"This establishment is run by a seasoned chef, Gaël Ruscart, whose inventive cuisine gives pride of place to fish and seafood. Grilled prawns in a Béarnaise emulsion, Chinese cabbage salad with peanuts and crunchy vegetables; blue lobster from Brittany's coasts in a creamy emulsion of coral and sweet spices… An institution in this town." - Michelin Inspector

I came here for a night only, and regretted I couldn't stay longer... The restaurant service and dining experience was really pleasant. The room was clean and spacious, also very calm despite being in the city centre. And the breakfast buffet was quite impressive, a lot of "fait Maison" pastries and cakes. Would definitely recommend to stay here, great value for money. Classy and comfy. Mister Olivier was really helpful at the reception. Very polite and Understanding 🙏

I stayed two nights in the hotel and both evenings had a dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious! The menu is very creative and elaborate. I tried shrimps and tuna for starter and fish for the main. All dishes were excellent. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is really high quality and is definitely worth a visit.

Two of us had lunch. There is a set menu with a choice of two dishes per course, with a glass of wine with the two first courses. The price is very reasonable. Well worth it. We would definitely return. Service very good but relaxed. Quality of the food outstanding. Fresh, well cooked, tasty. Excellent value for money.

A restaurant where the chef actually comes to greet the guests - not something done in many restaurants we’ve been to during our France trip. Very interesting food combinations, and very good service. We appreciated that we were accepted for dinner at a late hour, and even if we had not made a reservation.

We came in at 23:30 and the reception was ever so fiendly. The young lady showed us our room : nice, clean and a good bathroom. The breakfast was super. The chef lead us through the buffet who was really superb. Various kinds of bread, ham, cheese, local cooking an fruits. The lunch was very tastefull : codd in Brettanic way. SUPER !!

We should have checked the website more carefully as we chose this hotel for the reputation of its restaurant. We planned half-board so we were disappointed to arrive for our three nights and find that the restaurant was closed for the first two nights. We were given a chit to an affiliated restaurant on the harbour called Quay 29 which was not at all what we wanted - a tapas-style place. I'm sure it was fine but we had been expecting three evenings of traditional French food. So the following evening we ate at a local creperie which was excellent and then - finally - at the hotel restaurant on our final night. Food was excellent and just what we'd hoped so do check! Apart from that, the hotel is comfortable (although the usual French small double bed) and nicely done. Not a lot to Douarnenez but plenty to see in the surrounding countryside and I enjoyed the ordinary vibe of a working town.

This is a well run, clean, very inexpensive and acceptable but aging hotel. We had two nights here in July 2014 and explored the really fantastic town of Douarnenez. We had a room facing the 'courtyard' which was quiet. The restaurant in the hotel seemed busy but we did not dine there are we were out and about and the town has so many options. ||||A lower cost option - but acceptable.

We decided at the last minute to have a four day holiday in Brittany and picked this hotel from the Logis web site. Its a typical old fashioned French hotel with a very good restaurant which was lucky as not many others were open in mid may.We had a well furnished comfortable room overlooking the back terrace, the only drawback was that it was on the second floor with no lift.||We ate in the restaurant on 3 night and everything we had was excellent, particularly the fish and shellfish. We were given both appetisers and amuse bouche at no cost.Service was great by cheerful staff and the front desk was very helpful. ||An added bonus before we left Douarmenez was a visit to the local market on our deparure morning when we were able to load our car fridge with live lobsters, langoustines, oysters and a large turbot for half the price we would have paid in the U.K. ||I thoroughly recommend this hotel
