Line Athens

Line Athens is a really cool spot in Kato Petralona that does wine a little differently. Instead of grapes, they use fruits like figs and pomegranates to make unique, tasty drinks. The place looks great, the vibe is relaxed, and the food is creative and super good. If you’re into trying something new, it’s definitely worth a visit.

For cocktail enthusiasts, this spot is a must-visit. The drinks are brilliantly conceived and executed. While the ambiance and service haven't quite reached the same heights, feeling more like a restaurant than a high-end bar, the cocktails alone make it worthwhile. Expect a lively, often crowded atmosphere, particularly during peak hours. Definitely worth the trip!

Superb cocktails and very helpful barmen. I even broke the glass and they immediately sent another one for free. Has a beautiful courtyard for a little outdoor experience as well. The place is quite spacious too

Unexpectedly Brilliant – A World-Class Bar That Breaks All the Rules I came to Line Athens after reading stellar reviews across multiple professional platforms. At first, I was surprised by the atmosphere — casual, lively, with a young crowd and an easygoing vibe. Not exactly what you’d expect from one of the world’s top-ranked cocktail bars. The bartenders? All very young — some looking like they’ve only just reached legal drinking age. But that’s exactly what makes Line so exceptional: this playful, convention-defying approach has led to some of the most creative and best-executed drinks I’ve ever tasted. A margarita made with potato water, mustard, and ketchup might sound outrageous — I thought so too. But what arrived was a beautifully balanced cocktail, slightly tangy with a clean, starchy finish. A brilliant, memorable drink. Their Negroni? House-made vermouth. While the Negroni itself was a touch too bitter for my taste, the vermouth was one of the finest I’ve ever encountered — complex, rich, and deeply aromatic. If I lived in Athens, this would be my local bar. Hands down.

The drinks 🤤 , the atmosphere, the “personality” of the place… you can’t be desapointed with #6 bar of the 50BestBars2024. We were there for the drinks and we got great drinks indeed; food it is not its forte but you may eat it and discover a few new flavors: for me it eas the eggplant marmalade that pairs their cheese platter… but if you go there go for the drinks and the environment, nice music as well. For us foreigners is nice being sorrounded by a majority locals having a good time. If you have time visit the other bar that is int the 50 list and have a comparassion point is 17 better for its drinks? Never mind that The Line is totally worth the trip! drinks are pretty affordable btw.

Cocktails were great. Decor was fun. Staff friendly, but could have been a bit more attentive (took ages to settle out tab!) Eclectic, vibey soundtrack, but for me no real atmosphere. Perhaps we got there too early (midnight.) Would try it again if I'm ever back in Athens.

What an amazing bar! Wow. I was a little worried first when I was looking through this very anarchic creativity which is found on the cocktail menu but I was super happy with my choice, the Delusional Margarita. Also the Highball my boyfriend ordered was really tasty. Didn’t try the food as we were coming from dinner unfortunately, but dishes on the other tables were looking amazing. Staff is very kind and sweet, thank you guys. Strongly recommended to visit this bar.
