My kid's a bit of a coffee snob (she used to work as a barista) and she used to live in Beaverton, so she's familiar with all the "good places". She recently took me here one Saturday morning. Apparently, she was in the mood for a new coffee concoction to try (she's adventurous with her beverages and likes to try new things).
I was impressed by the spaciousness of this coffee shop's interior, and the open and airy aesthetic.
The guy behind the counter was nice enough, but my daughter asked about the wall-mounted menu that was missing above the counter (there used to be postings about all their beverage offerings) and the guy said they can "make anything". I thought that was SO odd, not to have any kind of menu.
My kid ordered some strange combo of milks and ingredients for her espresso beverage. And then the wait began.
It wasn't busy, and there were at most two people with drink orders in front of us (these folks were sitting with their parties at the tables, not standing by the counter like my kid and myself). It took nearly 20 minutes for my kid to get her coffee. It was so long a wait that, around the 15 minute mark, my kid went to the guy who took her order and asked if perhaps they forgot about her order. (She never does that, as she used to work behind a counter herself). I'm talking S.L.O.W. (We were watching the counter, standing the whole time. There was one woman and one man actually making the coffees. I'm not sure if there was an issue with the machines or anything - it didn't appear like there was - or what the holdup was, but they made two drinks before they did my kid's). Anyhow, my kid had time to use the bathroom there, and I had time to check the place out.
When my kid finally did get her drink, she said it was absolutely delicious and worth the wait. And because she is discerning (way more so than I!), I give this place 4 solid stars. It may be slow at times, but their drinks are great (and their food options are also great, my kid said). Just wish they posted a menu!
