A nice quiet and quaint place to sit for a moment in time and enjoy along awaited ice cream treat before the summer arrives while still watching calories as needed. The Marshmallow Champagne free scoop was a delight, so I bought a cone for the scoop. I had signed up for their promotional ad and got there before my code ran its course. Their flavor names are different from the norm, but good. Generally, I would get chocolate, swirl, or something with nuts. Wow!!!! The BEST ICE CREAM EVER. This ice cream is out of this world! They have amazing flavors and their price are good. Totally worth it. I will be back always!!!!!

I loved all of the unique flavors at this ice cream shop. My husband and I shared: - Goat Cheese, Thyme, & Honey - Roasted Beets & Fresh Mint - Sweet Cream & Strawberry - Lady Bird Lavender Crisp I enjoyed all of them--Sweet Cream & Strawberry was my favorite. Usually strawberry ice cream isn't my go to because I like weirder flavors, but this one was really good.

We are super glad that Lick expanded to Houston! It is always a go to stop when we are in San Antonio. Today my husband and I tried the seasonal flavor Peppermint Bark, I’d definitely have it again. One of my favorite flavors is Roasted Beets and Fresh Mint, I only tried it because my daughter wanted to taste the pink ice cream, but I loved its freshness. The prices are higher at Lick than some national chain ice cream stores, but are right on par with other locally made ice cream shops. I really appreciate the lack of artificially dyed and flavored ice creams at Lick and the local sourcing of ingredients. Highly recommend a visit.

I was excited to have Lick Honest Ice Cream after so many years. The flavors don’t disappoint and have remained the same over the years. I ordered a single scoop. I’ll admit, it’s a big pricey given the size, but I enjoyed it. There is some inside seating and plenty of parking given it’s in a shopping center.

I was greeted with smiling faces even before I stepped in! This isn’t just your ordinary scoop, this is extremely smooth & creamy also rich! Get the Chocolate Chip Cookies & Cream! This was recommended to me by the GM Cat! It tasted just like my all time favorite, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, but tbh even better!! Had a stressful week, so ending it with some yummy ice cream really filled me up with joy! They start away from traditional flavors, but they do have a good variety to choose from. I went with the candied pecan with bourbon They have good prices and very sweet employees They don't have seating The best part is that most of their items are biodegradable a win for sustainability

Talk about a hidden gem! I am at this shopping center every 3 months for a hair appointment. Anddd the way I have never noticed this place until I arrived extra early one day! This ice is sooo good and creamery with uniquely crafted flavors. The origin story of the ice cream shop is pretty cool too. Any who I decided to check this place out after my hair appointment and I got 3 scoops in a cup so I could try a variety of flavors at once. I tried coffee with cream,dark chocolate olive oil, and hill country honey and vanilla bean. That ice cream hit in 10! So so good I highly reccomend! They also have vegan options and flavors that are only available seasonally! The shop is tucked into a shopping center, it is kind of small inside but cute and quaint! If you are ever in west university area do check this place out!

This artisanal ice cream shop offers a wide variety of truly unique flavors. Lick prides themselves in using the purest of ingredients, and those flavors pack a delicious and satisfying punch. The ice cream shop attendant was very friendly and helpful. Also, the shop was clean and inviting. The shop itself is in an outlet, and it's not easily seen from the road (blink and you might miss it) Some tips: Definitely taste a handful of flavors before making your decision. There are pints and delicious pre-made ice cream sandwiches available in a freezer. Also, Lick offers a pet-friendly dog ice cream mini-pint. Cheers!!

This ice cream was so delicious and very creamy. They have very unique flavors including some new holiday flavors! I got the gingerbread and the sugar cookie flavors and they were both outstanding. I can't wait to go back again and try more flavors. The service was good, but the only thing is parking is a bit limited. There are only a few spots right in front of the store, otherwise, you have to park a bit further out and walk, which was fine for me because this place was a must try

My friends and I came here for some ice cream after dinner. All their flavors are really amazing. Normally I get the goat thyme honey ice cream , but I went with the caramel salt this time and it was pretty good.. the goat, thyme, honey ice cream was really strong in the thyme this time. So even if you are a regular, you should sample the one you're thinking about getting first before you get it in a cup or cone. The waffle bowls are very crunchy. If you're not a big fan of sweets, I would recommend the dark chocolate olive oil . Their worker was pretty chill, and he is fine with giving us all the samples we wanted before ordering and didn't make us feel bad for asking so much. There are limited tables and chairs and inside. We were a group of seven people I think we took up half the available chairs. Tables are clean. The vases with real flowers is a cute touch but it definitely needed a water change or maybe go with a non see through vase? Parking is free and out front.

I've had this ice cream shop on my bookmark list for a while now. Finally checked it out. Small, clean, and nice inside. Seating available. Staff was great. You're able to samlple the different flavors before choosing. I went with the Caramel apple cake and waffle cone. Will try a different flavor next visit.

I've never seen such unprofessionalism in such a long time. We came out our way to try Lick ice cream and the store was closed 30 min early. Like the lights were off and no one was there at all. Clearly someone wanted to go home early. Very disappointing.

I only have good things to say about Lick! We came in late on a Sunday night and the gentleman that helped us was so kind and patient. Great service! We tried a bunch of flavors and finally narrowed it down to two. I will definitely be back. This location is quiet and slow-- nice place to enjoy your ice cream after you make your selections!

Houston heat can be very disrespectful, but it does not have to be that way if you have the know how to survive. One of the survival techniques cold, fresh Ice cream, yogurt or sorbets. I lucked up upon this establishment which is only one of two locations thus far so you know the Yelper in me was like, Dive in! The selection is phenomenal and the Seasonal selection was a bonus. If you unsure of what flavor you want..psst they will let you try a few samples. I have never seen some of the combinations that Lick Honest Ice Cream have on their menu and I could only try one this day and that would be Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil and Sea Salt. The ice cream did not melt too fast and was creamy and sweet. My goal now is to try a different flavor every time I come here. They support local farmers and artisans; in addition, to Cones For A Cause. The store is bright, energetic with tables for small groups and a bar with seating facing the parking lot to people watch or bask in the sun.

I'm so happy Houston got a Lick Honest Ice Cream, and it's even better that it's in a great location! It's very close to where I live, and it's in a plaza with a HUGE parking lot, so you will never have a problem with parking when coming here. My favorite flavors that I've tried from here are: -coffee with cream -dark chocolate, olive oil, and sea salt -fresh mint and chocolate chunk -Texas sheet cake I definitely want to eventually try each flavor here. These flavors are all super unique and so delicious! Very casual and cute vibes in here too. The workers are also very friendly and helpful. This is a great ice cream spot that I would recommend.

Saw and advertisement that they were giving out free scoops today 3-5pm and decided to try it. Of course we came after the free scoop rush cause this is Houston and I'm not about to stand outside in 100 degree weather for one scoop. Upon entering, the establishment was extremely small with only two tables and a bar sitting area. It was still rather crowded even though the free scoop period was over. There were only two scoopers, which made the line slower. Kudos to them for having unique flavors though! One of the ones we ordered was beet and basil along with blueberry crumble in a waffle bowl. They were rather delicious and it was obvious their waffle bowls were freshly made. We sat down for a bit, but didn't stay long as it felt way too overcrowded and claustrophobic. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but will definitely visit if I'm in the area again.

Lick's ice cream is delightful. I tasted a few samples and opted for a pint of the Texas Sheet Cake ice cream and a half pint of the Dark Chocolate, Olive Oil, and Sea Salt ice cream--both were so good, and I appreciated how they had half pints of a few flavors. The service was very nice--the servers were helpful and friendly and were happy to let me try samples. Just note that the store was a little hard to find because their sign isn't up yet--it's right next to Antone's. As with other high-end, gourmet ice creams recently (think Van Leeuwen, Tiny's Milk & Cookies, Jeni's, etc.), this ice cream is pretty pricy, coming in at $11 for a pint and $7 for a half pint.

I'm sooo excited lick is here in Houston!!! I loved this place when I was living in Austin, so I'm glad it's finally here. I love their Texas sheet cake and caramel salt lick flavors! It's my to go to everyday flavors they have. Today, I tried their seasonal flavors-honeyed peaches with rosemary, chocolate chip cookies and cream, and blueberry crumble. I also tried a dewberry flavor that was very good! The employee was so nice and the store was very clean. We were able to try flavors before picking our scoops, so service was great! They're opening a second location in Autry Park that's opening soon. I went ahead and got a tshirt while I was there and a scoop society membership. Can't wait to be coming back more often!

Just drove by this place and it's just across the street from my work. I came in around 5 o'clock. Just left everything and greeted me. The ice cream flavors looks really good. I picked the Texas sheet on cake cone, which was really good, was fresh and ice cream was on the spot.

Lick is here in Houston!!! On National Ice Cream Day, we stopped by for their grand opening as they're offering free scoops for everyone who comes by! I sampled their Dewberry Corn Cobbler, Blueberry Crumbler, and their Peach Oat Crisp. I ultimately decided to get a cup of the Peach Oat Crisp, but all three were fantastic flavors. I had a bite of my friend's Honey Peach with Rosemary flavor which was also a solid choice. So happy to have Lick in the neighborhood now!! The service was fast and friendly which made the wait worthwhile and much shorter than you'd expect for a grand opening event!

Yum Yum AND YUM I will say the flavor took me some adjustment, BUT it was worth it. They are traditional flavors though. Prices are reasonable, and the people were exceptional. Craftsmanship. Go go go!

Very interesting flavors, extremely friendly staff, clean place and great location. A bit expensive for the amount you get. I got a few small cups for my kids and I dare say this place serves the smallest amounts by far--which doesn't bother me in the least, especially for kids cups--I hate when it melts (in this Texas heat!) and drips everywhere. However, the price does not reflect that whatsoever. The flavors my kids got weren't that memorable for me either, but they enjoyed them. I did sample the sea salt which was very good, but not my personal favorite type of ice cream to begin with, so I didn't end up with any for myself anyway.

I was excited to try the flavors that were advertised. However, I found most of them were understated and mild. I tried samples of a number and bought several anyway. A strawberry flavor had no real taste of strawberry, same with cherry, lavender, and cilantro/lime without a deep flavor of lime, mild of cilantro. The ideas behind the flavors were what drew me there. But there are many ice cream stores where the taste is more full and identifiable. I really wanted to like it.

We tried this (Austin-based) new Houston location today. It's a small shop in a retail strip center. Lisa R had forewarned me that she gave it thumbs down as far as flavor compared to Jeni's & the Chocolate Bar's ice cream shops. Well I have to agree with her. The ice cream flavors looked appealing, but after ordering, it wasn't the fabulous flavors I'm used to enjoying at the two above mentioned competitors. While service was certainly friendly, the size of the ice cream scoops left me wondering how my waffle cone was barely showing any ice cream sticking out of it. Since I have had many other ice cream shops ice cream scoops in a waffle cone, I have to say this was the skimpiest portion ever! There were 3 of us here earlier this evening and each one of us said, no this isn't the best tasting ice cream. It just did not have that rich wow flavor we're used to enjoying. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Delicious ice cream and friendly staff. Right next to molinas in Bellaire, though the sign isn't up yet. I encourage everyone to go. New and creative flavor combinations and some regular flavors.

Wow...back I go...guess I can't get enough of a problem place. Mainly I love the product. And today, I left a tip for the person working. Note to self..one person, not the two evil men who are there in the evenings. So, for the management. The person on duty Tuesday at 6:00 was extremely nice and helpful. However, your credit card machine still leaves a bit to be desired. Despite many attempts to use my Vanilla Gift card...see, I don't want you to know my name or send me emails...well, the person could not get it to work. So, before walking out empty handed...I asked politely...do you take cash? Well of course we do. Really, well the two men who work here refused and said they did not take cash..oh except that tip jar. This time I vowed to walk out if you folks got my credit card. But very politely the employee took my green bills and I put some in the tip jar...even though I only bought a pint of ice cream. So, get that stinking machine to work...and maybe even give receipts...and maybe just maybe, I'll leave a better review.

My family loves Lick ice cream. The flavors are unique and delicious, and their staff is always friendly. It's our favorite ice cream shop in Houston. You can even take pints to go. We recommend the coffee and cream flavor, Texas sheet cake, and any of the seasonal flavors.
