This Coffee Roasters offers a good experience. The coffee is good, and I enjoyed the raspberry bar from their pastry selection - it was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly, though the level of attentiveness seemed to vary depending on the customer. The space itself is inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's worth noting there's no Wi-Fi, which may be a downside for those looking to work remotely but upside for some real human connections. During my visit, the roasting machines weren't in use, so I missed out on seeing the roasting process in action. They have ton of inventory of merchandise, from apparel and mugs to coffee grinders - great for gift shopping or coffee enthusiasts looking to gear up. Would definitely return, but there’s room for improvement to make the experience even more consistent.

It’s hard to beat the coffee here. There’s often a line out the door, but it doesn’t take too long to get through. The quintessential Seattle neighborhood coffee shop.

We’ve been using coffee beans from Lighthouse Roasters forever and for good reason. The quality is consistently amazing, with rich, balanced flavor and that perfect, freshly roasted every time. A true Seattle classic we keep coming back to!

If you looking for a great fresh roasted cup of coffee, this place is for you. Small and intimate coffeeshop with fresh pastry and cool vibe.

Google
Come here if you want the best lattes/coffee in Seattle :) I don’t know what magic they do but Lighthouse Roasters’ lattes hit the spot whenever you need it the most. That, plus the cozy, homey, community-centric atmosphere of this place make it one of the best in town.

It is an amazing place! The coffee is absolutely fantastic, and both the food and service are just awesome. The atmosphere is beautiful—almost surreal. It really has that pure Seattle vibe. The shop itself feels incredibly cozy and friendly. Truly one of those spots you just want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Google
My favorite local coffee spot. There’s always great service, great atmosphere, and great coffee. I either get a cappuccino, iced latte, or mocha, depending on the time of year. It’s a popular spot so usually has a line but it can go by quickly!

Maddy McCue

Google
We enjoyed a delicious cup of drip coffee in this lovely spot! It’s fun that you can see some of the roasting equipment in the cafe. Very friendly service as well! Excited to try the beans I bought!

Yelp
I love it so much I'm even a member. I send bags of this coffee to friends and family all over the world. Occasionally, I even stop in for an in-person, fresh and hot cup of coffee and a dog treat. I should add that they make it easy to gift bags of their own roasted coffee beans, including shipping at a reasonable price. Service is fair and friendly. Ambiance is essential Seattle.

Yelp
-1 - Ambience. Mostly about the high decibel music that was playing. It made it nearly impossible to have a normal volume conversation. -1 - Options. Despite being a roaster location, as in they have a roaster on premise, there is no option to try the other coffees. That includes pour over, chemex, or even a french press. I have to ding them for this, because I would expect that of an affiliated location. +1 - Customer Service. The staff was knowledgeable about their coffee and even took the time to explain their basis for not wishing to support alternative coffee options, outside of 'drip of the day' and espresso. +1 - Quality. The coffee featured as part of their 'drip of the day' was enjoyable and demonstrates why they are a respected roaster. +1 - Location. Located in a neighborhood, Lighthouse's location is walkable in the neighborhood and we found accessible parking nearby. Background. On a typical day, we arrived for our first experience. The exterior was clean, the door easily accessible, and the wait wasn't that long. However, upon entering, we found the music unpleasantly loud. For the record, we don't expect a coffee shop to feature whisper quiet background music. But the volume of the music was so high, it made our AirPod Pro microphones (since these featured noise canceling) produce static when we turned on the noise cancellation feature. At the counter, we saw the coffee of the day but inquired on other presentation options or if other varieties/blends were available. The staff explained the amount of equipment for the location was prohibitive. Instead, they invited us to try their 'drip of the day' or an espresso-infused drink. We elected to try one of each. The barista made the drinks quickly and well, from order to receipt. Sitting down, the volume of the music was unpleasant. But, we elected to drink our coffee and leave, as we recognize the music's volume was more for the staff's needs than for the customers. Some might disagree and argue we should have insisted they turn it down. But, we felt this was akin to going into someone's house and ask them to move the furniture. Overall, we would return for a takeaway option and assuming the drip of the day is one that is up our alley. As always, your individual experience will vary.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood coffee shop that looks to be very popular! We were thinking we weren't going to find any seating for Steve and my myself while we were at the counter waiting to make our order but two bar stools became available and we got some seating for two after all. We primarily came here to get a bag of coffee beans to take home but knew we should try a coffee drink too, a small portioned one is what we had in mind. We got a small mocha and added a dash of cinnamon to it. It was very good! That cinnamon really added a lot to it. Not really saying it needed anything else but it definitely enhanced it. The mocha was a good one with it's chocolate qualities and warming abilities. We also split an Old Fashioned donut here as well which was quite good. Very fresh and tasty for sure. My Achilles Heel for donuts and pastries I succumbed to but at least it was worth succumbing to.

Yelp
Came in the morning to this cafe in Fremont for coffee. It has been making coffee locally for a few decades now and still uses the same old process. Lighthouse Roasters also has bags for sale. Good for now or for later. The cafe has a limited menu, but simple is a good thing. Basically the main thing is the coffee of course. It's got bags that you can buy here or you can order it online. The cafe is the best place to try the coffee though. Has some things that you can only get here. It's about $4 for a latte. They have a few non dairy milks including oat. Kind of limited beyond the coffee. They have a few pastries. For sure this is a place to get perked up in the morning. It's located on N. 43rd St. at Phinney. The pastries are pretty limited, with nothing here for vegans, but there's plenty of other places around to eat something.

Yelp
Awesome neighborhood spot with fresh beans and a great outside sitting nook. Great spot for reading, chilling, or chatting :) this made the visit extra memorable. L We got a cappuccino, latte, and chèvre fig scone. The scone was ok but the coffee was strong and good!

Yelp
One of the first coffee shops I went to when I first visited Seattle and it has remained my favorite since moving here. Great coffee and service. I also highly recommend their pastries. It seems like there's always a line and there are always regulars there. So happy to have this coffee shop in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Best coffee roaster hands down. Artisan roasting done the old school way in a cast iron roaster. All around steller product crafted by a stellar team.

Yelp
The staff were fine. Not particularly friendly, though not rude at all. The inside was kinda interesting with the coffee grinding and bagging. They don't have too much for none drip coffee drinkers. I probably wouldn't come back for the chai here or anything but it wasn't a bad experience. It seems very neighborhood!

Yelp
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I'm NOT a coffee snob/connoisseur/expert/addict. I'm don't coffee daily or drink it multiple times a day. But, if an amateur like myself thinks this coffee is amazing. Like, it must be super amazing, right? I don't know if that even makes any sense but coffee usually tastes bitter and nasty and that's why I add a ton of sugar and some milk like a true amateur that I am. But, the LIGHTHOUSE BLEND? SHoooooo, all the other coffees can move on over and go take a seat in the back where they belong. The folks here roast their coffee in-house. What a legend. A true icon. The last time I saw those big machines were over at the coffee plantation in Guatemala, in the flesh. I even bought a pack to take home and the day that it was all gone was one VERY SAD day that will go down in history. j/k Thanks, Lighthouse for sparking appreciation for coffee and to a whole new world.

Yelp
Simply delicious! Great coffee flavor and I got lavender syrup. It was pretty busy with a line out the door but they were still very quick. Filled the coffee to the brim.

Yelp
We came here for the first time. We were craving for high quality coffee in the neighborhood. We found this coffee shop had 4.8 stars. We went for it! Excellent choice!!! We came here at the end of the day. It was not as busy as the day time. We ordered an iced latte. Yum!! The latte or coffee flavour tasted very smooth and filled with texture and richness even though it had milk in it. I personally loved it so much. We sat inside and enjoyed the coffee. We saw the coffee shop here also roasts their coffee beans. We saw those coffee ma Chinese, equipment and accessories. It is great that the business owner can both sell coffee beverages and roast their own coffee beans. I would highly recommend this coffee shop even though the name is not as big as Starbucks or other popular ones. The business owner puts effort to make and sell coffee/coffees to the coffee customers.

Yelp
Classic Pacific NW coffeehouse with old school vibe. Excellent well balanced coffee served here. Took home a bag of their Roaster's choice. Excellent medium roast that really brings out the bean's flavor with low acidity. No nonsense service. Enjoy a good cup of joe.
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
The cappuccino is a traditional foam heavy style and Seattle coffee is definitely dark roast. It's pretty cool to see the actual coffee roasting at the back of the shop. They sell their merchandise and their own coffee blends. Just laid back local small business and have a good vibe. It can get a bit noisy because of the coffee roasters but it's like white noise for me lol!

Yelp
This shop is a personal favorite of mine in Seattle since it has such a warm, neighborhood feel to it (attributed to the fact that it is, indeed, located in a neighborhood). Parking was a little iffy, per the Seattle way, but I was able to find a spot a few blocks down. I had gone during peak on a Saturday which was definitely a risky move since the shop is on the smaller side and absolutely packed due to it's undeniable popularity (for good reason). Luckily, I was still able to find a spot to sit while working on a few projects and had the opportunity to connect with a few folks that have been coming to this roastery for years. The actual roaster is in this shop, which had emitted a smell close to what I would assume heaven smells like. The baristas were efficient and bustling, which was fun to watch and I had ordered a brewed medium roast which had a nice full-bodied, yet brighter flavor to it. If you need to get work done on your laptop, this isn't the place but if you're looking to meet some locals, hang out with family in the area, or find yourself wanting to try a new roastery, definitely give Lighthouse Roasters a visit.

Saemyi L.

Yelp
Super cool that they roast their own beans. It's a small neighborhood coffeeshop, quiet and tucked away from all the touristy places. Their coffee was good and service was fine. I wouldn't make the drive up just for this place but if I'm in the area, I would stop by.
google avatar

Nikita S.

Yelp
Pretty decent. I might go with this if I'm in the vicinity/area, but I won't come here just for coffee. However, in my opinion, this was better than "Fremont Coffee Company"
google avatar

Sammy P.

Yelp
Great spot! Good latte, great croissant! Cute interior. Seems like they roast their own beans. Dogs allowed!
google avatar

Buk O.

Yelp
Great coffee, friendly neighborhood coffee baristas, fantastic neighborhood-vibes coffee shop. The latter is why there is often a long line (not just about the coffee itself seeing as there are a lot of cafes in Fremont).
google avatar

Jesse W.

Yelp
My daughter and i stopped by on a Saturday morning, just after opening, and enjoyed our coffee. There was a good crowd that seemed to be largely local and was friendly. The space and the people were both nice, I would recommend for a nice local neighborhood coffee shop experience.

Yelp
Okay, I've given Lighthouse Roasters 3 visits before deciding to write my review, and here's my impression: great coffee, delicious pastries, and just o-kay service. I found Lighthouse after researching the "best" coffee beans in Seattle, and I am also lucky enough to reside in the neighborhood. I have now switched to Lighthouse's beans for my drip coffee needs! I was happy to see several pups in the coffeehouse and a plethora of dog treats. This was a quick visit, I got my beans and latte (both amazing). The second visit was with my partner, a big fan of savory scones - the dill and chive scone did not disappoint! Sadly, I'd say the customer service did a bit - I understand it was a busy Saturday morning; however, I felt a bit rushed in my decision-making for pastries, and the interaction was a bit cold. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our treats! Finally, I decided to write my review after my 3rd visit and 2nd bean replenishment. Again, my coffee beans and drink were delicious; the barista, however, was a bit cold. All in all, I will be back for my coffee bean and latte needs, but I hope to see some more cheeriness at Lighthouse Roasters soon - a smile, a good morning, and general friendliness go a long way!

Yelp
Le Coin introduced me to Lighthouse Roasters. I initially thought because Le Coin serves it French Pressed style is why the coffee was good, but no even auto drip and pour over its REALLY good coffee. Washington Wild Blend (mild fruit notes with bold finish) and French roast (perfectly bold and aromatic) are my two favorite blends. If you're in Seattle and seeking a really GREAT cup of coffee head to Lighthouse Roasters.
google avatar

Eva H.

Yelp
I grew up coming to Lighthouse but moved out of the neighborhood and just recently started coming back to the physical store. These are the only coffee beans I will buy and use at home (Roaster's Choice is our go to), but I've also loved being able to start going in again and getting drinks in store. They have a ton of baked good options, plenty of seating for a small space and it always smells amazing. All of their cups & everything else is compostable which is great and the experience has always been thoughtful. I love that they have different art to purchase on the walls and the ways that community is brought in throughout the space. Lovely people, lovely coffee, lovely space.

Yelp
My partner and I have been on a quest to find the best coffee in Seattle, and we both agree that Lighthouse Roasters is incomparable. Over the past four years, we have visited this coffee shop countless of times, and every visit has been consistently outstanding. The coffee is simply the best we have ever had, with each cup crafted to perfection. They are also the only coffee shop in seattle that have figured out the secret in getting almond milk to Foam For a cappuccino. The team at Lighthouse Roasters is truly amazing. They are friendly, welcoming, Their passion for the craft is evident in every cup they create, and they go above and beyond. The atmosphere at Lighthouse Roasters is also fantastic. The shop has a cozy and inviting feel, with a variety of seating options to suit any preference. Whether you're looking for a quiet place to work or catch up with friends, or simply want to enjoy a great cup of coffee, Lighthouse Roasters is the perfect spot. And let's not forget their dog-friendly policy! As a dog lover, it's always a bonus to find a coffee shop that welcomes our four-legged friends. Lighthouse Roasters not only welcomes dogs but also provides water bowls and treats to keep them happy while we enjoy our coffee.

Yelp
Coffee was good and what I was craving. Service was quick and pleasant. Ambiance was simple and chill.
google avatar

Shannon W.

Yelp
Strong coffee which is great for starting off the day bright and early in the morning. The scone left more to be desired - pretty bland and dry. Blueberry flavor was not really there.
google avatar

Yelp
Ii was there yesterday for the first time. The place smells amazing with freshly roasted fresh coffee. The service was great. Friendly guys. The coffee was amazing. I bought sone fresh coffee beans for home but I will be going back again over the weekends.

Seya T.

Yelp
wanted something cozy. the coffee was wonderful and environment is soothing. the staff was polite, and lovely! highly recommend.
google avatar

Athene D.

Yelp
Picked up a bag of original and their featured blend yesterday as well and it's very good! The original has a very smooth finish and is super light unlike some of the ones were used too! I really loved how Le Coin which right down the cross promoted Lighthouse! Love seeing local businesses support one another! Especially during these times. I didn't find it very strong in the French press style. However I've had their drip before (first Seattle roaster I ever tried actually). And it's very good. So after brunch I popped up the hill to snag a couple of bags for the delonghi espresso I have at home. Had a cup this morning and it was very good! Grab a bag if you're in the area

Yelp
Fantastic place. Everything about this business makes me smile. From the coffee bean flavors, the drinks, the baked goods and customer experience, this is the type of place I'd come to every day if I could. Believe me, if I lived walking distance, that would absolutely happen lol. We can't believe that it took us this long to visit, but the wait was well worth it. We got their small capuccino, mocha and latte on multiple occasions and they were all very good. Capuccino was our favorite, followed by the latte. The latte pairs exceptionally well with their old-fashioned cake donut. Mocha is a nice blend, and not very sweet either. Just how we like it. They roast all their beans on site and when you walk in, the aroma is intoxicating. Grab a couple bags as gifts or for your home - you won't regret it. I love seeing the making process and these guys are willing to chat with you about it if you are interested! I haven't personally used their outdoor seating area but it is really adorable. It's probably a popular hangout spot during the warmer months. Prices are super affordable and love the neighborhood vibe. They have gift box sets and merchandise for sale too. Service is super friendly and the lines move quickly. They have reopened indoor seating and be prepared to show proof of vaccination if you choose to sit inside. Plenty of street parking in the adjacent streets too! Looking forward to coming back and bringing our out of town friends as well. Go check them out if you haven't already!

Layne D.

Yelp
Excellent coffee. Came by on a Sunday around 7:30am and there were already a decent amount of folks inside enjoying a beverage. Ordered an 8oz mocha, it was perfect, not too sweet. Friendly staff, quick service. Definitely recommend if you are in the area!

David L.

Yelp
Moved to the Seattle area not too long ago, and heard about this place from some coworkers, so I decided to try it out. I mainly drink single origin light roasts, but since it was my first time here I decided to ask for a recommendation. I told them what I usually drank and how I make my coffee, and they recommended me the Roaster's Choice, which I searched online is supposed to be a medium-dark blend. Unfortunately, the bag that I got was way past medium-dark, and was approaching burnt. The beans were super oily and dark, and no matter how coarse I grinded the beans they were unpleasantly bitter. However, because of all the good things I heard about this place this is probably just a one-off error and I was just unlucky.
google avatar

Ben J.

Yelp
Lighthouse is, in many ways, the perfect classic Seattle coffeeshop. They roast in-house and sell and brew some of the best beans in the city. There's no wifi, so you have to hang out and read a book or newspaper, or talk to someone in the interesting crowd of regulars. Typically they have some delicious baked goods including cardamom cake and lemon glazed scones. However lately there seems to have been an interruption in this supply and they are offering more basic grocery store muffins. As a possible working location, it could be very good so long as you don't need wifi. I often find that I am more focused when working without internet access. If you really did need it you could hot spot or use your own internet of some variety. Currently, you can't sit inside, but rather order at the front door. There is a great outdoor area next-door for you to be able to sit outside on rocks or tables.

Wallace S.

Yelp
The best coffee with no bullshit baristas. If your a dog-petter, there's always a tail wagger lurking about. Solid coffee spot. -old Soviet

Beth S.

Yelp
Lighthouse Roasters is hands down the best coffee house in town (maybe C&P in West Seattle a close second). The coffee, the guys/gals are long-time barista regulars, and mostly all musicians. Their selection of music is always good. Just a cozy place to visit with a friend or read a book or paper while drinking the best coffee in town.
google avatar

Timothy H.

Yelp
Life-changing coffee. I think Nirvana got the idea for the band name here after drinking espresso. I went here today after not being in the area for a long time and I'm reminded once more why I love espresso. Unfortunately it's hard to find the quality here at Lighthouse roasters in other places. The service is not your standard service. There's a Seattle-ness to it. What you see though and what you get is an artisan feel; where science and art enter your drink. You will then get up here in Seattle and come straight back for more. For all the so-called locals and real locals I don't know why you're not a regular.
google avatar

Susie C.

Yelp
Lighthouse is my favorite coffee spot in Fremont. While a bit off from the main downtown area, Lighthouse is worth the extra steps. The shop is cozy and has that local, neighborhood feel to it despite the fact that it's obviously very well known and well-regarded by locals. They roast their own beans, and they are great (at least to me). Additionally the baristas are top-notch. With that combo, any drink you get will be great. They do have decaf espresso, so my go-to is a split shot americano or cortado. The only thing that is a bit meh is that their only food options seem to be pastries from Macrina. They're good, but not particularly special. Also a little tip... Their beans make excellent gifts! Especially for people who are not local.

Eric R.

Yelp
These guys deserve five stars and here's why. First off this is a review not of a drink, barista or cafe. I ordered five pounds of lighthouse and I was excited to try it out. Now, Lighthouse roasts darker than most third wave roasters and frankly I didn't know this. I was in the mood to try something new and I had heard good things so I decided to give them a shot. (No pun intended). When I opened the bag the beans were surprisingly dark with visible oils. I was instantly disappointed because I prefer a lighter roasted coffee. Again, nothing against Lighthouse as their roasting style is probably right up the alley of most coffee drinkers. I reached out to them by email and within a day or so they had refunded my purchase and sent me a pound of a different coffee to try. This is the ultimate in customer service. I was frankly taken aback. Even if their roasting style isn't my preference doesn't mean you won't love it so please give them a try. They are local, small and have the customer service game nailed.
google avatar

Celine H.

Yelp
Strong and freshly roasted coffee! Tried cappucino and latte! Small local place to try!
google avatar

Brenda P.

Yelp
Quick service, average pastries. I got a hot latte and it was smooth and creamy. I wanted an almond croissant but they only had something that was similar to it and I liked it. Although i wish they had a toaster instead of a microwave.

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Great coffee and cute little spot to perch at while enjoying a cup! This shop is nestled in a quaint neighborhood where I was surprised to find it. Service was quick.

A.M. W.

Yelp
I love Lighthouse! Great atmosphere and great people. Would 100% recommend to a friend.
google avatar

Debjani B.

Yelp
Nice ambience, kind baristas. Tried the 8oz breve and the mocha. Both were excellent! Pastries and food weren't as good. Overall enjoyable coffee place in Fremont area

Anne P.

Yelp
Come for the coffee, stay for THE COFFEE (it is so good) and the warm and friendly atmosphere. No WiFi which is a plus in my opinion - bring a friend or a book and enjoy!

Leo W.

Yelp
Love the coffee, service, and vibes. If I had the money I would go every day. They have artwork and cool stuff. The shop staff is friendly and hard working.
google avatar

Emma N.

Yelp
The service here is really great! Both the cashier and barista were very friendly and answered my questions honestly and were eager to help. They even recommended me some great places for pastries! No wifi, but satisfies your coffee fix on the go!
google avatar

Ben O.

Yelp
Besides great tasting coffee, friendly baristas and workers, the roaster was more than happy to share his knowledge with me. He explained the process of roasting without making me feel clueless. He even gave me a generous sample. Similar to how Napa Valley wineries back in the good ole days!
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
I love this place! The coffee is great, but I come here for the people. It always brightens up my day to get a quick chat in with the morning crew. They are funny, kind, and make a killer coffee. There's also often art from local artists on the walls. I really like that. I definitely recommend this place! They almost always remember my order too. It was especially memorable when I brought my grandma in for my favorite latte. Thank you lighthouse crew!
google avatar

Julie O.

Yelp
Stopped in to pick up a fresh batch of the espresso roast as a gift for a friend who said that the beans were perfectly roasted and gave the most appealing aroma. Wish I would have picked up a few more bags. Will definitely check out their website to order more!

Angie L.

Yelp
One of the best coffee I had in Seattle! Really love the atmosphere including the lovely smell of beans being roasted. Would love to move next to the neighborhood if possible. Repeating my whole bean purchases as well.
