Lil Papi's International Deli

I highly recommend this spot, the sandwiches are absolutely off the chain and the variety is insane! I couldn’t decide on just one, so I ended up ordering two: the smash-burger and the gyro. Both were incredible. I only ate half of each and took the rest home for later because they were just that good. My wife ordered the Chicken Salad Club, and after stealing a few bites, I can honestly say it’s some of the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together. We will definitely be going back!

I am from northern NY. I am a foodie who has traveled extensively and have eaten in quite a few sandwich shops. Let me tell you this place makes the BEST sandwiches I have EVER tasted, hands down! Their quality ingredients, fresh made bread, and homemade chimicurri sauce put their sandwiches leaps and bounds ahead of any other place. The variety also means that if I lived around here, I wouldn't hesitate to visit multiple times a week and I'd never have to eat the same thing twice. It was so delicious, my husband and I visited for lunch for two days in a row while we were in NC visiting family. We brought several of our family members on the second day so they could try it for themselves and they all agreed.. best sandwiches they had ever tasted. Happy returning customers for life, here. We will make this a must stop place every time we come to NC to see our family.

The food here is phenomenal, the wait...not so much. Came on a Wednesday during lunch time and waited about 35 minutes for 3 sandwiches. Thankfully, I can say it was well worth the wait and I would gladly visit again! Stopped by with two friends and we got #63 Grilled Chicken Club 🐔 x2 #32 Banh Mi Burger 🇻🇳🇺🇲 They both got the Club and I had two bites of one. Although it's certainly a good sammie, I wouldn't say it's anything to write home about. I think with all the choices at this shop there are just too many better options than to go with the club. (Purely off speculation as it's my first time here and I've only had one other sandwich but the descriptions speak for themselves 💯) The Bahn Mi Burger, on the other hand, is just an amazing combination of Vietnamese and Americana. The burger meat was delicious and well cooked, that grease mingling well with the shredded carrots, cilantro, radishes and all the other veggies....mmmmmm. Sum good eats right there! The bread was so crisp and held everything together perfect, the flavor was just iconic. Truly something different and enjoyable. I'm excited to come back for the sandwich but definitely looking forward to seeing what else they have on the menu. Definitely a spot to visit more than once!

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for the first time Not extremely busy, but steady. Associate recommended the TN Bourbon Chicken and the NY Chop Cheese. Also ordered Reina Pepiada. All was excellent!!

Clean place with friendly staff. Classic deli sides. I got a Philly style sandwich. It was very salty, and a good size. I’ll be back to try something else. It’s def got potential.

Lovely little spot! A huge selection of sandwiches/ burgers/ bowls inspired by many different world cuisines. I got the Lil Havana and my friend the Banh Mi. Both were delicious. Excellent value. Servers were very welcoming and friendly. I'll be back to eat my way up and down that menu!

OMG Delicious!!! Call in to pick up. 15 min. Was ready when i got there. The best potato salad of Concord. I don’t like sweet relish potato salad so this is Perfect for me, pasta salad was good also, but the potato salad AMAZING. The sandwiches WOW!!! Really spectacular, ordered the Buenos Aires and the Lil Havana. Bread fresh, both sandwiches huge and full of meat and all the ingredients. Perfect size. 10 out of 10. Hidden gem. My goal is to try all the sandwiches. Congrats had not find something like this in a while.

First time coming here. One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. #97 NY Chop Cheese and #30 Primo Italiano. So. Good. Everything was full of flavor and DELICIOUS. Staff is really nice and the place was clean. Def coming back to try something else. 🥙🔥

Another delish trip to Lil Papi's! I really love this lil spot. This was my first time actually going in. We usually order them on DoorDash, but this time we decided to stop by. It's super chill inside, but a good about of tables. You order from the register and they prep your food fresh. We waited about 10 minutes, nothing crazy. I didn't realize how big their menu was. I really wanted to try something new but I still ended up getting my fav sandwich, the banh mi! It's soooooo good, it's hard to want to try anything else lol. I also tried the greek salad, which was fire too. My fiance got two different things a sandwich and a quesadilla. He really liked what he got too. They have a great menu and great food! Love Lil Papi's!!

Outstanding! Gotta love little papis. Fresh juicy steak piled on my buenos ares put me in a good mood so did the fresh toppings and freshly baked bread. Oh and it was perfectly seasoned, the sandwich was so good with the added chimichurri sauce. Just thinking of it is making me drool right now. 10/10 100/100

I have mixed reviews about this place. I ordered a salad and sandwich. The guy making the sandwiches seemed fairly new and had to ask a lot of questions about where he could find the items to make my sandwich. The sandwich was turkey, bacon, cheese, and I added sun-dried tomatoes and extra pickles. He refused to put the extra pickles on my sandwich because he said it would make it soggy. The bread comes from the next door Mexican bakery and is thick, so I asked again to let me be the judge of the sogginess. It wasn't soggy when I got home to eat it, nor did he include extra pickles on the side. For a deli, I didn't get the "deli" feel. I'd rather my meats be sliced kind of thinly, but the slice cuts were thick, which made the sandwich weight at least 3 pounds. It was heavy. I could barely eat half of it. Usually, that's a good thing, but it lacked flavor. I didn't taste any of their "lil papi's style" seasonings, even though that's how I ordered it, minus tomato. I felt like I was bothering the sandwich maker, so I didn't ask anymore questions after he told me he thought more than 2 pickles would be too many. The pickles tasted bread and butter, so I was okay that he didn't put more on there. I like dill pickles better. The ambience was okay for a small space. There were tables and chairs to sit inside and a few outside to enjoy the sunshine. Try it out and let me know what you thought!

Was in town, hungry, and looking for something new to me. Lil Papi's popped up at the top of my Yelp search for "lunch near me." Cool! The kicker, however, was other members of my Yelp Posse of Pals had also been here and wrote great reviews. Thanks Ashley F, Victoria L, Edward P, Suzanne A, and Daniel P! I decided on the Buenos Aries with chips. Excellent sandwich, just OK Ruffles--I prefer a selection of small bags from which to choose. The Sammie was hot, juicy, and filled to the rafters. I liked it a lot. If I lived here, I could see myself working through their large and diversified international menu of subs, paninis, arepas, and quesadillas one delicious meal at a time. Has my "Give 'em a Whirl" meter scanning the menu for the next victim. Support local. Go here.

Another good experience at Lil Papi's. This is one of my favorite places to stop in for lunch around Concord. The vibe is relaxed and in nice days you can sit at the tables outside. The folks inside know their stuff and make your sandwich fresh. Basically, you place your order for one of many internationally themed sandwiches at the counter, you pay at the register and are given a number. A server brings your sandwich to the table. The star of this show is the bread. It's made in an adjacent bakery by hand and is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Lil Papi's.

Obviously I've been living under a rock because I had never heard of Lil Papi's before today. I drive to the concord area about every other month, sometimes I don't stop because I'm headed to Charlotte but this time we stopped on our way back to Winston from Concord and wanted to grab dinner before it got too late. We didn't get there until almost 8pm on a Friday night and it was hopping with call in orders and people eating in. After checking out the huge menu we placed our order at the counter and took a seat. We ordered the NY chop cheese and the Buenos Aries. It took almost 30 min to get our food but like I mentioned before they were busy and I was patient. When it came it was hot and fresh. First bite of my NY Chop Cheese was the crunch of the roll and gooey beef, cheese and all the condiments. Plan on at least 6 napkins for this one! Every bite was dripping with sauce but the flavors were balanced and so good. The chop cheese I've had in New York City was served on a soft hoagie roll but I loved the crispy texture of the one served here at Lil Papi's. My husbands Buenos Aries was a flavor bomb with the added bonus of the chimichurri sauce. It was super juicy and left a puddle of delicious juice on the paper he enjoyed dipping his last few bites in. Both sandwiches were generous portions and I didn't need any sides at all to be full and satisfied. Lil Papi's has such a huge menu though it would be a challenge to try everything. People were also grabbing cookies and other desserts they had to offer but we were too stuffed to even think about it this trip. I immediately told my son all about Lil Papi's so he could also give it a try sometime.

I ordered the Buenos Aires sandwich, and overall it was a very satisfying meal. The sandwich came with sliced beef, crisp cabbage, and a chimichurri sauce, all piled onto fresh bread. The beef was well seasoned and tasty. They offered a wide selection of hot sauces to add to your sandwich. My one real complaint is that the bottom side of the bread got soggy quickly and began to fall apart as I ate it. But despite that, it was a solid sandwich. I would return.

My 2nd time coming here and it's the same as the first. Great options fresh ingredients and full of flavor. I was especially impressed with the potato salad. Very good and it reminded me of my father's recipe. It's always busy but don't let that stop you from experiencing Papi's

First time at Lil Papi International Deli. Its a small but very clean deli. You can eat there or grab takeout. Everyone is very nice. It took me longer to order and they were patient. I had the bacon cheeseburger quesadilla which was very tasty. A bit greasy but tasty. The sandwiches looked really good. I plan to try one of them next time. Prices are reasonable for the portion you get. I will definitely be back.

We tried this place for the first time and enjoyed our food very much. The menu is large. The location is convenient. I ordered a rice bowl. The ingredients were fresh. The portion size was huge. It came with hummus and tzatziki sauce on the side. Others in my party got sandwiches. They were good as well. The restaurant is clean. They have a 97.5 sanitation grade. The atmosphere is upbeat. The employees were friendly enough. I paid at the register and dropped a tip in the tip bucket labeled and provided by the restaurant. Once I sat down and looked at the receipt I discovered that they also put a tip on the bill. They received a huge "tip" counting the one I gave and the one they slid in on the bill. They never even came to our table after our was brought out. That's not a good practice and not appreciated.

Ate here about a month ago and just getting around to my review ... first of all, the last time I saw a sandwich menu this diverse - was a place in Lynchburg, VA, called Macados. Speaking of Lynchburg, the owner is an LU alumnus so this place felt a smidge more like home. When you walk through the front door, I was impressed with the organization and cleanliness. Drink refrigerators to the right. The register and tempting desserts with a few menus. You can walk past and check out their sides and dessert options before ordering. I ended up choosing the Buenos Aires (added cheese) with a side of their corn salad. The sandwich bread is to absolutely die for. I live in LKN and will now make the trip frequently - it's that good! The homemade chimichurri sauce just set this sandwich over the edge. Don't let my photo fool you, this sandwich easily fed me for two meals. The corn salad is served cold. I prefer a sweet corn and this delivered. Til next time!

I have ordered from here a number of times. It's a really good choice if you want a hearty meat, heavy sandwich! We usually door dash it, so I can't speak to the ambiance of the place. My usual order is a chicken Philly cheesesteak and it always a fresh tasting, well seasoned and hearty sandwich . Though I wouldn't hate a pickle included with my sandwich :-) Their salad could stand some improvements. But they provide nice portions. They also have a simple dessert menu, but everything on the menu is good. So in my opinion you get your money's worth. Oh and they rarely get any orders wrong. I do recommend!

Lil papi big ol menu. Over 80 different sandwiches yeah I'll take a sandwich with a side of sandwich. Very bright and positive energy as soon as you walk through the door. I came on a special day papi was in the kitchen cooking it up. I had the Buenos Aires and the Istanbul. First thing first I'm not a sandwich person because bread is an acquired taste for me lol. Here the bread is light fresh and complements the other ingredients. Fresh toppings, big spins and twist with every sandwich. The Istanbul was my choice of the night. I couldn't really eat the Buenos Aires it was bit salty or overly seasoned. Gave it to my friend she chose the Istanbul as well. I'll definitely be back and hold the season on the Buenos Aires to give it a fair shot. Wasn't able to try the chimichurri sauce looks and smells like my past life in Miami lol. I have over 80 more sandwiches to try can't wait to try them all. Thank me later.

I've been eyeing this place since we moved here and just never got around to trying it until recently. I can say, new favorite sandwich shop unlocked! They have so many sandwiches to feed any craving you have. Everything looked SO good, I wanted to order it all. We ended up ordering the primo italiano and the jerk chicken quesadilla. Everything was delicious! Loved every bite of it. The Italian sub is a hot sub, which I've never had before. I usually get cold Italian subs. It was such a big sub! Had great flavors and a little spice. The jerk chicken quesadilla is spicy yet sweet and full of flavor! When we walked in, the guy that helped us was so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be returning and making sure we earn every last bit of our rewards!

My fiance loves their chicken sandwich here. I had the Olympian bowl it was very salty and very filling, I saved half for later. For the next day I had the Buenos Aires sandwich and it was delicious! I can't wait to try their other sandwiches! We ordered our meal online and picked up, Service was awesome and fast.

I moved to concord last September and I've been looking for some good food since I moved. I found this place on Yelp and the food looked good. Came in with no expectations because we all know how food in clt and surrounding areas is. I initially wanted the Mongolian cheesesteak but asked the cashier what his favorite was. He pointed to the primo italiano and said. You can't go wrong with this. I took his word for it and ordered it. When I tell you this is the best sub/sandwich I've ever had, it is not an exaggeration. It was truly an experience eating the sub. Will definitely recommend, and for sure a returning customer.

Goodness what can I say, but amazing. I wanted everything on the menu. There were 3 in our party so we got 3 different sandwiches and shared. #17 was my favorite that day. Can't wait to go back and try 3 more! Don't miss the bakery next door, another wonderful treat!

Even though I let my wife pick our sandwich, it was delicious lol. Next time I think I will have to try one of their cheesesteaks. This is one of those places you want to order "one of everything." Tortellini salad and broccoli salad were both great. I have a feeling I'll give this place 5 stars every time I eat there. Nice to know there's a great deli closer than Calabash lol.

I loooooove Lil Papi's! Had been many times and never had a bad sandwich. My husband's favorite is the Primo - Italian sandwich. Has so much flavor! This time I had the banh mi burger which was good but a little heavy on the bbq/teriyaki sauce. Would have liked more pickling on the veggies too.

I had the T Dee cheesesteak and my husband had the Cuban. Both were excellent. Service was great also!

I was really excited to try this deli and they have a ton of choices and something for everyone. I tried the Philly cheesesteak which is listed as one of the top sellers but I was really disappointed with the taste, and I'm not really sure how to describe it but something seemed off with the meat. I definitely won't return to try something different as this experience just turned me off.

Incredible sandwiches! 3 of us each chose something different and sampled each other's food. We couldn't pick a favorite. The bread is fresh-baked next door and takes it to the next level. The bummer is that it's far from our house but we'll plan visits to Concord to eat here.

Lil Papi's has some solid offerings-my favorite is the chopped cheese. I personally think their sides have an opportunity to be improved but overall, very clean restaurant and the food is good. Many different varieties of sandwiches-I'd recommend trying them out!

Went here for the first time yesterday. What a fabulous find! All meats were cut to order. Gyro was awesome! Can't wait to try more menu items.

a while back I wasted most of an afternoon at OrthoCarolina in Concord with my lovely bride waiting for x-rays followed by a little medical malpractice... so going home to figure out what's for dinner was pretty far down on the list. but Lil Papi's was almost nearly close to being on the way home, sort of... but totally next door to odalys cake shop ;-) so there we were having sandwiches, so many options and no intentions or feel likes so pick something from the best sellers board and see what happens. what happened was an arepa for her and a grilled chicken club for me. we sat out front and close to the building because it was a little breezy but warmish for early autumn. my club was nothing special - which is the point when getting a chicken sandwich - it's predictable unlike my grapefruit soda. MLB never had arepa before but after commenting on the 'weird bread' she tucked into it like a champ sipping water between bites. said she didn't realize how hungry she was until the whole medicine-for-profit thing was behind us. so yeah, Lil Papi's is pretty alright even though it's way over there. on the plus side there's mexicookies right next door :-)

I haven't ordered from here in a while but ordered from here today and it was DELICIOUS. I ordered something new after seeing a friend having ordered it. The Bahn Mi burger. Oh my goodness! It's so good. The burger is so tender and seasoned perfectly and it's dressed in all the Bahn mi veggies and sauce. All in what I can only imagine is amazing bread they make or have an amazing bakery make it for them. So tasty.

I highly recommend! Food, service and ambience are great! The service was fast and the food was hot! Kids eat free on Wednesdays!! The ambiance is the cleanest!! I ordered the Philly cheesesteak with a Guava soda and both were delicious! Cannot wait to return!!

The sandwiches are next level. Found this hidden gem driving through the area. I'm a yelper and the pictures sucked me right in. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Thoughtful employee. Deli or casual ambiance style in the restaurant. Counter order style. Overwhelming sandwich offerings and everything looked to die for!!!!! Our food was fast, reasonably priced and yummy in the tummies. You can tell the owners care about this place. So glad we stopped in. Would be back any time we are in the area!

Took the family to Papi's for dinner, wanted to try it out for the first time. The sandwiches were very good and large sizes. The side salads were also very good, be aware that the sandwiches do not come with any sides, no combos. Everything is A-LA-CART, entrée, side and drink is all sold separately. This all $tart$ to add up with a family of three or more. The drink cooler needs to be adjusted for colder drinks, our drink purchases were not very cold. No fountain drinks, no refills. I will return, like I said, the entrées are really fresh and good just need to create some specials and offer fountain drinks especially for families.

I've lived in Concord for 7 years. This is the best restaurant I've been to. Everything is great. Always super busy so be patient. It's well worth it!

Absolutely delicious food! Got a work order from here today and we all were quite pleased, so I'm sure it's even better to eat it right there. I got the NY chopped cheese after seeing on their website that it was a popular item, and I can see why. The savory meat and cheese with fresh veggies should please anyone. The portions were huge too; I definitely didn't need a side and I'm glad I didn't get one. Just make sure you get some napkins!

Lil Papi's never disappoints. The food is amazing, everything i have tried was amazing. The portions are great and the price is also great for what you're getting. Service is very good as well never had an issue. The ambiance is nice as well! You won't go wrong selecting anything from the menu!

Well... I wanted to like this place. It smells delicious when you walk in. The service however is super slow, disconnected and disjointed. Several employees just kind of loitering around, talking to each other and dancing to the music. They brought our food to the wrong table, who looked the food over, lifting the buns then rejecting it as wrong. I watched as they took it back into the kitchen then tried to bring it back out to us after a minute. We waited 29 minutes for our order. Ordered at 1:58pm---after the lunch rush--received our food at 2:27pm unacceptable. No explanation, no apology. Food was good.

Excellent sandwiches stuffed with meat and vegetables. The bread is delicious! The banh mi needed some pickle for the vegetables cut it was wonderfully fresh tasting and the Buenos Aires was so messy and yummy!

I have been slowly working my way through the menu and nothing has disappointed, there have been certain things that have been more my taste than other but the quality of every single sandwich has been consistent. My personal favorites have been the chopped cheese, the lil havana, and the Cuban ruban.

Of all the foods in all the places, my family probably consumes sandwiches most of all. So when we needed a quick lunch after a day at the zoo, we went to Lil Papi's. Though the interior is small, the menu is extensive. Sandwiches of all varieties and flavors are included on the menu. I went with my favorite, a gyro. Big Daddy opted for a rice bowl. My gyro was delicious and flavorful, with tender meat and fresh veggies. Big Daddy didn't love his bowl -- too much rice, not enough meat/toppings -- but he still declared it "good." The kids ordered subs and quesadillas, all of which were declared to be "excellent." Chips cost extra and we bought more than we needed since we were unaware of how large the sandwiches were. I tried the tortellini salad which was also very good. The entire place was clean, pleasant, and welcoming. We will definitely eat here again if we return to the area.

To say the sandwiches here are amazing is putting it mildly. The bread is crusty yet soft, the meat is so good and tasty and all ingredients are fresh. The sandwiches are pretty big. Our guys almost took half home, but decided it was so good they just had to finish them off! I did take half the quesadilla home. We had the Bueno Aires, Philly Cheesesteak and the Philly chicken cheese quesadilla. Nice peppy, Latino music playing, and happy employees. I'm so happy we discovered this place - we will definitely be back! Forgot about taking pics until we were half way done.

I very rarely recommend a restaurant in the Concord area because most are pretty lame, but THIS... Lil Papi's is great. Fresh, hearty and flavorful sandwiches! Will definitely be telling everyone and coming back!

I have been here twice so far. I forgot to take a picture but has the Lil Havana as well their version of a club sandwich. ( I forget the name). The staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. Great place to eat in or dine out.

So many varied cultures and flavors are at work here for something truly spectacular. I personally recommend the Peruvian Delight, which absolutely lives up to it's name.

The menu said that they had gluten-free options. However they had one item that was gluten-free so if you have any allergies or intolerances, this may not work for you.

Y'all!! Don't sleep on Lil Papi's. It took us way too long to get here. This place is awesome. The menu is large so I suggest you check it out before you go OR better yet we got the inside scoop to call ahead for pick up. ALL sandwiches are handmade so be patient with them if you place order in store. The restaurant itself is not large so I wouldn't recommend you show up with a crowd that wants to sit together. But certainly you can do a pick up and enjoy at home!!

I will just be adding on to all of the rave reviews that already exist, but they are spot on, Lil Papi's has some outstanding sandwiches! I have stopped in a handful of times and gotten something different each time, but it has never disappointed. Also very reasonably priced compared to the chains they would be compared to. I think my most recent favorite was the Buenos Aires. Grilled steak and onions, with crunchy fresh cabbage, and chimichurri drizzled over the top! Very good! Lil Papi's is certainly popular so I do try it hit it a bit off from the prime times as they can get backed up during the lunch rush hour, but is worth a little wait! Will definitely be back and try some other scrumptious sandwiches!
