Levant Mediterranean BBQ has quickly become one of my top go-to spots, and it absolutely deserves a full five stars. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels warm, inviting, and full of positive energy. The décor is modern yet comfortable, and the overall vibe makes you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal. It’s the kind of place that works for a casual dinner, a family gathering, or even just a quick bite when you’re craving something flavorful. The food here is truly on another level. Their brisket is honestly some of the best I’ve ever had—tender, juicy, perfectly smoked, and full of rich flavor in every bite. You can tell they put real care and passion into preparing their dishes. Everything I’ve tried has been fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. From the sides to the main dishes, every plate shows attention to detail and high-quality ingredients. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help or make recommendations. They make you feel welcome from the second you walk in until the moment you leave. Overall, Levant Mediterranean BBQ is a must-visit restaurant. Great food, great people, and a great atmosphere—highly recommended!

Both the lean and fatty brisket were perfectly juicy and tender. Every single one of the sides was great with a slight twist on your traditional bbq side. The complimentary ice cream was very good as well. The staff were all welcoming and very nice. Janna specifically was an absolute sweetheart. 5/5 definitely try this place

HALAL BRISKET👌 I wanted to taste original Texas Brisket made with halal meat. This place was good choice. I think, here is delicious and original. Mediterranean sides were fresh and delicisious. Brisket was very smoked and soft. I loved it, but I think just little dry. Atmosphere of inside is friendly and casual. It is not formal restaurant, it is very relax. I went there wearing shorts, it is normal for there. Before go there, I thought about maybe there was dress code but no dress code needed. I paid about 38$ in total. 4 slices of brisket, 2 sides and a lemonade. This was enough for one person.

Place is within plaza, easy to reach and park. They mainly serve brisket. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Service was fast. We’re helped with menu options by cashier lady. Brisket is so well cooked. Side orders are plenty and delicious. Good variety of beverages with free refills. Prices are reasonable.

1st timer & it was a very good experience from the moment I walked in. Staff was very friendly & welcoming 🙏 😊. I mainlywent in for a regular baked potato 🥔, being that I am a vegetarian, however I certainly enjoy a good baked 🥔. Plenty of vegetarian side options to fest on. I did carry out potato salad & their cowboy caviar for later. The establishment was super clean & plenty of seating available, even for bigger groups. They offer a cold bar with pickles, onions, sauces..etc. Also they have free ice cream!!

This is the first time we came since recently opened. We chose the meal 2 option which includes all types of meat. My family like it and gave them 7/10. I also love it. Great food. However, when I ordered, workers weren't have smile face. What I felt that I am not valued customer when ordering. They were which one?, what else?, here it is!! Hope, they can be more nicer especially first time customers who doesn't have any single idea how and what to order!!! But, thanks and great place to have a Halal BBQ place to eat with family.

This place popped up on a social media feed and we were intrigued. We had one 2-meat plate; brisket (moist) and house sausage with potato salad and creamed corn, and a loaded brisket baked potato (hold the jalepeno). Brisket was very good. Sausage tasted good but the texture was different than what we've had (my wife said it was like tofu crumbles), so I asked them and the sausage meat is all beef. Both sides were good especially the creamed corn. Baked potato and brisket meat that is on it were very good too. There is a condiment station next to fountain drinks and we liked the onions. Also there seemed to be some small sweets such as baklava near the checkout. Pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. Glad we found it.

The sides were not good (cream corn and mac&cheese). They didn't have the flavor I would have enjoyed. The brisket that I received for the 2-meat plate was very thinly sliced. The house-made sausage was good, the look made me think it was going to be bad but I was surprised. The rack of lamb was the best meat I ordered and I was very happy with it. I may never come again because the value and the quality did not meet up where I would prefer.

First time trying this place with my family while visiting from out of state, and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is clean, with comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The service was warm and welcoming, our server Jana was really nice. The food was excellent. We loved the brisket, and the fact that it's halal is a major plus. Overall, a great experience.

I've heard great things about Levant BBQ and had to try during my visit to Houston. I had the brisket, sausage, brisket sandwich, as well as the cole slaw, Mac and cheese, and creamed corn. After you get your food there is a sauce and toppings bar to the side. Let's get into the food: Brisket: it was lukewarm, not as hot as I would have liked. The meat wasn't as moist or juicy as I would have liked either. It was just okay Sausage: they made their sausages a different way with breadcrumbs? It was either that or some sort of filler ingredient, which made it unique. I wasn't a fan because I didn't really taste much of the meat. Mac and cheese: just your average Mac and cheese, nothing special Cole slaw: there wasn't much mayo in it so it tasted healthier. I didn't really like it, but others may. Creamed corn: average. Not much else to say about this one. BBQ sauce: again, average. Not great, but by no means bad. Overall, Levant is a one and done for me. I just wanted to see what the hype was about when it first opened and now I have. With the many BBQ joints in Houston though, I would not consider them one of the best.

Everything we tried was delicious especially the jalapeño cheddar sausage. We also ordered the brisket and chicken. My favorites were the chicken and sausage. The chicken wasn't your typical seasoning either. The sides we had were beans and hummus. The beans were flavorful and the hummus could have been served with a side of pita or chips. That and a little brisket were the only things left over. They also offer self serve soft ice cream. I thought it was very creamy and delicious. Not sure if it's because I hadn't had ice cream in a while or if it was really that good.

I ordered 1/2 lb of Lean Brisket by itself and each slice was very delicious, consistent, had great smokiness, pink rings, black bark and supple seasoning. Very beefy, bold, hearty and lean without being too lean thanks to still having some fat on their edges. Very good quality meat and easy to cut. I dipped some bites in each of the two great, tasty bbq sauces they have, but didn't even need it tbh. I didn't get any sides, but love their fried okra when I do. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I still need to try the beef ribs next.

They were open on Christmas day. We enjoyed a one meat plate with 2 sides. The sides were fried okra and hummus and sliced moist end brisket....tasty. My wife got her a loaded baked tater with a side of fried okra.

Huge Baked Potato and very filling. Fried okra was cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and service and beautiful & comfortable dining room. Complimentary vanilla ice cream as well - delicious!

I am not sure if I got served the same food that all these other influencers on social media are posting because my brisket was salty, my chicken dry, and the sausage even drier that it almost broke my fork. I hate to write negative reviews but I honestly feel like not even the sides made up for the fact that the food was either salty or just dry. The brisket I got was kind of smoky but extremely salty and fatty. I liked that it wasn't totally dry like their chicken and the sausage. The chicken had a lot of smoky flavor but I didn't really taste anything else from the rub. Thankfully it was tender so I was able to enjoy that with the pomegranate sauce from their self-serve condiment bar. The sausage was extremely dry and had no flavor. I didn't know what I was eating. As far as the sides go we got the mac and cheese, the cucumber and dill yogurt, the potato salad, and the coleslaw. The mac and cheese was just ok. The potato salad was probably my favorite thing that I tried along with the yogurt side with the cucumber and dill. The coleslaw had a slightly warm temperature so I am not sure if it was supposed to taste like that or not but it just didn't taste right to me. I would love to go back and give them another chance because everyone was super friendly and were able to answer my questions when I was in line. They did get busy when we were halfway done with our meal and the food looked better and fresher for these folks as they were coming out to sit down.

After getting my haircut in the area, I was starving. I love BBQ, so I stopped by Levant BBQ for some takeout on a Wednesday afternoon. I had no trouble parking in the large lot they have. What initially stands out about Levant is that it's BBQ and Middle Eastern fusion. Halal BBQ. Definitely a first for me! Ambiance (4.5/5): Clean and modern. Think of it as a modern version of your typical BBQ joint. Plenty of seating both inside, as well as a small patio outside. While I didn't dine in, I would have enjoyed doing so. Service (4.5/5): Like most BBQ spots, you order cafeteria style. So service isn't a big part of the experience. But, for what it is, it was seamless, and I got my food quickly. There were only two people ahead of me in line. There is one thing that I really liked, though. They offer complimentary soft serve ice cream. I've seen this at other restaurants, but never at a BBQ joint. Very cool! And it's better than your average soft serve too. Drinks (N/A): I didn't order any drinks on this visit. Food (4.5/5): This is where things got very interesting. You'll see the typical hallmarks of BBQ with a Middle Eastern twist. Sides like hummus or saffron rice. And even dishes like what I ordered: a brisket shawarma. Officially mind blown! They took some brisket, chopped it up, added pickles, jalapeños, red onions, garlic sauce, and bbq sauce, and wrapped it in a freshly pressed wrap. The fusion of cuisines is a match made in heaven. One of those dishes that I always needed in my life, but never thought it existed. The tang of the BBQ worked well with the garlic sauce. While I didn't have jalapeños on mine, they would add a kick. The onion add some crunch and color to the shawarma. And the most important ingredient, the brisket, while not the best I've had, was solid. My only real complaint? A relatively small amount of meet compared to most shawarmas I've had over the years. I'm definitely planning to come back to try a traditional meat and sides plate. A+ for creativity and a wonderful fusion of cultures.

If it wasn't for the service I would've easily given this spot a 2, but they were very friendly and helpful. I decided to give this place a try after hearing that they have good bbq and to be honest it might've been a bad day but it did not exceed my expectations at all. I decided to order their 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides. I got their moist brisket, sausage, Mac & cheese, saffron rice & 1 baklava. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich along with some cream corn. * moist brisket- not very smoky nor enough bark to call this a good brisket but it wasn't bad. I did like that it was tendered & fatty. 3/5 * sausage- terrible. Extremely dry like it's been in the smoker for days. Probably the worst sausages I've ever had. Even the store ones taste better. It was so bad that I had to toss it in the trash. 0/5 * Mac & Cheese- it was a little too runny for my liking. Not that creamy or cheesy. It also didn't have any flavor. But passable for a cafeteria Mac & Cheese. 2/5 * Saffron rice- simple. Tasted like yellow rice. 1.5/5 * Brisket sandwich- the bread wasn't toasted but it was good in quality. Decent portions of brisket. 3/5 * cream corn- probably the best thing they had to offer. It was creamy but not as sweet since I think they added cheese into the corn. 3.5/5 * baklava- not bad. Crispy and flaky. 3/5 * bbq sauces- both were decent. Tangy & vinegary. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience at this location. The food didn't live up to the hype. The portions were a bit small for the price & didn't match up with the quality. The ambiance is chill & they have a good amount of seating. Will I come back? Not any time soon but I'll give them one more chance.

Good but not great, in a town with great bbq. My biggest problem with it is it isn't Texas style bbq. Not very smoky, and no real bark. The brisket and the ribs are tender, and I thought I would love it because there's no pork (messy cutting areas at BBQ places are unpleasant, there was no risk of pork juice getting on my brisket). But it just didn't have the right smoky, peppery flavor profile. The people are nice, and there's free ice cream. But I brought a visiting family member and felt let down that it wasn't real Texas BBQ. Way too expensive to miss the mark this badly. 3*

Wow ! Out of this world! Tasty , juicy and best of all halal ! This takes bbq to another level ! Must try the brisket !! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly with lovely ambiance and relaxing outdoor seating

Overall the staff was friendly, but too many were focused on their phones and not on the customers. The brisket was tasty, but I paid $27 dollars for 2 small slices of brisket and about 1/4 pound of beef sausage. There is no way they should sell you a 2 meat plate and only give you two about 7" long slices of brisket. The place has a large outdoor space that seems inviting for nice weather days, but even good ambiance can't make up for being served such small portions.

Tried this place for the first time with a group of 8 of us. They were super accommodating to our large group and reserved a table for us. The moist brisket and beef rib were SOO tender. Our family loves bbq and we all agreed that the mediterranean flavors in the sides and meats were delicious. Management was so kind to all of us and we will Definitely be back!

I got the beef rib. I saw the picture in yelp and couldn't resist. Is this worth $60? Absofrickinlutely!!! Place is quiet with middle eastern music. These people can smoke some beef ribs!! Service was great. Fast. What I love the most is there was about 7 tables and there were different ethnicities, faith, races, and religions all eating together here. I pay attention to things like this. The world needs more of it. A lot of couples too. I am here by myself on business and this was a great choice!!!

I heard good things about this establishment so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the one meat plate. It comes with one meat, two side and a slice of bread. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, which is always a plus for me. The vibes inside give old rustic and there's plenty of seating. Brisket was seasoned well and tender. I just wish that we received more than two slices for a $21 meat plate. The Mac and cheese taste just exactly how it looked...bland. I wouldn't go out my way to select it again. Cream corn - is good in my book and seasoned well. Overall, this barbecue place is more on the higher end. I probably visit again and try something a little bit different.

It was getting late at night and I was craving some BBQ. I ended up at Levante BBQ. I ordered a Chopped Brisket Sandwich. I think I enjoyed it enough to satisfy the craving but wasn't blown away. The bun was really good. It might of stole the show. The Jalapeños and Onions out-flavored the Brisket on the Sandwich. The service was good. It didn't take long for me to get through the line. Definitely had plenty of Mediterranean sides as options. The decor is definitely Mediterranean mixed with Texas style.

Most friendly staff and owner working behind the glass. The aesthetic of this place is spot on with a gorgeous patio as well as indoor seating. $21 for 1 meat, 2 sides, 2 slices of bread and unlimited pickles, jalapeños, onions, sauces, etc. But trust me and upgrade to $24 for 2 meats because the meat portion increases even if you only get one meat. I almost died when I saw the free vanilla soft serve. All meat is halal and brisket was phenomenal. They also had turkey and sausage but the sausage was out. Chicken is available as well but not as a platter option. Baked potato could've been a tad softer and pass on the mac and cheese. Do go for the potato salad and creamed corn. Levant BBQ is a lovely add to the Houston landscape.

I can see why this place isn't that busy. Or trending . Normally bbq places thrive in this area. But I ordered a two meat plate which is 25$ plus tax. Get brisket and sausage. The guy only gave me 2 slices of brisket , so they skimp a lot here. One sausage link which is about average . The brisket was decent nothing special , it's a bit over cooked . The sausage has no snap too it. It's a below average sausage . The Mac and cheese isn't cheesy or creamy enough it's pretty bland . The corn they make is decent. Overall I would say this place is just an average bbq place , nothing special . It was underwhelming tbh

Brisket - 9.5/10 Chicken - 9/10 Turkey - 9/10 Brisket potatoes - 9/10 Creamed corn - 8/10 Beans - 9/10 Mac and cheese - 8/10 Levant BBQ is the newest halal Mediterranean BBQ spot in town!! All the meats were cooked so well - juicy and tender! I really enjoyed the brisket but it could be a tad more flavorful. I also think the chicken and turkey were a bit salty. They have a variety of tasty sides to choose from and everything was fresh. It was definitely a great experience overall and i loved the ambiance.

So I had to run it back. Was in the area for lunch and wanted bbq. I ordered the brisket potato. Service was a little timid this time but fine. As far as the potato it really was just ok. It looked good but it just didn't hit the notes. I know he put brisket on there but it still felt not present. The sauces seemed off from my first experience. She initially was gonna add the mustard based sauce and I'm glad she didn't. I got some on the side from the condiment bar, and when I tried it with it I did not like it. I did opt for the pomegranate based sauce. Idk if something was missing or changed but it was different too. Idk what happened between my first visit but I have faith y'all can find your way back to it. I would suggest going to other bbq spots and trying out their potato's and how they plate it to get a feel of the customer experience. From the meaty overflowing bites to the seasoning of the potato or at minimum providing salt and pepper for guest. Good luck!

Seriously the best meat I've ever tried in my LIFE. And my family is in the cattle industry so honestly I was just as shocked. Pls do yourself a favor and go try their brisket. The way it just melts in your mouth is mind blowing, the okra was crunchy and amazing, honestly everything was so beyond what I expected. 100/10 recommend I will definitely be back. Everyone was so kind and the decor is so Texas cute. Sorry my phone did not get to eat first.

Wow. Definitely on the higher priced side. We got two feast and a bunch of sides. We were a party of 20. Are outside which was hot but not bad. Flies were definitely a nuisance. Meat was delicious. Brisket was my fav. Loaded fries with cheese garlic sauce and brisket was really good. Mac and cheese, humus, corn, and couscous salad were good. Not a fan of the Cole slaw or potato salad. Service was good. Would definitely go back.

Nice BBQ, all meat options are halal. It is a station style, order the meet then add sides to your plate. Brisket is good, not perfect. It could have been if it had less fat and more fresh. Sausage is ok, not perfectly fresh neither. Sides are ok, potato salad was very good. Lamb and ribs are separate. Beef ribs were good per my friend. Service is classic, nice welcome. The ambiance is really good, inside and terrace seating options.

The best of Mediterranean BBQ in town. So delicious. Ribs fall off the done and other meats are equally tender. We first enjoyed this place on my love's birthday 2024. It was memorable and delicious enough to have for 2025 Thanksgiving meal. Sooooo good.

I walked a mile from my hotel to try out Levant and I will say this: I will walk a mile again. The team here should be really proud of themselves for coming up with halal barbecue because this is a cuisine that is lacking generally and they do a wonderful job here. The brisket was moist and tender and hit the.spot (and I have had some top quality brisket all over the country). The sides were fresh and had great flavor to them. More than anything they put their soul into the service here and what they produce and that is a testament to how much they desire to offer quality. The ambiance and setting is great and there's plenty of seating to go about. Keep it up guys! Will definitely be back!

Guys come here! The food was absolutely phenomenal, I am cut tor words to describe the bliss I felt eating , their brisket, ribs, and sweet potatos. Not only the food was great , their custome service was great , they gave us complmentary ice cream and they provided to our needs perfectly. I highly recommend coming here to eat some Texas style brisket. if had to make one complaint , is that it had no television to watch sport games, like American foot ball, but it doesnt really matter anyways.

Great food, but messy service and really skimpy portions. $24 for two meats but they give you two slices of brisket and a fat thing of chicken. People come to a BBQ for brisket and two slices is just shameful really. The mac and cheese is not very good, and it would be nice to have cones for the soft serve ice cream as well.

Service was very warm and friendly. Their lamb leg fell off the bone, the brisket was really good and the right balance of meat and fat, and the japapeno sausage was the dark horse for me, and a fave. You can get toum and hummus on the side and the fried okra was perfectly crisply cooked. The barboussa drinks was a dose of nostalgia for me too. Great open space, with shaded patio seating outside. Come for a great hangout with friends.

The moment I walked in, the smell of BBQ hit me--smoky sausage, brisket, and all the right flavors in the air. That alone let me know I made the right choice. The food did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and literally falling off the bone. Every bite was packed with flavor. On top of that, the staff was incredibly kind. I ended up being a dollar or two short on my tab, and instead of making a big deal about it, they still gave me my food and drink without hesitation. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it definitely made an impression. I'll 100% be back--amazing food and even better people!

I came here on grand opening day to get some takeout! I got the loaded baked potato with brisket, and I also picked up a brisket plate with Mac and cheese, creamed corn, and fried okra for my brother. We both really enjoyed the food! Brisket was nice, flavorful and tender. Also, service was great considering how crowded/busy it was. Ambiance was really nice too. I'll definitely be back!

It's a beautiful restaurant. The aroma of Texas barbecue hits you when you walk in. Service is great! Everyone is very polite and helpful. The brisket was phenomenal! Juicy, perfectly tender and the seasoning was *chef's kiss*. A big bonus is that it's fully halal putting it on par with the best barbecue joints in town. Will definitely be returning!

We have found a BBQ place that have the best beef ribs. We are from California Newport Beach so it's super hard when we move to Houston searching for BBQ beef ribs . I believe we have found it. Excellent food and the service was impeccable even though our order got mixed up and it was fix within minutes. Restaurant was very clean. Absolutely coming back.

I gave this place a try. This place is not as bad as all these bad reviews. It's not the BEST tasting bbq in Houston but it's not nasty. It's different if you're looking for a different style of bbq. It's Mediterranean spices and was seasoned well to me. Yea I can pass on the Mac n cheese, it was bland to me but nothing salt & pepper can't fix & the potato salad was just okay. I'd still eat here if I was in the area and had a taste for different tasting bbq. It's a nice spot overall

What a wonderful way to celebrate my father-in-law's 99th birthday! Sam and and the staff made us feel so welcome, and the food was delicious, as always!

Wow! I was impressed with the selection of BBQ, and the taste of everything I ordered. I'm looking forward to trying all the different sausage options to compare. I got the wet brisket and jalapeño sausage. Both were amazing. Smoke Master just said he had won Top 10 at Houston Rodeo and I can see why. Sides all looked great, I got the Baked Beans, amazing, little heat. And the cream corn, so much flavor. Table next to use said the Mac n Cheese was wonderful also. DO NOT WAIT TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT.

The barbecue is very good. We ate there once and tried a lot of different things. The next time we wanted to watch football at home so we brought it home. We had the beef rib, which was outstanding. All the sides are great really like the cucumber salad the ice cream that they give at the end of the meal is great and it was very good very clean. The people are very nice and helpful. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, four member from our party of nine got food poisoning after eating dinner at Levant Saturday night. The bbq was good but unfortunately the tomato salad and side salad that all 4 of us ate had us all vomiting for 24hrs. Please be careful with the sides when eating there.

Food is absolutely delish. Love the sides offered and the brisket is amazing. In my next trip I'm trying the loaded fries.
