I recently visited this Michelin-starred Chinese fine dining restaurant with high expectations, and while the experience was visually impressive, the flavors fell short of the prestige.
The food presentation was undoubtedly creative — every dish arrived like a piece of art, showcasing meticulous attention to detail and modern plating techniques. However, despite the elegant appearance, many of the dishes lacked depth and the bold, layered flavors that define great Chinese cuisine. The seasoning felt muted, and the balance that should elevate each bite was missing.
On the brighter side, the service was warm and professional. Both the waiter and chef were friendly and passionate, taking time to explain each course and ensuring guests felt welcomed.
The ambiance was luxurious and serene, suitable for a fine dining setting. Unfortunately, given the Michelin status and premium pricing, the overall experience didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of taste and value. While it’s worth visiting once for the presentation and service, I left wishing the flavors matched the artistry on the plate. For the price point, there are other fine dining options that deliver a more satisfying and memorable culinary experience.
