"For years, it’s been something of a Mile High rite of passage to endure the perpetual line at Liang’s Thai Food’s cart on the 16th Street Mall for a taste of its curries, stirfries, and noodles. But now, that time can be just as well spent making the drive to Liang’s year-old brick-and-mortar in Broomfield, where the slightly expanded menu includes crispy-edged chicken dumplings, classic papaya salad, boat noodle soup, and homemade coconut ice cream. The icing on the cake — or in this case the mango on the sticky rice — is that it’s open for dinner as well as lunch." - Eater Staff

I’ve been a long time customer at Jay’s Liang Thai Food cart on 16th street. I remember the first time I went there in 2012 and my mind being blown by how delicious the food was. I’m happy to report that the brick and mortar location in Broomfield is just as good! I just came back from Thailand not too long ago and it’s been a great blessing but also a curse; I had a lot of amazing Thai food but now everything I’ve tried here just obviously doesn’t compare. Out of all the Thai places in Colorado, Liang’s comes closest to the real deal. The Thai Basil always hits the spot with such rich flavors and papaya salad is the same. Make sure to keep in mind that the Thai spice levels are true here (if you aren’t good at handling spice, definitely don’t go above a 3 on the 1-5 scale). The service here was great as well. Our server was very attentive and made sure our water cups were never empty. Food came out at a reasonable time given how fresh everything tasted. The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side and it can get loud with all the conversation going on but the food will make you forget your surroundings. I am about to head there now to get my Thai food fix!

Google
Food was actually pretty decent!the cashew chicken was very tasty! My partner ordered the drunken noodles and seemed to enjoy it. Good coconut juice as well. Small restaurant with nostalgic rock music.

Angie Tran

Google
The best authentic Thai noodle soup in Colorado that I've tried. Every dish was fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. I don't think you can go wrong here with whatever you order from their simple menu. This small restaurant also seems to be pretty busy, particularly with online orders, which makes me happy that this is a known spot. A quick tip: we ordered spice level 3, and it turned out to be much spicier than what we've had at other Thai places, so if you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend choosing a spice level between 0-2, with 5 being the spiciest.

Google
This remains my favorite Thai restaurant in the Denver metro area and possibly anywhere. The Panang Curry is divine to me, along with everything honestly. Glad to see this location is doing so well after visiting the stand downtown many times.

Patrick Pace

Google
Love how friendly everyone is, letting me use my poor Thai to greet and order these delicious dishes. Today Cashew Rice Plate with beef. This is authentic style, so ordering Thai Hot is going out on a limb! The tingle in my lips and the sniffles confirm it's perfect! Do yourself a favor and come get a delicious meal! They are Uber Eats and Door Dash too!

Rumi Arakawa

Google
I googled Thai lunch and this place came up, so we tried first time. When we opened the door, no one comes for a couple minutes. And inside the restaurant doesn’t have any Thai feeling decoration. But I LOVED my Tom yum noodle soup! So is papaya salad! Pad Thai was a little sweet for my liking but I would definitely come back for the Tom yum noodle soup!

Kenny Silver

Google
Absolute gem 💎 have been looking for a legit Tom Yum for a while and found it here, perfect tang and spice! Was recommended the Drunken Noodles and again, excellent. The noodles had that chew and the flavors were fresh and complex. The service was also great, kind, patient and attentive. This place is a must!

Jessica B

Google
First time coming here. Roomie got the Drunken noodles with chicken at a medium level and I got the chicken Pad Thai at Thai hot and our meals were perfect!! Personally the Thai hot spice was great. Super spicy, made me sweat and feel it in my face, and that's what I want from my spicy food. Also the service was awesome. The woman that helped me was nice and polite. It's a small Thai restaurant so we all know that's were the best food comes from!

Yelp
4.5/5 I used to be a regular at the 16th Street Mall location and was so excited to learn about this other new location! We got pad Thai with chicken, pad basil chicken, a a spring roll for take out. The spring roll was fresh and the peanut dipping sauce was perfection. The pad Thai was solid as well and was not overly sweet. The pad basil was super salty and while the flavor was really good, we weren't quite able to enjoy it due to the saltiness. Spice levels seemed to be spot on. Will definitely give Liang's another shot!

Amber M.

Yelp
Thai food that packs flavor and will fill you up at a reasonable price. I've been here three times and have dined in each time - service has always been quick and friendly. We've enjoyed the pad thai, shrimp green curry, and boat noodle soup (which my dining partner loved). Spice level ranges from 0-5 and 2 is perfect for us, just a little heat so you know it's there. The restaurant interior is no-frills and unassuming. It's also somewhat tucked away- don't let this deter you!

Nan H.

Yelp
Doood was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful! Will definitely return to try more menu items

Marika J.

Yelp
Great food! Authentic Thai! Green Curry and drunken noodles were so delicious! Great listing on Yelp helped us to find it. Great Lille restaurant!

Erika P.

Yelp
There's truly nothing like straight from the source. We get takeout here at least once a week and love it, but this time we dined in and were not disappointed. Fresh out the kitchen is so much better than waiting till your home. The service and food prep is really quick too. So instead of waiting 30 minutes for DoorDash, drive over and eat in. It'll only take 15 minutes to scarf down this delicious Thai food so save some time and delivery money.

Steven W.

Yelp
I have been to Liang's a few times now and wanted to share my thoughts on their tasty Thai food. The seating area is smaller but the service is on point and is always nice. I have had their Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and a few other noodle dishes and all have been quality eats. I tend to eat less spicy these days so I ask for low to medium-ish and that is just right for me on each of the dishes I have tried. As far as soups go ( I am not a big fan of soups) their Tom Kha soup is friggin delicious. All in All you really can't go wrong with any of their food unless you don't try it! Enjoy :)

Yelp
I think this may have been an old coffee ahop. It seems like an odd place for a Thai restaurant but you shouldn't let that deter you. It's worth it. Go now and read the rest of this review later. When you walk in, it's not what you would expect from a Thai restaurant in America. The walls are pretty bare and there are no pictures of elephants, no food on the walls, etc. it's pretty bare bones. The max capacity is 34 indoors, and there were maybe 10 tables. I ordered the spicy (level 4 of 5) boat noodle soup and a Thai iced coffee. Both were very very good. I was very hungry so that may also have contributed to it. My waitress was kind and helpful and even though she appeared to be the only wait staff, she handled the room well. There was a steady stream of people coming and going, which is a good sign. The ice coffee was great and hit the spot. It was very sweet as you'd expect and how it should be. The boat noodle soup was just exactly what I needed and was a good portion size. There was a nice serving of beef and the flavor was excellent. The spice level was just right. You know when you sweat just a little bit? Yeah that level. Adjust your spice level from there, but also know I have a high spice tolerance. I'd one hundred percent come here again if I was in the neighborhood. It's a little off the beaten path, but also a place to make a trip to eat at. It was so good that I told my wife about it and she asked me to go back and order some Tom Yum to go, so I got a chicken one and a tofu one. Those were both great as well!

Juliana L.

Yelp
Having just started a job in Broomfield, I have been on the hunt for lunch places that are easy, close-by, and most importantly tasty! Liang's has topped my list so far and I don't expect that to change. I would even recommend it if you don't live or work anywhere near Broomfield. It's THAT good. Thus far, I have tried the pad see ew, pad gra pow, pad thai, and crab rangoons. I'm oftentimes picky with my pad see ew, but I found Liang's to be one of the best pad see ews that I have had in a long time. The noodles were the perfect chewy texture and there was ample of the brown savory sauce. The other dishes were excellent as well. I was happy that the crab rangoons were lighter than typical rangoons. In general, I found the food to be indulgent without feeling too heavy. For me, that makes for a satisfying lunch break.

Alice Z.

Yelp
Super good Thai food! Location and ambiance are unassuming but if you like delicious and authentic Thai - this is a great stop! We tried pad see ew and pad Thai- both delicious. Thai iced tea was perfect for a hot day too.

Justin T.

Yelp
This is my favorite Thai place so far! It's not an ambiance spot it has limited indoor & outdoor seating (Maybe 10 tables of 4 total). However if you're a foodie looking for a new Thai spot that is delicious than you should try this place. Keep in mind that their spice/hot scale (From 1-5) is hotter than most places, I like the heat personally but be careful this place packs a serious punch. If you don't like hot then consider ordering a 0 on their scale. I got the beef boat noodles and I absolutely loved it. I will come back from time to time just for that. Their other dishes look equally as good. The lady that serves you is nice and she will check on you occasionally to make sure you're happy. Very recommended for foodies. Happy eating!

Jason S.

Yelp
Came here last night and I was very pleasantly surprised. Very small place with very limited seating. Lady working the front counter and waitressing was awesome. Walked up to the counter and ordered my food. I ordered the chicken pad thai and yellow chicken curry. It was a little bit of a wait but sat down and caught up on emails. Brought my food back to my apartment to eat joy. It was delicious and perfectly spiced right. Very generous portions. It was enough to enjoy for a 2nd night. I am very happy I found this place! I would for sure recommend and will for sure be back!

Frankie M.

Yelp
I've had Thai food in several different states and this is by far my favorite I've ever tired! Service is amazing and the food is soo delicious you'll come back for more! Always clean! THE BEST drunken noodles & Wontons! Try 'em and tell me I'm lying. Liang's is my go-to spot for Thai and I stand by that!

Steve C.

Yelp
Small, welcoming environment. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Boat Noodle Soup might be the very best soup I have ever had. The Pad Thai was so flavorful and had the right amount of sauce. So many times, the sauce is skimpy and leaves the noodles dry. Will be returning.

Sara T.

Yelp
The inside is clean and nice but, small. There are only 7 tables with 2-4 seats only. I called in a take out order at 6:30 pm and they said it would be ready in 30 minutes. It was ready in 20 minutes and the worker was very nice. The food was delicious and a good portion. My husband and I both got pad Thai, $14 each.

Sarah E.

Yelp
Quite flavorful and on the lighter side. This is based on an uber delivery. Good packaging and timely. Their Tom ka ghai is less creamy than what I'm used to but the taste is perfectly balanced with sweet and sour and fragrant lemongrass. The papaya salad was good but I've had better. All in all all a solid thai place and I'll be ordering again.

Elaine S.

Yelp
So pleased for my first visit. Authentic Thai flavors. My friends assured me and I think they were delicious. I'll always dine in early and order a sticky rice for dessert to go at Liang's!

Danielle L.

Yelp
Thai boat noodles were delicious. Kinda reminds me of a Thai version of pho. Initially, I was apprehensive to it because I'm snotty when it comes to soup. We put lime in it (per our friend's recommendation) and the acid in the soup made it taste pretty tasty. I would come back again for this.

Tammy L.

Yelp
Incredible, fresh and the service is exceptional! Very clean! You can dine in or eat out on the patio. Definitely a 5 Star!

M A.

Yelp
The food is always fresh, the veggies are always crisp, and the crab cheese wontons are some of the best I've ever had!

Amanda O.

Yelp
Every time we visit Denver, the first thing we do is run to Liang's kiosk on 16th street, so when we saw that he opened up a restaurant we decided to make the trip to Broomfield to experience it and were not disappointed! The food is as amazing as the kiosk and service was fantastic! This trip we fell in love with the Panang Curry and might've ordered it 3 out of the 4 days we were in town! Thanks for always satisfying our cravings, until we visit again, we will be dreaming of this food!

Allen H.

Yelp
I went to Liangs on my Birthday today. My favorite kind of food is Thai and Vietnamese. I didn't think the portions for the price were very fair, my dish was overly seasoned, while my friend's was overly spicy. I'd say the curry was better than my beef and rice, but still nothing above average. Was only approached by wait staff once, and wasn't talked to at all the rest of the transaction. The beef in my dish was also chewy. Asked if they did any complimentary Birthday treats, and was told, no. So after picking this place over about 4 others in the area, paying $45 for 2 small dishes and 3 egg rolls, with a tip, I won't be returning and couldn't reccomend this place to anyone who wants to get good food for a fair price, on top of lackluster service. Don't be fooled by the 4.8 rating, I was.

Adam M.

Yelp
It is generally not a good idea to give a full rating based on one dish. However, I had Panang curry at Liang's Thai Food on Monday, and I can't stop thinking about it. The restaurant is a no-frills, clean place, with a no-frills menu. There is limited seating in the restaurant, but it is basically a take-out joint. My server was kind, attentive, and efficient. For those of you who remember, think Thai Street Food on Montview (I still mourn that place); the curry is very similar. Unfortunately, Liang's Thai Food is not centrally located and, for me, will be a destination location, as I have no other reason to ever bee in Broomfield. So, based on my delightful experience with Liang's Panang curry, which was layered in superb flavor, stocked with an abundance of veggies and meat, and reasonably priced, I am driven to give a 5 star rating.

Zak S.

Yelp
Found this remote location and the young couple that own this place are really nice and serve incredible food We have been back since our original visit and everything we have tried is really good. One of the best Thai restaurants who have been to.

Shin M.

Yelp
Very small hole in the wall restaurant with (cheap) modern decor. Nice service. The vegetarian egg rolls (3 for $6) were very small- half the size of normal egg rolls but were very tasty especially with the sauce. The beef pad Thai ($15) was ok. It was far too sweet for my friend and my taste but overall not bad. I would have liked it a lot if it wasn't so sweet. My vegetarian friend enjoyed the tofu panang curry a lot.

Leah A.

Yelp
We have come in and done take out and enjoyed both. The food is very flavorful and packs a great punch with the spice level (heat level is per preference). They are extremely fast for both dine in and takeout as well. Which is always appreciated especially when we are starving! Our favorite to get is the Tom kha. Loved their panang curry. Pad Thai is good, but I suggest only having for dine-in as it got dry when we had it for takeout. This is a very small and quaint restaurant and is best for a quick meal in and out. The owner is very friendly.

steve a.

Yelp
Did take out, and both noodle dishes one of best . Be forwarned. Spice level 1-5 and I got 1 as I was told that was mild by person on phone who took my order. For me a1 was more like a 3. Next time I will ask for 1/2!!

Natalie A.

Yelp
Such a great Thai restaurant! The staff is so kind and the food is 10/10. Favorites include Panang curry, fried rice, Drunken Noodle, and the Boat Noodle soup. Glad to have this gem of a restaurant in our neighborhood!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
This was the best Thai food we have ever had. We are already planning our next trip. Nice people who own it or work there!

Judy S.

Yelp
We found this place on Yelp while visiting the Boulder area. And so glad we did. It's a tiny place, I think about 6 or 7 tables. If there's a line, it's worth the wait, I promise. Kanika was so sweet and attentive, she made our meal even more enjoyable. We loved the flavors of the green papaya salad. And the fragrant roasted peanuts was on point. So good. Perfect crunch! The soup was so smooth with just the right amount of coconut cream. The drunken noodles was good but a tad on the sweet side which we aren't used to. Don't think we'd order that again, but we were so happy with the rest of our meal. My GF enjoyed her Thai tea, and we were so full that we had to take out sticky rice and mango home, but we haven't tried it yet but overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Liang's!! Bonus is the restaurant is clean and Kanika (I hope I'm spelling her name right) is a joy!! We'll def be back whenever we're in the area!

Kasia K.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Good portion sizes and made quick to order. Green curry with shrimp is one of my favorites here. I highly recommend Liang's.

Gene R.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 21 folks and they were super accommodating! We kind of took over the entire restaurant! The food was tasty and they were able to get our food out really quickly. Food was 4/5 but service was 5/5!!

Amy H.

Yelp
New Thai place in my neighborhood! Very simple menu, which I think is a good thing. Very friendly service. Ordered take out on a Sunday afternoon and only took 15mins. Drunken Noodle was delicious but a little on the oily side. Fresh spring rolls were good but nothing outstanding. Convenient location so I'll probably try some other items next time for take out, ambiance wasn't great but it's clean. I think the building used to be some sort of fast food place with a drive through. Would be cool if they opened the drive through for take out orders!

Theara I.

Yelp
Excellent Authentic Thai food ! Coming from California this one hits close to home authentic flavors best boat noodles in Colorado! Curry was also delicious ! Hit all the flavor notes! Highly recommended !

Jiraphan S.

Yelp
Home made on the table. Everything tastes like Thai steer food, which is the best and hard to find.

Esmeralda V.

Yelp
Where do I start...Oh yes roadtrip from California!!!! First stop COLORADO...Surprise the BEST Original Thai restaurant I have ever been...Everything freshly made...I order the Pad See Ewe...And I fell in love!!!! Then I tried the Shrimp Egg roll and lord have mercy...Just delicious...And let the Service just EXCELLENT...

Peter P.

Yelp
Great no descript place with wonderful food and great service. I highly recommend this place.

Mark L.

Yelp
Great spot! The food is so good! Local family place, always quick and fresh. Highly recommend!

Kevin R.

Yelp
Amazing Thai food. I got the Drunken Noodle. Fresh veggies and quality protein. My wife got the Pad Thai which she quite enjoyed.

Stefanie F.

Yelp
I came here based on the other reviews. I love Thai food and have eaten it in many restaurants and many states. On the positive, staff was friendly. I ordered the Pad Se Ewe with beef and the Panang Curry with chicken. I was asked for a spice level from 1-10 on the Pad Se Ewe. Never had that happen before as the dish is not meant to be spicy. So, I said zero, not spicy. What I got was oddly sweet and a spice level 5. Taste was unpleasant and part tasted like a bottle of black pepper had been poured on it.. The Panang Curry, I ordered 5. I eat spicy all the time and I generally like spice from a 4-7. The spice level 5 was more like a 9, rendering the dish inedible. I think the dish would have been ok and maybe even good at a normal 5 spice level. Completely disappointed.

Sarah B.

Yelp
The atmosphere is lacking (grey walls, standard diner-y 4 tops). It feels like it could very easily be a counter service place, but the server was really knowledgeable and explained how their spice levels work. Great for us--I like it spicy and my friend likes it mild. Food was a bit oily, but honestly was so tasty I didn't care.

Mike H.

Yelp
Moved to the area a few months ago and have been slowly trying out local restaurants. We got the Pad See Ewe with chicken and the Drunken Noodle with Tofu to go. WOW! The food was SO good. This place makes our old go-to Thai spot seem mediocre at best. We will definitely be back to try more dishes!

Karan G.

Yelp
Small place, but amazing food. We ordered just the pad see ew and green curry--both were really great! A lot of places make a bland pad see ew, but this one was super flavorful--some of the best I've had. Good quantity and great service too!

Christopher L.

Yelp
I have been obsessed with Liang's since first trying their food at the cart in downtown Denver back in 2016. I am so happy they have made it to brick and mortar; there is not a more deserving restaurant. Please try the pad thai; it is miles better than anything else I've ever had. It's ruined other thai restaurants for me, in a way. liang and Jaepop must have a family secret to their recipe. Whatever it is, it's built a loyal following of believers and any time I am back in Colorado from california, you bet I am going to get Liang's at least twice.

Steve F.

Yelp
Excellent Larb Chicken & Drunken Shrimp Noodles. Iced Thai coffee top notch, too. Server/owners were very congenial & kind.

Jing G.

Yelp
The best Thai food restaurant in Colorado!!!! Their food is authentic Thai food. I love it

Jessica L.

Yelp
Best Thai food in the area. Everything we've ordered has been delicious, and the quality is consistent.

B A.

Yelp
The environment is rather spartan and humble with delightful 70s soft rock lightly playing in the background (i.e., think Bee Gees galore). We like that about this place. We also enjoyed how welcoming and hospitable the folks working here were. This is a friends and family run operation. The food is very good. We sampled the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Double the protein if your budget allows. We wish they'd just double the protein and raise the prices as the protein portions were skimpy and how the meat was cut reflected that. This would make these dishes easier to consume and more satisfying when pairing with the noodles and vegetables. Be aware they may have some sewer issues emanating from the bathroom if you decide to eat there. We didn't want to believe that it was an issue because we liked this place so much. We live in Denver but wouldn't hesitate to stop back in when in the area. PRO TIP: If paying by credit card, you have to set up Apple Pay here. We prefer not to store credit card information on our phones so we paid in cash. Cash is king if you want to stop this fee nonsense for paying with money you have.

Robyn N.

Yelp
I've tried a few Thai places near Interlocken, and this is my favorite in the area. Tasty Panang tofu, ansd love the crab rangoons as well. Well worth a try.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
This is the best Thai we have had in the entire Denver area. The menu is small, but I appreciate that. The curries are delicious, the spring rolls and peanut sauce perfect, and the service is the best. We will definitely be back.
