12 Great Mother’s Day Brunches and Celebrations in Dallas

"For the mom who is a girly girl: hit up Lexy’s in Trinity Groves and make sure to grab a bottle of Moet from the vending machine. Point mom towards the ricotta pancakes, lobster crab cake and eggs Benedict, or the beignets for a popping celebration. Reservations can be made online." - Courtney E. Smith

Lexy’s Review - West Dallas - Dallas - The Infatuation

"Of all the places that opened in Dallas in 2022, Lexy’s—the newest American restaurant from the owners of the nearby —has the most memorable (and familiar) branding: there’s a chunky, cursive logo, a blue-and-pink color scheme, feather chandeliers, and a vending machine in front of a floor-to-ceiling flower wall that sells $25 bottles of Moet. Lexy’s isn’t exclusively a brunch spot, but it’s certainly primed for it. Order the brisket-stuffed avocado croquettes, lobster rolls, and the CBD-infused High Tea, which comes with tequila and is served in a teapot that bellows out smoke streams of dried ice." - Lee Escobedo

Lexy's in Dallas's Trinity Groves Opens in August - Eater Dallas

"Trinity Groves will open a new restaurant called Lexy's on August 15. Lexy's will serve 'local new American,' according to a press release, envisioned by Director of Culinary Aubrey Murphy, who previously worked at Knife Steakhouse under Michelin Star Chef John Tesar, and husband and wife restaurateurs Julian and Alexa Rodarte. The restaurant is named after Alexa, who goes by Lexy." - Courtney E. Smith

Such a cute place! We got the artichoke dip w shrimp and it was soo good! It came with pita bread. I ordered the herb crusted salmon with a side of asparagus. The salmon was really good and flavorful, none of that strong fishy salmon smell. It doesn’t come with a side but I wanted one so I ordered the asparagus, they were good. One friend ordered fried rice w fried shrimp, it was really good too. Another friend ordered a flatbread and the other friend ordered the half chicken with potatoes. The food was delicious and had good amount of flavor. We also ordered drinks. I ordered the palomino, it wasn’t a strong drink but it was good. Only thing I didn’t like is that it had too much ice. I also ordered the butterfly pea sangria and it looked better than it tasted, too sour and not strong enough. Total for my entree, side, and two drinks was $60.

Overall service was great and so was the atmosphere. Food was pretty good too. The meatballs were amazing! The only thing I didn’t enjoy was that the asparagus was and tasted burnt. Other than that we had a good experience and will be coming back!

Cute, feminine with lots of photo opportunities! Lexy's definitely gives girlie-girl vibes! Love the floral petals, feather chandeliers and various shades of pink throughout the decor. I've visited twice, both for birthday brunch celebrations! The food will not disappoint but you really can't go wrong with a brunch menu. The reason I didn't give five stars is due to the automatic service fee/gratuity. I ended up giving an additional $20 tip not realizing it was already included. The servers should be upfront about this and allow patrons to decide whether to include anything additional.

For my final dinner in Dallas, I decided to go to Lexy’s! I accepted a job in Seattle post graduation. We had an amazing time! The food was great and the service was amazing! We ordered the tomahawk meal and several sides! The food was so delicious and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our server was super informative and attentive. The manager came out to talk to us and even brought us our food! After we eating, the server brought out complimentary beignets and a sign that said “Much success in Seattle”! Their team is so thoughtful and caring! It made my whole night! My friend and I typically go to nice restaurants around Dallas, and we both agreed that this was some of the best service we have ever received! They were attentive, informative, and provided amazing food! I would 100% recommend!

The food wasn't bad at all when it came to taste but pricy for what you get. Nothing really stands out in terms of food being great, it'll fill your belly and be alright. Truffle burger (was pretty dry) with fries, lobster flatbread, shrimp pasta dish, several appetizers, and a few cocktails later, we still had a good time as a group. Really this place is for going out on a weekend night with friends for a special occasion or as a nice date night. The service was exceptional though, that brought up the rating. We had better service here than some fancy steakhouses like Perry's. Server was attentive, information, and friendly. Only reason it made it worth it. Anyway, still worth a try.

I love it here! So pretty and the food is good! I was a little skeptical at first, because many of these aesthetically pleasing restaurants are turning out to have mid food, but not Lexy’s. We had the meatballs and a yummy pasta (forgot the name, but it has the same sauce as the meatballs), and it was delicious. The beignets were also delectable, light, and fluffy. I would definitely return!

Google
I would rate more like 3.5/4 but I rounded up because it was overall a more positive experience. If you’re not as concerned with the taste of the food but more so looking for a girly spot to have a great time out in the city/ brunch, this place is it. You won’t be able to get reservations at a lot of the other popular spots and when my friends and I went at Sunday around 11:40 it was not packed at all and there was plenty of seating. I got the popular spicy rigatoni pasta with chicken and the chicken was yellow colored with a spice like turmeric which was an interesting choice. I wasn’t the biggest fan but I could still put it down. Rate: 4.5/10 My friends got other brunch items and were satisfied with what they got but I didn’t try them so I can’t speak to it directly. I got the spiked mimosa drink which had elderberry syrup. Delicious once I had more syrup! Service was fine- just not that parties of 6 or more will be automatically charged 20% tip which I didn’t mind at all because that’s what I would’ve done anyway! The hostess at the front was especially nice as she helped to take pictures of myself and my group. After the dish and drink and tip I spent just over 50$. Which for the experience was okay but I wouldn’t have normally wanted to pay that much for a pasta that I didn’t love. Overall, I still had a fun time with my friends and it was worth it getting to meet up at such a cute place.

If photos are your thing, Lexy’s offers a lovely ambiance BUT if it’s a delectable meal then keep your fingers crossed. The service was good, the food not so much. The steak tacos, chicken and dumplings, rigatoni and beignets were ALL a miss. The steak was tough and the cheese crusted tacos that cupped the steak was soggy. As for the chicken and dumplings..lots of veggies with little chicken and the dumplings were more like soggy croutons. The rigatoni offered up a sauce that was difficult to describe. Now, the beignets, how about doughnut holes…they are in no way like true beignets. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we chose not to express how disappointing the food experience was. The only pleasing meal ordered was the burger and fries. Not enough for another visit though. Great location in Trinity Groves with easy access to freeways.
