Alhamdulillah omg this food was everything I thought it would be! Mashallah after fasting for nearly 14 hours today I needed this food. The owner is so sweet, I think his name is Mr.John . Omg the red kool aid 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 baby too delicious! Y’all go eat with Mr. John I promise you’ll be full and sleepy afterwards 😂😂😂

I visited for the first time on October 26, 2025, and ordered the “Real Meal Deal Baked Chicken.” I thought it was a family meal, but it was just a plate with macaroni and cheese, greens, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on top. The greens had large onions, jalapeños, and tomatoes, which I didn’t eat, and I didn’t realize the baked chicken came with gravy. The food was okay overall I mostly ate the chicken, some of the greens, and a bit of the macaroni and cheese. My bank showed an initial charge of $23.75, but when it cleared, it posted as $25.75, and I didn’t receive a receipt. Also, prepare to wait in the drive-thru because I assume some orders are cooked right then and there. Because of the price difference and lack of a receipt, I don’t plan to return.

The food is always amazing! Sorry, I forgot to take a picture. But I think he took one when he made a plate. It was so much food that te lid didn’t close! I tried to have restraint and save some for tomorrow!!😂😂😂Better luck next time!

I love this place! Amazing tasting food and great customer service. There’s usually a wait but the food is always fresh like straight out the grease to your plate kinda fresh and the veggies are always seasoned just right. I love coming here to support and the guy at the window is always so kind and such a vibe! 10/10 P.S this place is drive thru only!

No matter what I order from here the food never disappoints! He's always welcoming and for him to be the only one there he is fast! I'd eat here everyday if he was closer 😋

This was my first visit, and I believe I experienced a piece of heaven on earth! Oh! My! Goodness! I googled a soul food spot and this one was the closest--maybe Devine intervention perhaps. We only needed sides because we had ham prepared. So I ordered greens, mac-n-cheese, yams, and a side of green beans. I came home and begin to prepare a plate. And you know how you just gotta sample it while you fixing someone's else plate. Babaay!! I place a fork of greens in my mouth, and moaaaned. Like the taste of these greens begin to actually talk to me. Then I ate a fork of green beans....I moaned. Oh my God, I couldn't help it! Then I went on to eat the mac-n-cheese and the candied yams. Lord..... I don't have any words at this point, because this food has begun a praise dance within my soul. Finally, I sat down at the table with the entire entree and decided to bite into the cornbread. And my soul leaped for joy! The cornbread had just as much flavor as the greens and beans! I said out loud to my family, "This man is anointed." I could actually taste the love put into this food. Somebody bring me some tissues! Cause Lawd!! I wasn't prepared to experienced heaven at my dinner table like this today. Mr. Lewis, I'll be back! And I'm bringing some friends to experience the love you serving. For the rest ya' ll that stop after reading this post--just save your girl some, that's all I'm saying. Just save me some!

The food and service deserve more than the 5 stars allowable. The fried chicken almost made me shed tears of joy because it was seasoned and cooked to perfection i.e. crispy, salty, moist, and well done. Combo that with spicy greens & mac n cheese someone put their foot in and some peach cobbler for dessert and I left a happy man. BeCause this was my first visit, I also tried the tilapia with fries, the fried pork chops with more greens and candied yams. It all went down. Finally, the bonus benefit of a drive thru window make the experience sort cool in my opinion. If I was a local this would now be a frequent eatery I'd visit. Either way, I will be back.

I use to come and get good quality food here all the time but this time I was very disappointed. It seems as if things have went downhill. The food was dry and bland and the rice was over cooked bag rice. It was a patty but suppose to be chopped steak. Don’t even waste your time or money stopping by here. The owner had a nasty attitude because he tried to give me 2 large drinks when I only asked for one and 2 regular size. I won’t be returning after this.

A old school cook that knows how to cook..I've been going to him for years.. everywhere he has moved, i moved with him. That Damn dressing he cooks and pork chops is amazing.. His kool-aid and cakes are the bomb too.. check him out

Just like to say first the food was good. But I was disappointed when I got boiled chicken and not Baked like the sign said. U been in business 25 years and u don't no the difference between baked and boiled. I'll leave a picture for u on what baked chicken looks like ok

This is the BEST food I have tasted in a looooong time. Everything is GOOD! There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it. This is a must try!

Usually food is consistently good. Owner's attitude varies. For a quick take home ready to eat it's a good spot.

This place is PHENOMENAL! I am so happy I was able to find this gem. I got all of this for $17.99! Are you kidding me? The chicken literally fell off the bone. So tender and juicy. The spices were spot on. The collards had a hint of spice to them which I welcomed happily. I ate of them right then and there once I took that first bite. The dressing melted in your mouth. Gravy was rich and savory. Not too much salt like most gravy. Mac and cheese.....you can't trust just anyone's mac and cheese but you sure can trust Lewis's. I initially told the gentleman to leave the cranberry out of the order but he talked me into letting him put on the side and I am so glad he did. This cranberry didn't come out of a can! I couldn't eat the plate all in one sitting but I sure did try! So I basically got two meals for less than $20.00. I would've paid $40 for how unbelievably amazing it was. I believe this place is drive through only as I tried to open the front door and it was locked. There were several people in line at the drive through and for a brief moment I debated on leaving. So glad I didn't! Any time I am in this area I will be stopping by! I can only imagine how good the fried chicken is....good news is I will find out very soon!

So anytime you come here just be prepared to wait... The line is usually wrapped around the building. But usually thats a good sign.... (So Was It?) I meannnn I would say so, the food was pretty good. Everybody has their own interpretation on what soul food is, but I do feel like Lewis's food is close to spot on. The owner Lewis is extremely nice and you can tell he really does cook from the soul. He really takes pride in his food. I would try it if you're in the area.

Delicious delicious delicious. I ordered the fish special with a peach cobbler. OMG so good! The plate comes with two pieces of fish and a mountain of fries. Fish Well seasoned with lettuce, slice of tomato and mayo. The peach cobbler whew if a Big Mama ain't in the kitchen then somebody aunties elbows are! It's like a sweet, buttery and comfort. Def will be going back to try the whole menu!

How have I never been to this restaurant before?! I drive past here all the time and never tried them. A recent TikTok video showed the deliciousness of this place. We visited here on a Sunday. It gets busy so arrive early. I really didn't know what to order but everything smelled so good. We ordered three plates; fried chicken, steak and onions and veggies. Dressing, Mac and cheese, collards, etc. Everything was phenomenal!!!! Loaded plates, great food, great seasoning! Truly a hidden gem on the Southside!

Charged me 11.64 at restaurant. After bank processing the amount was 13.64. I gave him 4.00 cash tip at time of sale. Food wasn't that good. Won't return.

The absolute best soul food in this area!!! I have tried just about everything on the menu from fried fish to peach cobbler and it seasoned to perfection. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Shot over here after reading ordered a double burger. After seeing the owner working, I went ahead and bought a baked chicken meal as well. I must say, Lewis did not disappoint. The burger was home seasoned and tasteful. The peach cobbler was supposed to be my dessert, sadly, my lady tasted it and only left me a corner. I still ate it though, and it was one of the best that I've had from a vendor. My next visit will be very soon.

its Sunday afternoon and i don't want to cook but i do want an ole school dinner. Smothered chicken or smothered turkey with mashed potatoes or rice with lots of good gravy. Dressing and cranberry sauce. Mac and cheese and greens. Just like mama used to make. i was shocked so many soul food places, aren't open on Sunday, but i was thankful that Lewis Little This and Little That were open. Its the small place that you pass by time and time again but when he is open, you can tell by the drive thru line. He was smart to post detailed menus so you have your order together but maybe it was so smart that you end up changing your mind several times. His food is soo good. He makes it all himself. It has to be the best soul food on this part of town. The prices are great and reasonable. He does all the work and you can tell he enjoys it. please go see him so he won't disappear. If you are looking for mom's sunday dinner, drive by here. For a twenty dollar bill or less, you just need a large glass of sweet tea. So after a brief wait in the drive through line, i handed over my money and took a loaded plate home. It was sooooo good, i was transported back to my mom's dinner table. just what i was looking for. If there is a line, wait and that will give you time to figure out what you want to eat. Its so worth it. I had enough for two meals. I will be back again and again.

Good food and not too expensive. Service was good and friendly. Will definitely be back. Drive up order and pick up works well.

Love this spot! Come here to pickup lunch a couple of times a week! They do tend to be a bit busy but it's worth it!!

OMG this peach cobbler is to die for! I pulled in the drive- thru because it was fresh out of the oven. A very generous portion of butter, peaches, crumbles. Just perfect with sweetness, perfect pairing with vanilla bean icecream. The owner Lewis was friendly and provide excellent customer service. I will be back for round two.

Ok this restaurant is starting to become one of my favorite here on the Southside! The owner Lewis has expertise when it comes to his dishes!!! I'm sure it's something on the menu everyone can afford!!! This place really satisfies my tastebuds EVERYTIME

Food was flavorful, fresh, and hot! I ordered the turkey wings, dressing & gravy, collard greens, and macaroni & cheese. The turkey wing dinner on the menu comes with preset sides, so there was an up charge for my selected sides. For dessert, I had red velvet cake...which was good as well

The best in Jonesboro you won't regret it. Good sooo food. You will need a nap afterwards

I got the Turkey wings,green beans,dressing and peach cobbler.Everything was good Turkey wings fell right off the bone.But something was missing with the food.I think it was just missing salt.But, the peach cobbler was amazing.I would go back and try other things off the menu.

Lewis cooks like my grandma. That is not something you find especially in the service industry. His lunch specials start at $5. That was what initially lured me in. Lewis has the best Chicken, potato salad, peach cobbler, red velvet cake, turkey wings...etc. I have never received less than extraordinary service. During these difficult times, Lewis has maintained the integrity of his restaurant.

I have always seen this restaurant but never stopped. I stopped on Sunday 11/29 after not receiving a order I placed for pick up from another chain restaurant. The wait was WORTH it. Lewis was very nice and asked me to definitely come back. The southern touch of adding tomatoes and onions to the collard greens I've only seen from home made meals not a restaurant. The food was delicious and I will definitely go back to try more vegetables especially the beans for my son.

I have enjoyed this restaurant when it was down the street in the Kroger shopping plaza on Tara Blvd years ago. Now Still eating Lewis's food at bigger location and he never disappoints. Real meal deal, wings, sandwiches, salmon croquettes, pork chop, desserts and kool aid everything is Awesome! Cook to order and container can't close being so stuffed. Lol. I don't mind the 30-40 minute drive nor the wait while food being prepared. Reasonable prices, clean restroom and home cook food. Love u Lewis!!! Lady J

owner needs a "attitude adjustment!" charges xtra for bread, which should be included with the meal! And he charges xtra if u pick your own 2 sides with the meal & charge you $2 xtra if u use a debit or credit card! He complains if u do not have the money together already, & if u want collard greens as 1 of your sides in a veggie plate. Plus, he complains if u order a fried chicken sandwich & fries because he has to go back & fry it & wait on it. He works by himself only, & he wants you to order food that is already cooked & not cook to order, so he can get to the next customer fast! Also, he only has drive up & order with no intercom! u waste gas in your car because u are not allowed to come in to place or wait or pick up your order! lewis, the owner wants everything convenient for him & not the customer & he expects u to tip him, when he is the owner & everything is going to him & his business! 1 more thing, he garnishes your meal with a big chunk of tomato & big,raw onion rings instead of chopping it up professionally! decorating or garnishing a meal is not huge chunks of vegetables on your plate! When u Order his Baked or Smothered Chicken & Choose Rice N Gravy as a Side, Instead of Putting Chicken Gravy over the Rice, he Uses Beef Gravy over the Rice! Lewis Needs a Consultant on How to Run a Business/Restaurant Professionally & Ethically! it's about Serving the Customer Not Him!!!

I pass this restaurant 3 times a day. It wasn't until after a TikTok review that this place a hidden GEM! So I stopped by after work got I the drive- thru line. I spoke with the owner ordered my food and waited. Minutes later I got my blessing. This food was cooked with passion and love. I will definitely be back to get some fried chicken and that peach cobbler! I am happy I found this soul food love gem!

OMG!! I have been a fan of Lewis's since he was in front of the Kroger on Tara. I just introduced his food to my daughter & at the FIRST bite she fell in love too! I'm so happy he's still open & thriving by the long waiting line.. It's SO worth the wait! He even prepared my husbands to go order before the rest of the family so he could get to work on time. Now THAT'S customer service! Thank you Lewis!!

This spot is on point. Our soul food place in Lake Harben closed several years ago, therefore, the only place we could find excellent food was This is It or church. If we had known about him in front of Kroger we would have been there sooner! I am hoping the mask situation was an accident on his part because he has an amazing attitude and talent.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My grandmother and my siblings came all the way from Newnan because we heard such good reviews from this place. The food was so fresh and it just tasted really good. Will be coming again?!!!

Update: so I did return 2 more times And was very disappointed which is why I took off one star. My 2nd time there I ordered collard greens, mac and cheese, and bbq chicken...AWFUL! I actually got sick and vomited afterwards. The greens came with a huge piece of onion and some tomato on it..Wtf?? I hate onion and tomato and wasn't sure why that was placed in my box. And although I tossed them out my food still had an onion taste and smell to it. The bbq chicken was baked chicken that he slathered in bbq sauce when I ordered it. The sauce wasn't baked on..it was just poured on. Which made it spill over into my mac and cheese. I was actually angry and vowed to never go back. However I was passing by and had a taste for some wings. The lemon pepper wings were amazing before so I ordered them again. To my disappointment..they were nasty,hard, and overcooked and didn't taste fresh. It seems they were cooked days prior and reheated several times. So that's it..for real this time!! He is a nice man and I wanted to support his business but I just can't. There's usually a long wait because it seems that he works all alone and its not worth the wait to get food that grosses me out.
