The Best Philly Bars & Restaurants With Live Music

"Liberty Point is the largest outdoor restaurant in Philadelphia. And with multiple levels, a few massive bar spaces, and the waterfront on one side, the stage area on the second floor tends to get lost in the shuffle. Weekdays are the best time to come here for the local music acts taking over the stage, since on the weekends it’s full of twentysomethings dancing to a lineup of DJ sets while sipping on margaritas. Stick to the seafood if you want something to eat, especially the steamed mussels that are drenched in a garlicky wine sauce and come with warm bread. If it’s a sunny day, just know you’ll definitely need a reservation.  " - candis mclean

The Best Philadelphia Rooftops For Eating & Drinking

"If you’re interested in a relaxing view of the Delaware River waterfront that’s not on a boat and doesn’t require fighting over a hammock at the Spruce Street Harbor Park, head to the city’s largest restaurant, Liberty Point. It’s a three-level space with a circular rooftop where you can sip on wine and cocktails while diving into a bowl of steamed mussels. They come swimming in a garlicky wine sauce and, with warm toasty bread, it's pretty much the only thing on the menu worth ordering. Even so, Liberty Point is somewhere that will always have some views of boats and a massive crowd—especially on a sunny day." - candis mclean, alison kessler

Philly Restaurants, Stop Charging ‘Wellness’ or ‘Employee Benefit’ Fees - Eater Philly

"Last week, Philadelphia magazine reported that several Philly-area hotspots, including the D.C.-based chain Founding Farmers in King of Prussia and restaurant group FCM Hospitality (which includes Morgan’s Pier, Liberty Point, Lola’s Garden, Dolphin Tavern, and others) were charging automatic “wellness” and/or “employee benefit” fees to diners that were between 3 and 5 percent of their bill." - Ernest Owens

We had a great time coming here! It was a great spot with a great view. Great atmosphere, it was Tiki themed, lots of fun cocktails in funky glasses! Our bartender made the experience really great, very kind, fun and welcoming. If anyone is ever looking for a good outside terrace with a view, perhaps with a cocktail, I recommend this spot!

Google
This place was crazy on July 4th. We bought tickets thinking it might be a scam but it turned out to be a great night club type spot with excellent fireworks over the Delaware river. Couldn't be happier. The DJs were fantastic. Loaded fries were delicious. What fun.

Google
Fun Tiki bar upstairs with great drinks and views! Drinks were strong and tasty, a great value. Menu doesn't have any vegan food though.

I try very hard not to give bad reviews. I go to reviews as a way to find my way around places I have never been. The food here is okay. The mussels were old and the shrimp didn’t have much flavor. The chicken wings were pretty good. Their French fries are okay as well. We ordered frozen drinks and they were not frozen. When I asked if they were supposed to be frozen the waitress said yes but it’s hot outside! It was hot outside but there was no ice at all! I then asked for a cup of ice that I didn’t receive until I asked a third time. Our waitress disappeared never came to Check on us. We ended up having to stop another waitress to ask her for help! The only beautiful thing about the place is the views! They are beautiful you can see the water and hear the bands playing! We did not need a reservation and there was not a wait.

Christian

Google
Very disappointed compared to years past. The food is fantastic and beverages are good if you can get some. Had a party of 10. Would think the services when it is slow would be great but it was the complete opposite. We were sat down on one of the private decks and were completely forgot about. After asking staff if there was a waiter for our party that had a reservation, we were told to talk to the hostess. For the entire hour and thirty minutes we were there, we saw wait staff a total of 3 times. Drinks were empty most of the duration of our meal (both water and alcoholic beverages). Food and the view was great as always. Service was horrific. Every-time someone got up to get a staff to wait the servers were standing next to the bar hugging and chatting with each other.

Google
I love the atmosphere of this place more than anything. I came for the culture fest event and it expanded my horizons to dope rooftop/riverfront spots. The food is subpar -- I got chicken tenders and fries and couldn't finish it. & The service was just all over the place because you have to stand around the bar and wait, so other people who ordered the same thing after me got their orders first. I would definitely come back and give it another chance.

Irina Lawless

Google
Great vibes, went here for 4th of July party with my friends and had so much fun! They had 3 different dance floors, tables, many bars, places to sit and great views.

Steve Kennedy

Google
I was here on a weekday for lunch so it wasn’t very busy, so the wait staff had time to be friendly…which they did! Burger was pretty darn good and you can’t beat the view!

Yelp
Really cool spot! Great rooftop bar. You need a reservation if you want a table; bar seats available first come first serve. Super friendly helpful bartends. He gave a great recommendations. Color me pomegranate- good flavor and tequila is strong but not overwhelming Jack Palmer- like a Jack and ginger, pretty good. Pretty good beer selection. The food was basic but good. The chicken fingers came in a cute boat shaped basket.
google avatar

Kenneth E.

Yelp
Came here to grab a quick drink. The ambiance here is really nice, and they have some rail seats that look over the water. The price point is not as gougy as they could be for their location which is nice. That being said, the bartender that helped me and the person before me was all over the place. He was definitely rude to the person before me and snapped at him. For me, I ordered a beer and an aperol spritz and it took 10 minutes after I ordered it. He kept telling me he was working on it, but kept pacing the bar looking for Aperol (it was in front of him) and also was working on table orders at the same time. I feel like they need to get a bit more organized behind the bar.

Mark P.

Yelp
Cut your fingernails bartender. Wouldn't eat here after seeing that from the server. Music was decent.
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Liberty point was a cool vibe. The view is lovely, the music was good, and the breeze was amazing although it was hotttt outside. The main downside to my experience was the swarm of gnats at our table. They came and went while we were there, but it was a bit of hassle. Special s/o to our server, Lana, for going the extra mile and spraying bug spray for us. The restaurant had a 4th of july themed frozen drink, which was pretty tasty, and we got the shrimp basket and bbq wings (they were kind of drowned in sauce, so I would ask for it on the side in the future, but the flavor was good)! I would come back again to try the mussels, which looked really good.

Trent S.

Yelp
From out of town and stopped in with some traveling friends for lunch. Everyone had the fish and chips and unfortunately my friend's 17 yr old son was not feeling well and went to the bathroom where he was ill and vomited on the bathroom floor. He went and told the staff and then two security people escorted him out of the restaurant claiming it is a policy. It was so very wrong and upsetting to the family and a totally inappropriate response.... Maybe it was the fish they served! Based on the treatment I would not recommend this place to anyone and would suggest another place, you'll probably find better food and service too.
google avatar

Mia E.

Yelp
Going back to through my reviews, and realizing that I never really had a chance to give my two cents. I actually enjoyed this little spot. View was amazing, service was quick and the server was knowledgeable. Maybe we should have tried a few more things from the menu, Shrimp Taco and Nachos were presented well but really lacked flavor. Again for a summer quick lunch just okay...

Francesca C.

Yelp
Came by just to have some drinks and the service was distasteful from start to end. I was very disappointed. The host or "id" checker in the front, she had a ponytail was fair skinned. She made it a point to not check ID's of people older not even thinking to check for restrictions, someone who I was with had a DUI which is a restriction and is not allowed to get served alcohol. She's worried about people looking young not thinking about restrictions. Another one upstairs with a green skirt and a white long sleeve shirt with long hair, she claimed her name was "Jasmine" she also needs to work on her service skills I received an attitude for returning my menus because had only came for drinks.

Yelp
From questions I had when booking reservations, to checking in, to our waitress, to leaving and talking to the bouncer, all of the staff we encountered were personable, kind, and fantastic. They added to a great vibe. I had a question while booking a reservation and a person responded to me via email within one hour while the restaurant was closed, very good customer service. Vibe was awesome! Early on there were kids. Dogs. Nice diverse crowd. Everyone was in a good mood and chill. The sensational soul cruisers were awesome, and there was no cover to come see them play which was amazing. The place was clean. The breezes were great. Sorry, but the food was terrible. I got the chicken fingers and fries. Way too much breading on the chicken fingers and I don't know what was wrong, but they were hard, and it was hard to eat. It actually hurt my mouth. Fries were OK, but tasted like old Grease. I don't know how to explain it, but they kind of tasted cheap. My Hobbs had the burger said it was good. I wouldn't come here for the food, but drinks and the atmosphere

Yelp
I think the best thing about this place must be the rooftop and I can't even say that for certain because I was not able to experience it due to the weather. This place was recommended because of the rooftop and so I went off of that. The staff were also very friendly on a slow Wednesday night. Once I got there and realized I would not be able to have the rooftop experience (no biggie because it was rather chilly), then saw the limited menu, I had a feeling the food would not be that great. It's a bar that serves food and not the other way around. At least that's my impression. To be fair, the food was fresh it just was not that tasty. The salad I had was extremely cold at first and had lots of liquid on the bottom of the bowl that did not taste like dressing. I do think it was not drained well after washing and if that's what happened, my consolation is the greens were washed. Not much else to write except my suggestion is to be prepared that it's bar food - burgers, tacos, wings, sandwiches, apps. I would not go for the food.

Yelp
Was so excited for this to open back up, made a reservation and even walked and enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. Unfortunately after waiting 10 mins from checking in from our reservation we were finally sat at our table on the 3rd level - and boy were we and everyone else there disappointed. We waited 30 mins at our table before we went and got someone to take our order. In that 30 mins we watched 4 other tables get sat and walk out due to no service. We also saw 2 other parties get sat and tended to. Every server looked strung out and stressed out. The "floor manager" that came to help us was so high, didn't care at all how long we'd been waiting. We ordered a second round of drinks that never came. When we asked for the check it was a burden for her, since she never did find us a server - overall will NEVER be back - and will make sure to tell everyone I know along the way.

Yelp
Food delicious, but not plated (basket style shared plates). Service was friendly and present. Ambiance was comfortable for outdoor seating and nothing is better than overlooking the water.
google avatar

Amity W.

Yelp
A fun place to enjoy drinks and some food with friends but very very crowded. They have multiple spaces with picnic tables, string lights, and umbrellas for seating. If you plan to come here during the spring and summer, plan for a long wait to get in and long lines at the bars. Drinks are good and they have a decent selection. Service was fast once you ordered! Very pretty after the sun sets as well to see all the lights.
google avatar

Yelp
I read some reviews-looks like the bad ones were upset about kids not being admitted. I had no difficulty getting a table with my two kiddos but we were there at the lunch hour. It appears that at night the bar tends to get a little rowdy -so no kids after 8pm is what the waitress said. So just take note ... not a night place for kids. That said, we had the pretzel nuggets/bites and they were scrumptious. The kids had the kids burger and fries. They were satisfied with their meals. I had the Baja fish tacos and they were fantastic! Drinks were good, waitstaff and hostess were great and the view was gorgeous. I failed to take a pic because I was just enjoying it. Be a nice human and they'll be nice to you.

Yelp
Chris, the bartender greeted at the outside bar and was very helpful in helping me pick a local beer. I ordered the spicy tuna tostadas; they were extremely tasty!! I enjoyed sitting at the bar and interacting with some other tourist; everyone seem to be having a good time. Liberty Point has three levels, five bars, with a great view of the Delaware river. Local bands perform on the rooftop area where there's plenty of areas to sit stand and dance.

Yelp
Stopped here for a drink on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly and opted for the bar since we were not planning on eating. We received friendly service from the bartenders. The view was beautiful and really adds to the ambiance. I highly recommend the summer sangria, it's delicious and refreshing. We would definitely visit again next time we're in town.
google avatar

Kristina M.

Yelp
Great tasting food and good service. We came at 5pm on Friday and had plenty of space on the roof. The cheesesteak egg rolls are a must try!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm sorry, but I would only recommend this place for drinks and to enjoy the breathtaking views. I would not recommend coming here for food at all! I stopped by with my coworkers this week for dinner. The hostess was absolutely rude and had a terrible attitude problem. Our waitress on the other hand was very friendly and helpful! We ordered a few shared items and entrees. We ordered crispy chicken wings, hummus, popcorn shrimp, burrata, Caesar salad, fish and chips, lobster Mac and cheese and a cheeseburger. I was with a big group and unfortunately no one enjoyed any of the food. Everything tasted frozen and not fresh whatsoever. We ordered 3 Mac and cheese dishes, and all 3 came out cold. We told the waitress who took it back and when she brought it back out all 3 dishes were still cold. My manager ordered the fish and chips and you can tell from the picture that it looked whack. The cheeseburger was green and we asked the waitress why it was green since it wasn't mentioned on the menu. She went to ask the chef who said it was the marinade. We asked what kind of marinade so she had to go back and ask again. Apparently herbs and avocado? But it wasn't stated on the menu. My salad was huge but came with 3 cold pieces of shrimp. The manager came to our table and removed all the food items from the bill, which was very nice. He himself was a very nice and professional person. Unfortunately, the food here was awful we all left and went to another restaurant for dinner! Again, I would never come back here for food. However, I'd come back to grab a drink and enjoy the view. Security will card everyone so make sure you have your ID no matter your age!

Yelp
After seeing lots of local ads on tik tok, thought Id try this place out. It isn't located on the water, but next to it and near a ferry. The aesthetic is nice as it has a lot of cute shaded areas and provides a boardwalk feel too. The food we got was decent. Buffalo cauliflower was good, but couldve been cooked better. Burger was kind of small. Fries were good and wings too! Drinks were also decent. Not too big, but found the straw tough with the frozen drinks since it began to disintegrate too soon. The stage area was really cool and there is huge potential for an awesome music event. Ample seating and reservations get you higher level seating which is cool. Overall and okay eatery, decent place to drink, and awesome place to get cute pictures, listen to music, and hang out.
google avatar

Margarita R.

Yelp
I keep forgetting to review! I love Liberty Point. Its spacious, allows dogs, and they have live music on certain nights! For food, you have to know what to pick. My personal go to's are the pork tacos and the corn on the cob. The only protein I didn't love was the shredded chicken but the steak and pork are delish! Whatever variation you get with those two will be acceptable. The burritos are basic, nothing exceptional but will definitely fill you up. Service is always quick and efficient. Overall, Liberty Point is a fun place to eat, party with friends, and enjoy live music! Absolutely recommend it if you have a large party. Best thing to do is reserve a table and enjoy!
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
"Where's the beef?" Liberty Point was so hyped up and it was a let down. The portions were insulting. McDonald's and Wendy's would run circles at this place for the price they were asking. Also, the server asked if I was sure with my drink order. I found out that they thought my drink taste like ice. Why would an establishment serve a plain tasting drink. This place is was disappointing. The portions were small, the food lack flavor, but it can be a chill spot to grab regular drinks at.
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
Great potential. Average Delivery. The new Liberty Point continues the extension of renovations on the Philadelphia side of the river. It has some excellent views and in good weather has an amazing atmosphere. Beyond that, the bar & restaurant offer nothing crazy to write home about. I think it is a great place to grab a drink on your way to dinner or earlier in the evening. However, from what I ate and saw, I'd say you should opt elsewhere for dinner and dining. Staff was on point. Prices aligned with the area. Again, an average overall experience.

Yelp
Liberty point was my most anticipated new restaurant opening in Old City. It has a prime Penn's Landing location outside the seaport museum. I was excited to try it for lunch. Upon arrival I was seated outside but on the upstairs level, where a pivotal scene in the movie Blow Out was filmed. That area had been blocked off from the public for many years, so as a huge film buff and fan of that movie it was good to be seated there. The menu is small, with basic easy to make items. Despite the large size of the restaurant they clearly want to be able to get people in and out quickly. I ordered a rum & coke and the fried shrimp basket. The drink was the kind of low alcohol watered down drink you get at a casino. And it had a lemon slice instead of a lime slice. The fried shrimp was the worst I've ever tasted. Just look at my picture and you can see it's bad just based on looks. The fries were good at least. My friend wasn't too happy with her crab cake sandwich either. Liberty point is hoping to succeed based on the location and awesome river view. Service was also good. The waitress was attentive and friendly. I should have asked her for a fresh batch of shrimp. Maybe my bad batch was an outlier, but no chef who takes pride in his/her work would even send it out looking so bad. I was expecting to be a regular here since I'm at Penn's Landing often. Instead I'll probably go one more time just to take pictures of the view and then be done with the place.

Yelp
Went to Liberty Point solo dolo during the week and with a group of people on the weekend. Both experiences, I truly enjoyed myself! I really like it here! The design of Liberty Point is unique. The view of the water and seeing the Ben Franklin Bridge is awesome. There are multiple sections for reservations on Resy; a location just for drinks; a bleacher style section to hangout & sit; and a section for drinks and food (without reservations but might be packed). I tried a few drinks and I would have to say the pineapple whiskey sour tastes good and will sneak up on you! I also had their popcorn shrimp with fries and their Philly fried shrimp basket with fries (old bay seasoning on top of fries). I was impressed by the food and asked for a side of jerk aioli, which was good. The staff here are friendly. It was our waitstaff, Brittney's, first day and she handled our big group very well in 90+ degree weather! There seems to be parking for $20 as well as parking at the Hilton for $18. I took Uber. Liberty Point is one of those places in Philly I don't mind visiting multiple times!

Yelp
This is a hard review to write and one I never imagined I would need to write but unfortunately here we are.... Some friends, my husband and I stopped by for a drink and some snacks we ordered just like any restaurant and then the table next to us asked if we had to put a card down before ordering. We let the ladies know we did not and they shared they did have to put their card down first. We were a table full of white individuals and they were all black. The ladies very nicely asked if they could speak with the manager and asked if their waitress (who was different than ours) was new because it was possible it was a simple mistake. The manager handled the situation completely inappropriately and was accusing them of being wrong/lying this led to our table stepping in and corroborating their story. The manager then left and sent over a black women and she said she was there to deal with "problem guests".... at this point I was sick to my stomach and couldn't believe what I was hearing. Also mind you no one was being a problem, I cannot stress this enough they were simply stating facts. In the past I have seen situations that were questionable but I wasn't sure of the whole situation so I did not get involved (maybe I should have done better) this time I know the whole story and it is possible our waiter forgot to ask for our card and that was policy but a simple "I'm sorry" was not uttered until the third person came to talk to them. We left before the situation was totally resolved but it appeared the third guy was being finally being compassionate to the situation. Our server was great and the views were terrific but this was all lost on the injustice that was happening behind us. I do not think I personally will be back and I hope this never happens again but I know I will never forget it.

Yelp
Honestly, I've never said this before, but security was really friendly. Drinks were good, service was nice, view was one of the best ones you'll find around! Great stop on a drinking excursion!

Yelp
I was here for drinks with family. It is definitely got a vibe of a beach bar that probably gets pretty crazy in the evening. There is loud live music on one side of the bar (this place is huge), but the other side of the deck is quieter so you can have a conversation. Make sure you have your ID on you, they check your bags when you go in. The view of the river as wonderful. And the bathrooms are super clean with a charming attendant, (have some singles to tip her).
google avatar

Kris L.

Yelp
Don't come here hungry. Liberty Point is located adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum and boasts the largest number of outdoor seats in philadelphia. The views on the water side are gorgeous and the non-water views aren't great but the spacious outdoor seating is wonderful. The menu is limited and i was surprised by how incredibly small the portions were for the price. I've NEVER come upon a small portion of Fish N chips and their entree comes with ONE piece of fried fish. The place was busy so the service was slow but the servers were so pleasant and trying their best. I loved the seating but i wouldn't come back for the food, just some drinks, great outdoor seating, and good company!

Yelp
Love this place!!! Great views. Terrific service. Interesting food choices that are probably in evolution. Pretzels were a small order and basic. Buffalo cauliflower was excellent and special. Very few wines to choose from but the Pinot Noir on the menu was perfect for the location and season. Perfect place to Hang with friends.
google avatar

Keemy U.

Yelp
The food is good. They have basic and different options like the lobster quesadilla. The prices are average and the waitress was cool. We sat upstairs so we got to see the view of the water and boats passing by. Security is good and the other customers seemed very happy with their drinks.
google avatar

Sy L.

Yelp
Was carded and bag searched before entering. Walked up the steps and was seated near the bar. Ordered a drink and fries. The fries were hard and I wondered if they had been sitting for awhile. The drink was good. This location is cute and right off the water. I will give it another try but I was not impressed from this visit.

Yelp
Visited Liberty Point during the 4th of July weekend. Came here because it was new and wanted to check it out but also we were dog sitting for our daughter and saw dogs were welcomed. I made reservations however when we checked in they never asked for my name and immediately directed me to the lower part of the restaurant. A few things to note: you must show ID regardless. Reservations are suggested since it's near Penn's Landing where there is always people around ready to eat. I read the service can be slow and to some point it was. We came during the day and the place any plenty of open tables. Just to get a menu and water was a wait. Of course I flagged someone down. We made a point to order everything to avoid another wait. Our first order was cocktails: Margaritas and a seasonal drink - Liberty Punch. They were ok. For our entrées we went with the crispy chicken wings, shrimp basket and brisket cheesesteak. Have I had better, yes but we came for the atmosphere and it served the purchase of bringing our loveable pup Chi.
google avatar

Komal R.

Yelp
Really great addition to the pier, much needed! The crowd is pretty much like Morgan's Pier. We had a couple of cocktails each and the ones I liked the most are - the Margarita and the one with coconut/pineapple/rum. Minus one star because they were served in a plastic cup, it is 2022 and people need to stop using single use plastic - also for $10 I better get a glass cup. Fried chicken bites were tasty but lacked the crunchiness or freshness. Shrimp and grits was mostly grits with small pieces of shrimp thrown on the side. I'll come back not because this place is amazing but because I live 5 minutes from it.
google avatar

Trish L.

Yelp
The service was quick for both food and drinks. We had a large table and the drinks came out for everyone within 5 minutes of ordering. The food came out as it was ready.. so, not everyone got their plate at the same time. The view was nice and the server was pleasant. Would go again!

Yelp
Great outdoor bar & restaurant on Penn's Landing along the Delaware River. Fun lite fare & sandwich menu with a Mexican flare. The specialty tacos & lobster quesadillas are a can't miss! The service is friendly & quick! Very reasonably priced for Olde City!
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
We didn't try any food. We came to the bar top and had a drink! We're from California so i had never seen this type of drink before but it was amazing! The service was quick , we were helped right away! The ambiance was casual and great. The day we visited it happened to be a bit rainy but there were still a lot of people out there. We love it here. Highly recommend 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
This place as so much potential....but it's just not there. Although great for groups, the service here is subpar. We came in with a medium sized group on a Thursday evening that was not too busy. Despite the lack of heavy crowds, some folks of my party were not served for over 30 minutes and ended up ordering at the bar instead. Also, don't let the photos here on Yelp fool you. Most are from last year (2022) and there has been changes to the menu. I ordered the shrimp basket thinking it would be shrimp and fries. What came out was 5-6 pieces of overcooked and under seasoned shrimp. If you're going to charge $16 for mediocre shrimp, please throw in a little bit of fries.

Yelp
PROS: The staff is very nice here and the food is even better. They have A LOT of seating available that overlooks the water. Prices are good and the music/bar area is lit for millenials. CONS: The variety that they have on their menu is very small OVERALL: This will be one of the places that I will eat at the next time I go down there. Hopefully their menu increases by then.

Not gluten free food. Buyer beware, the fries tasted stale or freezer burnt, "fresh" from the fryer. I started having a reaction right after leaving. Server was lovely helpful and amazing Location is nice

Yelp
Different cheesesteak #1041 in the last four years. Full video of our visit is on my YouTube channel, Philadelphia Cheesesteak Adventure. This is a summary. We found parking on the street which was a huge plus. $6 vs $20 in the lot on a Tuesday afternoon. Good service. We liked the cheesesteak. $15 could be considered inexpensive for the place. The drinks were tasty but a little pricey and weak. We were hoping for a beach/riverside bar atmosphere. This was more, go with someone you like and want to sit by the river and talk to.

Yelp
This place was the only place open on the pier on a weekday before 4pm, and I really wanted to get that ambiance and views while having some drinks, so my friend and I decided to check this place out. We went around 2pm on a Tuesday and we were able to sit at the second-floor bar and the weather was a bit chilly but the sun was out so it wasn't too bar. We ordered the crab dip with pretzels ($16) and the elote hush puppies ($9) and I also got a pear lemonade ($12) as my drink. My drink came out rather quickly and it was pretty good -- I wish it was a little more sweeter but it was okay. I could tell the alcohol was strong and I just wanted some happy hour drinks. Our food came out shortafter and we started with the crab dip which comes with pretzel sticks. The crab dip was pretty good -- nothing too fancy and it was a great pair with pretzel dips; however, I wish they had an option to serve it with tortilla chips instead. It wouldn't be too heavy instead. The elote hush puppies on the other hand were a little disappointing. It was literally hush puppies (and they weren't even good hush puppies) with elote cream. The hush puppies were not good at all, and it looks like they fried this thing in some old oil. The color was so dark and it was just not appetizing. We ended up leaving 90% of the dish. While it is a great place with views, I probably would not order food here again. Maybe just drinks. Our host and server, however, were very kind and was very attentive to us!

Yelp
Don't go for the food. It IS, however, a great venue by the water, seated high above passerby people. Love the location. It would be great for parties and large or small gatherings. The decor is great with lots of wooden walls and flowers peaking out from everywhere. You go for the atmosphere and to be by the river. That alone makes it worth it. Don't go here as a foodie because you will be disappointed. The menu isn't extensive and most of the food is bar food like wings and fries. I had the fried shrimp and fries which were fine. Love the old bay seasoning, reminds me of living in DC. This just wasn't the highlight of the visit. Service was great, everyone was friendly and there wasn't a long wait time. Highly recommend, like most spots in Philly, making a reservation. Enjoy :)

Yelp
I originally gave LP 5 stars when I came for a few drinks and an appetizer. But I have to re-review. I still stand by my OG statement that the shrimp and grit tots are bomb, but for the rest of the food, let's just say don't show up hungry. I went back with a group of 7, we all put our order in at the same time, the ones who put their full order in were lucky. For me and a few others we only put in apps. I ordered the BBQ cauliflower as an app and was planning on putting in something more after I had more time to look over the menu. I wanted to try so many things! We hadn't received our food yet, but the server came back and said they weren't taking anymore food orders. She implied that we will probably get our food but it will take awhile. So a liquid diet it was - for the time being. The Drinks were pretty good, they just took a while to come out. We ordered shots and was told 30 mins after that they didn't have what we wanted. They brought over something else, we didn't want it but just took it anyway. My entire table eventually got their food, I did not get my cauliflower bites and I was told they weren't coming. I watched a food runner glared eyed and confused with an order of cauliflower bites in their hand give them to a table who repeatedly said they didn't order that. So I had to sit and watch the rest of my party eat while giving them puppy dog eyes, hoping they'd offer to share. Thankfully my friends let me scrounge off their plates, so i did get to eat some things. The Burrata salad was very small, basically a ball of cheese with a few pieces of lettuce and crackers, (Can't speak on taste, didn't try it). The falafel was dry and needed a lot of sauce. The spicy tuna is small and basically like a sushi dip. I thought this was delicious, just needed more chips. Oysters were delicious. They kept seating people, which was just self sabotage at that point. A little tip: tell people you are not serving food before you seat them. Communication is key, a hospitality group of this size should know that. Overall the experience was a buzz kill, everyone wanted to just go home shortly after. If you're looking for food, go somewhere else and just come for drinks. They are too big of a place with too small of a kitchen and need to workout the kinks. $400 later, the whole thing felt like a waste. Giving 3 stars because the first experience was great, the view is awesome and our server was very nice.

Yelp
I just wanna say that Liberty Point is one of the coolest new spots to arrive down the Penn's Landing waterfront. And, I've been frequenting this new venue since they opened a few months ago and the vibe is amazing. All in all, the setting is great as far as the scenery is concerned but I'd really like to highlight & give major kudos to the staff. One of the great staff bartenders named "Mike" that bartends on the upper level is a real personable & cool guy that makes all his guests feel truly appreciated. It's folks like him that make the "customer experience" amazing especially when they are always on point & attentive. Again, "kudos" to Liberty Point for hiring great "star-tenders" like Mike that keep the guests feeling like they are #1!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best bars in Philadelphia, the water views are amazing. All the people giving bad reviews because of the food - it's bar food you morons, you're acting like you went to the Saloon and got a good meal, grow up.

Yelp
Liberty point was featured as a place to visit for happy hour. It is located in Penns Landing and has great waterfront views. We originally planned to sit outside, but the weather changed our plans. They have a small indoor seating area section in the part we were at. Our server greated us right away, but then took a long time to come back to get our order. The other waiters seemed to be really socializing with each other. The menu is small, but seems like they are items that don't take long to make. The drink menu was not impressive and served in small plastic cups. Since it was so hot out my drink was watered down pretty quickly with the ice and temperature. The sandwiches are served with a pickle spear, I ordered a side of fries. The food was mediocre at best. I was hoping to be more impressed instead of underwhelmed.

Yelp
I came here on a Thursday afternoon with 4 other people, the day of the flyers event. It wasnt too crowded when we arrived, but then it started to get busier. They recommend making reservations if you want a table but we just got drinks at the bar and sat elsewhere, there was plenty of seats. I ordered a sangria and it was OK, not the best, not the worst. Everyone else ordered shots. Even though we weren't at a table, they still have employees go up to you to take your order. I knocked off one star because as we were walking around looking for a place to sit, we walked into an area that was for a "private event" but no one was there and neither was there a sign that said that. (neither was it blocked off) There was a few people standing there chit chatting and as we walked by, the one employee goes "CAN I HELP YOU?" in such a rude tone. My husband apologized for not knowing it was not open to the public and I said out loud so she could hear me, "do not apologize for not knowing!" she came off rude, and maybe if she did her job instead of chit chatting with friends we would have never gotten that far into the area before she had to scream at us. overall, it has nice views. i liked our waiter that continuously asked us if we were good. good music, nice location. but be warned there's not much shade depending where you sit. you'll be super hot/burn if you're in the sun!
