Natural wine bar with rotating pop-ups and delicious pizzas

"Light Sleeper is an attractive wine bar at Chophouse Row that works well for any last-minute occasion that warrants a glass of natural bubbles and fancy bites like cornichons, baguette and butter, or anchovies slick with lemon oil. Occasionally, there’s tasty pizza on special, too, with toppings like meatball and cacio e pepe. Especially major props to Light Sleeper’s lovely indoor-outdoor seating for people-watching during the warmer months." - aimee rizzo
"We forget about this Capitol Hill natural wine bar’s existence often. But then we quickly become glad it’s here, in all of its drapey-vined, blonde-wooded, teeny-tiled glory. Funky juice is the name of their game, and you’ll also find some satisfactory pizzas topped with fancy combinations like sopressata and fennel confit. Split some prosciutto and focaccia for the table and relish in the sounds of Chophouse Row’s courtyard, which range from a gentle breeze to friends exchanging shrieks." - aimee rizzo
"Light Sleeper is an attractive natural wine bar where Paul and Micah talk about their future and the surplus of clothing that Micah owns. Admittedly, the scene is kind of a snooze fest, with the most exciting part being when the server accidentally drops a piece of silverware. Nevertheless, we applaud Paul and Micah for ordering some fancy snacks like cornichons and anchovies slicked with lemon oil—otherwise, the menu here is just OK. Ultimately, major props to Light Sleeper’s lovely indoor-outdoor window seat for looking nice on camera." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

"The wine bar Light Sleeper shows no signs of letting up." - Sophie Grossman
"Light Sleeper is an attractive wine bar at Chophouse Row that works well for any occasion that warrants a glass of natural bubbles and fancy bites like cornichons, baguette and butter, or anchovies slick with lemon oil. Occasionally, there’s tasty pizza on special, with toppings like meatball and cacio e pepe—otherwise, the rag-tag menu of drinking snacks is just fine, and we’d sooner send you to La Dive down the street if you’re looking for serious food with your glass of skin contact. But major props to Light Sleeper’s lovely indoor-outdoor seating for people-watching during the warmer months." - Aimee Rizzo
