, but the place has lost a bit of the charm that Beyond had. Still, I'm hopeful the upcoming changes will give Let'sSweet a fresh identity. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Yelp
Coming from HK, I'm always looking for a super traditional delish hk food place! So glad I found this place! The drinks are delish, esp the hk milk tea and iced lemon tea. My favorite peanut and sweet sauce rice noodle is excellent super fresh and reminds me of my childhood. The pork jowl rice and wonton is excellent and the curry fish ball combo is delicious as well. Will come back for sure ! Check it out !

Yelp
Soy milk, gnarly. Truffle sui mai, gnarly. HK style spaghetti, gnarly. Stopped by LetsSweet Kitchen and ordered the HK-style meat spaghetti, sui mai, and a cold soy milk. The spaghetti was super flavorful and nostalgic, total comfort food vibes. The soy milk was smooth and refreshing. Service was fast and really friendly. Everyone was welcoming and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a great place to satisfy those classic Hong Kong café cravings. Will be back for sure!
