Lingon - Review - Downtown - Seattle - The Infatuation

"No need to trek to Ikea for your fix of lingonberry sauce and Swedish meatballs. Lingon just opened in the old See’s Candy Shop at Westlake Park (RIP free samples). The place is tiny, with a few tables and some counter seats, but there’s over a dozen varieties of Swedish pancakes to make up for it." - Kayla Sager-Riley

The best seafood I've had since moving to Seattle. Super friendly folks. I'm excited to try more Scandinavian specialties soon!

10/10 recommend. I went to Lingon with a group of friends (7 of us) following the Westlake Tree Lighting - lured in by a sign that said $6.50 glass of wine and were surprised not to see it busier. We ordered the Swedish pancakes, shrimp cocktail and wine. Everything was fresh and with great flavor. During our visit we were lucky and able to meet with the owner, Edward who told us it had only been open for a week. In that time he offered a taster of some of the finer wines and their oysters. All equally as delicious as everything else. My husband and I are from out of town visiting our friends that were from the area, but we will definitely be back!

Popped in with some friends randomly after the tree lighting. The owner, Edward, was very accommodating for our big group. Food was delicious and there were some great deals on wine. The swedish pancakes we had were absolutely phenomenal. Will definitely be going back and highly recommend it!

Had a lovely experience here. I only wish I could've tried more from the menu. Oysters were top notch and the bathrooms have fun art. Can't wait to go back

Hidden gem!! Oysters so fresh and the happy hour prices for wine also for the win. Friendly staff, will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Lingon has not been open long. I live downtown Seattle and had passed by when it first opened, although we didn't have time then to have a bite. Last night a friend of mine and I headed over through the light rain - and the city lights - to have a light bite - we shared the Croque Madame - and the toast with a shrimp crab salad topping. Delicious - as we were leaving more folks from the neighborhood stopped in. When the Westlake Park reconstruction is over and the weather clears, this will be a go to spot - it was cozy even with the crappy weather. The owner chef is welcoming and enthusiastic about the menu items - all sourced locally as he can.. will be back soon!

Yelp
Quaint, perfect location right at Westlake Park. Edward designed the interior, the menu and the vibe. I tried the shrimp and crab salad and my friend had his delectable mushroom soup. It's a great spot for a cozy bite and his prices are fantastic (including wine.)
