"Starts at: $30/hour Mon-Sun with a two-hour minimum for up to six people Lincoln Karaoke might look like a legal office was reincarnated as a karaoke bar, but this nearly 20-year-old establishment is an institution. They don’t have the fancy lighting setups, staff call buttons, or high-tech touchscreen systems, but the decently sized rooms and solid price make this Lincoln Square spot a fun and reliable option. You can order food like just-fine pizza and wings from the bar if you're in dire need of a snack, but we prefer coming here after eating elsewhere and closing out the night with some drinks and a few rounds of “Mr. Brightside.”" - john ringor, nick allen

Google
Had such a nice time! Booked their largest room and fit about 12 people inside. Anymore and we would have had to start seating people on the floor. Sound quality and music organization was top notch. We only ever heard other rooms when we weren't singing. Way more fun here than the average bar experience.

This place is amazing. The staff took care of us and were very hospitable. Michael was great at helping us with our large party and needs. Nice personal rooms with all the equipment one needs to celebrate a celebration. Prices are fantastic. Food is good. Drinks are strong and perfectly mixed. Thank you all.

Google
Great atmosphere and support for karaoke. Got a room and had an excellent time with various songs from the simple touchpad system. Sound was great and there were plenty of drinks for sale to meet our groups needs.

Google
Awesome time here! Very affordable with a large group. Recommend bringing someone who knows how to use the tech, but it was pretty simple using the tablet instead of the karaoke machine. The mics and speakers were working but one speaker would sometimes crackle. Food is the typical bar/pub variety, also fantastic.

So much fun!!! We went because my mom said she wanted to do karaoke for her birthday. Everyone who said they won't sing - got up to do a song or two - really a lot of fun. The food was decent - really liked the sweet potato fries and their drink options were great. They had lychee soju which is amazing! The sound system was loud and you can adjust the volume - it was great! Wish there was more table space having a lot of people and food to accommodate. Will definitely go again!!

Google
The staff was amazing! Technology was really solid, with great mics and sound. Best place in Chicago for a private karaoke experience! I hadn't been in quite a few years but they had remodeled and greatly improved the aesthetic and food offering. The room rental price was really good and the drink prices were on par. Timing on food/drink orders was excellent. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Google
It looks small but way more space on the inside. Very fun atmosphere with good customer service and the owner is such a great hostess. Drinks and food is very affordable here too! They definitely help you out with any questions you may have before you go to the place so you know in advance. They make you feel welcome to enjoy yourself at the Lincoln Karaoke spot

Google
We rented a room where either the device or the WiFi did not work resulting in many songs just stopping - not loading - or crashing. We got told by the guys running “that just happens sometimes” and even though we left an hour early we were only comped for a half.

Yelp
This Place Was Awesome! It Definitely Exceeded My Expectations. I Booked A Medium-Sized Room (Fits 7-14 People) For $40/Hour With A 2-Hour Minimum, And Each Guest Had To Spend At Least $15 During That Time. Totally Worth It! The Guy Who Checked Me In Was Super Nice And Personable, As Were All The Bartenders. The Rooms Are Well-Equipped With Fun Lights, Six Microphones, An iPad, And Three Screens That Display The Lyrics. Everything Worked Seamlessly, Which Added To The Experience. Some People In My Group Ordered Food, And I Heard Nothing But Good Things. The Fries, In Particular, Are Massive--Easily Enough For 3-4 People. We Tried The Parmesan Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Regular Fries, And Wings. All Were Hits! The 2 Hours Flew By, And We Wished We Had Booked Longer. I Overheard The Staff Mention That If You Want To Extend Your Time, You Have To Let Them Know In Advance Because It Gets Super Busy. Overall, An Incredible Spot For Karaoke And A Great Night Out! Highly Recommend Booking Ahead And Planning For A Longer Session.

Yelp
A really fun place that has great prices especially on weekdays. Our group of 5 came on a Tuesday night. I liked that there were 6 microphones in the room so that we could all sing together. It's powered by Youtube so you can find any song you like. The only downside is you can't queue up songs. We had also hoped for tambourines that usually are at other karaoke places! The soju cocktails were extremely sweet - though it was just Milkis and soju so I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised.

Yelp
Lincoln hosted a team event with my company (a large technical corporation, you'd know the name). We told them we needed a room for 22 or so people. When we got there, the room looked a little small to me but the host, Ethan, assured us that we'd find it most comfortable. Karaoke was a new choice, entertainment wise, so there was some trepidation in choosing this venue. But once we got settled in, we found the place to be delightful on all fronts. The quality and promptness of service was wonderful. The host went out of his way to ensure we all had an enjoyable evening. The karaoke (YouTube based) worked quite well; just one or two little glitches that were promptly addressed by the staff. The food was what we expected coming in, not particularly fancy but quite good. The feedback from our group was unanimously positive, with many commenting that they didn't know what to expect coming in the door, but that they were glad they came. Biggest thanks to Ethan and his team for helping us create a memorable moment!

Yelp
We had THE BEST time at Lincoln Karaoke last night!! We reserved a 30-person room for 3 hours on a Friday night and it was MORE than worth every penny. The owners are super sweet and laid back. They were cool with us bringing cake/cupcakes for my birthday but we also ordered a few yummy pizzas and fries, etc. Everything was great party food and our guests were all laughing and smiling the entire time. The new YouTube system meant we could find any song we wanted to sing our hearts out with 4 perfectly working microphones. 21 people came altogether and it was just the right amount of seating. If you have more, some people will be standing, but that's fun too! Highly highly recommend this for chill parties where no one feels awkward and can all enjoy cheap tasty drinks and food. Thank you thank you Lincoln Karaoke for making my birthday party truly magical!!

Yelp
Service was great!! We booked a private karaoke room, stayed for the Paul v. Tyson "dance partay", and had a FANTASTIC TIME!! Come check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Loved my time there! Private room Food and alcohol Tons of music choices Great lighting Returning this month

Yelp
I was invited to this establishment by a new friend and bartender at this location, and was pleasantly surprised by the load back ambience and friendliness of the staff. Krystal was very sociable as she served up bar specials during happy hour. Her coworker J. was just as sociable and entertaining while also engaging the customers as well. A 10 out of 10 on hospitality, drinks, and welcoming atmosphere.

Dann T.

Yelp
We had a really fun time. I normally hate karaoke, but with the private atmosphere I really had a good time. The staff was very attentive and helpful. However, the real kicker that made me write this review is the extent of the customer service. I left me card with an open tab (which is a thing that I do annoyingly often). I don't live very close so I called to see if they could mail it back to me. Instead, Ethan actually came and brought me my card! Thanks Ethan.

Joseph L.

Yelp
I love the place overall. It was nice to be able to have fun with friends from across the country as we all met up in Chicago. The staff and atmosphere were absolutely excellent and friendly. Please book in advance. The amount of yogurt/milkis soju we ordered was satisfying. The tequila shots were spot on but I wished there was salt, but at least we got the limes. The only downside I would say compared to karaoke bars in Georgia is that here they use just youtube rather than the korean style karaoke machine with the big tablet/remote. Basically we browsed music on youtube that we can do right at home. The mics were iffey at times where we couldn't sing our hearts out fully and we had to be at a particular distance away from some mics in order for them to work. Overall, I would recommend this place and would definitely come back here with my friends. Thank you for a good time and welcome to Chicago.

Shirley J.

Yelp
Out of all the karaoke bars I've been to so far in Chicago, I like this one the best. The prices are reasonable for room reservations, the sound quality was decent overall, and rooms were bright and had adequate space. When you first enter past the foyer, you see a number of different rooms. At least one of them can accommodate a large group of 7-14 people. The smaller rooms can accommodate 1-6 people, which is the one we chose. The front desk is located in the back. They had a lot of selections for non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. For the rooms, there is a two beverages/food requirement per person. Make sure you don't sneak outside food and drinks because the fine is $100-$500! Yikes. It's a bit outrageous, like the $500-$1,000 fine for littering in Arizona. Ha I like that there's a huge selection of songs though I'm not sure when they were last updated. The huge song book includes Korean songs also. I wish the menu on the screen was easier to navigate because it was pretty much all Korean characters that we couldn't read. The remote/keyboard was difficult to use and wasn't intuitive. I definitely plan on coming back!

Yelp
Great place to party & sing just a blast we song & drunk until we couldn't see check em out the owner very kool also got

Yelp
From the street, this place looks like nothing. Just a random storefront on a busy street. Once you enter, it still looks like nothing. A long white hallway with doors on both sides and a bar at the end. To be honest, when my friend told us this was her favorite place to do karaoke I was confused because this is no frills kind of place. But then we got into our room (we were a group of 12 and reserved a room for 3 hours) and the employees showed us how to work the machine and the microphones, I got it. They have a large library of music that you can sing karaoke to. Our room at 6 microphones that you could sing into which we used gratuitously. Their library is pretty extensive and has all the typical favorites you'd expect for karaoke and then a bunch of randoms The microphones required some adjustment from the staff once because we were getting interference but we were helped quickly. There were 4 TVs that all had the lyrics and the remote they gave you was pretty easy to work once you figured out how to add songs to the queue. We ordered drinks at the bar and they had some tasty cocktails. We also ended up ordering two pizzas that had cracker crusts but it was almost 10pm and we were getting the drunk munchies. So it satisfied that craving. This place does not allow in any outside food or beverage. So either eat in advance or be prepared to order mediocre food. Despite the pizza quality I still give this place 5 stars. Yes they serve food but they're a karaoke bar where you can grab a bunch of friends and sing horribly into a microphone for as long as you like. I hate standing up and singing in front of strangers but singing off key in front of friends was fun because they were singing along with me Definitely plan on being back.

Yelp
Started off the night with the girl trying to follow a group that was dressed up as old people into their room, called her back after we were "told" what room our friends were in. I walked in to a rather quiet and subdued room with a smart ass comment "this is the lamest Karaoke room I have ever been in" then we looked around and noticed that we knew no one... you might be thinking "awkward" but no, my wife and I will laugh about that crews faces for years, the looks were priceless. Sorted out the room assignment and walked into a fully boisterous cadre of friends and relative belting out tunes... that's more like it. Hilarity ensued, what a blast. One of our mikes kept chirping like a glass clinking but we didn't care. It is what it is, a place to let loose with your friends behind closed doors and away from the judgement of strangers while you try to sing.

Lauryn W.

Yelp
Best karaoke bar in chicago. Great private rooms no frills, they serve the beer pitchers with solo cups. Had an absolute blast.

Grace C.

Yelp
My husband and I have been going to Lincoln Karaoke since it opened. They have a great selection of songs and the owners and workers are very friendly. There are different size private rooms and the food and drinks are great too.

Daniel S.

Yelp
Went here for a party last Saturday. Not bad, about what you'd expect from a karaoke party place. Multiple rooms, 2 bars. The craft beer list was actually quite good for a karaoke bar, they had some lesser known Maplewood beers (though they were $10 each :/) The bartender was nice though, and friendly the whole night. For food, we got the nachos, and a meat pizza and a caprsese pizza. They were good for party food, the nacho plate was enormous. For songs, pretty good selection, I was able to sing a few, and everyone was able to find something they knew and liked. It's pretty far north, but at least parking near there is easy.

McKenna K.

Yelp
Cute little place. Cute funky bartenders. I love YOGuRt SOJU! Parking in back. I think it's a great place for hosting a weetle party!

Andrea R.

Yelp
My own little room for karaoke where I can scream (um, i mean sing) to my heart's content and not worry about the judgment of strangers. This is better than the shower! I dragged 16 peeps, including an unsuspecting bachelorette, here for a night of singing and drinking on Fri night. I booked a room with Lincoln Karaoke's sweet owner, Steve, awhile back and he had room 9 waiting for us in all it's glory. The room consisted of 2 huge flat screen tvs, some comfortable couches, microphones, and even a few tambourines. Oh, and I can't forget the pretty awesome remote control that was so big you needed to hold it with 2 hands. Being the technotard I am I stayed away from the remote control, but fortunately we had a few tech savvy girls with us to plug in the tunes. 2 bottles of champagne and a round of kamikazi shots later we were belting out Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie, and other favorites. This much fun usually has a price tag on it, but I found Lincoln Karaoke to be pretty reasonable. Our large room was $40/hr (it's less expensive for smaller rooms). They have a fully stocked bar and even food to order, but I ordered in pizzas from Art of Pizza for our rowdy group of girls. We had so much fun that I'm racking my mind for other occasions to go back to Lincoln Karaoke! Who's in?

Jessica M.

Yelp
Lincoln Karaoke appears puny and shabby from judging its storefront. In reality, there are at least 15 individual, private rooms for people to sing their lungs out. Our group had eight people on this one Saturday night and we were able to secure a room for two hours without a reservation. The room was small but it came with not one, but three flat screen television sets. Essentially, everybody in the room can be staring at a different wall and singing the same song. As for the not-so-vocal people such as myself, I had a fun time listening to people sing as I shook away with those light-up tambourines. Word of caution to Disney lovers is that the song "Part of Your World" somehow always freezes the karaoke system. There is nothing the staff members can do about it other than restarting the system. They also offer snacks and drinks. We had a snack platter with fries, hushpuppies, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks. To go with that, we also had two bottles of soju, yogurt and mango. Minus the food and drinks, our bill for the room came to a mere $80. Not bad at all.

Jordan L.

Yelp
Love Lincoln Karaoke! Excellent atmosphere, staff, drink selection, bar food, and karaoke! Would Highly recommend trying this place with a group of friends on weekends. Definitely reserve a room in advance

Elena S.

Yelp
The worst experience I've ever had. It was our first time here, we were celebrating a birthday. In the middle of our party they told us we have to leave because they have another people coming without any previous notice. At the time of reservation they just asked how many people we have and credit card number and didn't tell us there is a time limit. The manager was extremely rude, he was yelling at us and totally ruined the party. Poor customer service, even though everything else was ok. We will never come back here again!

Kayla M.

Yelp
My husband & I threw a birthday get-together last night, and we are very happy we chose Lincoln Karaoke!! Calling & making a reservation with Ethan was easy, and every question we had was answered professionally. We were a little concerned because of the policy that each guest had to spend $15 minimum (we didn't want to get hit with any extra charges in case someone's tab wasn't in conjunction with our room/party), but the whole process was handled flawlessly & there were literally zero hiccups. The only thing on the downside was that I wish there was an updated list of current songs or more songs in general (in English). Also, we had a party of 25-30, and the room we were given (which was for 30 max) was very cramped and filled, a lot of people had to stand or lean on something. We had a great time regardless, and Ethan & the rest of the staff treated us like VIP! Thank you! We will be back!

Stephaughn P.

Yelp
I've been down with this place since 2014! Shouts out to Ethan ( my Asian brother from another mother) and Pops. We have built a awesome relationship with each other. Everytime I come, I get treated with the VIP treatment. Ethan always takes care of my people that I bring or refer him to. This will be my forever spot to sing karaoke and have the THEE BEST TIME EVER !!

Evie H.

Yelp
So I actually want to give Lincoln Karaoke 2 stars but given that it's probably the best karaoke location in Chicago, 3 is not a bad idea. I come from an (Asian - of course) country that takes karaoke super seriously and by that I mean nice leather seats, great sound proof walls, a buffet outside though you can still individually order items inside as well, non-cement floors, high-quality mics, a super updated computer song selection system, REAL MUSIC VIDEOS, and a 5 star hotel-like entrance. Sooooo when I walked into Lincoln Karaoke my first time (after reading all these great reviews) my face completely fell. My first reaction was you've GOT to be kidding me....where am I, what is this grimy looking place, why does it look so shady!!!! I was not the least bit impressed. Though after awhile I got used to it and because my friends are the loud and festive type of people you need to have when you karaoke, it turned out to be alright and quite fun despite the initial first impression....and thus, I have come more than once since. I recommend making a reservation just to speed things along, especially when the weather is cold outside. Also be prepared to watch ridiculous music videos that are not the least bit related to the song, especially the English songs. This is a huge pet peeve of mine actually so siiiiiiiigh. Who am I to compare Chicago to awesome Asian karaoke anyway?

Farrah A.

Yelp
I don't know which I prefer: a neon-light lit karaoke bar with a main stage and flashy bar ... or a more intimate joint complete with private rooms with the feel of an Asian spa. I'll take the latter. It was, oh, *late* on a Tuesday night when Kevin N, Sarah P, Kathleen M, Tiffany C and Nikki C and I *stumbled* into Lincoln Karaoke. I'm not exaggerating when I say I was a bit concerned. We walked up to an office area, paid for a room and walked in ... but what did we find once we opened the door? It looked like a living room: couches, coffee table, flat screen TV and sound system. Of course, there was a microphone and flashing lights tambourines--not your typical living room accents. I sat on the couch with my "Oh, I'm just going to watch" face ... but after a few more brews, I was snatching tambourines and the mic, busting out with the best of my B Spears and Madonna moves. Was I awful! You know, the shower is pretty misleading ... I never thought I was that bad. I actually took a look at my mic thinking that something was off with the mechanics. Nope, that's just your awful singing, Fairy. So, here's when it got *really* good... Tiff C and I were looking to make a run for it, or so I remember, when we stumbled into another party's room. As soon as they saw the embarrassment on our faces, two seconds later, these folks handed over pineapple and rum bevs. Now that's what I call Midwest hospitality! We ended up doing the Soul Train line and sang songs like "Candy Shop." Tiff C certainly got down and was droppin' it like it's hot. Who knew hipsters were so bootylicious?

Kat C.

Yelp
Me: "So, is Lincoln Square a place where people hang out?" Friend: "No...no one really comes out here." UHM, but WHY NOT??? Lincoln Square has two things that can turn an ordinary night into an epic celebration that you will (but probably won't) remember: Dancen and Lincoln Karaoke. We called and reserved a small room for 6 at 11pm on a Saturday night. After a few drinks and schmoozing, we were upgraded to a bigger room where we could stretch our legs and have an even more ratchet dance party. Wireless mics and a freaking stocked bar...best karaoke lounge ever. There's an epic story about the wireless mics but...I can't share it publicly because... what happens in a private Lincoln Karaoke room stays there. 5 hours, several bottles of soju, 7 rumchatas, and a jack and diet later, we were smizzled and finally out of songs. The bill? I'd rather not say...but comparable to Jaguar in Oakland.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Lincoln Karaoke! I have been here countless times now, but I can still remember that first magical night spent at Lincoln Karaoke! Is this place in a random storefront, across from a seedy motel? YES. Does this place REALLY have light up tambourines?! YES!!!!!!! EEK! Is the owner, Steve, customer service oriented? YES. Do you walk in and feel like you are completely out of your element, as you take note of the long hallway with closed doors with laughing and singing flowing throughout? YES! Can words really do justice in explaining all that Lincoln Karaoke is?! NO WAY!!! This place is hands down amazing...and words cannot begin to describe the hilarity, fun, and memories that you are sure to encounter if you venture there. I have trusted Lincoln Karaoke as the locale for my going away party, my welcome home party, and my birthday party. (Not to mention the times I've gone to Lincoln Karaoke for just a random night out!) Each time I have gone, the owner, Steve, has remembered me. He is truly an awesome guy! He makes sure that you and your group are completely satisfied with the room you have and drinks you get. I love that he also throws in a complimentary bottle of champagne for birthdays or special occasions. I had moved out of state and hadn't been to Lincoln Karaoke for over a year...and was just back there November 13, 2010 for my birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised with the expansion of using the big back bar instead of just using the small front bar. They also seem to have a couple extra bartenders/staff on hand to handle the crowd and get people served so that they can get back to their jam sessions. Here are the overall highlights/tips: -Call in advance to make your reservation. You can try your luck with going in the night of, but do be prepared to wait. I always call a couple days in advance and have never had an issue with my room not being ready at the scheduled time as promised. -SHAKE THE TAMBOURINES! I love the tambourines! It's a great way for those shy people, who won't sing, to get involved. And it is equally great for us spotlight seekers to accompany our lovely singing talents ;) -Do NOT BYOB. To be completely honest, I had never even tried this, yet alone thought to BYOB. Apparently a lot of people had started to sneak stuff in. This last time I was there I couldn't help but notice the signs all over stating that you are NOT ALLOWED TO BYOB. There are some fines associated with getting caught doing so...so, just don't do it. -Tip your bartenders! The bartenders are great! This is not some fancy place where you go for the quality of the drinks. Don't expect them to be able to make you shots and drinks with all the frills. They will definitely do their best to cater to your wants...but don't get bent out of shape if they mess it up. I mean really, why can't people just order a beer or a solid vodka tonic? -Make a point to talk to Steve. He really likes talking with the customers and hearing what events you are celebrating. If he likes you enough, he may even give you a round of shots on the house ;) -The room prices are divided into three categories (I believe it's three anyhow). Be honest with how many people you have in your group, because you don't want to get a small room and not have enough space....and at the same time, you wouldn't want to have 5 people in the biggest room (you'd likely feel pretty lame in a big room with no one in there!). The price difference amongst the different sized rooms is really minimal--it's like a $5 difference... **I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend trying out Lincoln Karaoke. I promise that you will not be disappointed. AND, if you do have a problem with something, I recommend that you talk with Steve about it...and chances are that he will work with you to fix the situation.

Oyundari B.

Yelp
What a service. The karaoke box was not working and i said it to the employee. And he said it was fine just a second ago like we did something wrong. He was super rude and screamed at me if you wanna leave you can leave if it is problem he will call police. How that place can have 4.5 reviews when that manager was working there all the time. Or is he super racist? He complained i was disrespectful for him. You don't feel like a customer when you are here. You will end up begging him. Not worth it at all. The equipments are all need some adjustments for that price. The microphone made terrible sound while we were singing. But you know what i was afraid to tell him to fix it. I won't come here again. And you shouldn't

Yelp
Fell in love with this place last summer at my girlfriend's birthday party. Naturally, I immediately booked a room five months in advance for New Year's Eve. Everything you read about this place in other reviews is true--depending on your disposition, you will view these things as positive or negative. The folks who run it are friendly as hell, and not stingy with the complimentary shots, especially if you happen to run into a minor snag or two (static problems in the sound system, slow check-in). Much appreciated old-school customer service, and I'll just pony up and say that it certainly DID influence me to not only write a glowing review, but to recommend it to everyone I know. Not to mention plan another party! My one quibble is that I wish their song choice was more extensive. However, unless you're one of those people who takes karaoke seriously (i.e. as practice for your American Idol audition), you'll be able to find more than enough songs to keep everyone doubled over with laughter for at least three or four hours. Oh, and for some reason, the "new" room we got at NYE didn't feature the now-legendary "HAVE A GOOD TIME!" message flashing across the screen repeatedly. Bummer, because that was one of the funniest and best features. Bring it back, yo!

Anna M.

Yelp
We're starting a new tradition between friends. From now on all friends birthday parties will be celebrated at Lincoln Karaoke!! The vibe the service and the whole excitement of belting out your favorite tunes with friends has turned us into true fans of this place. Each private room is spacious, clean and has club lights ready to get the party started. The employees are very welcoming and friendly. They accommodate all party sizes and are open very late. Great bottle and drink specials especially the different flavored soju. Yogurt Soju is my favorite. Room prices are very reasonable. We were recently there with a party of 20+ for about 3 hours and the bill came out to be $120! Of course drinks not included! :P Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a birthday gathering - Lincoln Karaoke is located off of Lincoln Avenue and is regarded as a pretty popular spot to sing your heart out if you're into karaoke-ing. They are opened late, Sundays-Fridays, until 2AM, and Saturdays until 3AM. They have an hourly rate based on your group size - for example, they base your size on the number of people you have - a Small is up to 6 people, a Medium is between 7-15, and a large is 16 or more; it is $30, $35, or $40/hour, respectively, and increases to $40 and $50/hour for the Medium and Large groups on Saturdays, which is usually the most popular night. They have several rooms with strobe lights to get you in that karaoke mood, has a bar, as well as a menu where you can order appetizers, party platters, and Asian entrees (like dumplings and ramen noodles). The place is strictly 21+. I thought they had a decent selection of songs, and there was no lagging of the words and such. Definitely gets packed on the weekends, but everyone seemed to be having a great time. Parking can be found around the area. +old-school, popular karaoke place

Melissa R.

Yelp
Oh what an experience. There was so much singing, love, messiness, tomfoolery, drinking, dancing, and random Japanese television (including porn). I went here for my best friend's birthday this past weekend and it was quite the event. We had a room reserved for 9 p.m.-12 a.m., but somehow ended up staying there until 2 a.m. There was nothing more that she wanted then to get all her friends together and sing her little heart out...and I encourage making birthday wishes a reality. The room was large (about 20 people were there), had four microphones, lots of shots, light-up tambourines, comfy sofas, "clubbin' lights", and the list of song options was fantastic. My favorites included: Against All Odds by Phil Collins, Be With You by Mr. Big, and Kiss by Prince. Although this is far away from just about everything (one of my friends asked if we were in Skokie), it's well worth the trip...I promise.

Yelp
Viewing Lincoln Karaoke from the outside isn't half as inviting as viewing it from behind a beer inside one of its well sized karaoke rock rooms. I have to admit I was thrown off guard while walking in because you feel like you're walking into a korean opium den, but this place exudes awesomeness as soon as you get your bearings. With a wide variety of songs, the selection still leaves out some of the greats, but there's no doubt there are hours and hours of karaoke that will allow you to sing your heart out. Drink prices are totally reasonable and rooms are pay by the hour (we planned on 9PM-12AM and stayed until 2AM). Honestly, as soon as we walked in with our group of fifteen or so everyone had ear to ear smiles. Might want to call in advance for reservations. We called the day of and got a large room (they have different sizes for different sizes of groups). Just do it.

Yelp
Alcohol alcohol! Our male bartender hooked us up with the drinks! They were extremely strong. (3 shots in one drink) Of course we hooked him up with a great tip. The room reserved was appropriate for the number of people in the room. Remember to get the remote that has the English directions because for most of the night, we used the remote with the Korean inscriptions. Remember to go to the bar! LOL. It will make the karaoke experience quite memorable. With laser lights everywhere, the television screens on each wall, and your good friends around you, it is truly a fun experience.

Yelp
First off, Karaoke is NOT LAME. What can you do with ten friends on a Thursday night that requires downing shots and making loud noises WITHOUT getting arrested? When you enter the room, you'll find folders with song lists. Most of the folders contain Korean or Asian songs. The white folders normally contain English songs. There is a single remote available to enter songs to play. The remote is completely in Korean, but it isn't hard to figure out. You'll only need to use the numeric pad, "enter", and "cancel" buttons. The remote signal lags, so punching the song number on the system below the TV is way easier. Once the song and video starts playing, a rotating light ball will come on turn on and flash with the music. You might want to avoid coming to Lincoln Karaoke altogether if you suffer from epilepsy. For more special effects, there are lighted tambourines to play along with the music. Mind you, the song selection is rather poor, but they will have your favorites: Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses, et cetera. They really should update their song list. The walls aren't sound-proof so you can hear neighbors, but you'll be too busy singing to notice. The food is very pricey, but the drink prices are average. What do you expect? (I got a free bottle of champagne for my birthday party. Sweet.) If you and your friends are too drunk to walk to public transportation, just flag a taxi down on Lincoln Avenue. "HAVE A GOOD TIME" (Inside joke. Not really. You'll find out.)

Yelp
Okay this place has been a staple for multiple friend groups for years. This is possibly the best room karaoke in Chicago. The staff had always been great and accommodating of our large groups. We nearly always rent the large room and the price is super affordable. We once booked the room until midnight, but we were having such a good time we asked if we could add on an extra hour and they let us extend it. The place is well cared for, especially considering with how long they have been around, and you assume they might let things slip. The rooms are always clean and the equipment always works. You just have to make sure that you return the mics to the charging stations every so often or you won't have any working mics! I recommend grabbing a pitcher of flavored soju for an easy alcoholic drink that everyone in your party gets into. They have strawberry, grape, lychee, etc flavors. I recommend it but BE CAREFUL. We have been ruined because of these pitchers so drink in moderation unless you want to have a ride home with many pitstops on the side of the road. If your crowd swings +18 you can change the channel to a literal boob tube. It was possibly my favorite channel until they switched it from being naked women dribbling milk and honey over their bodies to just naked women sitting around, so I guess it's pretty boring now. There was an animated boy band channel that is quite amusing to watch. At least it's more interesting than the boob tube.

Yelp
The manager knowingly put us in a room with malfunctioning TV screens and microphones. When we asked why we were put in this room, he simply said it was "out of his control" that these weren't working properly and complained to us that we were being rude. Is it not the responsibility of the business to provide at minimum functioning equipments for the experience that we pay for? With the high hourly charges PLUS minimum spend on drinks, this karaoke is not worth the money. I am not surprised that this place was half empty when I went on a Saturday evening. Don't waste your money here. Go somewhere where you'll get your money's worth and actually get treated like a customer. I will never go to this karaoke again.

Yelp
Wow. I had my birthday party here earlier this month and I could not have had a better time. My friends and I are frequent patrons at the Korean Karaoke Restaurant on California, so we had high hopes for Lincoln Karaoke. Let me just say, this places blows away the Karaoke Restaurant! Flat Screen TVs, wireless microphones, decent air circulation, a full bar, moderately priced drinks, and maybe the best owner of any establishment I have ever came across. He gave us a free bottle of champaign and numerous other free drinks. He was the coolest dude ever. The only downside is they don't have as many songs as other Karaoke places in Chicago but I was told they were getting more.

Yelp
Wow. If you want to have a party that NO ONE will ever forget - book a room at this joint. I threw my 'dirty 30' birthday party here and it was a blast. I reserved a large room that was supposed to hold 26-30 people, but it was kind of tight. However once the booze started flowing, no one really cared. A couple things to note: Only about 10% of the song books are written in English so it's a bit hard to find songs at first. However I asked the manager (Steve) to borrow the book a few days in advance and made photo copies of the English pages for easy access come party time. They have a good variety of tunes - up through 2009 songs. They let you bring in your own food which is a MAJOR score. The bartenders are VERY generous. After having a party here, the quote of the next several months (at the least) will be 'Have a Good Time!'. PPS - I booked this place based on suggestions from other Yelpers and boy was it the right choice!

Yelp
Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. It's definitely a fun karaoke place with an extensive and pretty up to date song selection. Ethan, the bartender, was really nice and made some great tasting drinks and shots for our party, helping make our night even more epic (tip: ask him to make something off the menu for you and you won't be disappointed). Service was excellent and the owners were nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean and very well kept. Each room came with 4 microphones, so more people were able to belt it out to classic karaoke songs like Hey Ya, Barbie Girl, any boyband song, etc. Lincoln Karaoke is on par with some of the best karaoke bars out there (think K-Town in SoCal). We definitely sang our hearts out and had the club going up on a Tuesday. This is my new go-to spot for karaoke!

Yelp
Disappointing. Not a thorough catalogue of songs - missing way too many famous classics. Attracts amateurs that cannot handle their liquor. Saturday nights seem to be filled with suburban bachelorettes puking in the bathroom. The owners are great. And service was not bad. But the atmosphere & song list was very disappointing. Won't be going back.

Yelp
We always have a good time when we visit Lincoln Karaoke! Below are some highlights. The good: - Private karaoke rooms. Belt your heart out and forget about feeling embarrassed in front of strangers. - Good selection of songs. - Full bar. - Overall, it's such a fun experience. Full control over the songs played, and privacy. The bad: - The rooms could use better ventilation and can get pretty warm. - Occasionally the mics go dead mid-session, which makes it tough to sing! - Bathrooms are small and not always clean.

Yelp
It is too cold here. Went tonight with some friends and the AC was simply too cold. It was unpleasant. Offer blankets if you intend to keep it at 62 F. Also, the "celebrity" pictures through out are hilarious. They are definitely trying to be cooler than cool ("Ice cold").

Yelp
Terrible! Most songs did not load. We asked for assistants and manager was a jerk. Don't go! Ain't nobody got time for that.

Yelp
Had my first experience with Lincoln Karaoke last Thursday, everything previously said about this place has been acurate. It's layout feels like a tanning salon, but once you get the easy to use karaoke machines going the fun lasts as long as you do. The selection of English songs is a bit limited, but adequate for 3-4+ hours of fun... (a good selection of old and new songs, lots of Radiohead, Nirvana, Beatles, even some MUSE! for those willing to take the falsetto challenge...) The private room atmosphere is definitely a plus, Thursdays seem like a good time to hit this place as it was not busy when our party was there. The staff and owner were friendly and offered us a round of shots at the end of the night, delicious. Had about 12 people there and everyone had a good time, the more the merrier at this place for sure... This place is highly recommended for any karaoke excursion where you want the chance to sing and enjoy the company of your selected group of friends. You can make reservations, just leave a message with your name, phone number, number of people in party, and preferred date/time and Steve will call you back to confirm. I will definitely be back for more.... Thanks to Steve for a good time had by all!

Yelp
This place is too fun if you have a large group willing to get their drink and sing on. On the drinking side, they have a number of beers on tap and several unique bottles, but the way to go is the differently flavored soju. For songs, they have a huge selection with tons of old favorites and they are constantly updated with newer hits. The staff here is really cool, too. First of all, they're fine with bringing in outside food, which is nice especially considering the Hub's next door. They're also very willing to entertain anyone who wishes to just chill at the bar. And even though one of our birthday celebrants was sloppily drunk, they went the cool route and just served up the water instead of throwing him out - much appreciated. My only legit gripe (it being far north as hell doesn't count, I guess) is that some songs would just suddenly end in the middle, my guess from overuse. Is it too much to ask to sing "Don't Stop Believing"? Erm...maybe.

Yelp
Awful customer service ruined it for me. Place was okay, but staff was extremely rude to me and my group, though we were the only ones in the place that night. You'd think they might treat paying customers with a bit of respect, but no. Impatient in answering a question about the machine, and treated us like they were doing us a huge favor by taking our money. Never again!

Yelp
Came here last Saturday night with Michelle Y and had an absolute BLAST. This is in my opinion the best Karaoke place I've been to in Chicago. The Staff is super friendly, the best customer experience I've had in awhile. Props you guys! You get your own private karaoke room which is a blast; the rooms are clean, spacious, & the couches are comfortable. They even bring snacks! I was munching on goldfish & sipping on my beer. What more could you ask for!? I was also very impressed with the song list, if you're in the mood to sing some embarrassing 90s pop, or honestly any other genre you have an ARRAY of songs to choose from. I'm not the best singer in the world, but you just feel comfortable here to have a great time. No judgment. Hopefully I'll become a regular soon! I love this place.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. We called and reserved a spot and the owner would not let us in. He was being extremely rude and not accommodating. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
