The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Santa Cruz, California | Eater SF

"The Seabreeze Cafe, also known as Linda’s Seabreeze Cafe, is the kind of business with constantly rotating specials written in multiple colored markers on a whiteboard. It’s cash or check only, and dishes range from classics like Denver omelettes and blueberry pancakes to rarer items like a Tex-Mex breakfast and orange poppyseed pancakes." - Paolo Bicchieri

When I Need a Break from Family Craziness, I Go to Linda’s Seabreeze Cafe | Bon Appétit

"An unassuming, breakfast-and-lunch-only diner known for familiar, comforting plates: egg specials come with a pile of greasy, crispy home fries and every plate is garnished with an orange slice and parsley. Popular staples include two fried eggs with toast and a tuna salad sandwich (often served with an orange wedge), and meals are typically accompanied by a Diet Coke and an overly generous side of potatoes. There’s often a wait—mitigated by a coffee pot, mugs and benches outside—and the small dining room (about 14 tables) is carpeted wall-to-wall, which softens the sound as locals order “the usual” and day-trippers fuel up for the beach. Little lived-in details, from worrying that the previous diner might have double-dipped the jam spoon to the overall calming, familiar vibe, make it a reliable refuge for a peaceful, homey meal." - ByElaheh Nozari

Simple, quaint, stellar Santa Cruz establishment. For the breakfast lovers, this spot is for you. For the ones that prefer lunch instead, just come after 11am and you’re good. MASSIVE portions, great food and flavor. Can’t say enough good things. Get there early I f you want to make sure you can snag one of the many specials - they’re fantastic, and popular! So they go quickly on a Saturday morning. Highly recommend the Combo Pancake platter (comes with two pancakes, bacon, and a plate of eggs), any of their omelettes, and the tuna melt is great. I got the side salad with the sandwich which was a meal in itself. Come hungry! Important notes - Cash only (they have an ATM), so don’t come slinging a credit card or Apple Pay. They also don’t take reservations, but the tables turnover quickly and they have both inside and outside seating (which is heated!).

Friendly, inviting atmosphere, service was excellent, very delicious burger, turkey sandwich, and omlette. Very busy for a Monday morning. I noticed everyone had the cinnamon roll on their table so we also tried it and it was sooo good. It is cash or check only so be prepared before you arrive.

Had a little stop in on our road trip around California. Such a welcoming cafe with fantastic service and beautiful atmosphere! Food was absolutely delicious and was quickly devoured. Huge shout out to Lisa Thank you so much for making our day! Big love from Australia ❤️

Got the curried tofu scramble and I thought it was good. I prefer crumbled tofu in my scramble, this was cubed so the flavors didn’t infuse as well. Other than that I thought the seasoning was quite good. The potatoes were very good and crispy. My friend ordered the buttermilk pancakes and she loved hers. I tried some of her chai as well and that was wonderful. I’ll have to order it next time.

One of the best breakfasts out I've had in a long time! I ordered one of the specials—two eggs with chicken apple sausage, home fries, and a muffin—and everything was delicious. The portions were super generous, the home fries were perfectly crispy without being greasy, and the service was warm and attentive. I left full, happy, and already thinking about my next visit. Bonus: it’s just a short, beautiful 15-minute walk to the Walton Lighthouse afterward, which made for the perfect morning. Highly recommend stopping here!

Google
Pleasant and quaint eatery. I chose to eat outside on a lovely day, the heat lamps kept everything pretty nice at the table. I had the Ortega Chile burger and added bacon. Everything was well cooked and put together. Would recommend as a nice stop in before/after beach/aquarium trips

Fantastic cinnamon roll! The restaurant is quaint, so I wouldn't come with a large group. May be a small wait because of the popularity and size of the dining room, but it goes by quick. Very good food, great service. Worth going to! Classic diner, no frills or gimmicks. Just good breakfast.

Came here with my family during a trip to Santa Cruz looking for a cozy breakfast/brunch spot before exploring the beaches and parks. Thai place did not disappoint! They have a great menu with various options, great portions, the food is cooked well and tastes great. I ordered the “lil’ smokies sausage scramble” and got the cinnamon roll as my side. Both were delicious definitely recommend the cinnamon roll with a nice cup of hot coffee! The restaurant is cozy, welcoming, and feels exactly like the kind of cafe you’d expect in Santa Cruz by the beach. They had outdoor seating as well but we sat inside. It was busy when we came but we got sat quickly. The staff were nice and attentive, added to the experience. The cafe has a sense of community where I’m sure they get a lot of regulars but are welcoming to visitors. Would come again if in the area!

Yelp
Linda's Seabreeze Café is hands-down one of my all-time favorite breakfast spots. I've been coming here for years, and each visit reminds me why I keep coming back. Their menu is packed with delicious, well-prepared dishes, and on top of that, they always seem to have some sort of mouthwatering daily special. I can never resist trying something new! If you go, do yourself a favor and start with their famous cinnamon roll--it's a must. Even if you're too full to eat it right away, grab one to go. Trust me, you'll be thanking yourself later. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel right at home, and the service is consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a quiet morning alone, or bringing family in from out of town, Linda's Seabreeze Café sets the perfect tone for a wonderful breakfast experience. Five stars, every time.

Yelp
Linda's Seabreeze Cafe is a great local spot in Santa Cruz! Cash only, but they do have an ATM inside if you forgot to get some before heading over. No reservations but when you arrive you can put your name on the paper mist and preference for inside vs. patio seating. Plenty of parking on the street and a parking lot in the back. Loved how accessible it was! We really enjoyed their specials and ordered the chicken apple sausage and eggs and the Cajun scramble. One of the best things is being able to order a cinnamon roll instead of toast! Love the homemade cinnamon rolls and just how buttery and flavorful they are. Truly a great little spot with tasty food! Also, try their house hot sauce. Tasty!

Yelp
Portions really are huge. Took my sister's family out to brunch and the wait wasn't bad for Sun at 1130. Maybe 20m. All the food we got is pretty solid. I had the blueberry pancakes. They weren't the best pancakes I've ever had but solid. Everybody else loved the food. Service is really excellent, my coffee cup never stayed empty and the coffee here is really quite good. I drink it straight also.

Yelp
The 4.5 yelp star average for over 1.4k reviews don't lie! Linda's has been on my radar since I've been a UCSC alumni and I finally made it here for a birthday brunch with my hubz and baby boy many years post-grad. From the start the service was 5 stars! We were offered a spacious corner round table that accommodated our little family, a variety of tasty menu options and specials (even vegan ones), and I got a complimentary birthday cinnamon roll, which was one of the best I've had and it didn't even have frosting! It had all the warm, cinnamon-y, buttery yumminess that I crave. The corned beef hash and eggs were amazing and they even had a tasty vegan option (tofu curry scramble and potatoes) with the stamp of approval from hubz. Our server even brought out house-made hot sauce, a nice touch. Ambiance is like you're in a cozy open home and they have ample patio seating. I wish they were closer to me - I'd be there every day! I still regret not taking some cinnamon rolls home with me.

Yelp
The restaurant has a new owner, but it is still the GOAT. I was at Linda's in August 2024 and enjoyed a breakfast of corned beef hash and eggs with a cinnamon roll on the side. It was delicious. Service is still excellent and we love the ambiance. If there is a line, there is a good reason! Best breakfast in Santa Cruz.

Yelp
Lovely local spot. ~15 minute wait for 4 at 1:10pm. We were one of the last tables sat for lunch/brunch. $68.21 total before tips for 3 entrees, pancakes, a side of fries, and two additional cinnamon rolls to go. Super affordable. The staff is super friendly! They all just have a genuinely warm vibe. Very family-friendly. Our kids were immediately crayons and a kid's menu to color on. Pro-tip: You can get half fruit, half home fries for your side! * Corned Beef Hash + Eggs (Special, $16.95) - 4 stars Greasy, salty, tasty, and really hit the spot. Had a great crisp to it. * Greek Scramble ($16.50) - 4 stars Eggs were a great texture, soft and moist. Homefries were great, lots of flavor and crisp. Fruits were generic. * Buttermilk pancakes (three for $10.50) - 3.5 stars Good, moist and soft. Kids enjoyed it. * Side of fries - 4 stars These look bland and generic, but they were surprisingly good, with a nice fresh crisp, soft on the inside. Plus you get a giant plate. * Cinnamon roll ($4.50) - 4.5 stars Honestly they could charge twice as much for this and get away with it. I didn't know cinnamon rolls could taste this great! Moist, soft, and lovely rich flavor. * Pumpkin muffin ($4.50) - 3.5 stars Decent muffin, a tad on the dry side (I personally just like softer muffins). Not a super strong pumpkin flavor.

Yelp
This is a quaint breakfast/lunch place in Santa Cruz. We came there on a Saturday around noon and there's quite a line. There's a clip board outside where you add yourself to the wait list. We were hesitant at first, but decided why not. Even though there were about 11 or 12 parties ahead of us, we were seated in about 30 minutes. They only take cash, so hubby and I had to do the math to see if we could order coffee with the cash we had on hand. (Note, they have an ATM machine inside too.) I'm glad we decided to wait because the food and service was wonderful. They have a board that they bring around to each table with the daily specials. There's lots to choose from, but we went pretty basic. Everything we had was delicious, but the cinnamon roll was the best. What we ordered: + Popeye (spinach & mushroom) omelette - egg was fluffy and they give you lots of spinach and mushrooms. Comes with fried potatoes (yum) and choice of cinnamon roll or toast or muffin. (Pssst, get the cinnamon roll.) + Waffle combo - they make the waffles with the little squares, which is hubby's favorite. You 2 eggs cooked to order and bacon. Overall, a great choice for breakfast. They could be more efficient if they update their technology a bit. Everything's hand-written and cash only.

Yelp
Stopped by, and we enjoyed our stop here! Note that they only take cash or check. After writing my name on the waitlist, the wait was only 15 min on a weekend morning. Some highlights: -service was great -the place was cozy and full of families -food came out fresh and in generous portions -prices were decent -they have a lot of appetizing choices on their menus as well as specials -they have both indoor and outdoor dining (with heaters outside) Some small things: -the cinnamon roll that came with our omelette could have been more moist -The Castroville Omelette as well as Denver Omelette were very basic in flavor (they came with all the ingredients listed and in generous amounts, but there wasn't anything particularly outstanding about the seasoning or flavors)

Yelp
Great service and great experience ! Pretty classic diner-y breakfast joint. We had a group of 12 and they were super accommodating. We came on a Friday and were anticipating a wait based on reviews but actually got seated right away. We sat outside on the picnic tables. The tables were a little squishy but we made it work. The cinnamon roll was next level! Love that they don't put any icing on it and it was just the right sweetness. Honestly will be dreaming about it. Coffee cups were kept full and same with water. Loved that they had tofu as an option. I got the Tex mex special with tofu but I think would have been better with eggs. Their home made salsa was also really good. Fyi only cash or check!

Yelp
Cute little breakfast nook. Worth the wait. Both indoor and outdoor seating. The coffee is rich and delicious. Cash only signs are everywhere--so you can't miss it. If you are so distracted by how delicious everything is, and miss the cash only signs, there is an ATM inside.

Yelp
New brunch spot = unlocked!!!! Soooooooo yummy!!! Very close to the beach and the staff were so friendly!! Like probably the friendliest staff and I've dined at Michelin starred places before. Portions were huge and the price was super reasonable. I particularly liked that they had vegan options for my boyfriend. I got the huevos rancheros with a cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll was to die for and the huevos rancheros was so good. The fresh orange juice was a bit tart so probably wouldn't get that again but everything else was unreal!

Yelp
Wow what a lovely little cafe. We were in Santa Cruz for an appointment and after we were starving so my mama and I hit up yelp to see what was good close by... Linda's seabreeze cafe popped up in close proximity and as a local favorite. We were pleasantly surprised how welcoming and friendly the staff were, we wished we knew they were THE breakfast spot in SC but it was ok gave us a reason to come back. We couldn't decide which one to order so we got a patty melt and tuna melt and split it. The albacore in the tuna melt was absolutely phenomenal. My mom, and I both said it was the best one we have ever had. The patty melt was good needed a little more mayo or sauce but was really good. Our server ( I wish I remembered her name) was working this past Tuesday- she had brown hair in a pony and was so sweet! The vibe was so amazing here. Absolutely love the pet friendly patio, even the pups were happy here. Everything was great and the people were nice. Definitely want to come back for breakfast sometime soon. Great job Linda we love it and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Best cinnamon rolls in my entire life!! This is such a quaint little cafe in Santa Cruz. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning when we went but they got us in relatively quick (about 20 min wait) despite it looking like it'd be longer. The staff were super friendly and brought crayons and coloring pages for the kids. They do have outdoor seating and dogs are allowed. Loved that! Everyone enjoyed their meal and portion sizes were pretty big. But the cinnamon rolls really stole the show. CanNOT wait to return.

Yelp
We decided to try a new breakfast place and had heard a lot about the is restaurant. And for good reason. When we first pulled in we were met with a small line of people waiting to be seated. Apparently there is always a line to be seated here because it is such a popular place, but the line moves quickly and the waitresses are very kind. When we got seated, we were immediately shown the specials, and handed a menu. Across the board, there is a wide range of food choices to choose from. They have plenty of vegan options in addition to regular breakfast options. No matter what you choose, it is sure to be delicious. I ordered the Tofu curry and a side cinnamon roll which this place is apparently FAMOUS for. First and foremost, you can tell the cinnamon roll has been a tried and true recipe for years. It tastes very homemade and is absolutely delicious in every way. Not too dense like most cinnamon rolls. I definitely recommend ordering if you come here. The tofu scramble was also really yummy.Important to note, some youngsters might have a harder time with the menu but they do have pancake and waffle options that they are sure to enjoy. This cafe has very unique breakfast options that are definitely different but delicious. And the portion sizes are really decent. We were able to take some leftovers home to have tomorrow. The vibe of the place is also very local and homey. People here (both workers and dinners) are very happy, friendly and helpful. There is also some local artist work on the walls available for purchase. Highly recommended coming here either by yourself or with some friends. The vibe is great, food is yummy, and service is excellent. But be sure to bring cash or check, as they don't accept card or applepay.

Yelp
Yum Yum Nice little breaky cafe with great staff and big portions, tasty specials. Def recommend if you are in the area and hungry.

Yelp
Of all the best breakfast places that I have ever eaten, Linda's Seabreeze Cafe tops them all. We had the Greek Scramble with tofu and perfectly roasted and flavored red potatoes topped off with a heavenly cinnamon roll that had lots of cinnamon and walnuts - to die for. We also had a specialty waffle that was loaded with lots of fruit - kiwi, strawberries, bananas and blueberries with yogurt. This was more food than we would usually eat but we couldn't leave even a crumb.
google avatar

Catherine A.

Yelp
absolutely delightful. In a bit of a rush, we took our food to go. Got the Greek omelette? scramble? But really came for the cinnamon rolls. They lived up to the hype! And I love the fact that they were an optional side to come with your breakfast. We got four. No crumbs were left

Yelp
Linda's Seabreeze Cafe is a mom & papa's restaurant. My wife and I love this place, the food is delicious and cooked to perfection and you have to try the cinnamon roll muffin and eat it while it's warm it's divine. The restaurant is so busy all the time, when you get to the front door there's a table with a clipboard to write your name and your party size. There's always a line so plan on waiting it's worth it. You have the choice to sit inside or outside and the service is always excellent they bring out this large handwritten clipboard with all of the specials of day with a menu to choose from I always try something different so I don't have a favorite besides the muffin and lastly bring cash.

Yelp
I had a delightful brunch experience at Linda's Seabreeze Café in Santa Cruz yesterday morning. Arriving on a busy Saturday, we faced a bit of a wait with a 45-minute queue for our group of five, but it was well worth it. The service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive and incredibly friendly, making sure our coffee and water were always topped up. Their genuine hospitality made the wait more bearable and set a positive tone for our meal. When it came to the food, we were impressed. The almond waffles, made with wheat flour and sprinkled with sliced almonds, were a standout. They were not only delicious but also satisfyingly filling. We also tried the garden burger with cheese, which was another highlight. It came with a side of crunchy, perfectly seasoned fries. Every bite of our meal was fresh and full of flavor, reflecting the café's commitment to quality ingredients. The ambiance of Linda's Seabreeze Café adds to its charm. It feels like stepping into your grandma's kitchen, complete with cozy, homey vibes. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing you to enjoy the quaint, welcoming atmosphere no matter where you sit. Pricing was reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the overall experience. For anyone looking for a charming brunch spot in Santa Cruz with great food and excellent service, Linda's Seabreeze Café is a must-visit!

Yelp
This is a lovely breakfast place in Capitola. We drive over from San Jose at 7:00am and arrive in time for breakfast without long queues. And the drive over is leisurely and fun, no speeding maniacs at that time of the day. Bring a jacket, it can be cold if you have to wait outside. The omelets ( we tried the Florentine) are delish. 3 eggs with Spinach, mushrooms, onions with sour cream served with a walnut cinnamon bun of toast. Their jams are great too. The staff are happy and show it, the customers are chatty and happy too. Lots of families. Great meeting spot. We frequent this spot often. Lovely to walk it off on the beach afterwards or visit Henry Cowell Redwood State Park to walk amongst the giant trees.

Yelp
Amazing hidden gem. Cash or check only and definitely a local hotspot! Found this place from looking at breakfast locations on TikTok haha. They are so good and have very great service. Came here on a Friday morning and there is a clipboard in the front where you check in and put down how many guests are with you. Immediately after filling out we were greeted and sat within a minute of writing down our name. Our server was quick with greeting us and getting waters as well as showing us the specials. I ended up getting the tostada omelet and my bf the pancakes. The portions are generous and absolutely beautiful to look at haha. I also got the chai tea with oat milk and it was SO GOOD. 10/10 recommend this location if you're staying in Santa Cruz or Scott's valley! Street parking is easy and close, 75¢ for the time we were there. Outdoor seating is nice with overhead heaters if they are full inside.
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
Excellent service and excellent food! We came at 10am on a Saturday. Sign into the waitlist at the front and wait under the awning in the side. Even though it was a wet and cold day, the warm heaters and seats made the wait cozy and easy. Make sure to check out the specials, they are all good. I also had a side order of orange poppyseed pancake, so good! Soft, light, flavorful and a unique flavor. Coffee let coming and was nice and strong! Staff checked on us multiple times. Will be back when we are in the area!

Yelp
Love it! Love the food. Generous portions just know that you're going to wait a while to be seated. The inside is super small.

Yelp
The best brunch!! Came here on a holiday and they were supposed to close an hour early yet were still kindly seating people after 1pm. The staff are incredibly nice and friendly. The wait was maybe a half hour. You HAVE to get the homemade cinnamon roll! Both the omelette and scramble were delicious. It's cash only, but they have an atm inside. Cute beachy ambiance inside and outdoor seating also available. Can't wait to go back!!
google avatar

Catrina R.

Yelp
Heard this was the place to go for breakfast in Santa Cruz so decided to check it out. Be prepared for a wait but it goes by pretty fast. Had their huevos Yucatán, their cinnamon roll, and their blueberry pancakes. The cinnamon roll is a MUST. Homemade and amazing. Has walnuts in them. Would go back for this alone. The pancakes slapped. Fresh blueberries! The huevos were good but didn't blow my mind. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very mom and pop. Street parking wasn't horrible and we went on a Saturday. Nicholas was our server and he was PHENOM!
google avatar

Tessa L.

Yelp
Saw this resto while visiting Santa Cruz. You put your name on their waitlist and they ask you to write if you wanted indoor, outdoor or first available table. Waited 5 mins for a table for four. My husband ordered coffee which I took a little sip but it tasted sour. I checked & smelled the creamer and it was it! Told the server and she gave us a new one. Needed to get their attention that we are ready to order-TWICE! Food was ok waffles was hard n dry. Mickey pancakes was ok my daughter didn't even finish it. The cinnamon tasted good but was also dry, wish they served it warm! They only accept cash or check.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
Other than the inconvenience of CASh or check only but ATM in the premises available, everything we ordered was delicious and made fresh!! The pancakes are one the most moist I've ever had with the fresh blueberries. The specials of hash brown with choice of eggs we're also very satisfying. Linda knows best what she's doing with their food here!! A homemade salsa they brought for our hash brown was definitely freshness overloaded. And it came with the side of our choice. We must try the cinnamon roll. To be reviewed because we devoured our meal. Inside and outside seating and just the most vintage traditional feel inside welcoming you to their home to enjoy a meal. Instead of verbally repeating their specials, I love how they come to just show you the board of specials for the day so it speeds up their attention to yours and others needs!!
google avatar

Yelp
Day Trip to Santa Cruz, hoping to catch some sun. It was foggy and chilly when we arrived at Seabreeze Cafe. The dog-friendly outdoor seating had heat lamps! Friendly service and food comes out quick! Ordered: Scrambler - scrambled eggs with mushroom, green onions, and cheese (Ask for salsa if they didn't offer) Order comes with the choice of potatoes or, fruit. (Ask for 50/50) Also comes with toast, muffin, or cinnamon roll. Got the cinnamon roll, which came l fresh and hot. Ate this last, and it was still warm. Wonderful spot. Street parking available nearby, metered and unmetered. Short line on Friday at 9am. Cash or check only with ATM available.

Yelp
Great food and loved the wait staff. Can't wait to go back and try the eggs Benedict (make sure you check which days they are available) Cute old- fashioned ambiance, just how I love it. Went with mom

Yelp
***CASH OR CHECK ONLY. ATM INSIDE*** Great restaurant. I'm not a breakfast person, but boy was this some amazing food. This restaurant is really into fresh house made items and everything seems to be made from scratch. The homemade cinnamon rolls and the home fry potato's were amazing. I really enjoyed the turkey omelet because of the fresh thick slices of turkey. Amazing service, small place so be prepared to wait if you are not early. 5/5 would come back again for the cinnamon rolls and pancakes.

Mari C.

Yelp
Had a lovely breakfast a few sundays ago. There's no online waitlist so you have to go and physically add your name to the list. GO EARLY because it gets packed on the weekend. Even then, it only took 25-30 mins to be seated on a sunday. The service was amazing and they were constantly checking up on us. Hot chocolate 10/10 Best hot chocolate ever. It tasted home made and not like the packets. Not overly sweet either. It's a must! Pumpkin pancakes 7/10 They were fluffy and not sweet. My only complaint was that they didn't taste anything like pumpkin. Maybe a very subtle taste but nothing like the real thing. I also had one of their famous cinnamon roll. It was rather dry, had good flavor but pretty small. I'd go for their muffins next time instead. I felt pretty rushed but I get that they're trying to get others seated. Food: 8/10 Service: 9.5/10

Yelp
This place was a let down. I was excited to come here for my birthday breakfast and everything that we got was very bland. We got one of the specials-- the Tex-Mex breakfast which was okay, but bland, the Denver omelette with potatoes which was okay, but bland and my omelette was runny and undercooked. My kids got the Mickey Mouse pancake which was okay. The sausage and bacon were good, but those are hard to mess up. It was a very long wait and their ratings boast for them, so we had thought we were in for an amazing treat only to leave disappointed. The service was really great though. Maybe we hit them on and off day.

Hailey T.

Yelp
What a cute spot and delicious food! The service was fast, and the workers were so kind. The cinnamon rolls were to die for - so soft, fluffy, and sweet. The coffee was also smooth and wasn't acidic (they said it was from a local shop). I will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Priya G.

Yelp
Lindas was so amazing!! I read ahead of time that it was cash only so came prepared! Their cinnamon role is to die for and their corned beef hash was amazing! I was with a large group who had the french toast, array of omlettes, and the veggie burger and only positive words were said across the entire group!

Yelp
Linda's Seabreeze Cafe is a local treasure! No fuss, just excellent food and service! So glad we found it. Important to know; Yes, it's worth the wait time, bring cash, and get the Cinnamon Roll!

Yelp
The food was so delicious and the service was top notch. The 4.5 reviews are so spot on so you will not be disappointed. The ambience was cozy and worth the wait

Yelp
This place was great! The wait was not long at all and it was just the cutest place for a nice sit down. The service was really friendly and the entire time I was there it was giving off good vibes. The food there was amazing as well, all though the food choices are a bit limited, all the food was really good and came out really quickly. I could also see the workers there considered their entire staff a big family, and it just made everything feel so good!! Thank you for the great time and the lovely feeling of family and fun! P.S sorry for not the best photo

Yelp
Heard about the place by a few friends and had to try it out. We approached the door and saw the sign that said cash. I had to check my purse to see if I had enough cash. A waiter approached us at the door and noticed I was looking in my purse, she mentioned we have an atm inside and I said ok. She was very personable and had us choose our seating. As we sat she grabbed our beverages then another waiter came by and asked if we have our beverage order fulfilled I said yes then she proceeded to bring out a board with specials on it. She gave us time and decided on a few things on the special menu. Good came out fast and big portions. Cute place and the food was tasty, I'll come back for the chicken club and cinnamon roll.

Yelp
I've been to this place multiple times and the food is always good!! The service is super friendly. Even if there's a long wait list, they are highly efficient and you will get seated pretty quickly. Just a heads up that this place is cash only but they have an atm inside if needed. My gf loves the pancakes here and I love the cinnamon roll. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
We came to Santa Cruz to go to the museum as well as the boardwalk and after our long drive we were starving! All the locals recommended this spot and we immediately knew why! Very cozy and cute spot tucked into a neighborhood. Fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juice was delicious. Their cinnamon rolls...Devine! Plus they have outdoor seating and are dog friendly! Don't worry about outside seating because they have patio heaters to keep you warm. Service was very quick and friendly. We got up to use the restroom before leaving and our server even checked in with us to make sure we were actually done. Everything we had was absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back when we are in town.

Yelp
Sunday morning breakfast was great. Corned beef hash and eggs is the best in town. Soft poached eggs. Service was great. Even the busboy/pearl diver was out there ready to help out with water and coffee. Good job Zev, Sat outside under the heater. Warm and toasty. Now one of my regular breakfast joints.

Yelp
Phenomenal service! Even better food! We came early in the morning and were able to choose our table. There is both indoor and outdoor seating with street parking. It gives a very "homey" vibe with the simple decor and wooden dining chairs/tables. Our server was the absolute best, carried a friendly smile and made sure we were taken care of. We chose to go with the specials: Special Waffle (waffle topped with berries and yogurt) and Pesto Scramble (tomato, egg, green onion, cheese, added on cajun sausage) We also got the Florentine omelette, both savory dishes came with potatoes or fruit, as well as an option of toast, walnut cinnamon roll, or pumpkin swirl. We chose the infamous cinnamon rolls to see what it was all about. Glad to say that we were not disappointed. It was warm and fluffy, the walnuts weren't overpowering and the butter gave a more moist texture. The food was amazing, I can tell why this is a local favorite. This is also CASH ONLY, so be prepared but there is also an ATM if you need it. Come here for breakfast/brunch, you won't regret it!

Yelp
Excellent food, worth the wait!! We got the orange pancakes and biscuits gravy, both were to die for! Be aware it is cash only, but they do have an atm.

Yelp
You could tell the ingredients were quality and well prepared, but the food was a bit bland. Quick table turnover. Friendly service.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to go while we're in Santa Cruz. Cute, small little breakfast joint that is able to fit a lot more people than you would expect. Nothing groundbreaking in their offerings, but everything is done thoughtfully and well. Always great service, family friendly and I and now with extra outdoor seating (although, I'm not certain that there is heating options, so come in layers). I'm fairly certain that I have only ever ordered the daily specials every time I've been there and I've never been disappointed. Plenty of good vegetarian options as well.
