The Hawaiian burger was awesome, I've been craving for a long time in the USA and this one didn't disappointed, thank you for that! The second highlight was for sure the mushrooms, they were delicious , they have cream cheese which make them unique, I'd be coming back for more of those. Other than that it's worth to mention that there's some arcade/gaming area

NY strip steak was tough and full of fat, clearly not NY steak quality. Manager did the right thing and replaced with Steak Medallions that were delicious. Highly recommend.

Love everything about this pub. A nice restaurant experience and a beautiful bar make this location a go-to for me. I like the sliders. Top-notch meat with caramelized onions and soft buns really satisfy. Very clean property. Super friendly wait staff.

Chicken BBQ sandwich was amazing and I loved the chicken bits for our appetizers. The season fries are great too

Update December 2022 Changed to 4 stars. The food was much better this time around and service was good. The food was average, although my expectations may have been high because the food at the Library that closed down in Novi was always great. The service was what you would expect with a shortage of workers. The bar was packed - I assume there are many regulars. They give you a ton of fries, but both times we ate here they were barely warm and the sliders were overcooked. Although the food was average bar food, we will still go back for drinks and a burger.

First I would like to say our waitress was very sweet but clearly had received no training. To begin our night, I was served a straight shot of whiskey instead of the old fashioned I had ordered. The waitress had no idea she got it wrong because she was only 17 and admitted to it. Next, my husband was handed his meal with a baked potato instead of the mashed potatoes he ordered. His steak was also way undercooked. To add to the disappointment, he ordered a beer only to watch it sit on the bar warming up for 10 minutes before the waitress decided to bring it to the table. To finish the night, we watched the bartenders do multiple shots with the manager standing next to them with no problem. What happened to this place?

To be honest the atmosphere and service weren’t too bad but could be better, my real opinion is about the food because that is the reason to go for this kind of places but the food here was tasteless, I wonder that was only my experience because I saw really good reviews about this restaurant but unfortunately mine have to be one of the worst food that I tried, I hope they can improve those meals or take of the menu if it isn’t their especially. The tater tots were the only thing that was really good.

Had a good experience here. It wasn't too busy at the time, and we had a good meal. The food was all really good. Service was good and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Great Spot, but Loud Music The food was delicious and the service was very good. It was at a quiet time before lunch hour. The only distraction was that the music was so loud that it was hard to talk at the table. We asked the waitress to see if they could turn it down a bit. For a while it seemed not quite as loud, but then it went right back up to being very loud again.

Good, middle of the line sports bar and always room for big groups!! The service is great and they were super nice about dividing up our checks for our part of 8 by couple. We went for the lions vs. bucs game and it was POPPIN to say the least lol. The whole bar was watching the game and it was a really fun community experience. I didn't order anything (vegan options are very limited) but my boyfriend and friends got a pepperoni pizza that came out hot and everyone loved. Beer was cold and shots were cheap! Will come back for years to come I'm sure

2/24- Love this place! There are so many options on the menu to satisfy the our dietary needs, and the food is always delicious! Great atmosphere, dimmed lights and music is not too loud. Staff is friendly, efficient. Sign up for their frequent rewards.

More sports bar and the thing that is library is a wall of books and trophies. Noise level is much higher than you will find in even the teen room of a library. Lots of TVs turned to different sports and a large bar section. Booths and tables for different sized groups. Will take reservations for larger groups and even do separate checks. Pizza, sandwiches, salads, entrees - fish, beef, and chicken, and lots of the normal bar food. All above average, but nothing to write home about. Everyone in my group found something and all but the person who got chopped BBQ Salmon Salad that told me it was too salty. Glad I got to try this place but probably won't be back.

One of my favorite places to visit when I'm in town. The beers are great and the buffalo chicken dip is fantastic. The rest of the food looks good although I have not tried anything else. There is an outdoor patio although last time the bees were bad so we had to sit inside. Come hang here and eat yummy apps and play keno

Food wise, this restaurant was just average/standard. It was not the type of restaurant that was so good that it would push me to go back for more. My order: - Whitefish Reuben - Spinach Artichoke Dip Between the two things I ordered, the Spinach Artichoke Dip was better than the Whitefish Reuben. The sandwich lacked flavor. It was topped with coleslaw, 1,000 island dressing, and Swiss cheese; each of those toppings were so light that the taste was primarily the bread and fish. Service wise, the restaurant was great. It was little time (maybe 1-2 minutes) between arrival and when I was seated. The waitress was prompt with a great sense of urgency in speed of service. For my recommendation, I remain neutral for this restaurant.

My parents and I came here today for dinner, we had a $20 Groupon deal. (right now it's pay $13, get $20 to use - wait until Groupon is 20% off, then you can get it for $10.40: http://bit.ly/2Xy0bJo) I have been here before but apparently have never written a review. Their pizza is always solid, and that was the case tonight as well. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms to start, which were delicious and served with a side of ranch; however, you do only get five mushrooms (and there were three of us). They are stuffed with cheese and some sort of garlic butter, I believe. We also ordered a large BBQ chicken pizza, which was also delicious. It has ten slices so it was more than enough for three people, and probably even could serve four people. I believe it was $16.95 too, which is a reasonable price. Waitservice was kind of meh; it took our waitress about 5-10 minutes to approach our table at the start, and eventually she brought us waters. She was good with refills though, I will say that. Come here for the pizza, they also do weekly deals - I think on Sundays it's buy 1 get 1 free burger, with the purchase of 2 beverages, from 12-4pm only though. They also had $3 wines tonight, guessing they were house wines.

After finding out our restaurant of choice was closed my father-in-law suggested this place. I said I didn't really like this place because I'd been here several times and was very dissatisfied with the food and experience. We came anyway, so I thought I'd give it another chance. Needless to say, I was right with my first instinct. I thought the server was nice, helpful, and insightful, she was accommodating and answered all of my questions. She worked hard and brought us everything we needed, but seemed to experience some massive miscommunication with my father-in-law. He was not happy about his experience here. He had ordered a salmon salad, but she brought him salmon and macaroni and cheese. He insisted that he told her several times, but his wrong order was never fixed and he was stuck with the wrong food, which also cost $5 more than what he actually ordered. I got steak tips which came with onions, peppers, humus and pita. The zip sauce was great and the steak cooked well, but the pita and humus had no flavor and tasted like it came from a food service, not made on site. The burger tasted like a school lunch with tots from the freezer section. The macaroni and cheese was very dry and lacked flavor and cheesiness. The Alfredo was very bland, I could make it better at home! The mashed potatoes came in a heaping serving with unmelted shredded cheese on top. They had no flavor whatsoever. While the portions were big I should have listened to my instincts and insisted we go elsewhere. We'll know for next time.

The food and service is usually pretty good. Main complaint is it is very noisy with lots of tv's and background noise. Lots of families. Casual vibe.

Let it be known: The sliders are not sliders. It's 4 regular sized deconstructed cheeseburgers with not the best meat inside. Onions rings were awesome though.

Went for dinner last night and it was Wine Thursday I was hesitant to get the house Pino Noir but it was good. Split one topping pizza which was also a special and got a side salad which is their Pub salad. So yummy. Guys said the loaded potato soup was delicious too. The favorite? Chicken Tortilla soup. They have THE BEST. Our waitress, which I'm sad to say I didn't get her name, was great.

I've been here twice, and both times I have been dissatisfied with my food. Today, I ordered the steak medallions. I let my server know that I wanted it medium. (She didn't ask)..food comes back in less than 10 minutes. I cut into my steak and it's RAW. I kindly let my server know and she takes my meat away on a plate (as I am left with a half empty plate with nothing but onion rings. She comes back with my BLACK STEAK. I couldn't even cut into it. And when I tried to give it a taste (cooked well done, KILLED my steak). This entree is 15$. You had two tries, and now I had to have my food sent my back and waited, A THIRD TIME while my date finished his meal. How pathetic. Do you guys have "cooks" that have any idea what they are doing? The cow was already dead, you didn't need to char it beyond recognition. Now this entire experience was just downright shit show. You've got my two people sitting at a table and only ONE eating. When my food FINALLY came back, it wasn't even good. Should I have to request salt and pepper on my steak? Come here for bar food, and beer. That's all the faith this place is getting from me.

The bartender Ally (I think) is incredible. Definitely the rockstar of that bar. Kind, attentive and all around fun. 5 stars just for her!

Had dinner here for the first time in a very very long time. The blackened fish tacos were excellent and the stuffed chicken my husband said was great. They be short staffed like most restaurants but our server made everything perfect and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant.

I would say the food and drinks are just ok, but it was a good vibe and Covid practices seemed to be top of mind. We'll return. Drinks: wife enjoyed her beer. I ordered a Kentucky Mule (bourbon), but was accidentally served a regular Dutch so got to try both. Honestly, neither was that good. I'll stick to beer in the future here. Food: buffalo dip was tasty. Fish tacos were huge (three tacos, each with two pieces of fish) as was the turkey reuben (at least 7 slices of turkey? massive). Both were solid if unspectacular. Tables were super spaced out and we felt as safe as could be, especially good on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere. They were already doing the contact tracing survey via the online menu, though the submit button didn't work. My only complaint: please, please improve your website! The menu is an absolute chore to view on a mobile device, and it's not much better on a computer either. We used the QR code to view on our phones, but looks like paper menus are available if you ask.

Stopped in to pick up our takeout order and the bar was packed with no social distancing and most patrons without masks. Food was fine but I would not recommend dining in. Definitely not taking safety seriously.

Got a carry out burger and it was literally raw like you would see beef in the package. The bun was all so soggy it fell apart. I think I would have got better food at Applebee's. What in the world happened to the quality of this place?!? I took one bite before I realized. I really hope I don't get sick!

My family and I have eaten here for years. Today was our first visit in a long time and I couldn't even eat my food because my chicken was RAW. I won't be coming back.

Place is HORRIBLE. Avoid and save your money and appetite. Fajitas was carrots and tomatoes hamburger well done was raw. Club sandwich had a bacon crumble and was dry. Soup came in a small condiment container. Place is a joke. Waiter appeared annoyed that he had a customer.

Place is trash. Servers are nice but the food is nasty and the cutlery is dirty. Respect yourself and eat somewhere else, you're better than this place.

The Bistro steaks were over cooked for my medium rare order and the onion straws were burnt. After I mentioned the burnt onion straws the waitress did not even suggest a discount. The baked potato was good!

First time here and hubby and I were pleasantly surprised. Pretzel bites were some of the best I've tried. Steak and blue cheese salad was excellent and different. Hubby loved his pizza. Stuffed mushrooms were weird. They were battered and deep fried. I liked the taste but hubby didn't care too much for them. If u like deep fried batter, you'll love them. Beers were cold and they have a nice outside seating area. My only complaint was that our waiter had no personality and wasn't very attentive. Felt like we were a bother to him. Will definitely be back to try more stuff.

Went there twice so far, I like it. Service is good. Fast and friendly. Food is great to average, depending on what you order. Nachos were very good, with tasty cheese sauce and large amount of well seasoned ground beef. My fish tacos were excellent. Loved them. Fajitas were ok.... nothing really to complain about, just not very tasty. Overall, though, we liked the place and will be definitely coming back.

Library is a regular stop and my go to is the Chicken Tortilla Soup. EVERY.TIME. This place has all the typical bar fare and a pretty good pizza. Lots of TV's for sports, the service is usually pretty good and it has a ton of seating so the waits, when there is one, is usually pretty short. Its one those fail safe places you go to on the regular because they have enough on the menu to always find something you'll like. This place is nothing special TBH but there is a place like this in every town in America. It has its place but I am not going to be like "You should totally go there" but I also wouldn't tell you not to go there. Its reliable bar food, plain and simple.

I've been here a few times, usually just for drinks but this time we had dinner. It's super casual, large dining areas and bar, even outdoor seating. They have a pretty big menu, mostly all bar type food. I was trying to be healthy and got a salad, and was surprised at the selection and portion sizes. I tried the southwestern salad with bbq sauce-it was good but too much sauce on the chicken. Overall this is a great casual place to hangout for drinks/appetizers and watch a game.

The evening started with me standing at the bar for no less than 25 minutes waiting for someone to clear the dirty plates and glasses away so we could sit down. I finally saw a bartender and asked if anyone was clearing the dishes at some point as we have been waiting. Granted, these guys are under stuffed and probably frustrated. I felt bad for asking him to possibly clear the plates so we could sit. Then he explained how they were under staffed and that I was a dick. I kind of feel like the staff at a resturaunt shouldn't call the customers names. He said I was rude but know he over reacted because he clearly is overworked and under staffed. Still no excuse to be nasty to customers. I recall wasn't rude.

The food was awful. Chips and queso: think of the cheap prepackaged lunchables you used to bring or packed for your kids when going to school. Steak fajita: super dry and and prepared really sloppy Buffalo chicken wrap: chicken was super dry, no buffalo flavor, no bleu cheese even though it advertised it with it Our waitress barely came to our table for and had to ask for the simplest things that a waiter should already know we need. Just don't waste your time here if you're hungry.

Unfriendly staff. Unless you are a regular, you will be mostly ignored. I've been here three times, and each time, ponytail man made us feel like a bother for asking for any thing. He was cocky enough to not write down our orders and of course they came out wrong. He disappeared after our food was brought out so I had to flag down a second, equally unfriendly person. After "fixing" it, they gave me the same plate, now with cold tater tots (gross) and FYI, when you order a sandwich that has cheddar cheese, it's shredded and obviously drops all over the place. Leave expectations at the door, and whatever you do, don't sit at the bar.

I have to be gluten free for medical reasons. This has become one of my go-to restaurants. I can get any sandwich on GF bread, and it's as yummy as I can get anywhere! We've always had good service, and excellent food.

For many years while I lived in Michigan I enjoyed this place in the evening for good bar food... a good salad... and there was always good service... But I have been away a year. And my visit tonight was the worst. I had a Chicken Cesar salad... which before was crisp and tasty... Now.... cold chicken... soggy greens that appeared to be a week old... I didn't even finish half... The Mozzarella bread was overcooked and rubbery... And the service.... poor to say the least. Serving my dinner without silverware... I had to wait to the bartenders eventually found the time to make my end of the bar following their conversation among staff... Any service required them to find the time to break away from their regulars... I ask for coffee with cream and splenda...well... the lukewarm coffee is delivered in a almoset clean glass cup and with no cream... at the very least the staff is inattentive to instructions... I spent many years as their patron in the past.... but after being away and for a while and coming back.... I will never go back again. So for your decision making .... go there for a drink.... but don't even think about eating... And don't for a minute think you will feel welcome unless you are a regular.

My girlfriend and I decided to check this place out on a lunch date. We were rather disappointed. First, when I arrived I had to hunt somebody down just to find out whether or not we would need to seat ourselves since no one was at the greeter booth. Once I spoke with someone who said to "Seat yourselves, and I will send someone right over." Well, 30 minutes later the waitress waited on us. If the place was busy, I would have understood. However, there was about 10 people in the pub. Next, the food. On the menu it looked fairly priced and sounded good. Contrary to that, the food that we received was terrible. My girlfriend's 3 alarm burger came with shredded lettuce from a bag, her fruit looked like it came from a can, and her burger was not cooked correctly. She asked for medium and got medium well. As far as my food, I ordered the corned beef Ruben. The sandwich was bland, the coleslaw that came with it was warm, like it had been sitting out for a while. And, the fries I had ordered as my side were worse than fast food fries. At the end, I paid the $23 bill and reluctantly gave a 15% tip. We will not be back again.

They had been open a while I decided I was in the mood for bar food. I found the atmosphere on the nicer end of the bar category and I was impressed at how varied their menu selections were. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and made jokes. Our food quickly arrived and I was pleasantly surprised to learn this is not your average bar food. They clearly use fresher ingredients and made their food with care. Very reasonably priced as well. I'm a regular now.

I appreciate Library Pub as a bar and used to really enjoy the original one on Grand River in Novi. Used to be the best pizza around and offered a pitcher of beer with two filled mugs in accompaniment which is a nice touch. I don't think they offer that pitcher deal any longer that I know of and the pizza isn't quite up to par any longer. This location is much larger than the original and had a game room in the back. Beer selection is pretty good and some of the food is decent. I'd stick to the traditional wings or maybe a burger but everything else I've had has been just okay. Had a mushroom bacon Swiss chicken sandwich and baked potato; potato was kind of tough and the sandwich was ok. Had to add some hot sauce or it was pretty dry. It's a local watering hole in an otherwise dry area so I appreciate it as a local staple. My only wish is that they tried a little harder to be above average. Go the extra mile in food quality, in tap selections, in special offerings, and overall environment. I'll go here once in a while but I'd really like it to be my first choice when it comes to a local bar/ pub that offers it all. When it comes to a place to watch the game, this is about it in terms of a sports bar in the area really. Perhaps that's all they need to corner that market. Either way it's an okay place; In between great and not so much.

Great place to get a drink, watch a game and get some bar food. Don't go to buffalo wild wings during gameday, you can better service and fresher food here.

Stopped for impromptu lunch. Was recommended the tortilla soup - it would have been good, but thick as pudding, more cumin than I like and more salty than I believe anyone likes. The club sandwich was good, but not the classic triple decker setup. The restaurant was 20% full at best, so the protracted wait for my food was a little frustrating and then when I asked for my bill when the food arrived and then the nice waitress didn't get the hint that I wanted to get out of there and had a long chat with a customer at the next table next to me and then passed me by toward her next stop edged toward irritating. My last visit here...

Hubby and I have been here a few times recently. Their food really is better than regular bar fare. Way better. They have added a notable new item to their menu: sweet potato tater tots. Can you say yum?! A generous portion is served with a side of honey cinnamon sauce. The combination tastes uncannily like a Burger King french toast stick dipped in syrup. Only this is better!

Waitress decent, but overwhelmed with 7 tables. She didn't put in one of our meals. Meals sat for long time before served. Cold product life fruit and cottage cheese warmed by heat lamp. Salmon, steak, chicken barely warm. The fresh mixed vegetables were so dry they began to shrivel. I paid a total of $29 for this. Seriously one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. Manager offered to remake items, we declined. We did not complain to get something, we hope they will listen.

I've never had a bad experience here. Some have been slower on service than others, but all around it's consistent. I haven't had a bad meal either. I mean, whatever you want I've probably tried. Rubens, burgers, sammiches, fries this, tater tots that. Their house salad is very creative, and I love the big portion & bread stick. Mozzarella cheese bread appetizer is killer. They have great buttermilk ranch. Also, seasoned add on for your fries is key. I always get the seasoned tater tots. YUM! This is a well established place, with a great following. Pretty much posting my review to add to the star rating. If you are considering this place, just go and order something you normally enjoy at a pub. See how they do it, love it, like it, or hate.

Good place to grab a beer and a bite to eat after work or during a game. The prices are reasonable, and this pub has an assortment of food that can cover all of the basics. The service is generally prompt and courteous.

I've been coming to the Library for years and I've enjoyed every visit to this bar. It's a great place to go and watch a game especially during football season. Respectable tap list, good service and good bar food. Great spot to go if you want a night out at the bar.

Hello all, I was so eager to come home and write this review. First, it took a server about 10-15 minutes to greet my sister & I, considering there was only 5 people in the restaurant. So long story short I didn't have my wallet with me I came with my older sister. After wasting 15 minutes of my precious time waiting for a server to finish serving the 5 people. She comes over to tell us that we need to be 21 to eat at the restaurant (its easter night and theres like 4 people total eating at this point). I continued to tell her that my wallet wasn't with me but she didn't seem to interested. I am so disappointed that this happened. She approached me as if I was a peasant.

Food is fairly consistent. Staff is friendly. Decor somewhat dated however clean. Gluten free burger buns. French dip is good and when on a gluten free bun It meets the needs for a gluten free choice. Yummy pizza with many topping selections. Menu large enough to meet the need of any picky eater; I understand the Fettuccine Alfredo with garlic bread is good.lol

What happened?! This place went from one of my favorite "Go-to" bar/restaurant in the area to one that I will probably not be attending again. The quality of food and service went downhill. Their veteran waitresses are gone (probably because their tips disappeared from their consistently small crowds), their bartenders seemed to be pouring with a light hand and their staple food items (pizza, chili, nachos) are left desiring for other options. My friends and I have been loyal customers for over 9 years but I think it is time to wave the white flag, return our library card(s) and find a new local sports bar to call "home".

We had been here several times when it first opened but hadn't been in quite some time. I'm happy to report it is just as good as it always was! We took my Mom and her husband here for dinner on Friday night a couple of weeks ago. We didn't get there until about 6:00 P.M. but were still able to get seats right away. The place quickly filled up after that. 30 minutes later and we would have been waiting. Service was excellent! Drink orders were taken promptly and just enough time elapsed after the drinks arrived that our server was back to take our dinner order. We each ordered a different entree and everybody was happy. Roger liked his steak. Mom raved about her french dip sandwich all weekend. I had the fish and chips. It was also great. There was a lot of activity with all the big screen televisions but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. I highly recommend this place for a drink and casual dining.

I've gone back to Library Pub at least half a dozen times. They are great on main entree dishes (eg. steak and chicken dishes) and the mac'n'cheese is simply heavenly. Sweet potato fries are over seasoned. Maybe they taste better with beer? I was really excited to try finally try the Raspberry Walnut Chicken salad but was terribly disappointed - they just use iceberg lettuce! HORROR. I think I'd still enjoy going back with friends but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
