Very eclectic bar right on Mills. The decor inside is beyond interesting and definitely makes visiting an experience. Haven’t been when they have live music but am definitely interested in coming back to check that out. Bartender was very nice and gave recommendations based on what we liked. Friendly staff. Went on a Saturday for happy hour (daily 4-6pm, 20% off)

Awesome drinks! While visiting Orlando I looked up best mixologist and found Lil Indies. We went and were not disappointed! The bartender Jennifer was very nice and made our amazing drinks. We went on a Saturday around 5pm so we made Happy Hour. It was not very busy, I like because the bartenders can take their time with making drinks. It was a very cute little place. It is sandwiched in by 2 other bars with the same owner. I really like the vibe it was very different. We liked it so much that after we went to eat we came back the same night. I had the Whiskey Smash which was good and my fiancé had the Waterford 76 which he enjoyed and also had another when we returned. My second time around I had the Happy When it Rains which was rum based and very good. We loved it and will definitely return the next time we go to Orlando.

Me and my friend were visiting from out of town and we ran across this spot on Google and I’m glad we did! The bartender was amazing. She took her time to explain various cocktails to ensure we got what we wanted. They were delicious. If ever in Orlando again, I will definitely be back.

Lil indies was actually an cute interesting spot. The walls are filled with peculiar art, furniture is a mix with vintage and modern. I really liked the feel of it. Also lgbtq+ friendly.

I always love the live music on Wednesday nights. Ten Pints of Truth plays every other Wednesday, so if you like live blues music, you should be here on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.

Nice little hang out spot with live music. Indoor and Outdoor seating plus a lounge area with some interesting paintings. There was an amazing selection of craft drinks averaging between $10-$13. The staff was super friendly and it made the evening extremely fun. I would definitely go back.

Always wanted to try this place. I few of my girlfriend where there so I met up with them. vibe is AMAZING! We sat outside the whole time so I didn't get to really see inside. Save that for next time.

If you like to drink and you like new things, there is no better place than Lil Indies. They care about what they do. Watching my bartender do prep for a liquor was like watching an artisan. Please go here if you care about quality. They are a cut above.

Yelp
Came to see Nesto's jazz trio. Chill atmosphere and good drinks. My drink had gin black sea salt and basil. It was only nine bucks so reasonably priced. It wasn't too packed which we loved. It's a small spot with friendly staff

Jay T.

Yelp
Lil Indies is a wonderful little hidden spot for live music and good drinks. I was impressed by the bar staff and the jazz trio when we went. Prices are fair. Was visiting from NC, and I wish we had a location like this! 5 star service.

Deborah B.

Yelp
You can feel extremely comfortable there. They have very interesting & niche guests performing. I like their fresh drinks. Homey and comfortable. They used to be extremely dog friendly, that went away, but appears like it's returning, more open to dogs again. Depends I guess, ask first... I've always had a great experience there. I liked it when they had jazz. I don't go as often now, but very nice people. Fun to bar hop, there's another small bar in the back on an outside patio. It might be open. Walk around the building, there are a few, eclectic. Fun area.

Yelp
This is my comfort bar. I hadn't been back since the pandemic but when I saw DJ BMF was spinning 90's R&B , I did what I had to do. Lil Indies is one of my favorite spots in Orlando. It's hipster without being pretentious , divey while still making some of the best cocktails in the city. If you want to be cool, this is where you go.

Katie F.

Yelp
I found this place by looking up bars in the Mills district. Damn lil indies you did NOT. Disappoint!!! I love how the ambiance reminds me of that 70's show mixed with grandma's house! It has a really nice sound inside- they've got live music. They're in between plantees and will's pub. I absolutely love this vibe; laid back and chill. Now let's talk drinks they've got about 4 drafts and drink options are so funky. They're drinks range from $9-$15 depending on the drink. I ordered the Hey Boo Boo- it's vodka, pomegranate tea, yuzu liquor, cranberry and orange bitters. They batch it at Will's Pub Next door- so it's made daily. It comes in a little honey squeeze bottle- giving me Pooh bear vibes! It has a kick and is a bit sour but it's sweet at the same time! I definitely recommend coming here! 10/10 What a gem of a find!!

Aidilyn G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this cute little hidden bar. Came for a quick drink before dinner and really enjoyed the drink options available. The bartender was super nice and made some great recommendations.

Joe S.

Yelp
If you blink, you might miss it. It's in the same "Complex" as Will's Pub and the entrance is right beside Plantees on Mills. The quaint little bar had an awesome staff making some damn good craft cocktails. We went in before a show at Will's Pub and some of the others in the crowd had the same idea, luckily it was a bit after we did as the line got kind of long. They also have some kinds of events and I'm not sure about how they operate, but if you're in the area and they're open, stop in and try a cocktail. They have a nice selection of alcohol too!

Jesy T.

Yelp
Such an edgy and cute little tucked away bar. I stepped in for a drink and was pleased with the nicest bartenders and fast service I got! I forgot the name of the drink I got but it came in an adorable honey bear jar paired some some gummy bears! I wasn't a complete fan of the flavor, but I liked the aesthetic. There was another bar in the back, which hasn't opened up yet as it was still early. Definitely wouldn't mind coming back as this place was quirky and filled with personality. They also had a live performer there that night which was nice

Zach L.

Yelp
Not sure if a dive bar, or grandma's basement, or both, but positive vibes, live music, nice selection of liquor with select drafts. Friendly bartender. Vintage furniture and open jam space. Seems to be appealing to post college to mid 50's range, rather mixed but good vibes. A place that can cater to a fair range of people looking for nice atmosphere and a decent drink. For my drink I had a "Under No Conditions" composed of Bar Hill Gin, vanilla, dandelion root, honey, lemon, aquafaba. It was frothy, delightfully citrusy. The floral notes are settle but present, complementing the citrus and sweet notes nicely, with the lemon balancing out the sweet with a bit of tart.

Andrea U.

Yelp
What can I say about lil indies without absolutely sounding like a fan girl? You know what, eff it. I'm going to! Lil indies is an Orlando treasure... it has been my favorite spot to celebrate some of the most exciting events of my life, cry with friends about the dumbest things, and show up to and run into so many of Orlando's best. The bar menu highlights the experience of all the bartenders (GET THE HEY BOO BOO! - you get to keep the bear!) and the vibe is ALWAYS on.

Jerry S.

Yelp
I would like to give it 4.5 stars... It's a tiny little spot. Went to see a friend sing some tunes. Also stayed for the 2nd act. Place is small for big speakers. My iWatch kept going off staying my ears might bleed if I stay longer..LOL Both groups was excellent. Unique drinks.. No food. Had to leave to get something to eat... I will be back.. Maybe with ear plugs... ;)

Dj L.

Yelp
Fun little spot! Definitely and interesting vibe going on lol. It has looks of a divey type bar, but high class craft cocktails. I love the drinks, I got this one that came in a honey bear. Super cute! They do have a patio area to hangout in the front and out back. There's also a little tiki bar out back on the patio as well. Definitely a fun stop along mills!

Sofia P.

Yelp
Super friendly and hardworking staff. The drinks are well balanced and the live music is always good.

Thomas B.

Yelp
Came in for Friday night live music after some good grub! Vibe/service was great. After a couple of beers, I went on to try the whiskey sours and they were brilliant! Overall, the atmosphere with the music and good company made for a great night. Definitely recommend if you are passing by with a few mates on a Friday evening! *pics were taken before it got busy, caught a glimpse of the spot when it as quiet

Phylicia K.

Yelp
Cool little spot. Lots of fun drink options and the bartender was really friendly. They have live music, table seating to watch. There are a few seats at the bar and then they have a couple couches toward the front for seating too.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Cocktails cocktails cocktails. Yes on the classics and it's great to ask for some spin-offs. Haven't been disappointed yet.

Katie G.

Yelp
Came into Lil Indies tonight to grab a drink before my birthday festivities! The inside is very cozy and has college-hipster-house vibes. I sat at the bar in the back and ordered the Colors of the World from the chalkboard menu. The drink was very tart and spicy, not my favorite but they could have made anything by order. There was a stage in the back and open space for a crowd.

Jenna P.

Yelp
always a vibe :) bartenders are so friendly and insanely knowledgeable, every cocktail is worth the price. fresh ingredients. beautiful garnishes. 10/10

Melyssa F.

Yelp
Love this spot! Mainly because you would have no idea what they serve based in what it looks like outside. There's super cool seating areas inside with funky couches, music is good and the cocktail selection is veryyyyy nice. The bartenders all have been consistent when we go and they can make regular cocktails or serve beer as well. They have a daily HH which is 20% off from 3-6!

Natali B.

Yelp
Really great and strong cocktails. I had the L&T express, a gin based cocktail that will set you back $11 and I definitely felt like I got my moneys worth cause I got tipsy after 3. They have live music starting at 7pm on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's. This ranges from indie, to rock and folk, soul. Around 10pm they switch it up and bring a DJ. Very chill place. Funky decoration and vintage furniture make up the environment.

Michelle P.

Yelp
This place was dead inside when we got there and didn't really have the drinks I enjoy, but they could have made anything off menu. I did try a drink in the honey bear which was very good a strong. We ended up sitting outside which is actually another bar. The bartenders were very nice though, I'd go back.

Ariana V.

Yelp
On the Orlando bar and cocktail scene, Lil Indies is somewhat under the radar and forgotten about. It's a shame because the cocktails are excellent! To me, it's the place I go to while hopping down Mills for date night to try 1-2 unique cocktails. They change their menu frequently and yet I never have trouble finding something that appeals to me. The bartenders take pride in what they create and are always friendly. Sitting at the bar, if you're lucky enough to snag a spot, offers you the best experience. For a completely different vibe, you can go for live music later on in the night, but I prefer Lil Indies in its more low key state.

Austin S.

Yelp
This place is very hidden and easy to pass in the Mills area but I am so glad we decided to stop and try it. It's my new favorite bar in town. A true hidden gem for sure! The service was incredible and I loved the vibe inside as soon as you step in it's an experience, everything was vintage inspired can't wait to come back with our friends!

Valerie B.

Yelp
The service was great. I believe her name was Sam! Super sweet and helpful. I ordered a glass of wine. And she made sure that glass was clean before she served me. (I've gone to a lot of places where the glass will have water stains and I don't like that! So the fact that I saw her bring the glass to light.. I loved that!!) The space is different! They had live music and were playing a Harry Potter movie which instantly made me a fan lol It has an old homey feel but still elevated. I don't know if they serve food. But I'd like to go back! They also have a little out door seating area which is where I sat.

Yelp
Lil Indies is one of my favorite Orlando spots. The vibe is super laid back and I always feel welcome, plus they have great cocktails too! The atmosphere is very antiquey but with low lighting so it makes it a little spooky which I love. Like one of the photos on the wall might stare at you as you walk by kinda vibe. The cocktails are always interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors, I don't think there's been a cocktail I haven't liked! Last time I was there I got a cocktail with the name Max in it (sorry I can't remember the whole name) and it was fantastic! They can also make you something off the menu and they have a selection of beer/wine/seltzer as well if you are with someone that isn't into crafty cocktails. If you like bourbon make sure to ask about what they've got, if they have extra they will sell you unopened bottles if you are looking for something specific. Lil Indies is definitely a local spot that you don't want to miss!

Mina B.

Yelp
Nice spot for some drinks and hang out time. I would recommend it when they have live music. Fun little spot.

Yelp
Popped in for a drink last night, bartender was friendly, patient and super knowledgeable. I described what time of drink I was in the mood for and he came through

Yelp
Overall cool spot. Great selection of interesting music performances, they're not locked in to mainstream stuff only. 4+ stars for the venue. 2 stars for the staff. I asked the bartender a question about his skillset (which is good btw, dude has a bit of performative flair & the drink was good) out of genuine interest, and this guy just turned and walked away. I'm preeetty sure he didn't miss it cuz I was like "hey, I have a question for you" and then made eye contact while asking. Dude couldn't even give me a two second answer, just left me hangin, turned, & walked away to get to the next customer. Rude / 10.

Carlos H.

Yelp
I frequently end up here with friends to have some drinks and catch-up whenever I'm in the Mills area. The drinks are solid and not too expensive, depending on what you order. They have a great happy hour you can order from if you notice it while you're there. Service is usually pretty decent, it reminds me of a dive bar honestly. The decor and vibe is a little grungy, kinda like Orlando itself. Not a bad spot.

Stacy F.

Yelp
A hipster dive bar that does the vibe right. You'll have to look a little to find this place, cause it's a pretty small venue that you could walk right by if you aren't looking for it. You'll definitely want to pop in if you can though cause it's got a unique vibe that's not to be missed. We decided to hit it up after another happy hour within walking distance. The place has been bookmarked for a while, so it was on the must try out list already. We walked on down and headed in. It feels like a house that was converted to a bar. When you walk in you'll see old couches and some paintings. Around the corner to the left is the bar itself. It's a pretty tight area and there are seats there, which means you'll have to work around people to get a drink, which was the only part I didn't love. They did have menus up with chalk writing for the specials and the options. The house cocktails were super fun. Overall: A Great hipster bar with a lot to offer despite its small size.

Julio H.

Yelp
This tiny bar that only sits 4 or 6 serves a good variety of craft cocktails. The place itself is pretty big, with tables and sofas, even a small stage for bands. Outside there are seats with a view of Mills Avenue. The bar: tiny. The drinks that I have gotten here have been pretty good. Even the punch, which is served sometimes for fundraisers, is good. You can't go wrong with any of the offerings. The bar itself is a piece of art, with many offbeat decorations. This place is eye candy and funky. What makes this place 5 stars is the entertainment. The bands that come here are super cool, and I really like the Monday Night Jazz. Finally, there is no TV screen here so you need to have some type of conversation. This is not a sports bar, but screaming improprieties and high five-ing is still cool.

Brent B.

Yelp
4 stars for a hipster bar that actually gets it right. When it comes to unique cocktail bars aka hipster bars, many places get a little too "stuffy" with the concept. Whether it is an uncomfortable atmosphere or high-priced drinks that include ingredients just for the sake of justifying the price, many hipster bars aren't worth repeated visits. Fortunately, Lil Indies, located in the Mills District, doesn't fall into those traps. When you show up at Lil Indies, the first thing I always seem to find is a fun food stand right outside. Whether it is empanadas or hot dogs, I've generally been able to get some street food before heading inside. Once you walk inside, you immediately see what looks like a cross between a haunted and 70's style living room. While I wasn't sure where I was the first time I visited, I will tell you that having all of these comfy couches and little tables makes the late night experience much more enjoyable for us old folks. If you want a drink (since you are at a bar), the way you get one is to go over into the next room. Unlike the front room, the next room is an open (although small and dark) area with a bar. When you get up to the bar, you will see several boards with various drink options. One is a beer board (draft and bottle, another is a seasonal cocktails board with some interesting seasonal cocktails with "written out" looking text, and then a cocktails board with more cocktails in a more traditional font. Behind the bar is a wall with tons and tons of liquors for the bartenders to pull and use. I've ordered a couple of the drinks (can't quite remember the names due to the time of night, but I think the one pictured is a Snax Appeal), and the bartender has always been willing to explain what is in the drink and made me something that tasted quite delicious. Overall, the combination of a cool and comfy seating concept with good drinks makes Lil Indies one of the better cocktail bars in Orlando. If you are looking for a cocktail while in the Mills District, this is a place you should check out.

Robyn Y.

Yelp
Lil Indies is a bar attached to Will's Pub that serves craft cocktails. Its in a great location... you can have dinner nearby and walk here for a night cap. On some nights they have music-- we saw a man setting up a sitar but were unable to stay long enough to hear him play. We always go quite early- around 8pm... I imagine it gets pretty busy and crowded as the night goes on. I like that they have a dry hard cider in the fridge. My favorite original craft cocktail they serve right now has elderflower and lavender. They change the menu seasonally. The vibe is friendly, a little hipster (but not meaning this in a bad way... the bar is called Lil Indes after all...). Have fun!

Natasha S.

Yelp
I love Lil Indies. I love the local bars in the Mills/50 area, and this one is a good one to check out. They make great craft cocktails. Their menu rotates pretty frequently with a variety of interesting drinks. You can also get standard drinks or beer if you don't want a fancy cocktail. The bartenders are pretty nice. It can get busy at times, but they usually have a less hectic crowd than some other places. I've found Lil Indies to still be relatively chill even on Friday and Saturday nights as opposed to some other places where you'll wait forever to even reach the counter. Pretty laid back vibes, strong quality drinks.

Tamara K.

Yelp
I went to this bar for the first time and stumbled upon it quite literally by mistake! I thought I walked into someone's living room!! Lol but when I got to the actual bar I was greeting by then bartender Jen! I never know what I like to drink but I said I'd like something with vodka, that's fruity! And no sugary liqueurs! They make me sick! Idk what she whipped up! But it was AMAZING! It was such a great drink!! Unfortunately I had to leave because my son had a fever that apparently my husband couldn't deal with! but I really enjoyed her conversation and Aura! And that bomb ass drink! 10/10! Would def recommend! Oh!!! And I got such nostalgia at the music playing! I will definitely be back! And I live near Kissimmee! Lol

Iris H.

Yelp
Went here for the first time on St. Patties. They were part of a pub crawl for the night. Really amazing drinks; it reminded me of marvel bar and other speakeasy spots. The vibe is awesome and laid back though. They have a lot of different rooms and outside seating depending on what you want. They even have a little coffee bar in the basement for certain days. I had a variety of gin drinks and walked around looking at all the art. It's a pretty cool spot I recommend anyone visiting Orlando stop by for a spell.

Beatrice M.

Yelp
Friday with DJ BMF was so entertaining. I love the old dance music and accompanying videos made it a dance party with a different vibe than all the others bars in town. The drinks here are always on point. The space itself does have the dive bar feel but more like an underground dive bar you just stumbled into... it does get a little warm inside so dress accordingly

Kellie B.

Yelp
This unique bar is located in the Winter Park/Orlando area. This is not your typical bar. As you walk through the closed door, you think, "did I enter the right door?" You enter into a room that takes you back in time to setting similar to a 1970's american living room. You proceed to pass through another retro room, which has me less confused and more curious. Just through the rooms is the dance floor and a small bar. I was invited by a friend on a Friday night to get a drink and I fell in love with the secretiveness of this establishment. The music being played was all throwbacks with the music video being displayed on a screen. The dance floor was packed with everyone busting their best 1990's moves. They had a special cocktail menu hanging on the wall that were super fun with beers and liquors of your choice. No cover charge which is always a bonus! I would definitely recommended checking out this bar for a different and fun atmosphere. This place was amazing!

Bethany W.

Yelp
I love the home-y feel of Lil Indies! Swing in, grab a fancy cocktail, and take a seat on one of the couches or comfy chairs. It's a little dark so if you want more light, there is also an awesome patio in the back and the front with plenty of picnic benches and seats. The DJ always spins some great jams. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. They have a list of about 8 craft cocktails (which change occasionally) and I wanna try them all. I haven't been disappointed yet with the drinks I've tried! They also have a full bar if you're feeling something on the classic side. La Empanada truck is parked out front most weekend nights and makes for a great snack along with your speciality cocktail. Definitely a great place with great drinks! No cover to get in and you can always take your drink next door to Wills Pub and catch some live music!

Lauren C.

Yelp
Hipster dive bar... not our typical scene. My boyfriend and I wandered into Lil Indies for a drink on a Saturday night after having dinner just down Mills Ave. It was a very busy night inside and the space was packed with people. When we finally made it up to the bar after about 15 min of waiting in the crowd, we decided on two specialty cocktails to make it worth our time. The two bartenders were super crafty with their drink slinging - chipping away at ice blocks, adding drops of ingredients from medicine bottles, etc. However, with such a big crowd and so many orders flying in, I didn't feel like we got the $30 bar tab experience. The bartenders were working so frantically that I didn't get to enjoy watching her make my drink. We're just not the crowd this bar caters to (you can usually find us tossing bean bags at a brewery). Cheers to those who enjoy it!

Scotty C.

Yelp
I loved everything about this bar from the moment we walked in. The vintage furniture and cool art all over the walls plus the live music was excellent too... already a recipe for good times. Then we got down to ordering some drinks. I had a few that night but one of them was outstanding enough I had to go back for more... When It Goes A Rye. I'm a big fan of Bulleit Rye in the first place but the combination of ingredients in this cocktail created the perfect storm for me. Some genius decided to add cold brew coffee for that fresh brewed flavor as well as ancho chili for a tiny kick of heat. then mix in a little honey to make it ever-so-slightly sweet. Next it's finished off with mole bitters which works so well with the coffee flavor. I haven't got around to it yet but I am seriously considering recreating this beverage at home.

Melody S.

Yelp
Definitely a dive Indy bar. Definitely hipster. Takes a long time to get served. I feel like I'm at a warped tour 2004 after party being here. Furniture is vintage. Floor is sticky. I think there's one lightbulb on In the whole sitting area. Cocktails are memorable, cosmonaut has all the vitamins you want with the booze to get you going. Loud. Not romantic. Smoking on the patio which can be pretty overwhelming. Someone brought kids ? Don't know why. Lot of pretty weird art for sale, not the kind of thing I'd look at and be relaxed. I'd come back for drinks in my punk rock t-shirt. Interesting crowd.

Melissa S.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years and it's always a great time. This bar appears to have been an old house at one time that they converted into a bar and lounge area. You will find antique furniture and pictures throughout the venue and live music or Djs on certain nights. The bar staff is friendly and efficient and the drinks never disappoint. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is because the bathroom needs some work. There is only one bathroom for both men and women and it wasn't really that clean the last time I was there. Otherwise this is a great place to catch some music and drinks!

Megan M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Feels like walking into a 1980s basement full of kitten paintings, old couches, and unfinished ceiling, and exposed wiring. Tons of interesting mixed concoctions, very reasonably priced, especially considering the work put in to creating them.

Cindee P.

Yelp
I love the underground feel of this joint. The atmosphere is chill and the music was groovy. The chick singing when we came could hit some notes. From the previous photos, the drink menu changes up every so often. I was mesmerized by the handwriting on the chalkboards. We ordered Ode to Locksmiths, Send in the Clowns and something Rye (I forgot the name). I can get used to this place.

Ashley L.

Yelp
Lil Indies, how do I describe you? Such a juxtaposition of divey, funky, lively, and a little bit...fancy? It's my favorite, what I would call, dive bar in Orlando but it has craft cocktails that you'd expect at a posh mixology bar and one if the best whisk(e)y selections I've seen in Orlando. They hand cut their ice cubes from a giant block with a chainsaw. Their quirky craft cocktails rotate frequently and include things you never knew you wanted to try like mezcal and yogurt. They also have a few taps for interesting beer and bottles and cans. They have happy hour every day with specials on beer, wine, and cocktails. They also have a package license so you can take bottles of liquor and beer to go, which includes items that may be hard to find in stores. They have live music several times a week (if Eugene Snowden and his 10 Pints of Truth are playing, you're in for a treat), host other events like trivia and discussions, and have local art on the walls for sale. The vibe is very hard to peg and the decor is eclectic. This is a very quirky spot that pretty much guarantees a good drink and a fun night.

If you get to go on a night Eugene Snowden is playing, definitely recommend!! They also have great hip hop nights. Great cocktails and laid back ambiance. A welcoming place where everyone can be themselves! Different crowds but everyone gets along. Love coming here and bringing friends/recommending!

Yelp
2019 Review 86/100 An interesting dive bar that feels like you're taking a step back in time. It's a hipster hangout, that's for sure. Not really my crowd or my scene but I can appreciate the charm of this bar and I do stop by every once in a while when I'm bar hopping Mills 50. There are a lot of adjoining rooms and it can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends. This is a popular spot. The drinks are good and the staff is friendly. Worth a stop in.
