Cocktails, local brews & small bites served in an easygoing, bistro-style bar with a patio.
"BeltLine exit strategies are a necessity, especially around the time of your third near-collision with a weaving scooter. When we’ve had our full of that chaos, we stop by Lingering Shade. It automatically transports us to a state of calm with a side of European bistro vibes. There’s dainty, nautical-themed blue and white chevron chairs, a well-lit bar, smooth adult rock tunes to set the mood, and not a TV in sight. Our favorite part is the hefty drink menu with specialty cocktails for any season (the bold Lingering Cup is one of our faves), wine, and cordials." - Juli Horsford
"Located next door in a 600-square-foot jewel box building, expect seating for around 20 people at Side Saddle Wine Saloon between a horseshoe-shaped bar..." - Beth McKibben
"Cocktail bar Lingering Shade Social Club is now open on Irwin Street at the intersection of the Eastside Beltline trail at Irwin Street Market. The bar hopes to target a very specific niche market—the middle-aged crowd—owner and Old Fourth Ward native Lewis Jeffries told Atlanta Magazine last spring. What age actually defines “middle-aged” is up for debate, but Jefferies promises a “low-key” vibe for those who may be seeking a more subdued evening from that of the area’s often boisterous bar and restaurant scene. Lingering Shade offers classic cocktails, ten local beers on tap, wine, and a food menu focused on shared plates and snacks such as deviled eggs, onion dip, and boiled peanuts. In addition to a bright and airy interior with a large, wraparound bar and floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto the Beltline, Lingering Shade’s dog-friendly patio features an outdoor fireplace. Open Monday - Friday. 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Lingering Shade, 660 Irwin Street NE, Atlanta. lingeringshade.com." - Beth McKibben
