The Best Barbecue Restaurants in Houston Right Now | Eater Houston

"Levantine-style barbecue infused with Mediterranean flavors is having a moment in Texas. Here’s where to try it in Houston. Levant BBQ offers halal-smoked meats, including ribs, chicken, and brisket, available on plates, in sandwiches, or as a shawarma. It’s also one of the few barbecue joints in the city where diners can regularly try smoked lamb leg, lamb neck, and lamb chops, which are menu staples offered at $36 per pound. The sides are where Mediterranean flavors truly shine, featuring hummus, a refreshing cucumber-dill salad, saffron rice, Fasolia, creamed corn, and more." - Brittany Britto Garley

Best Halal Restaurants in Houston | Eater Houston

"At this Mediterranean-style barbecue joint, “no pork on the fork” is its unofficial slogan. Levant prides itself on being fully halal, offering slow-smoked meats, including brisket, lamb, beef ribs, and homemade sausage, with a Mediterranean flair. Sides here include more traditional barbecue options like cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, potato salad, and Cowboy Caviar, but diners can also indulge in Levant-style versions like cucumber with dill, saffron rice, and quinoa. If riding solo, try your barbecue in platter form or in a sandwich. The brisket shawarma is a must. For a meal that can feed the family (four to six people), consider one of its sharable feasts. Get your lamb fix with its Lamb Feast ($199), which includes one leg of lamb and one lamb neck, plus six sides and accompaniments, including bread, pickles, onion, and barbecue sauce. Or, go for the Levant Feast ($149), which offers a well-rounded sample of Levant’s barbecue with a pound of brisket, a massive beef rib, half a chicken, half a turkey, and two sausage links plus sides." - Brianna Griff

Levant BBQ - Review - Galleria - Houston - The Infatuation

"Levant BBQ in the Galleria gives you an up-close view of the staff slicing lamb chops and housemade sausages from the kitchen. This Mediterranean barbecue spot sells smoked meat by the pound alongside brisket shawarma sandwiches. You can also order individual dinner plates served with saffron rice or fasolia." - Gianni Greene

Google
One of the best bbq spots in Houston… with a Mediterranean touch! I got the brisket, which was tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious. I got the potato salad and a quinoa salad for sides, as well as a pistachio baklava which were all really good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was friendly and quick! Atmosphere was great for dining in. Would definitely bring my family and friends back!

Google
This is a must stop if you are a brisket and shawarma fan. The vibe is causal and welcoming. The moment I walked in I was greeted and the team helped guide my lunch selection. The must have is the brisket and shawarma sandwich/wrap. I highly recommend this place and best pet is if you have trouble locating it roll your window down and follow the bbq smell to the restaurant.

Google
This place popped up on a social media feed and we were intrigued. We had one 2-meat plate; brisket (moist) and house sausage with potato salad and creamed corn, and a loaded brisket baked potato (hold the jalepeno). Brisket was very good. Sausage tasted good but the texture was different than what we've had (my wife said it was like tofu crumbles), so I asked them and the sausage meat is all beef. Both sides were good especially the creamed corn. Baked potato and brisket meat that is on it were very good too. There is a condiment station next to fountain drinks and we liked the onions. Also there seemed to be some small sweets such as baklava near the checkout. Pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. Glad we found it.

Google
This is the first time we came since recently opened. We chose the meal 2 option which includes all types of meat. My family like it and gave them 7/10. I also love it. Great food. However, when I ordered, workers weren't have smile face. What I felt that I am not valued customer when ordering. They were which one?, what else?, here it is!! Hope, they can be more nicer especially first time customers who doesn't have any single idea how and what to order!!! But, thanks and great place to have a Halal BBQ place to eat with family.

Google
Absolute gem 🔥🔥🔥 The meat is tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sides are just as tasty and made with care. On top of that, the atmosphere is welcoming and full of great vibes. Easily one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to—highly recommend!

Google
Levant BBQ is hands down the best barbecue spot in Houston! The beef ribs are absolutely incredible , tender, smoky, and full of flavor. The brisket melts in your mouth and pairs perfectly with the fresh bread they serve on the side. What really sets this place apart is not just the quality of the meat but also the unique Mediterranean touch and the generous portions. I’ve tried other BBQ places around Houston, but nothing compares to this one. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top notch BBQ and a welcoming atmosphere

Google
We thought the BBQ was excellent. It has a unique mix of spices and taste that are pleasing to the pallet. We really enjoyed the beef Rib, brisket, and sides. It was awesome. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. We will return to the place again.

Google
Wow!!! I’ve been looking for a halal brisket bbq place since I moved here. I am so happy this opened up. Food presentation was amazing and the quality of meat was **chef’s kiss** My favorite was the brisket because it was cooked to perfection and was sliding off the bone. The sausage was my second favorite. Customer service was pleasant and welcoming too. We ordered the family feast and it fed 4 adults and 3 kids under 7.

Yelp
I am not sure if I got served the same food that all these other influencers on social media are posting because my brisket was salty, my chicken dry, and the sausage even drier that it almost broke my fork. I hate to write negative reviews but I honestly feel like not even the sides made up for the fact that the food was either salty or just dry. The brisket I got was kind of smoky but extremely salty and fatty. I liked that it wasn't totally dry like their chicken and the sausage. The chicken had a lot of smoky flavor but I didn't really taste anything else from the rub. Thankfully it was tender so I was able to enjoy that with the pomegranate sauce from their self-serve condiment bar. The sausage was extremely dry and had no flavor. I didn't know what I was eating. As far as the sides go we got the mac and cheese, the cucumber and dill yogurt, the potato salad, and the coleslaw. The mac and cheese was just ok. The potato salad was probably my favorite thing that I tried along with the yogurt side with the cucumber and dill. The coleslaw had a slightly warm temperature so I am not sure if it was supposed to taste like that or not but it just didn't taste right to me. I would love to go back and give them another chance because everyone was super friendly and were able to answer my questions when I was in line. They did get busy when we were halfway done with our meal and the food looked better and fresher for these folks as they were coming out to sit down.

Yelp
I heard good things about this establishment so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the one meat plate. It comes with one meat, two side and a slice of bread. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door, which is always a plus for me. The vibes inside give old rustic and there's plenty of seating. Brisket was seasoned well and tender. I just wish that we received more than two slices for a $21 meat plate. The Mac and cheese taste just exactly how it looked...bland. I wouldn't go out my way to select it again. Cream corn - is good in my book and seasoned well. Overall, this barbecue place is more on the higher end. I probably visit again and try something a little bit different.

Yelp
If it wasn't for the service I would've easily given this spot a 2, but they were very friendly and helpful. I decided to give this place a try after hearing that they have good bbq and to be honest it might've been a bad day but it did not exceed my expectations at all. I decided to order their 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides. I got their moist brisket, sausage, Mac & cheese, saffron rice & 1 baklava. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich along with some cream corn. * moist brisket- not very smoky nor enough bark to call this a good brisket but it wasn't bad. I did like that it was tendered & fatty. 3/5 * sausage- terrible. Extremely dry like it's been in the smoker for days. Probably the worst sausages I've ever had. Even the store ones taste better. It was so bad that I had to toss it in the trash. 0/5 * Mac & Cheese- it was a little too runny for my liking. Not that creamy or cheesy. It also didn't have any flavor. But passable for a cafeteria Mac & Cheese. 2/5 * Saffron rice- simple. Tasted like yellow rice. 1.5/5 * Brisket sandwich- the bread wasn't toasted but it was good in quality. Decent portions of brisket. 3/5 * cream corn- probably the best thing they had to offer. It was creamy but not as sweet since I think they added cheese into the corn. 3.5/5 * baklava- not bad. Crispy and flaky. 3/5 * bbq sauces- both were decent. Tangy & vinegary. Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience at this location. The food didn't live up to the hype. The portions were a bit small for the price & didn't match up with the quality. The ambiance is chill & they have a good amount of seating. Will I come back? Not any time soon but I'll give them one more chance.

Yelp
So I had to run it back. Was in the area for lunch and wanted bbq. I ordered the brisket potato. Service was a little timid this time but fine. As far as the potato it really was just ok. It looked good but it just didn't hit the notes. I know he put brisket on there but it still felt not present. The sauces seemed off from my first experience. She initially was gonna add the mustard based sauce and I'm glad she didn't. I got some on the side from the condiment bar, and when I tried it with it I did not like it. I did opt for the pomegranate based sauce. Idk if something was missing or changed but it was different too. Idk what happened between my first visit but I have faith y'all can find your way back to it. I would suggest going to other bbq spots and trying out their potato's and how they plate it to get a feel of the customer experience. From the meaty overflowing bites to the seasoning of the potato or at minimum providing salt and pepper for guest. Good luck!

Yelp
It was getting late at night and I was craving some BBQ. I ended up at Levante BBQ. I ordered a Chopped Brisket Sandwich. I think I enjoyed it enough to satisfy the craving but wasn't blown away. The bun was really good. It might of stole the show. The Jalapeños and Onions out-flavored the Brisket on the Sandwich. The service was good. It didn't take long for me to get through the line. Definitely had plenty of Mediterranean sides as options. The decor is definitely Mediterranean mixed with Texas style.

Yelp
Good but not great, in a town with great bbq. My biggest problem with it is it isn't Texas style bbq. Not very smoky, and no real bark. The brisket and the ribs are tender, and I thought I would love it because there's no pork (messy cutting areas at BBQ places are unpleasant, there was no risk of pork juice getting on my brisket). But it just didn't have the right smoky, peppery flavor profile. The people are nice, and there's free ice cream. But I brought a visiting family member and felt let down that it wasn't real Texas BBQ. Way too expensive to miss the mark this badly. 3*

Yelp
I went here before work yesterday afternoon and was heavily debating between the lamb necks and beef rib, then decided to try the lamb neck this time and beef rib next. I am already a big fan of the brisket here. I ordered a lb of the Lamb Neck with mac cheese and fried okra for sides. The lamb neck was very meaty, very tender, soft n juicy in every bite and very delicious with just enough notes to know it's lamb without being too gamy. The smokiness was great and made it more exciting obviously. The fried okra was also very delicious, crunchy and tasted homemade, unlike some places that might use bagged ones. The batter was ideal thickness and the soft okra stood out to it 50-50 vs the good outer crunch. It had a little bit of a broiled oyster flavor to it imo too, which I love. However, the mac n cheese was not real creamy like when I had it the first time. It tasted good overall, but texture is really important for that side. The taste didn't seem as cheddary or very mildly garlicky as the first time, but if the density was there I'd still be cool with it. The bbq sauces were both very tasty, tangy just enough and mildly sweet without being too runny. There was like a saffron zing in them or something. I always get both to eat some bites with each. Great, welcoming, friendly service again.

Yelp
Wow. Definitely on the higher priced side. We got two feast and a bunch of sides. We were a party of 20. Are outside which was hot but not bad. Flies were definitely a nuisance. Meat was delicious. Brisket was my fav. Loaded fries with cheese garlic sauce and brisket was really good. Mac and cheese, humus, corn, and couscous salad were good. Not a fan of the Cole slaw or potato salad. Service was good. Would definitely go back.

Yelp
I can see why this place isn't that busy. Or trending . Normally bbq places thrive in this area. But I ordered a two meat plate which is 25$ plus tax. Get brisket and sausage. The guy only gave me 2 slices of brisket , so they skimp a lot here. One sausage link which is about average . The brisket was decent nothing special , it's a bit over cooked . The sausage has no snap too it. It's a below average sausage . The Mac and cheese isn't cheesy or creamy enough it's pretty bland . The corn they make is decent. Overall I would say this place is just an average bbq place , nothing special . It was underwhelming tbh

Yelp
Most friendly staff and owner working behind the glass. The aesthetic of this place is spot on with a gorgeous patio as well as indoor seating. $21 for 1 meat, 2 sides, 2 slices of bread and unlimited pickles, jalapeños, onions, sauces, etc. But trust me and upgrade to $24 for 2 meats because the meat portion increases even if you only get one meat. I almost died when I saw the free vanilla soft serve. All meat is halal and brisket was phenomenal. They also had turkey and sausage but the sausage was out. Chicken is available as well but not as a platter option. Baked potato could've been a tad softer and pass on the mac and cheese. Do go for the potato salad and creamed corn. Levant BBQ is a lovely add to the Houston landscape.
google avatar

Yelp
Seriously the best meat I've ever tried in my LIFE. And my family is in the cattle industry so honestly I was just as shocked. Pls do yourself a favor and go try their brisket. The way it just melts in your mouth is mind blowing, the okra was crunchy and amazing, honestly everything was so beyond what I expected. 100/10 recommend I will definitely be back. Everyone was so kind and the decor is so Texas cute. Sorry my phone did not get to eat first.

Yelp
Brisket - 9.5/10 Chicken - 9/10 Turkey - 9/10 Brisket potatoes - 9/10 Creamed corn - 8/10 Beans - 9/10 Mac and cheese - 8/10 Levant BBQ is the newest halal Mediterranean BBQ spot in town!! All the meats were cooked so well - juicy and tender! I really enjoyed the brisket but it could be a tad more flavorful. I also think the chicken and turkey were a bit salty. They have a variety of tasty sides to choose from and everything was fresh. It was definitely a great experience overall and i loved the ambiance.
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
Our son raved about Levant so we had to go, glad we did. We enjoyed a two meat plate that comes with two sides and added a 1/4 pound of smoked turkey. The sliced brisket was tender and full of flavor....great enough to make into the top ten brisket in the 2025 rodeo cookoff....this was the star of the show on our plate of tastiness. The house made sausage was tender and really good. The sides we selected were fried okra and hummus, both were top notch. The smoked turkey was the bomb. We also made a couple pieces of baklava disappear. The plate comes with bread and a nice condiments bar, pickled onions, fresh onions, assorted pickles, etc. They have complimentary soft serve ice cream. Met the owner, very nice guy. We'll be back. My wife saw a loaded brisket baked tater she may have to try.
google avatar

Sylvia C.

Yelp
We have found a BBQ place that have the best beef ribs. We are from California Newport Beach so it's super hard when we move to Houston searching for BBQ beef ribs . I believe we have found it. Excellent food and the service was impeccable even though our order got mixed up and it was fix within minutes. Restaurant was very clean. Absolutely coming back.
google avatar

Joe G.

Yelp
5 Stars - Brisket Like No Other! Hands down, the best brisket I've ever had - it literally melts in your mouth! The flavor, tenderness, and quality are top-tier. The place is also super clean, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. As a local business owner of TX Wraps, I really appreciate seeing other local spots deliver such amazing service. I'll definitely be back and will continue to support businesses like this!
google avatar

Anthony J.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was fantastic from the moment you stepped inside. The atmosphere gives off a traditional BBQ vibe, but it's so clean and peaceful.
google avatar

Moaz A.

Yelp
Nice BBQ, all meat options are halal. It is a station style, order the meet then add sides to your plate. Brisket is good, not perfect. It could have been if it had less fat and more fresh. Sausage is ok, not perfectly fresh neither. Sides are ok, potato salad was very good. Lamb and ribs are separate. Beef ribs were good per my friend. Service is classic, nice welcome. The ambiance is really good, inside and terrace seating options.
google avatar

Mohamed K.

Yelp
I walked a mile from my hotel to try out Levant and I will say this: I will walk a mile again. The team here should be really proud of themselves for coming up with halal barbecue because this is a cuisine that is lacking generally and they do a wonderful job here. The brisket was moist and tender and hit the.spot (and I have had some top quality brisket all over the country). The sides were fresh and had great flavor to them. More than anything they put their soul into the service here and what they produce and that is a testament to how much they desire to offer quality. The ambiance and setting is great and there's plenty of seating to go about. Keep it up guys! Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Imran A.

Yelp
Great place to be. Excellent food. Fantastic customer service. I love to try again. Beef sandwich was so juicy and enough

Mizz D.

Yelp
I gave this place a try. This place is not as bad as all these bad reviews. It's not the BEST tasting bbq in Houston but it's not nasty. It's different if you're looking for a different style of bbq. It's Mediterranean spices and was seasoned well to me. Yea I can pass on the Mac n cheese, it was bland to me but nothing salt & pepper can't fix & the potato salad was just okay. I'd still eat here if I was in the area and had a taste for different tasting bbq. It's a nice spot overall
google avatar

Nikki R.

Yelp
Great food, but messy service and really skimpy portions. $24 for two meats but they give you two slices of brisket and a fat thing of chicken. People come to a BBQ for brisket and two slices is just shameful really. The mac and cheese is not very good, and it would be nice to have cones for the soft serve ice cream as well.

Johnson J.

Yelp
I seen this on Instagram so I thought to go try it for myself. As I entered I saw a very clear menu on the wall, and I decided to order a little bit of several of the meats. I can tell you this restaurant is clean neat you definitely won't find any hair in the food and the taste of the barbecue is really good It's not an overwhelming recipe. It's a mild smoke and I urge you to try their pomegranate barbecue sauce. The sides were delicious too coleslaw and potato salad so I had a really good experience and I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Samah K.

Yelp
I came here on grand opening day to get some takeout! I got the loaded baked potato with brisket, and I also picked up a brisket plate with Mac and cheese, creamed corn, and fried okra for my brother. We both really enjoyed the food! Brisket was nice, flavorful and tender. Also, service was great considering how crowded/busy it was. Ambiance was really nice too. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Review: (5/5) At first, I wasn't sure about stopping at Levant BBQ, but I'm so glad I did. The moment I walked in, the smell of BBQ hit me--smoky sausage, brisket, and all the right flavors in the air. That alone let me know I made the right choice. The food did not disappoint. The meat was cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and literally falling off the bone. Every bite was packed with flavor. On top of that, the staff was incredibly kind. I ended up being a dollar or two short on my tab, and instead of making a big deal about it, they still gave me my food and drink without hesitation. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it definitely made an impression. I'll 100% be back--amazing food and even better people!
google avatar

Sofia K.

Yelp
It's a beautiful restaurant. The aroma of Texas barbecue hits you when you walk in. Service is great! Everyone is very polite and helpful. The brisket was phenomenal! Juicy, perfectly tender and the seasoning was *chef's kiss*. A big bonus is that it's fully halal putting it on par with the best barbecue joints in town. Will definitely be returning!
google avatar

George D.

Yelp
Food was great, most important the service was Top tier. You know it's good when the kids Finish their food.
google avatar

Denise K.

Yelp
What a wonderful way to celebrate my father-in-law's 99th birthday! Sam and and the staff made us feel so welcome, and the food was delicious, as always!
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
This BBQ place had great reviews so we decided to check it out. We will 100% eat here again. This is a Mediterranean place so no pork. Don't let that detour you. I am not a brisket fan normally but this was amazing. I got the two meat plate with brisket and dark meat chicken. They were some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The potato salad and Cole slaw were good. One of the best additions was the garlic sauce. So yummy! Small wait and staff were super nice. The restaurant is also very nice inside.
google avatar

Allie P.

Yelp
Randomly came here for convinced, ended up being the best meal I had in Houston so far. I wish there was halal BBQ in California!
google avatar

Jesse G.

Yelp
Amazing service, great food, you need to try this place out if you like Mediterranean bbq. They treat their customers with class.
google avatar

Julio B.

Yelp
Amazing soft brisket, fast service, great customer service. From California to Texas, a must try.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
Wow! I was impressed with the selection of BBQ, and the taste of everything I ordered. I'm looking forward to trying all the different sausage options to compare. I got the wet brisket and jalapeño sausage. Both were amazing. Smoke Master just said he had won Top 10 at Houston Rodeo and I can see why. Sides all looked great, I got the Baked Beans, amazing, little heat. And the cream corn, so much flavor. Table next to use said the Mac n Cheese was wonderful also. DO NOT WAIT TO TRY THIS PLACE OUT.
google avatar

Sameet R.

Yelp
Unfortunately, four member from our party of nine got food poisoning after eating dinner at Levant Saturday night. The bbq was good but unfortunately the tomato salad and side salad that all 4 of us ate had us all vomiting for 24hrs. Please be careful with the sides when eating there.
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delish. Love the sides offered and the brisket is amazing. In my next trip I'm trying the loaded fries.

Kristopher B.

Yelp
The lamb neck is unreal--tender, rich, cooked to absolute perfection. As someone who thinks brisket is usually overrated, theirs was spot-on and full of flavor. The beef rib? Insane. Huge, juicy, and melts in your mouth. Everything is halal, no pork on the menu. But the turkey sausage, packed with Mediterranean spices, more than makes up for it--super flavorful and unique. Every single dish we tried was phenomenal. This place absolutely deserves a spot on your list. Also, got to chat with the pitmaster--genuinely kind and clearly passionate about the craft.
google avatar

In-ja M.

Yelp
The brisker was devine! It was so soft and everyone in the establishment was so friendly and greeted is with such infectious happiness!! I should have asked but the Pit master I assume, was excellent on the board and gave us heaping servings. Again the brisket I'd like butter. Just tender juicy and delicious. I encourage everyone to visit! I'll definitely be back. Go early because beef ribs always go fast!! Thank you for making our first visit one that will definitely bring us back!! The restaurant is very clean and they bust the tables as soon as the guest leave, I love a clean restaurant with a great patio and beautiful interior!!! Well worth a visit!!!
google avatar

Thiany H.

Yelp
Wowzers. This barbecue is the best in town. And their beef is USDA Prime. Really nice ambiance inside.
google avatar

Safina A.

Yelp
The Owner is very nice. This place looks really nice on the inside, clean, food was good too. I'll definitely be back to eat more BBQ
google avatar

Adi D.

Yelp
Not impressed at all at the quality of food, the service, or the price. It is extremely expensive compared to the top BBQ restaurants in Houston such as Pappas BBQ, The Pit Room, and others. Additionally they refuse to give you lean meat for the high price they charge. Today they told me they have to weight the meat with all the fat on it and after I pay the high price they charge then they can remove the fat and dump it in the trash. I have never heard anything more ridiculous than that. I took my wife and kids and walked out after they said that. I will continue to eat at Pappas BBQ and The Pit Room to name a few who serve top quality BBQ at a much better pricing than Levant BBQ. Being Halal doesn't mean better and doesn't mean it's worth more. It's the greed of these people that gets me. I give them one star and will never return to this restaurant ever again.
google avatar

Sonia K.

Yelp
Service was very warm and friendly. Their lamb leg fell off the bone, the brisket was really good and the right balance of meat and fat, and the japapeno sausage was the dark horse for me, and a fave. You can get toum and hummus on the side and the fried okra was perfectly crisply cooked. The barboussa drinks was a dose of nostalgia for me too. Great open space, with shaded patio seating outside. Come for a great hangout with friends.
google avatar

Hadi R.

Yelp
Significantly better this time. Got a lot of the meat options and they are all delicious. Definitely recommend this spot. I want to come back soon.
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
I don't really review BBQ because I might be Texan but BBQ just really is not my thing. I've been out of the country for a few weeks and when I returned I noticed this place finally opened and it was slam packed EVERYDAY. So I gave in and decided to grab some to go. Yall this brisket blew my mind! Out of the limited times I've had BBQ I can confidently say Levant has changed my mind on BBQ! The brisket literally falls apart and it has the perfect amount of fat. It's not dry and it's perfectly seasoned. I think I'm going to give BBQ a second chance.
google avatar

Ricardo E.

Yelp
Excellent brisket flavor and variety of sides. Serving sizes were plentiful and staff was open for questions and provided great customer service
google avatar

Aziza K.

Yelp
My family and I tried out Levant today and we're pleasantly surprised by how good all the meat was. We got the Levant Feast which includes brisket, beef rib, turkey, chicken, and sausage. Unfortunately they didn't have sausage on the day we went, but the rest of the meat was so good we didn't mind. The brisket was the star of the show. Up until now, Pinkerton's has been my favorite place to get brisket but Levant has officially replaced them. The beef ribs are better than the ones at Pinkerton. The sides were decent, but nothing to write hime about. We tried the okra, potato salad, beans, cole slaw, and the garden salad. The customer service was great and the free soft serve to finish off the meal was a nice sweet treat. The whole family loved it. Will definitely be back! Side note: The only thing that was a bit strange was that they didn't really have anything for us to eat on and seemed kind of confused when we asked. The food was served on wooden cutting boards but there was nothing for us to actually our individual portions on. We were given the little paper boats that they use for sides when we asked. I would recommend at least having paper plates or butcher paper available for people to eat on

Yelp
It's opening day here and I'm bummed about my experience. The place is super nice inside but the it's better than the food. It's pretty ballsy to plant a new bbq spot around the corner from Roegels on Voss. It looks like the family that owns the place was here but did not give a Texas welcome to its customers. Price: $21 for a quarter pound of dry brisket. That's pretty strong. The cole slaw was almost standard...too much white onion. The Mac and cheese was way too soft and soggy. I could not finish it. There's no brewed tea. Bbq & no tea in Houston? This is definitely a Mediterranean fusion bbq place where's there's no guy working the wood over the fire. Clientele: non-Texans.

Yelp
The person at the counter had no concern for anyone's time. I waited for a very long time and watched other employees just stand around. He frequently left and came back and I had to just wait. Not great service. The owners seemed very nice I just think that there should be staff to assist if you want to take your time with an order. He weighed at least 6 different meats and I have a toddler and needed to get home. Definitely won't be back

Yelp
This place is amazing and believe its a family owned restaurant. Has great food, good vibes. Their brisket was perfect. Though seating area is bit tight but the service is great. Must try out

Yelp
Ok. They have been open 10 days so will give them a break:). They were out of turkey, sausage and i guess french fries as my buddy tried to order loaded fries and said they were out. I ordered 1 meat platter and to be honest was too expensive as i got half chicken breast and wing w 2 sides for 21.00! What!? Chicken was good and bbq sauce great. The sides i ordered. Beans rice and cheesy corn. Some of the best sides i have had at bbq anywhere!!!! I put the rice into the beans to make a beans and rice combo. So good! I would come back just to try more sides! Also 3.50 for a fountain drink? I wish them well but they have to get things in order for sure
