Where to Enjoy a Glass of Chardonnay in The Bay Area This Summer | Eater

"It’s hard to get more “on the water” than this Mill Valley go-to, which sits amidst the small ships docked off Richardson Bay. Getting a table on the restaurant’s deck is a must, especially during the summer. Lounge under a patio umbrella, watch the ships go by, sip from a glass of Harken, and dig into the crab cakes. It’s a brunch favorite, as well, with the San Francisco Benedict (with crab and lobster salad) as the star." - Vox Creative

Let me preface my review by stating that I know the reviews seem to be all over the place, I think it matters when you go or if there's an event etc. I can't speak to any of those things, only been here once by chance and was thoroughly pleased. We stopped in the early evening on a Saturday 10/26/24, just in time to get half off of appetizers. Views were great, was fairly empty (probably because of the time), looks like a clubhouse with admittedly dated decor but we're there to eat, not critique the furnishing. Calamari was expertly prepared with a delightfully light coating and most importantly, cooked to super tender and juicy perfection. Onion rings were huge but seemed like just good premade rings, at half off we'd get them again. For dinner we had Wild Mahi Mahi with fresh mashed potatoes and wilted spinach. Nice firm fresh fish, nice mash. Rex sole with risotto and wilted spinach. Fresh tasting, perfectly prepared, delicious risotto. Fish and chips Light crisp coating, generous crinkle cut fries. I think it was swai which isn't my favorite fish but it was good. Desert was lava cake, tasty, probably commercially produced but you can't expect a place like this to have a dedicated pastry chef. Had a lot of wine to pick from but I had a delicious hazy IPA on tap. Especially considering the modest price I couldn't believe they have someone in the kitchen putting out this level of food in such a hidden and modest spot. Because it was early we never felt rushed, it was quiet and calm, our server was attentive and we kept remarking about what a hidden gem this is. We weren't even sure we were in the right spot but it's here. I can't guarantee you will have the same experience but there is an experienced hand running the kitchen, the food would not be as good as it was without experienced leadership back there. We look forward to visiting again one day (we live 45-60 minutes away).

Google
On my quest to find bottomless mimosa options near Sausalito, this place quickly rose to the forefront. Situated on the waterfront, it offers spectacular views whether you choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, so you won't have to worry about breaking the bank to have a great time. If you're in the area seeking both scenic beauty and tasty cuisine, this spot is worth considering.

Google
fantastic food fantastic service I highly recommend this place. It’s right on the water in Millvalley. Excellent excellent excellent.

Google
Unbelievably worst service I've had in years. Took forever for someone to take our order, took forever for the waitress to return, took forever to get our drinks, failed to get things we asked for, practically ignored our table. The view is very nice. Taco Tuesday fried fish taco is good but the carnitas was not and the crunchy shells are a joke worse than Taco Bell. Companion stated pork chop was good but rather small, coconut shrimp skimpy and crust falling off not well coated. Cadillac Margaritas came with almost no Grand Marnier. Went to the bar to ask for a soda refill because no one came to the table, took glass and said they'd bring it and it never showed up.

Google
First time here. Came for a team-building event for work. Not crowded, decent service, but food was tasty. I had the clam chowder and was one of the best bowls I've had. The appetizers were plentiful as we had tuna poke, chicken wings, calamari, and clams. The view was excellent. Also one extra star is given for them serving pepper plant.

Google
Pedro was really good. He let us switch out orange mimosa for grapefruit. Before that, the lady who greeted us made us feel super welcome. She made a great first impression.

We came in with a group of 6 and sat on the patio. Service was prompt and the happy hour specials are really good! This place is a real hidden gem inside a semi private tennis club. Beautiful scenery and tasty food!

I grew up in the North Bay area until I moved away from Cali in 2015. My family and friends still reside in the North Bay and The Lighthouse Bar & Grill is always part of my Brunch experience whenever I am back home. I love the location right by the water and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Lighthouse offers a great unlimited mimosa deal for $15, which cannot be beat. The brunch selection has a little bit of something for everyone at a budget price. I always go for the bennies. Perfectly cooked eggs and fresh ingredients make is a favorite of mine. A must go to when in the North Bay.

Yelp
We belong to the tennis club where this restaurant is located. We had the BEST lunch here on the 4th of July. I had the crab and lobster sandwich which was huge! It was packed with seafood, the delicious bread was toasted perfectly and the sweet potato fries were the best I've ever had. Hubby got the fish and chips which was huge and delicious as well, perfectly cooked. The portions were huge, the food came out quickly and we ate in the TV room while watching Wimbledon. Could not have asked for a better day.

Yelp
Well, had to follow my favorite bartender, Bobby, to this place. Beautiful views to enjoy, and parking was fairly easy. I just had the arugula salad and prawns "dipper" from the regular menu, both were excellent! I didn't have any drinks but their speciality menu definitely looks yummy!

Yelp
We had a great time on Mother's Day! Arrived comically late due to traffic, but they held our reservation! We sat outside by the water, a bit chilly under the umbrellas, but still quite pleasant. We shared the salmon lox bagel, and the salmon eggs Benedict. Both were quite generous with the salmon lox! I wish there had been more hash brown with the Benedict's, but could be I'm just used to that being typically voluminous portion. We had the creme brûlée and their bottomless mimosas too! It felt quite laid back, even on a hectic brunch day like Mother's Day, and the servers didn't leave our glasses empty for too long. Would come back if in the the area! Parking was ok - great considering the busy day - it's within a apartment looking complex in the suburbs and there was also street parking . You walk past a pool and tennis courts to get to it. Felt like it was a local watering hole.

Yelp
My family has been going to the Lighthouse for years. We love it. It's a mainstay for lunch and dinner. Surrounded by water and San Francisco Bay views. Fantastic food, drinks and service at great prices. Suggest the fruit pancakes at breakfast and the Danish meatballs at dinner-don't miss.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant with amazing views and tucked in an out of the way place. I have always enjoyed the indoor and outdoor space here. The food is good and has improved through the years and so has the staff. I would love to see a better cocktail menu, dessert selection and have more drinks be applied to the happy hour menu (it is currently only food and a few sections of wine). The space is fabulous for entertainment and they seem to be adding more slowly which is nice to see. All in all, a nice place to go.

Yelp
This is a great spot for some breakfast brunch or dinner. Tucked away in the Marin mountains with beautiful views. Of the bay waters. The staff is great. Very personable and friendly. Jack was our server and did an amazing job. Service is fast and very attentive. The food is very good. I tried some coconut shrimp and Parmesan fries as an appetizer. Fries were great flavored and crispy on the outside and soft inside. The perfect fry. The shrimp was super good. Had all the great fresh flavors. Also had the California club sandwich that comes on Ciabatta bread with avocado and some of the best bacon. So crispy. Absolutely delicious. It comes with choice of side. I had the coleslaw. Definitely made the right choice. Homemade for sure. Super creamy and full of flavor. Also had the Lighthouse Cheesesteak sandwich with a super tender sirloin steak and cheese with peppers and a side salad. This was a great spot. Really enjoyed this restaurant.

Yelp
Best kept secret in Marin and a delightful place to dine, unwind and share the Bay waterfront and seabirds experience. The photos show the quality and the service is friendly, fast and professional. We love their salads and the bar is comfy. Now there's a restaurant with water views which is perfect for Al fresco lunches overlooking a beautiful pool and quiet. I liked this off the beaten track discovery and hope it gives you food for thought

Yelp
The owner of this beautiful and delicious restaurant couldn't have been any more gracious, flexible, or accommodating of our special event's needs. From start to finish, he gave us his time and consideration, going above and beyond to make sure every detail was addressed in the best possible way so that we would have the most memorable experience. And, we absolutely did. The staff and service were exceptional, as well. We will recommend the Lighthouse Bar & Grill a million times over, for any event large or small, public or private. Thank you!!

Yelp
I found my local Tuesday spot! $3 chicken and beef homestyle tacos. Nachos were amazing, with a generous portion of delicious guacamole. The battered fish taco for $7 off the Taco Tuesday menu was well worth the extra few bucks! I also enjoyed watching the fog roll in over Angel Island and Belvedere! Hidden gem of a place with great prices for the area.

Yelp
overall B: weekend brunch with lovely views at end of Strawbery near Tiborun, food decent, service good, sat inside, eggs benedict and bagel with lox.
google avatar

Paden M.

Yelp
Fantastic and underrated. Drinks are solid but they don't have a cocktail menu, so make sure you know what you want. They made me a great espresso martini! Food is excellent, I loved their homemade veggie patty, it's what brought me back as a return customer. So good. Other winners are the crowd (or really, lack thereof; nice to have open space and no wait at peak hours) and the beautiful view with wind protection. Interiors are a little outdated, but so are the prices so I'm not mad about it...you can get cocktails and a meal for 2 at around $50. Very quiet and serene, lovely. Hidden gem!

Yelp
Great view on water. Delicious food. We've been here several times. Never disappoints. There were 4 of us. I had the bacon avocado omelette, my husband had the eggs Benedict with crab, my son and his girlfriend had Norwegian eggs Benedict and the stuffed hash browns.

Yelp
Ambiance is lovely and never crowded on weeknights . Our favorite waitress is Sarah, who is lovely. The food was always mediocre but there has been a drastic improvement. We had a t-bone steak which was marvelous and the chicken marsala dinner was very good. They serve Honig wine which I adore! Come back if you haven't been in a year. It has improved.

Yelp
Wanted a spot on the water for lunch on the way back to Santa Rosa from SF and found the Lighthouse Bar & Grill. We made reservations for 3 at 1PM and got seated as soon as we arrived. It was a nice day so we sat outside and the views were great! It took about 15 minutes until we were approached to take our drink order. I also checked-in via Yelp to get the free fries and our server knew nothing about them so we did not get them. We ordered beers and they came to our table fast. The rest of the service was just OK. There was only 1 server for the 6+ tables outside and who knows how many they had inside. Food was just OK too. Nothing special but I would go again for the views and a nice outside area.

Stefano C.

Yelp
Tucked away, on the water, quiet. Great place, with great food and wine menus I would recommend it

Yelp
We've kayaked past here many times and I really wanted to love it! Pretty spot for sure! Arrived around 3pm for a beer and snack on the deck. We were greeted and seated outside, as requested. But then had to ask our server for water, utensils (after our food came) and napkins. The food was fine, not spectacular. But because of the view, we're going to give another go!

Ella D.

Yelp
I have been going to this place a long time and i love the servers but the menu change has become more expensive. Other than that it is enjoyable. Amazing views.

Rebecca N.

Yelp
At first we were a bit puzzled that we had pulled into the parking lot of what appeared to be a private pool club, but once we found the restaurant it was lovely. Great food (burgers, schnitzel, salad) and lovely service. We're so glad we went and can enthusiastically recommend.

Yelp
The calamari's is fresh. Very moist not chewy. Mixed with fried onions and aioli sauce

Yelp
Ok so the wife and were coming back from Livermore. We wanted something to eat and the wife found this place. It's surrounded by a bunch of tennis courts. You have to walk through the club to the back to get to the restaurant. We had made reservations so we got seated right away. Stephanie the bartender was awesome she is there on the weekends! The spicy bloody Mary was so good. And the wise bottomless mimosas was never empty. We both had the San Francisco eggs Benedict and it was so good! The views are awesome and you can also sit outside. So if your looking for brunch and a bite to eat stop by and give it a try! Cheers

Yelp
The Lighthouse Bar & Grill serves fine beverages & good food. Seared Ahi Tuna, Grilled Artichoke, Mac & Cheese, Burgers are tasty & fine. The Karaoke nights are fun as are the crowd they attract. Highly recommend you give them a go.

Yelp
Came here with a girlfriend for my birthday lunch. After doing some research she decided on Lighthouse for our meal. Our first time here and we were led through the club entrance and by a view of the pool to the restaurant. We loved how you get a beautiful view of the water and outdoors from anywhere you sit in the place. Our server was lovely and I was able to check in on Yelp to get us a free order of truffle fries which arrived hot & crispy to our table. What a nice treat! We got an order of their fried calamari and onion rings as well. I guess we were in a fried food kind of mood. For my entree I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich with coleslaw and my friend had the vegan burger with salad. My cheesesteak sandwich was not what I expected, but in a good way. The beef was super tender and seemed more like they took filet mignon and cubed it up with bell peppers, onions, and cheese and placed it in a soft grilled bun. It was really really good. We talked about how much our hubbies would totally like coming here for the food and views. Was very happy to learn about Lighthouse and will look forward to coming back!

Yelp
"MARIN'S BEST!" - Fundraising Extravaganza! (How cool is that?) DRINKS & BITES! My partner-in-crime Bridget B. was already getting into the swing of things and doing a dam fine job of taste-testing the alcohol (because she's diligent like that!) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lighthouse-bar-and-grill-mill-valley?select=2B22up8ypXJh-ZqFEFHauw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w Taco Bar! A great way to wrap up an awesome night. A beautiful location in Marin County to enjoy some special times and also make a difference in our part of the world by giving back to the community.

Yelp
Came by for Happy Hour and after an hour not happy. The service is the worst I've ever had. After the waitress took our order we had to call in an APB to find her. After an hour she came to our table with a bill and asked if we had enough. The answer is that we had enough and won't be back. Too bad, great venue and decent food, horrible service.

Yelp
This is a wonderful local off the grid find in the middle of the tennis and swim club at Harbor Point. The owners and menu have many unique Danish influences added to enhance the American breakfast, lunch and dinner specialties. Try the Danish meatballs with the dipping sauce with your breakfast for a real treat. The full bar with drink specials like bottomless mimosas and a spicy bloody Mary will get you going. Will be going back soon for a happy our menu visit and the spaghetti Wednesday night. Mangia

Yelp
Stopped in for crab cakes and a cocktail (on a recommendation)...I an a huge foodie, THESE CRAB CAKES....Soooo good. If I could go back every day, driving from Santa Rosa, believe me I would. I actually believe they are crab/lobster cakes. The Cosmos I had were so good as well. However, I will make the drive again for the crab cakes! 5 stars on food, and service...oh ask for Stephanie to be your bartender! She ROCKS, and shakes, and muddles, and all that bar stuff.

Yelp
We experienced incredibly slow, terribly disappointing service here today. The food was good, and the outdoor patio seating was nice, but the service really left us regretting our decision to eat here. We had an 11:30am reservation, and had called ahead to let them know we'd be 10 minutes late. When we arrived around 11:40am, we were told we had to wait 5-10 minutes for our table, which we didn't mind - little did we know, we wouldn't get our food for another full hour! After we were seated around 11:45pm, we waited an inordinate amount of time until someone came by to take our order (I actually had to flag down a busboy to ask if someone would be coming soon). Then, it took a long while for anyone to come by with our water and drinks. Our meal finally arrived around 12:40pm. Thank goodness I had packed a "back up" lunch for my 3 year old - there is no way she could have waited nearly an hour after our arrival to eat. The food itself was good. The crab cakes were excellent, and my husband and I enjoyed our Lighthouse burgers and Bloody Marys. My Dad liked his Norwegian omelette. My toddler liked her kids' fish and chips. The service continued to disappoint after the food arrived. We had to ask twice for ketchup. Later, we had to ask for a box for leftovers *three* times before they remembered. We had to ask for our check twice, and it took a while to come out. We finally got our check to sign at 1:22pm. The back patio was definitely a pleasant setting to an enjoy an outdoor meal, and the water views were lovely. Come prepared for the fact the restaurant is located within a health club / apartment complex - definitely a bit unusual. Overall, the awful service really left a bad taste in our mouths, and we would not recommend this place to anyone who arrives hungry or doesn't have an afternoon to spare on a very long lunch.

Yelp
What a gem of a place! Tucked away in the hills of Mill Valley, you'll find this amazing little venue known as the Lighthouse Bar & Grill. I had dinner here with friends and was left pretty impressed with all that they had to offer. They have a pretty extensive food and wine menu filled with seafood classics as well as wine country favorites. They also offer happy hour which I haven't yet partaken in, however any place with a nice happy hour is alright with me. The interior is spacious and inviting with a social bar and an elegant dining area. On the weekends, they have dancing, live music, and even special karaoke days! Although I love to dance, I rarely ever bust a move anymore. However, I actually got on the dance floor here and surprised myself (aren't you proud of me?). Their venue can be rented out for private parties and events. Their outdoor deck boasts some of the most glorious views of nearby Richardson Bay and the beautiful Marin hillside. My friends and I indulged in a plethora of different dishes: -Grilled Atlantic salmon -Fish & chips -Garlic fries -Spaghetti bolognese -Clam chowder -Grilled pork chop -Pasta primavera with Salmon I had the grilled Atlantic salmon which was topped with mango salsa and served over a bed of rice and grilled asparagus. The presentation of the plate was visually stunning! Although I felt that the salmon could have been a bit better seasoned, it tasted very fresh and the accompaniment of the mango salsa was a nice touch. The grilled asparagus was a hit as well! I didn't try any of the other dishes, but the general consensus of the table was that the food was indeed very tasty. Service on the floor was a bit slow but there was a party going on, so it made sense as to why the wait was longer than usual. The bartenders were generally pretty friendly but a few of them did seem overwhelmed and one in particular wasn't the most pleasant. But, I won't let one bad apple ruin it for the rest of them. All in all, I had a lovely time here and I would love to visit again in the future.

Yelp
Just had our first meal here and it won't be the last! VERY good food my gal had the Sole cooked to perfection and I did the Hawaiian Poke bowl and the Clam chowder! All very yummy. Great service, waterfront seating Like our old Gov says "I'll be back"!

Yelp
A bar and restaurant in the middle of a high-end apartment complex smack dab in the middle of Richardson Bay, Lighthouse Bar & Grill is the epitome of a hidden gem. I mean why would anyone besides locals even knows that this place exists as this restaurant lies in the middle of a property known as The Club at Harbor Point. Although a hidden gem, it's not too hard to find Lighthouse Bar & Grill as it's on the east side of Mill Valley's Tiburon Boulevard and a simple right hand turn on East Strawberry Drive and a long and winding drive and viola, you're there! Lighthouse Bar & Grill is part restaurant, bar and event space as I have attended many a special event here as they have a huge dance floor and bandstand which makes it a great venue for live music. I happen to come for a special event on a Saturday evening and the place was booming, but not enough for regular customers to enjoy their dinners while our special event was going on in their bar area. All of this was while music from a live band on the stage area with a multitude of dancers partying on the dance floor made for one enjoyable evening. Once our event was over, a group of friends and I decided to stay for dinner at Lighthouse Bar & Grill because we felt the ambiance and energy were just so nice we couldn't get enough of it. So with that, we managed to make reservations with the front desk and waited roughly fifteen minutes for our table for eight was arranged for us. The menu at Lighthouse Bar & Grill is pretty straight-forward as their kitchen specializes in fresh seafood dishes, reminiscent of meals served in San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf, mixed with traditional bar bites and lunch time entrees like salads and sandwiches. The best thing about their dinner menu is that their prices are rather affordable as no dish was over 26 dollars when we went, and this includes a Filet Mignon, which in this day in age is remarkable. Although I wasn't particularly hungry the evening we decided to have an impromptu dinner party and the best thing about our meal was that they graciously gave us two orders of their Yelp check-in deal of a free side of Truffle Fries. While I munched on those, I decided to order from the Club Menu of the menu their Fish & Chips with Cole Slaw served with tarter sauce, remoulade and lemon. I thought my fish and chips were decent as they were a little dry for my taste, I have to admit not remarkable at all, so I did have some regrets after I looked at my fellow diners entrees with envy. Others in my party were a little hungrier and ordered dishes as varied as their Spaghetti Bolognese, Salmon Fettuccine, Grilled Atlantic Salmon, Flat Iron Steak and Bone-In Pork Chop. All of this plus, a few glasses of wine, a margarita and a Chocolate mousse dessert and our bill for eight was only 218 dollars which included gratuity, and was really nice considering how many people were in our party and how much food we ordered. I would definitely make a return visit to Lighthouse Bar & Grill as the ambiance alone as it's a charming restaurant that sits on the crystal clear waters of the bay with plenty of parking to boot. The even have a great Sunday brunch menu, in addition to Happy Hour and even early bird specials of the day. This just goes to show how unpretentious Lighthouse Bar & Grill is to when preparing their dishes and treating their customers. The perfect place in Marin County for brunch, lunch, dinner or libations, Lighthouse Bar & Grill is everything to everyone and you cannot go wrong with ordering a meal from here.

Yelp
Of all the Lighthouses in Marin County, this one is the most unique. Lots of cougars at this location HA! This one has breathtaking views of Richardson Bay, the other locations don't have a waterfront view, not even the Sausalito one since it's across the street. Who doesn't like Danish meatballs? I've eaten here twice, both for dinner, and servers take good care of you. The food was tasty, especially the seafood pasta. The fish and chips are quite good. I came here six years ago for the Esurance tennis classic to watch the Bryan Brothers up close - good times! Lucky for those residents here at Harbor Point, all the amenities are onsite with bar and grill to boot. Live bands and lovely people shaking their tail feather. I'd never want to leave paradise. I would love to have brunch here on a sunny day. I hear the mimosas are bottomless, woohoo! 'Til next time ~ cheers and see you on Yelp (SYOY)!!! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lighthouse-bar-and-grill-mill-valley?select=ddX9QNPtP_nq62z-qnqP5g https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/lighthouse-bar-and-grill-mill-valley?select=KHVkMLc51t535wpfjMzUuw

Yelp
The food is good, the waitstaff is mostly excellent, but for some reason the management has tolerance for patrons who refer to other patrons as "Jewish ,democrat cunts" in front of others, if the patron calling the names is a male who has been a member of the club for 33 years(??) "Just ignore him", all his friends said, as he told me to f off 20 times in a row, and I wasn't even talking politics, nor was i talking to him. He kept asking me why I kept speaking, and a friend he was with told him, "because i'm bringing her into the conversation." To which he answered another F off to me. Just for point of reference, he's approximately 25 years older than i am and the management watched this whole scene unfold and did nothing to stop it.

Yelp
Came here for my friends bday lunch cus outdoor finding was available here. No wait on a Friday afternoon and the food was good! The waiters also tried to serve us all at the same time, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the salmon and risotto and my boyfriend had the pasta, which he also liked. Ps. There was also an abundance of parking available on the Friday I went

Yelp
This past weekend we held our 50th Reunion/70th Birthday Party for our HS. Ken and his staff out did themselves. The food was beyond expectations, from the passed appetizers to the main course. No one expected the menu that was prepared and the quality of the meal. The service was top notch. From the very friendly bartender who made fabulous cocktails, to the very efficient and friendly servers. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. If you are looking to hold an event I would highly recommend Lighthouse Bar and Grill!!

Robert M.

Yelp
this place has a happy hour, which is Services super slow. I went there on taco. Tuesday was not good now the views are very nice but the service and the food are not good. The prices are OK but the service is very very slow. I would not recommend this place. There are a lot better happy hours out there.

Yelp
Hard to find and really a spot for the club/residence members. Nothing special about the food, but nothing to complain about.

Troy T.

Yelp
This bar/restaurant is a hidden jewel on the bay. Great menu, delicious food and great service. They employ professional bartenders and wait staff. The view is fabulous..

Joe G.

Yelp
Great hamburger selections with an abundant choice of toppings. They don't build restaurants like this with its genuine, rustic, Western charm. Outdoor seating looked nice but it was too cold. Counter service available as well. Location is just outside downtown. Worth the short trip. Service warmed up after a while of conversation.

Fred W.

Yelp
We have been eating here for about 4 or 5 years now and always enjoyed the food and service. We ate there Sat pm and when we ordered our meals I had the Cal club bacon turkey lettice avacado and jack cheese, I had asked for no avacado and no jack cheese the meal came and there was avacado on sandwich (no big deal but I did not want to waste as I am not avacado fan. ) I did take it off in front of waiter who said nothing. Food was great as usual but when we got the bill I noticed after I had paid there was a $3.00 fee for bacon and avacado come on guys what next a charge for mayo or the bread it came with or charge for toasting the bread. I think you have gone too far for your fees I guess if we go back I will ask what fees are with our food or Ice or air, chairs, table, napkin and such.

Yelp
One of the most beautiful places to enjoy dining with friends, watching sports (they have it all), celebrating special events, watching live tennis in the comfort of court-side seats, enjoying a wonderful cocktail, or just mellowing on Richardson Bay watching the seals play or the birds dive for fresh fish - and last week, enjoying the display of a bay-wide perfect rainbow...THIS is your place. Book a party, too; they have fabulous food. The bar is packed with a wide variety of beer and wine, but don't forget those cocktails by Daniel! Wow. Ken, the Owner/Manager, does an excellent job of keeping the place beautiful, comfortable and welcoming for all ages. My favorite? Sitting at the bar with a nice drink, catching up with the regulars and enjoying sports on the multiple big screens. Thanks to the Ken, Daniel & Samatha (Best Bartenders), and the kitchen staff! You are doing an excellent job. Suzette

Yelp
Last time we ate here was 2019 B.C. (Before Covid). We think Lighthouse is even better than our last memory. Kenneth apologized that our reserved table was still in use and encouraged us to wait at the bar. The bartender got creative (asking first) with my wife's Amaretto Sour by adding an egg white - a yummy addition. Shortly our table opened up (we wanted to be near the dance floor). At 6:30 the place was rather full. Our waiter, Tony, greeted us shortly after seating. Took our drink orders and continued to be attentive throughout the rest of our meal. We had sole and lamb shank. Our plates were cleaned. Desserts were equally well received. By the time the band set up, a few more tables were available - must be popular with the early diner crowd. The music was dance-able and the dance floor roomy enough for quite a few couples. Decor and ambiance is comfortable. Restrooms are spotless. For first-time visitors the place is a tad difficult to find. First of all, it is about 10 minutes off the highway, winding through the neighborhoods. Secondly, the entrance on the left can be easily driven by. Lastly, to get to the restaurant, people pass through the club house reception, go outside again, past the pool and courts to the restaurant. Lots of free parking.

Yelp
Do not trust this restaurant to honor their reservations! We made reservations for three for Brunch, requesting an inside table. When we arrived we were told it was an hour wait unless we wanted to sit outside in the 55 degree fog bank. When we asked why our table was not ready we were told that people who reserved an outside table did not want to sit in the cold. We have always enjoyed the other Lighthouse locations however this location is inside a private club, looks like non-members are second class customers. Go somewhere else!

Yelp
What a true hidden gem tucked away in the hills of Mill Valley! I was a little hesitant at first as this restaurant is located on the grounds of a health club and appeared just to be another typical bar/food scene. Well I was wrong as the restaurant's location is perfect for spectacular views of Tiburon and parts of the Bay Area accompanied with good food. Ample seating, great alcohol selection, tasty bites, dance floor, and wonderful service! Shout out though to the staff of Lighthouse as they were on top of their game. Pretty decent selection for happy hour and brunch on the weekend looks wonderful (Yet to try though). Was also nice to catch part of the Kentucky vs Kansas and Warriors vs Clippers game on one of the many LCD TV's throughout the restaurant. Would love to revisit on a Friday night to explore the music scene and food selection!

Yelp
Great Staff! And pretty good half baked chicken. They don't skimp on sizes, so if you one here, know that you will be full. We skipped appetizers because of the oodles of drinks we had prior dinner, but we left fully satisfied. Location: hidden in a secluded neighborhood, the restaurant is inside the the country club (made me wish I have the privileged to go swimming before dinner). The drinks: I had the HotTottie and champagne (lots and lots of it) the price was pretty average. The service: bar service was great, and the servers were friendly. The food: best baked chicken I've had in a while.. it's half the darn chicken- but is still wouldn't share (leftovers were yummy!!) Overall I would go back here if I'm in the area

Yelp
I understand places might be understaffed. But it is still no reason for extremely slow service. We got lucky enough to get in. Told it was a 45 minute wait. (Didn't have reservations) they sat us within 10 minutes. That's were the timeliness stopped. Took about 10-15 minutes to be acknowledged by our waiter. We sat outside so we got to enjoy the new. Took about 5 more to come back and take our order. Another 10 minutes to get drinks, food came out about 1/2 hour. Club sandwich & fish & chips. Food was good. Then took about 20 minutes after we were done to flag down the waiter to get our bill. Was just glad I wasn't in a hurry. As I was sitting waiting I read reviews, and seen that someone else was there experiencing the same.
