"Ling Ling’s have previously done pop-ups with Papi and The Gun, but now they’ve found a home in Tottenham for their residency at The Bluecoats pub. Expect Chinese-influenced dishes and their legendary roast—think five-spiced pork belly, crispy skin chicken with ginger and spring onion, sesame yorkshire puddings, miso gravy, and matcha and white chocolate tiramisu for dessert." - team infatuation

Amazing. I’ve been basically a tourist in London for months and often disappointed with restaurants and this place was great in every way. Waiters were nice, the upstairs small setting of the pub is cool, and most importantly the food was all perfect. We tried like 8 of the 11 dishes and wanted to order another one of every one because they were so good. Finally a London spot that nails it.

Unfortunately, a disappointing experience - great food let down by poor service and an unexpected seating arrangement. The food was incredible, such an delicious twist on a Sunday roast - I've never had one like it. I had a miso-glazed aubergine with all the trimmings, including a sesame Yorkshire. All very fresh, rich, perfectly cooked - delightful. On their booking system, Ling Ling's don't specify indoor/outdoor or shared tables. As I made a booking for the beginning of March, I'd (ignorantly, but I'd like to think reasonably) assumed an indoor cosy table. Unexpectedly we'd been assigned an outdoor shared table - hmmm. We were very lucky it was a clear evening but we ended up rushing through dinner as the temperature dropped and it got dark. As this isn't specified in the booking system/Resy (which Ling Ling's should update), it would have been appreciated if they'd, at least, called us to at least let us know to bring another layer. No qualms sitting outside in nice/ warm weather (in fact, a nice treat in the summer) but I think it's a bit cheeky in winter to seat a bunch of bookings (not walk ins) outside without them knowingly booking it. The vibe was a bit off out there and I sensed other bookings being surprised at being seated outside on shared tables. The 1 pudding (matcha tiramisu) and a number of starters were sold out by 5pm - expected for a later Sunday booking but, by the sounds of it, diners on another table were disappointed. Service-wise, it seemed like the limited staff were a bit swamped and disorganised with lots of tables arriving at once. There weren't enough menus to go around and cutlery was still being dished out. We had to ask both for our drinks and food orders to be taken, and at the end of the meal, after receiving our bill, we ended up going up to the till to pay because no-one followed up to take the payment. I didn't catch the vibe it was always like this though and hope it was just one unfortunate service. The staff were still cheery and quickly acted on requests. Overall, it's frustrating because the food here is incredible. Ling Ling's I think need to look at their customer experience and be a bit more honest about their bookings - update your booking system or give people a call. I'd definitely give it another go for the food's sake, perhaps in the summertime.

I can't get enough of this place, the food, those spicy potatoes are to die for, service is just spot on without being pretentious, just warm and welcoming. I can't rate the food any higher. It's my go to place and they always go out of their way to look after my gluten allergy. It's a rare find in London. Back again on Sunday for a roast.

Fantastic imaginative Asian food. Everything executed perfectly including whole fish in complex miso sauce. Super aware of food allergies and preferences. Was amazing taking care of me with need for gluten-free

Delicious, delicious Asian food in the upstairs section of The Gun pub. Everything on the menu is delicious, and the menu rotates items in and out. The matcha tiramisu is amazing. And then on Sundays - Ling Ling's spin on Sunday roasts are incredible!

INCREDIBLE - such a tasty pork belly roast and all of the starters were top notch. The oysters and hash browns will forever live rent free in my mind 🤤
