This delightful family café is a true gem! I recently visited with my daughter, and we had an incredible experience. The arepas were exceptional, and the "cachitos" bread stuffed with Ham was absolutely delicious. The chai latte was the perfect complement to the cozy fall weather. With inviting outdoor seating and a charming book box offering selections for both adults and children, this place stands out. The service was top-notch; the owners took the time to serve the dishes and ensured that all guests felt content. You can also chop merch like T-shirts, coffee and small accessories. Joaquin was friendly, knowledgeable during my checkout, making our visit even more enjoyable. This is definitely a spot worth revisiting! If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this lovely café.

A nice and inexpensive cafe to go grab coffee. I'm not a coffee fan, I expected that there would be fresh juices or lemonades, but unfortunately there is only watermelon fresh lemonade, which is not so much to my taste, but there is a small refrigerator where few types of bottled lemonades and energy drinks, which pleased me.

I recently visited Liebre Cafe in Brooklyn and was thoroughly impressed. The staff greeted me with warmth and friendliness, making the atmosphere inviting right from the start. I ordered a double-shot cappuccino, which was expertly made and delicious — a perfect pick-me-up. But the real highlight of my visit was the 'Cachito,' a ham-filled pastry that stole the show. The ham was savory and of high quality, complemented beautifully by the dough's subtle sweetness. It's a must-try for anyone visiting the cafe. Overall, a delightful experience that left me eager to return.

It's a beautiful day in Brooklyn NY and I have uncovered another amazing cafe in the beautiful diverse neighborhood of Sunset Park. Liebre Cafe sits cozy on an idyllic tree lined corner of the heart of the neighborhood, steps away from the iconic hilltop of sunset park. Edgy spanish music greets you in this warm, naturally bright space with several different types of seating. A small case of baked goods, some specialty menu items and a medium sized beverage menu calls out your name. Im always wary of ordering my go-to matcha latte when it appears on the "other drinks" menu. As an empanada lover the mushroom spinach empanada was calling out to me. Cashier who is also a barista was super nice and attentive. He warmed the empanada for me, and got me my matcha latte quickly. The matcha was a beautiful green color, the milk frothed nicely with just enough ice. I was very impressed by how well this drink was made. The empanada was also very delicious. It was a baked empanada but the shell was thin and not excessively doughy. The thick chimmichurri style dipping sauce on the side was herby and savory and so so delicious; kind of like a cross between pesto and chimmichurri. I highly recommend asking for this if you're eating an empanada here. Overall I found this establishment cozy and inviting and a great place to relax or get some work done. I will definitely be coming by here again!!

1PM on a Saturday afternoon, I was hoping to check out this cafe I bookmarked for a while now since moving to Sunset Park. I was looking forward to their Cachito since it's the top pastry I've read about. Alas they were out and we were the fourth person who asked for it. Sad face. We made the trip so we tried the spinach empanada instead, which came with some chimichurri sauce on the side which was nice. The empanada was still warm (I was worried it wouldn't be as it was just in the window), and it was baked which is much healthier than typical empanadas. Worth coming back.

I had a hot cappuccino, tasty. The ambiance and service were good. It is near the Sunset park which makes the cafe quite.

This is what used to be called Sun House Cafe, they recently changed the name. I was going to write that this is the only cafe left in Brooklyn where they don't play music so you can actually focus on other stuff if you want to, but then they put on Spotify. Oh well. Still the best coffee in sunset park. Service is friendly, even when the customers are super weird. The espresso coffee drinks are well made and on the cheaper side. And holy cow that's a strong roast! They have soy, almond and oat milks for an extra 50c. There are also nice pastries, including savory vegetarian options, and they do sandwiches as well. They get a lot of natural light, and it's a nice place to sit and watch the sky change as the sun sets. There's no card minimum and they also take cash. I think the unmarked door is a gender neutral restroom but I haven't seen anyone go in there.

The new Liebre cafe was recently sold to the current owners, previously known as Sun House Cafe, their flaw was that their coffee brewing and selection was mediocre. I had hope that this one would be better, but nope. Here are the supporting facts. Last week or so I paid for a Chai latte and it tasted awful. I told the barista and she made me another one, diluted & super spicy. Then she told the male owner and he had me me try a few more versions with different ratios of water to Chai tea asking me to help him taste test and experiment for his benefit. WOW, seriously?! You would think he offer me a refund or something else on the menu, instead I realized I was paying him for me to be his guinea pig. I was so full of liquids and felt gross. You should NEVER have something on the menu if you have no idea how to make it. I should have just stopped coming. My last visit yesterday, I ordered two coffees for me and my wife. The coffee was alright. The owner had a stamp card, but was very adamant on her policy that I only get one stamp not two because I paid for my wife's coffee in one transaction. Tell me what cafe does this in NYC? You buy two coffees you get two stamps. I told her and she just smiled back blankly. But here's the cherry on top... My wife ordered a skim latte and the female owner said she has skim milk, but it has been expired for one day. She then asked my wife if she still wants the expired milk, since she recently drank it and it tasted fine. No joke. You can't even make this shit up. The owner offered expired milk instead of going to the deli next door and buying a new bottle. My wife turned down her expired skim milk and chose the soy milk instead. She then topped off her cheapness by charging 50 cents extra for the soy milk. Let me get this straight, because my wife rejected your expired skim milk, her options are either to drink her coffee black or get charged 50 cents for an alternate milk?! The owner surpassed a level of cheapness I didn't even know existed!! What planet did she come from? Clearly the owners are delusional and have no clue know how to run a cafe. Put your money elsewhere guys.

Very small and cozy cafe next to sunset park. The music is soft and gives you the perfect balance of concentration and relaxation. I came by on a Saturday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. Rather I had the whole place to myself! The staff here is very genuine and easy going as well.

One word defines Liebre Cafe: great. Great for a group of friends. These guys certainly have a phenomenal menu too. Crew is super pleasant and will certainly help you with anything. Probability of going back to Liebre Cafe: 100%

First off, the employees are very nice. If you're trying to find a place that hassome of the best mocha, this is the place. It's the right amount of caffeine and chocolate and it hits the spot. Also, their apple and cheddar scones are really good too.

This is a new place that we found, I was tired of the same food around where I live and surprisedly a pic of Venezuelan bread pop out and we went there to check it out! The Venezuelan bread "cachito" were very good! Fresh and warm, the coffee were also tasty. Servers are nice and definitely this is a place that you want to come, get a good breakfast and relax!

Today I went to Liebre to get an Ice Espresso and a lemon cake. The service was amazing. The owners are so nice and we had an engaging conversation. They have outdoor seating and very good COVID restrictions and take the prevention of the virus very seriously. I go to this place so much to get a treat after a run or to go with a friend. I definitely recommend this for everyone in Brooklyn who would like to support a local cafe.

What a cute little cafe! I originally wanted to order the matcha latte but decided to go with the baby-ccino after asking the barista. It has cinnamon and honey. I'm not a huge cinnamon fan but wow, I LOVED IT. I sat outside and finished it quicker than I thought. It was very nice of the barista to pop out the cafe and ask me how it was. Super friendly, definitely going to be my go-to cafe!

Cute cafe with delicious drinks, pastries and friendly owners. I appreciate that they have started the practice of a punch card like other area cafés. I wish they had kept some of the food/ options from Sun House such as the avocado toast and the Vietnamese latté. One recommendation would be to place the sugar and stirrers by the window instead of by the cash register so that it is easier to fix your drink and not crowd up the counter.

This place is amazing! The service to the food you cannot beat in the area. The spot has changed a few times over the years, I think it's found the right owner and product to provide its community. Give it a try!

I stopped in the Liebre Cafe today and had a very pleasant cup of coffee in a cozy atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud. The view out the window lovely. Everyone there is friendly. I can highly recommend it.
