I visited this bakery to try the almond croissant bar, which presented a unique, dense, not-too-sweet, and moist texture reminiscent of marzipan. The chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies were enjoyable, though they weren’t remarkable. The owner was welcoming and friendly, adding a positive touch to the experience.

I cannot say enough good things about Liberty. We ordered our wedding cake back in 2018 and have been going back for anniversary cakes every year since! They gave us the perfect instructions to freeze the top tier of our wedding cake and it tasted just as fresh on our first anniversary! You cannot go wrong with any of their cake or icing flavors. We’ve tried everything from the traditional southern pound cake, to chocolate and caramel, to funfetti. Nothing is overly sweet. Perfect texture, consistency, and design every time. Alison and Kim are a pleasure to do business with and are so fun! My husband and I look forward to a new cake each year!

Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Alison at Liberty Baking Co. She nailed my vision for the 3-tier cake and got the colors and design just right! The best part, though, was how delicious it was. We had two flavors: Strawberry pound cake with fresh strawberries, and Almond pound cake with bourbon salted caramel. Both flavors were to die for! I’m still dreaming about that cake, and so are our guests. Oh, and Alison and her team made macarons as our gluten-free dessert option. They were also gorgeous and delicious! If you want a cake that looks incredible and tastes even better, I can't recommend Liberty Baking Co. enough!

After years of eating other delicious treats from Liberty, we had them make our wedding cake for last week. They were so great to work with and really helped us develop a vision for our cake. Delivery was smooth and catering was easily able to follow the cutting directions. The cake turned out even more beautiful than we could have hoped and was, of course, super delicious (we did lemon raspberry after trying the cake tasting box - highly recommend!)

Liberty made the wedding cake for our wedding! It was DELICIOUS, GORGEOUS and complimented by all our guests!! Liberty has so many awesome cake flavors, it was hard to choose one, but the chocolate-chocolate combo we chose was perfectly rich with a lovely tartness running through from the fresh strawberries. Make sure to book them ASAP for your event as they are super popular!!

We got our three-tier wedding cake from Liberty Baking, and we were absolutely head over heels in love! The whole process of working with Alison and her very professional team was incredibly smooth, from tasting the samples to collaborating on the design to the delivery of the final cake to our venue. So many of our guests raved about how delicious the cake was (ube and coconut cream and red velvet), and the cake design was exactly how I had dreamed it. We are already planning the next event/occasion that will justify a custom cake just so we can have another slice :)

We hired Liberty Baking Co. to do our wedding cake last summer and it was a show stopper! Not only that but it some how tasted better than it looked! We are obsessed with our cake and Alison & Kim were amazing to work with and really brought the cake I was envisioning in my head to life. We are looking forward to ordering our anniversary cake :)

We hired liberty baking for our wedding cake and could not have been happier with the service and cake itself. We come from a picky dessert family and take our cake seriously. In fact it’s my favorite food. I tried a few different bakeries in the area when making the decision and kept leaving disappointed, until we found liberty. they were off to a great start when they allowed us to pick and choose flavors from the two separate tasting boxes so we could try the flavors we wanted at no extra cost. Every sample was incredible. We knew we found the right bakery the hardest part was narrowing down our flavors. Our wedding cake was the biggest hit, all our guests were raving about it. The cake was flavorful, moist, not too sweet and just tastes freaking good. We did two flavors and both the chocolate and vanilla were amazing. You can tell Liberty uses quality ingredients and it makes all the difference. They were very clear and organized from the first call until the big day itself. Alison was so knowledgeable and honest. Alison encouraged to buy less cake than we originally thought we needed and never tried to upsell us. She was in fact correct :) The week before our wedding I noticed a major error and that our wedding date for the event delivery was wrong. I had never caught it until the very end and thanks to liberty’s automatic messages saying we were two weeks out I caught the error. I frantically emailed and texted Alison on a Saturday morning explaining the error and not only did she respond instantly but she was gracious and kind. Alison quickly resolved the problem, assured me it wasn’t the end of the world and saved the days. To make a long story short, if you want freaking delicious cake baked by some lovely people, go to liberty baking. We can’t wish to go back to liberty for all our future celebrations.

We ordered a small cutting cake for our wedding from Liberty's online shop and it worked out perfectly! When I emailed with a question about my order, Liberty's team took it over and handled every detail, including helping us load the cake into our car for transport to the venue, which is outside their delivery range, and above and beyond considering our small order! I have been a fan of Liberty's wedding cakes' beauty for a long time and and am delighted to report that they are as delicious as they look. Would highly recommend.

Flavorless garbage. I ordered a cake tasting to be shipped to me and it was trash in every way. It was shipped a week late with no notice so I couldn't even give it as a gift. I had to email them to see why there was no tracking info and they gave a crap excuse then never responded to my email again. Now on to the cake itself NEVER get it shipped. They did not package it with any dry ice or ice or even put it in a cooler. For what you pay to have it shipped they should have at least protected it! The cakes were literally flavorless. You can't tell the difference between almond and vanilla because both have no flavor. I would never use again. It's overpriced garbage that they package badly. I threw it all away and would never buy again. Beware of them!

I ordered my wedding cake from Liberty Baking Co. for my April 2024 wedding. From the beginning, Alison and her team were incredible and helped me bring my vision to life on our creative call. They were very patient with me and all the changes that needed to made throughout the process - updating my proposal in a timely manner to reflect all the changes each time. They were even kind enough to arrange to deliver the cake for free since they were making a stop at my venue the day before. The cake turned out exactly how I envisioned and everyone raved about how delicious it was and asked me where I ordered it.

I found Liberty Baking Co. via Yelp. The reviews were positive. Very positive. I decided to go ahead and order a BD cake. I contacted Alison (Chef Alison) via email. She responded promptly. I have ordered twice. I picked the cake at her home bakery for my first order (2020). She was so sweet. She bought my cake to the car. My family loved the cake. I told her I would order a cake from her again and I did (2021). They moved to a shared kitchen in Herndon. When I picked up the cake, she was working on another cake. She made a point to say "Hi" to me. They moved to a space in Fairfax. Fairfax is closer to me than Herndon. I will go back and order from them again.

Recommended to us for our daughter's wedding. An amazing array of cakes and icings and flavorings. We tried many of their favorites, and came up with a wonderful selection. The chocolate chip cookies are also out of this world.

So, so good! I got a cake tasting box for a celebration and I'm really glad I did. The flavor combinations of the different cakes and the frostings were delightful. The fruit frostings were fresh and light, and all the cakes were so moist. Highly recommend coming here.

Truly beautiful tall cakes. I've received many compliments and questions about where I got the cake. The yuzu blackberry with vanilla cake tasted incredible. Alison, the chef and owner, was extremely kind and professional throughout the process. I recommend you get your special cake from Liberty Baking Co. It will be worth it.

Chef Alison is the best - AND HER POUND CAKE WEDDING CAKES ARE AMAZING. - gotta do her tastings - listen to what she has suggested to you because she knows her sh*t! VERY responsive through email/text and definitely answered all our questions - HER CAKES ARE DELICIOUS - her prices are reasonable Everyone at our wedding loved the cake, delicious and very tasty! We loved working with Chef Alison, we love the creativity that she brings, her clean wedding cake designs and her amazing palette because her cake flavors are one of a kind! We love you Chef Alison! you rock are socks!!!!

I've ordered 2 boxes from this bakery. 1 was a sample box of her cakes and salted chocolate chip cookies and the other was a Black Lives Matter shortbread cookies box for the Bakers Against Racism campaign. All the desserts were amazing! Personally I prefer cookies over cakes, so I naturally prefer the cookies more, but those were amazing too. If you are looking to support a local bakery for your cake/dessert needs I highly recommend you consider Liberty Baking Co. You will not be disappointed.

Working with Alison on our wedding cake was hands down one of the best parts of wedding planning! Of all the vendors we worked with, Alison's professionalism, patience, attention to detail, customization options, and responsiveness as we developed our proposal with her really stood out. And of course the cake turned out both absolutely gorgeous and absolutely delicious, as does everything that she graces her spatula with!

The cake they made for my sisters bridal shower was so beautiful several people asked if it was fake. And it tasted as good as it looked!!

This was the most looked forward to part of the wedding planning process (for us) and Alison did not disappoint. We met up with her for our cake tasting & just wow. This girl is GOOD!! We had our son's 5 birthday party as wolverine theme. We looked everywhere for wolverine theme cake but since it's not popular at the moment could not find anything. Though after talking to Alison and giving her artistic freedom we had the best wolverine cake ever! It was the best cake ever I have had since my wedding. Believe me I am super picky on taste and design. I loved her new caramel drip cake it tastes like if it was like toffee from London. I had a "ratatouille" moment like the one from the Disney movie, it reminded me of the toffee I ate growing up as a child with my grandma. I am highly recommending her to everyone.

Lucky enough to have Liberty Baking make my wedding cake and wedding favor cookies. Alison did an amazing job turning my somewhat vague ideas into beautiful pieces of art. I can't say enough positive things about the experience and have used her for numerous smaller projects since my wedding. Also the cake tasting is INSANE.
