Best Restaurants in Houston’s Memorial Area | Eater Houston

"This popular seafood destination has a lively location on San Felipe in River Oaks, but its Memorial counterpart is worth visiting too. In addition to a selection of East Coast and Gulf Coast oysters, a sushi menu, and decadences like Texas redfish on the half-shell, the location tucked quietly off of the interstate at Bunker Hill boasts live music from local artists every Friday and Saturday evenings." - Marcy de Luna

"With two locations in Houston, Liberty is a perfect place to stop in for comforting seafood dishes and plenty of plates to share, including oysters, fried buttermilk lobster bites, and steamed mussels. "Indulge in the hottest espresso martini around town at the Memorial and River Oaks locations of this seafood restaurant. From the service to the appetizers to the main course and the dessert, everything thing was absolutely amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny! Derrick was our waiter and he was terrific. If you want one of the best all around meals go to Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette in River Oaks!!!

I had an outstanding experience thanks to Joshua, who was an amazing server and truly went above and beyond. He had fantastic recommendations for every course and paired each dish with lovely wine selections — we trusted all his choices and were not disappointed. For dessert, don’t miss the white chocolate raspberry bread pudding: warm, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Ask for Joshua — his knowledge and genuine care transformed our evening into something special. Highly recommended!

The food is excellent. Service and atmosphere wonderful. Javier was our server and he is fantastic!!! He also got us a special slice of chocolate cake for my Dad's 88th Birthday. What a wonderful place to eat!!

Google
Food very good . Party of 7. Everyone enjoyed their food. Various selections. GULF OYSTERS were excellent, as were the crab balls and seafood plate. My meal Orecchiette with Tuscan kale was delicious but was only warm. Could have been hotter. Very good deserts. Very good service.

This was our first time at this particular location. I'll start with the food. It was well presented but fell short of flavor. We were all underwhelmed. The clams and otjer seafood in my pasta was the highlight. The pasta itself was bland, and the sauce packed zero punch. Our waiter was nice and personable, but you could feel that he felt rushed every time he came over. The atmosphere was the highlight. Vibrant. A little loud but not unbearable. There was live music, which was nice. We celebrate a family member's birthday, and a good time was had. Wine selection was diverse enough. Not sure the food is worth the price, honestly, but the vibe and service are good. Excellent location to other shops and I10 access. Easy parking in the lot.

Love the vibe and aesthetic of the Oysterette, with the strong coastal threads that connect the variety of parts of the menu. I like their unique red sauce w the oysters…little bit of ribhouse twist to it? Grilled fish selects have been my jam here for sure…prepared so spot on. The Liberty vodka makes for a great cocktail w bubbles to get started…the service has always been friendly and helpful, but sometimes slow at times. The elevated price point is aligned w the quality of their ingredients, would just like to see the consistency of the service to the table be on equal terms more consistently.

Google
Really great seafood selection and a wide variety of dishes on the menu. Everything we had was well prepared, fresh and flavorful. We highly recommend the raw oysters, deviled eggs, lobster balls, tuna nicoise. Their cocktail menu was also very original.

Came here for lunch with family, and loved the clean and beautiful restaurant interior. We were seated promptly. I had the Surf & Turf but, I changed the cheeseburger to a truffle burger (additional $3). I asked for medium rare but got medium, but not a big deal. I also couldn’t get much truffle taste from the burger. However, the grilled lobster was delicious. The French fries, though a side, were crispy on the outside while soft on the inside. My family enjoyed their meals too. The temperature requested for the petite filet mignon was medium-rare but, a small portion of the steak was rare. The kids’ chicken and strips were very crispy, and the kids loved their food. The restaurant has outdoor seating, and there are plenty of parking spots available.

Yelp
Amazing food and service as always. Booking reservations are always easy, except it depends on who the host is. For special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, I would assume the host would let the server know. My very first time here (many many years ago), I put a note that a birthday boy has a tree nut allergy AND TO GIVE ME THE BILL AT THE END and my server knew it and even brought out a birthday dessert at the end. Ever since then, I've always like to dine here since they actually paid attention to my notes. For the past year or so, looks like they haven't so I'm sure it's the host or the manager of the night wanting everything to come out fast to kick out their customers on time. It's perfectly fine if they don't offer a free birthday dessert for the birthday boy/girl anymore but adding a candle and/or happy birthday on the plate would have made it extra special, before bringing it out. Anywho, the importance of this review, the food. Shrimp & colossal crab scampi has always been my favorite here. Perfectly seasoned, shrimped deveined and lots of pasta for the price you pay. Steamed mussels is always a must for me when I dine here. Oysters are a hit and miss. Usually my favorite are the East coasts but recently (as in about a week ago), it tasted exactly the same as gulf coast and same size... hopefully they didn't mess it up because one of the oyster shell they brought out was missing an oyster. Lobster bisque are always deliciously creamy with real lobster meats. Linguine Pescatore is another fine choice if you like mussels and scallops in red sauce. Steaks are usually spot on how you would want it. Green beans and mashed potatoes (with lobster) are my go to side dishes to share. Brussels sprouts is good while dining in but can be quite oily for take home. Mac n cheese with lobster for my days when I'm feeling cheesy. Desserts will vary as it changes just a tad and since I have been dining here for years, I can only recommend their white chocolate raspberry bread pudding. Key lime pie is not bad either to share. Adequate parking spaces so not to worry your pretty little face. Live musics on Fridays. I personally like this location over the River Oak location, especially when there's live music and just bring the vibe of dining out special and fun.

Yelp
The food was amazing, best deviled eggs I've ever had! The shrimp and artichoke dip with crabmeat was also really good (was the special of the evening). The wait staff was amazing and very attentive. They had great recommendations since we had never been here. There was a live band, but it wasn't obnoxiously loud and we sat right next to him which was nice. Usually I'm not a fan of live bands due to how loud they can be but it was perfect.

Yelp
I've heard SO many good things about this place, but have never been. Glad to say I was able to give them a try and it won't be my last time. Wasn't sure which location to go to, but I decided on this one as it was closer to my hotel. Customer service was great from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was polite, attentive, and even those that weren't my server thanked me for dining in as I was leaving the restaurant. I sat at the bar and took advantage of the happy hour drink specials. Shout out the bartender for making some great French 75s. I wanted seafood and was torn between the lobster stuffed shells and the redfish. He advised that many guest say the stuffed shells are too cheesy, so I went with the redfish. I'm happy I did! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and a LOT of food. I couldn't eat it all. I added brussels sprouts instead and they were SO good. I was a bit disappointed that they had bacon, because I asked the bartender beforehand if there was pork. Either way, they were delicious and I ate most of them lol. Great service, great food and I'll definitely visit again!

Yelp
We enjoyed: Cocktails: - East Meet West: Haku vodka, infused lavender syrup, coconut water, lemon juice - Spicy Secret Rita: Teremana Reposado, agave nectar, lime juice, jalapeno, activate charcoal, black salt - Spring Fever: Veuve de Vernay sparkling rose, elderflower liqueur, fresh strawberries, lemon juice - Oaxaca Flocka Flame: Espolon Blanco tequila, Campari, pineapple, lime juice Dishes: - Lobster Dynamite Roll: avocado, cucumber, sesame, pineapple soy glaze, spicy mayo - Buttermilk Lobster Bites - Tuna and Avocado Martini: cucumber, green accies, jalapeño, green onion, taro chips - Pan-Seared Chilean Seabass - Half Chicken with Lemon Ricotta Ravioli Dessert: - Key Lime Pie ‍ They have live music on apples Friday and Saturday nights. We enjoyed JP Lee's set while there The standouts for me were the tuna and avocado martini (this could be an entire meal for one person), the spring fever cocktail (great if you love bubbly!), and the key lime pie. Highly recommend if you are a seafood lover in Houston!

Yelp
Had a great early birthday lunch with my best friend. Our LK server was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. We ordered the deviled eggs to share. 4 delicious deviled eggs each served on a pickle slice with a fried oyster on top. They were terrific! I had a 1/2 wedge salad before the meal. They call it a Hedge Hill Slab Iceberg. It was great. The 1/2 is plenty for one person. My friend had the gumbo before the meal. I tried it and would definitely order that next time with a salad. We split the lobster roll with taro chips. The presentation was beautiful and the was flavorful. We were both impressed with the taro chips. They are similar to a sweet potato, but lighter in color. LK adds a light oil to them which complimented it perfectly. The atmosphere is very fresh and has a good energy. I like the open concept area. Very good lunch! Thanks for the good experience, LK!

Yelp
Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. A must try! We will return. The truffle chips could be bagged up and sold in stores. Everything was so flavorful.

Yelp
I've visited this restaurant a couple of times, and each experience has been outstanding! Javier, our server, delivered exceptional customer service--he was attentive, helpful, timely, and considerate. The deviled eggs are a must-try--super yummy and light! The Ceviche Campechana cocktail and the Tuna Martini with taro chips make for excellent appetizers. Happy hour here is great, but even during regular hours, every dish is well-prepared, delicious, clean, and served in generous portions. We opted to share our orders, which paired perfectly with our drinks. The Old Fashioned is smoked to perfection, earning a 10/10. The Lemon Drop is consistently excellent, and the Espresso Martini is a delightful dessert drink. The interior is classy, clean, and spacious. The unique open-sided booths create an intimate atmosphere, making you feel like you're in a private room. If you haven't checked this place out yet, I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Very nice place! Great Food! Amazing service! Thank you Richard for the warm hospitality and service. I came here with my gf and her sister to have some lunch. Fried avocado was delicious. My salad was very tasty. 10/10 The lobster bisque was excellent! Beautiful presentation. Order the Bowl! You wont regret it! Very generous. 10/10 Overall 10/10 Experience. Definitely will be back to try the oysters :) Thank you Liberty Kitchen. -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

Yelp
Always a top notch spot to eat with a group or solo. This place is very consistent no matter what location you go to. Amazing chefs that prioritize hospitality and quality.

Yelp
The service here was emasculate! We sat at the bar so we can watch the desert menu come out as opposed to looking at the physical menu. The bar is very upscale and welcoming. I ordered their Liberty Tacos which are fish tacos covered in a house sauce with a side of fries and chopped pico de gayo. They tasted amazing!! Omg! I wanna go back again and try some different items from their menu because everything looked good. The fries were golden brown, perfectly seasoned! Chefs kiss!

Yelp
My family had dinner here yesterday for Mother's Day. The location is very convenient to get in/out of with plenty of parking. The decor is the restaurant is very nice (5/5). Much bigger than the other location on San Felipe and a bit more upscale, in my opinion. The "front of house" service was okay. Took a while for us to get seated even though there were plenty of empty tables. Kind of seemed like 3 people running around not really coordinating well on getting folks seated. When it was our turn, the hostess just grabbed some menus and starting walking away without letting us know we were supposed to follow her. We had to ask to confirm. The waitstaff service was very good. Our server was Oscar, and he was very friendly and attentive. For food, we had: Parker House Rolls - 4.5/5: Fantastic rolls. Comes with three accompaniments. Olive oil (very standard), bacon jam and honey agave butter. Loved both the jam and the butter separately, but both are very sweet. Given the olive oil is a bit bitter, I thought instead of the agave butter, it would have been nice to have a salted butter to hit bitter, sweet and savory profiles. Liberty Stacked Tower - 4.5/5: Comes with oysters (4.5/5), cocktail shrimp (4/5), a small main lobster (4/5) and avocado crab cocktail (4.5/5). The accompanying cocktail sauce is great (love the horseradish). Creole Shrimp & Seafood Gumbo - 3/5: Flavors were okay (not great). A bit bitter. The biggest miss was that the soup came out not hot at all, but room temperature. Citrus Chili Salmon Sashimi - My daughter ordered this and said it was very good. I didn't try it so won't rate. Liberty Lobster Roll - 3/5: The menu description is wrong. It does not come with drawn butter. It is a "cold" style, mayonnaise based. Hard to really taste the lobster. Liberty Broiled Seafood Platter - 2.5/5: Total miss in my opinion. Nothing really wrong, but nothing good on the whole plate. Scallops were good, but the fish was overcooked (dry) as well as the shrimp (overcooked). Not much flavor to the entire dish, other than the scallops. I would absolutely not order this again, as much better options on the menu. Onion Rings - 4/5: Nice and thick, and the accompanying remoulade is very good. Just wish the rings themselves had a bit more flavor. Overall, I would go to this restaurant again, but know which items to order again and avoid. Look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Yelp
Its been a while since I've dined at this restaurant, but when i do visit, i always have great service and delicious food. After the rainy week, it was nice to have brunch outside. Our server Oscar was amazing . He is super attentive and welcoming. Sitting on the patio, listening to the waterfall fountain was very serene. I also love that their patio is a smoke-free zone. Food Grilled coastal board 10/10 Two types of oysters, mussels and scallops. The scallops came with this herb mashed potato they were succulent and nice size. The oysters were grilled nicely. The one with bacon jam was a little sweet for my taste. Souffle pancake 9/10 These are remarkably light and fluffy with a hint of sweetness Honey butter french toast 9/10 it's super sweet tasted more like bread pudding dessert, but it was very delicious. No syrup needed Drinks Garden party 9/10 if you're a gin person you'll love this. It's strong but very floral White sangria 8/10 on the sweet side, not much fruit

Yelp
We've been going to this location for year. Always exceptional service! Started a tradition a couple years back to visit for New Year's Day and ring in the year with oysters and bubbly.

Yelp
Today (Sunday) was my first time here for breakfast. Oddly not crowded and a really pleasant time. Restaurant is comfortable , well lit with a modern decor. For a starter we split some citrus salmon sashimi which was light and flavorful. For my main breakfast i had 'Eggs Purgatory' which is kind of a poached egg swimming on top of a thick and spciey tomato soup. Iiked it. Filling and flavorful. My wife had the egg & proscuito Benedict which came with some 'truffle flavored chips' which i snuck a few of. It's not a large breakfast / brunch menu but does not need to be as there are several creative options and you can jsut get the lunch options if you want. there are two locations, I went to the BunkerHill location. I had previously been the the San Felipe location which, i forget why, i did not like so much so i will stick with this location which is closer anyway.

Eric San J.

Yelp
Went here while visiting from out of town. Ordered the following with these notes: Seafood gumbo - It was alright, nothing to write home about. Raw oysters - Could be fresher, but not terrible either. Chicken sliders - Tasty! With a savory/sweet jam that paired well. Hard to mess up. Truffle grilled cheese - it was more bread than truffle and cheese, to be honest. Service was nice, and it was quite peaceful for a lunch rush. The restaurant looked well-kempt and clean, so no knocks there. I wouldn't go out of my way for the food at Liberty Kitchen, but they did a good job in making us feel welcome and properly served.

Yelp
I came with my husband for date night, the place is very large and beautiful. The restaurant was too brightly lit, and did not seem romantic or intimate. It made it seem more like a picnic place that you bring your family. We ordered the gulf oyster sampler that was absolutely amazing. Each set of oysters had its own unique flavors. The garlic mashed potatoes that came with it were out of this world delicious! We also ordered deviled eggs. The eggs were good, but didn't taste as fresh as I was expecting. The lobster bisque was easily top 3 best I've ever had, it was rich, creamy, and full of real lobster meat. We also ordered some other crab appetizer that had too many onions and the crab flavor just got lost in the overpowering taste of the onions. We finished our meal with the raspberry bread pudding that was so delicious and flavorful it had such a delicate taste and texture I wanted to keep eating it , even though my belly was ready to explode. We also ordered a key lime pie that was also amazing. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Nothing but positives here. The seating layout is quite interesting. Something I've never seen before. When you sit in a booth, there's two hallways but you only have access to one. Where do I even begin? I ordered so much food that I can't even recall when was the last time I felt this bloated. It was pretty bad. I ate way too much. Why? I just couldn't stop. I kid you not, literally everything ordered was amazing. From presentation to flavor to texture to portion size to price to everything. Service was fast. Waiter was funny and attentive. All bellies were happy here.

Yelp
1. Service - Our server was friendly and attentive. This placed made it ok because of her. 2. Price - Main entrees are about $30-$45 a person. A bit much for the mediocre food that was served. I feel that you're paying for the ambiance, and yes it's nice, but I don't think it's worth the food. 3. Ambiance - Lodge feel, Live music on a Friday night, vaulted ceilings, and lots of natural lighting. We had kids in our party, and I feel that they intentionally placed us in a corner near their wine closet. There's plenty of space out in the main dining area when we came in, and there's live music out there. We had early reservation also. Why are all the families with kiddos stuck in this room?! Not cool. 4. Food - I had their LOBSTER ROLL SANDWICH with Chips. It was tasty, but not the best sandwich I've had. I've had some in NYC for cheaper, and it was whole lot tastier. 5. Cleanliness - this place is clean for their dining area as well as the restrooms. Food looks clean and appetizing. Nothing to complain here. I'm not sure if I'll recommend this place. It's like eating bar food with a higher price tag.

Yelp
I was invited here for a business lunch. I haven't been here since it opened, and I only went once. The place was clean and excellent service. No wait. We all shared the calamari. It was ok. A little on the soft side. I ordered the lobster roll. I was not that impressed with the roll itself and I ended up picking out the lobster and leaving the roll. The lobster needed more mayo as it was a little dry. Wasn't very impressive taste wise.

Yelp
we stopped for a late lunch, we were seated fast not an issue there. the waitress came and introduced herself and offered us water. that was the end of the service!! the waitress NEVER came back to our table!! she kept serving ALL of the other patrons except us!! we felt humiliated and completely discriminated of all the places we've been NEVER had we been so humiliated in our lives!! we walked out and no one questioned why? the manager kept walking by and she never stopped by our table either!!

Yelp
Loved the overall experience. We sat at the oyster bar and loved being so close to the kitchen and watching the staff orchestrate service. Food came out quick and super flavorful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Came for their happy hour and of course oysters. The presentation of the oyster tray was pretty neat because of the dry ice. Felt a bit fancy. They were good size and taste fresh. Scarf down 18 of them. Next I had the deviled eggs & bacon jam that were recommended to me by the waiter. He said that is their specality. I honestly dont care for deviled eggs but my they were DELICIOUS!! The flavors and textured was a party in my mouth. The soft whipped eggs topped with crunchy ample of salty bacon along with crunchy kosher pickles and sweet jam was a bliss. I would definitely get this again. Lastly the 2 Kobe beef sliders with fries..honestly it was a bit of a disappointment. The patty meat was really small and over cooked. It appear to be a single patty cut in halves and made it into two sliders. The meat barely took up half the bread and you taste more bread than the meat. The patty was probably half inch thick. Nothing about this slider was noteworthy..

Yelp
Delicious, fresh, quaint, and has amazing service. Our server was so kind and gave us the best recommendations. We shared a ton of food, but my favorites were the chargrilled oysters and the deviled eggs. Also the hamachi was delicious and very fresh! I also love the broad range of cultural and culinary approaches to seafood. Fried, raw, baked, Cajun, southern, Asian, Italian. All influences.

Yelp
For the last night of my sister's visit, we decided to dine at Liberty because of their char-grilled oysters. For a Monday night, right after spring break & rodeo, the place wasn't very packed. We were seated promptly by the bar. The place is stunningingly gorgeous from the chandeliers with a slight pink tint to the French inspired settees that were used with the bigger tables, this place is elegant. Loved the vibe. While waiting for our drink order & char-grilled oysters (we opted for a mix of the parmesan-herb & the bacon jam with butter), we took a look at the menu. It was a tough choice between the fried shrimp, linguine pescatore, shrimp/crab scampi, beef tataki, or the poached shrimp with a side salad. H ordered the Redfish on the half shell, my sister ordered the truffle cheeseburger & I orderedd the shrimp/crab Louis salad (because this salad is a rare find on menus). The drinks & oysters hit the table & they were so freakin' delicious! While both great, I preferred the parm-her one. Dang, these beauties were a hit. Our entrees arrived & the Louis was very refreshing (instead of Russian, this place serves it wil 1,000 Island which I prefer) & the poached shrimp & crab was plentiful. I wished they used mixed greens for the salad instead of the romaine hearts. The overall look of the salad was bland but the flavor was pretty good! Both my sister & H loved their meals. I did steal a few fries from my sister & they were perfect. So why the 3 stars? The service. While friendly we were basically deserted after they collected our dinner plates. And they left our appetizer plates with the seafood forks on the table, which we had to keep shifting about when dinner was served. H used his dinner utensils for the oysters in lieu of the seafood fork & they never replaced them. We were interested in dessert but grew tired of waiting so just asked for the check. Our table was right by the server station which was hidden discreetly behind a wall. This was no big deal but out of the corner of my eye, I spotted something white. I looked down & peeking out from the corner of the server station was a lone, white dishtowel someone forgot on the floor. I know, no big deal but my OCD kicked in & I found myself staring at it from time to time. I finally moved my chair until the wretched thing disappeared from my peripheral vision & was no longer a distraction. Upon leaving, the dang thing was still there. I just don't get how so many people can walk by that poor thing & not pick it up. Overall: food excellent, service lacking. But, will give this place another go as I do like the look of their brunch menu.

Yelp
I have been to the Liberty Kitchen in River Oaks and ended up trying this location for a Sunday brunch. 3 out of 4 of us ordered the red velvet waffle and fried chicken. I also ordered the parker house rolls to start. They were fantastic. Warm and fluffy with a side of whipped butter, bacon jam, and olive oil and herbs. The waffle and chicken were a let down however. The waffle itself was cold and rather chewy. The chicken was ok but not hot or very flavorful. Our service was great. Kevin was super attentive and accommodating especially to the one difficult person in our party. The ambiance was great and I would come back and give this location another try with a few tweaks to the menu.

Yelp
Wonderful Oysterette restaurant close to Memorial in Htown. One of Houston' s hidden gems that definitely has some cool coastal ingredients such as citrus grilled seared Ora king salmon and tofu poke with seared tuna spicy vegan crab avocado and edamame . They even have Chilean sea bass and ribeye au poivre for the more adventurous palate. Noticed they have Live music on Friday and Saturdays. Definitely worth a 2nd visit.

Yelp
I didn't get to go up in the Tree House of the treehouse location, slightly bummed. Had a great visit here with another couple and our 4month old. Server was very accommodating and friendly as we asked for a car seat holder, booster chair, small spoons , and other thing for the little one to be comfortable. They had live music on Saturday night that made the restaurant feel a bit more intimate and neighborhood-y. Food was 4/5 I'd say. I liked everything I got, wasn't quite blown away by anything. Raw Oysters were fresh tasting and served with the expected extras. Grilled octopus was cooked correctly. Truffle fries and Brussel sprouts sides were up to par. I got the Chilean Sea Bass and had no complaints.

Yelp
Amazing dinner and service. First restaurant bar I've been to with Gran Coramino tequila, which gave me the chance to deviate from my normal Casamigos and Clase Azul. Went on a weekend during their live music hours that were a nice balance to the old games showing on the TV at the bar. The food was superb. I had the redfish with broccolini and citrus cream butter cake for dessert. The bartenders were super attentive and took great care of me. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
My first time trying oysters! The oysters were presented very showy, and the lobster bisque was so fire

Yelp
The food as always was great. I came for brunch with my family last weekend. Dylan was our server. He's quick and efficient...almost too quick but he was very peasant and would. First time at the treehouse location - decor was cute - two bars - loved the green stools! Was a bit disappointed the deviled eggs offerings weren't what I was used to from the River Oaks locale, but they were still yummy. We shared coastal board, morning board, and garlic Parmesan oysters. Liberty Mimosa is always a treat. I'm still a fan and will never turn down a visit to LK!

Yelp
First, the positives, the service and atmosphere is good. Unfortunately it doesn't make up for the mediocre, way overpriced food. $50 crab cake was mostly breading and came with a small cup of fries. Underwhelmed w/scallops (chewy). Drinks were about $5 more than other high end establishments ($18).

Yelp
I'm a little torn on the number of stars. I am going to round up to 4 stars. I had a nice lunch with coworkers. It took a little longer than we are 'allotted' for lunch. But, I expected that at a decent, sit-down restaurant. I had one of the lunch specials: seafood scampi (fresh, house-made fettucini with shrimp, crab, lobster, and a light sauce). It was a large portion. But, it was $44....for lunch pasta. I promise there was not that much seafood. I get that everything is fresh. But, $44??? I think there were 4 shrimp... a couple of small pieces of lobster, some small shards of crab, and the pasta wash....eh I don't mind paying for good food....within reason. The food is good, the service is good. I just personally feel that it's overpriced.

Yelp
The menu has a balanced protein variety of dishes. The service was excellent. I personally do not like loud music while dining and live music tends to always be too loud however, the musician was talented.

Yelp
Elegant but relaxed dining experience. Elevated menu and really delicious. Went on a Saturday Girl's Night Out and had a great time. There was live music in the lobby which was really cool. Service was top notch. Awesome restaurant with great food and great service.

Yelp
Very kind and helpful staff. Food came out quickly and was all very fresh and flavorful. The calamari with shrimp and asparagus was great, as well as the lobster roll. The libertine broiled seafood platter was a great taster of a few different kinds of seafood. Would recommend!

Yelp
Wow!! My first time dining at Liberty Kitchen was fantastic! The hostesses were so kind when I walked in and sat me quickly. My waiter, Oscar, might have been the best waiter I've ever had! He was so attentive and kind. Glasses always were refilled and he gave personal recommendations on the food which I appreciated. I will be returning and I will make sure to request Oscar every time!

Yelp
I came during the day time on a Saturday. I sat at the bar, but it was plenty of tables if I wanted service. The bartender was attentive & the drinks were great. I ordered the espresso martini and it typically is a bit of a show when they flambé it but not this time. However the food was delicious per usual. We ordered the seafood gumbo & lobster stuffed shells.

Yelp
This is probably the second time we've tried this place. It wasn't our first choice, but where we wanted to go was too crowded Similar to our last experience, the food was just not good. The menu makes it look like things are going to be flavorful from the descriptions, but I don't think I've had this bland of food in a long time. We kind of thought it was like not great hotel food. Or worse? The service was really good though. The person who took our order was nice. And our water stayed full without us having to ask (always a plus). The ambiance was nice enough. The booths are nice and spacious. However this time we were seated next to a room where a party was going on and they were taking photos in my direction which wasn't great (I switched sides to not be in the photos). Really, while I wish I could write something better about this place, the food just isn't very good. And it feels massively overpriced. We won't be returning.

Yelp
I had an event to attend in the evening in the area and since I'm allergic to traffic, I was looking for a spot close by to work remotely. Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette had free WiFi so that made my decision. I was able to find one of the last spots in their parking lot and posted up at the bar. They don't have a lot of outlets in the restaurant but there's one by the bar so they were able to accommodate me. I had a couple of beers while I worked because it clearly aids the creativity. Once happy hour hit, I had two of their happy hour food items to hold me over until the event. Service was reliable. I've been to other Liberty Kitchen's in Houston but this was my first one visiting their location in Memorial. While I didn't have their oysters, it's something they're known for (the name gives it away) so don't pass up on that!

Yelp
Okay I have to start out by saying that on a positive note, making a reservation was really easy and my table was setup beautifully. I was throwing a family member a mini bridal shower, and the management and staff was well organized. Our waitress was a little slow though and didn't check up on us in a timely manner. Down to the food, I paid a pretty penny for lobster Benedict, because it's not everyday I see that sort of item on a brunch menu. So I went for it and man was I disappointed. I think you can just see how dry and sort of shriveled up the lobster itself is. The other sad part was that the croissants themselves were underbaked which is just not acceptable. They were raw inside and deflated. To top it all off, one egg was still yolk yellow inside but not runny, and the other one was completely cooked. All in all, eveyething that could go wrong in this dish, kind of did. And I was more than $40 poorer after eating it.

Yelp
The food was ok. The service was amazing. It was a little cold so our food got cold 5mins into eating it.

Yelp
I really enjoy the ambiance for a Friday date night! They had live music, good food and good drinks. It was my first time trying this restaurant and it had been on my list for a long time. Our waitress was super nice and offered a lot of great suggestions. The drinks were good. The oysters were fresh! I only ordered a couple to try it. They are a la cart so you can order as little or as many as you like. The steamed mussels were delicious and the broth was so flavorful. I never had it with chorizo but I enjoyed it! The tuna and crab friend rice was bomb! The lobster Mac and cheese could have had more lobster but was cheesy. I enjoyed everything and will definitely come again!

Yelp
Fabulous service and wonderful food ! Mussels were delicious and huge serving . Loved the fried shrimp, asparagus and calamari. Bread pudding completed the feast.
