"Light Bite is a great little Polish restaurant that looks directly onto the majesty of Screwfix Tottenham’s car park. This family-feel restaurant is home to some of the best pierogi in London. They come loaded with mince meat, are still hot and crisp from the pan, and their sheer snackability makes it very difficult to leave any room for the sizzling XXL Polish sausages—all served on an equally epic mountain of sauerkraut and mashed potato. Inside, it’s a casual setup with big group tables and some fake foliage dotted about. It tends to be quiet on weeknights. But if the weather’s nice, the outdoor terrace turns into quite a scene with regulars. Front-row Screwfix view included." - heidi lauth beasley

The lunch options at this restaurant are consistently delightful, showcasing rich flavors that elevate the dining experience. The service is quick, making it a convenient choice for a meal. Additionally, the cozy seating area provides an inviting atmosphere for those who prefer to enjoy their meal on-site.

My favorite lunch spot! doesn't over complicate things, affordable, good food, and good coffee.

Anne Hathaway did not spit in my food.

I appreciated this Hashwich. It's a big ol' SEC w/ hashbrown in it, so large that I needed a fork & knife. I also liked the genuinely spicy chipotle mayo. I also like Greenpoint for the sheer amount of joggers in sheer clothing. Must be a pain to run down Manhattan Avenue, though.

What Lite Bites lacks in atmosphere and presence, it makes up for in taste and efficiency. I got a croissant Hashwich, a sandwich consisting of eggs, pepper jack cheese, hashbrowns, and ham. The Eggs were well cooked, folded nicely and fit perfectly inside the vessel of the croissant. The ham was less the star of the show and more of a supporting role, and the saltiness paired nicely with the spiciness of the cheese. Ultimately, my favorite part was the unsung hero of the sandwich, the hashbrown. It was the perfect thing to soak up any grease, and was delightfully fluffy on the inside, despite having a nice crunch with every bite. I also liberally applied the hot sauce that they provided, which seemed to be a habanero based sauce. It went perfectly with the sandwich, and I used all of it that they provided. I also ordered a vegetarian egg wrap from off the menu, consisting of scrambled eggs, avocado, tomato, spinach and feta cheese. The staff were easily able to accommodate a custom order. The eggs were nice and fluffy, the vegetables were fresh, but the tortilla could've been crisper, as it started to fall apart as time went on. The habenero hot sauce was an amazing addition to the wrap as well. The only department that Lite Bites is lacking in is coffee. There was no menu for coffee, and no customization options. I asked if they had a coffee menu I was missing, but they informed me if I wanted a coffee I could get it hot, or iced, and that was it. On the plus side though, they did have a large refrigerator with a plethora of options for canned and bottled beverages, some of which I had never even seen before. They also had the rater rare Inca kola, which was delicious as always. Overall, I thought Lite Bites was a very pleasant for a quick breakfast, and their indoor dining tables and fast service made for an excellent fast breakfast for the busy day ahead of me.

Google
Big recommendation for a satisfying breakfast throughout the entire day. Very kind staff :)

I’ve only had breakfast here but it’s so reliably delicious. Great flavors, quick service, and pretty comfortable if you want to sit and eat at one of their tables

Google
My dining experience left much to be desired, particularly in regard to the advertised "messy" sandwich. Contrary to expectations, the sandwich lacked the promised chaos, featuring only a solitary piece of ham and bacon, with an inadequate portion of cheese. Given its $12 price tag, the portion of eggs, coupled with the scarce inclusion of meat and cheese, felt disproportionately underwhelming. The yogurt parfait provided a redeeming aspect, delivering a satisfying flavor profile. However, I would recommend exercising moderation in the sweetness department. While the parfait was enjoyable, the addition of honey, especially in the presence of already naturally sweet fruits, contributed to an overly sugary composition. A more balanced approach to sweetness would enhance the overall gastronomic experience.

This is my breakfast spot almost every morning. Today I finally got lunch. When I tell you the FOOD tasted like it was straight from Trinidad. Omg, I had it all on my plate. I told the owner to put everything but meat. To have this Caribbean Spot in the middle of Greenpoint is amazing. It's right off of the backend of the G line. Never had a bad meal here. They have a variety of meats available, it's just that I'm not a meat love. They have jerk chicken, stew chicken, curry chicken, beef etc. They cook different things every day. They always have fried bake and saltfish or herring. Also alloo pie aka potato pie. They also serve American food. You can dine in order to go plus you can call in for delivery plus use the other foods apps available.

Yelp
Didn't even know this place existed. So happy that my friend invited me inside after Pilates. Had the waffle with eggs. So good and fresh. Coffee was meh but it was fine. The place was so cozy and inviting. Nicely lit up. You place your order at the counter and have a seat and when it's ready they bring it out to you. Not too shabby. I was full and satisfied after eating here. Would stop in again and try some other breakfast items off their menu.

Chunjai K.

Yelp
Mix feeling so I'm just going to give something in the middle. Service was ok, prefer cash, coffee wasn't great compared to the price. Their coffee tastes like $1 coffee that delivery guy always gets in the morning.

Shawna M.

Yelp
Lite Notes deserves an updated review. They still have great food and super fast service. I stopped by during breakfast and their hash brown breakfast sandwich was yummy! It was also clear that many of the customers were regulars and came in quite frequently. It's still 5 stars and worth stopping.

Ran L.

Yelp
it's not under $10 at all. basic low quality rice and beans for $11.50. AVOID. DOSENT WORTH IT

Andre O.

Yelp
Great service and friendly staff, Ordered the hashwish sandwich! Prices are great compared to the rest of the neighborhood and food is great! Love my Trini people running Lite Bites trin

Mimi T.

Yelp
Thank you Elvia for breakfast ! The food was amazing. Sausage egg and cheese with hash brown on English muffin, super delicious. Fresh orange juice was good too. I highly recommend. Their service is amazing. - Team at optical warehouse outlet

Jillian M.

Yelp
Came here for the first time this morning and will definitely return. Ordered the bacon hashwich and it was delicious. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Love

Jackie S.

Yelp
This place is special. First of all the owner makes his own pepper sauce from peppers he grows and shares it with delight. The owners are very kind and have somehow managed to bring hospitality at a high level into a fast causal corner cafe. You can get whatever you heart desires (scrambled eggs, black beans, plantain and pepper sauce is my usual) and if youre lucky you can get roti on some days. Highly recommend 10/10.

Liana N.

Yelp
This has become one of our go-to breakfast spots as the food is always outstanding, the people who work here are lovely, and the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I would argue that their bacon hashwich on a brioche bun is the best breakfast sandwich in Greenpoint/Williamsburg but you really can't go wrong with any of their breakfast options. I'm also 99% sure they get their bagels from Bagel Point across the street which makes amazing bagels but terrible breakfast sandwiches so this is a win/win.

Yelp
I used to go here all the time but trimmed it to maybe only 2-3 times a year the last 4-5 years because it was getting very expensive for what little they gave you (even before the pandemic and inflation, that is). Now -- no more. They totally skimp on everything and charge you two arms and a leg. I wish I had taken a picture before submitting this review, but I just got finished with the skimpiest turkey club of all time. It took about 28 seconds to eat. I don't even think there was any bacon on it, but tbf I guess they made up for it with all the mayo. This miniature turkey club and a small bag of chips cost me SIXTEEN BUCKS. The last time I went here about 6 months ago I ordered the curry chicken platter off of the Caribbean menu. Apparently I ordered the veggie platter as it was pretty much just a load of rice and daal and it was EIGHTEEN BUCKS. No thanks -- no more.

Chris R.

Yelp
I truly have nothing n bad to say about this place been coming here for years.. but the simple fact That this place closes at 3pm now is utter BullS***. The neighborhood is always busy so that 3pm close makes no sense to me at all

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
I had to cover a very far office in the Greenpoint area in the early morning all the way from South Brooklyn. I got there quite a bit early and was hungry and stopped by this unassuming joint. I looked at the menu and ordered their signature bacon hashwich on a brioche bun, on the cute little board. I got two, since it sounded like a breakfast sandwich that won't fill me up. Cost me $20. I waited maybe 10 minutes? Sweetest people in there!! I got myself freshly squeezed orange juice too. They also take Apple Pay so it was easy. The sandwiches were huge and I eat quite a lot for breakfast regularly. It was so good, that I dreamt of it for a good month before deciding to make it at home on my own. I don't think I can compare yet, but the eggs were so velvety, bun was PERFECT, the hash brown addition was actually genius lol & the avocados were just the cherry on top. I wish I lived closer to this place, just so I can order it every morning. 9999999/10 would eat again!!!

nicole k.

Yelp
CROOKS! I ordered a $4.50 iced tea that barely fits a half glass . Most of it was ice , the nerve to charge people for ice and a drop of (disgusting ) dirty water they call iced tea. Also orders their tuna sandwich that was more red onion than anything. No wonder their business is going down the drain .

Christopher W.

Yelp
I've eaten in as well as gotten delivery from Lite Bites. I really they they are a very underrated spot in Greenpoint. Eggs are cooked perfectly EVERY time. If you like scrambled, they do them PERFECTLY. Light, fluffy, just this side of fully cooked and not "custardy", not the slightest bit of overcooked/burnt. The bread they use is a step above the normal fair used elsewhere in the neighborhood. As for the Trini food? FANTASTIC. Don't sleep on this place.

Mel B.

Yelp
Stopped by on a chilly day to try some of the grab and go Caribbean (I later learned) food from Lite Bites. Everyone there was friendly. I had some questions about their food, which they answered with patience and suggestions. Nice place.

Jade C.

Yelp
You have to order Trini food, if you're gonna eat here. That's what they do best. Forget the BLT. You won't find a tastier vegetarian option, than some veggie roti or some Dhal over rice with veggies on top. Try something new.

E.S. L.

Yelp
This place used to be so so good. Past compliments and complaints aside: Today the Swiss omelet was perfect. Cooked, not brown, cheese melted. But... Requested: received Well done bacon: deep-fried bacon White toast, extra butter: cold toast, solid butter Steak fries: undercooked steak fries The service staff-members here are very nice. Maybe the place is closing soon? But, they finally painted the walls. Who knows? Why not complain to the server and send everything back? I accept responsibility. I returned again. Maybe the new place across the street is a better bet? Its new. But, I want THIS place to be as good as it used to be. I'm sad. Why post a negative review, if I accept responsibility? Civic duty? A call for a return to quality? Blah blah blah. This place used to be so good.

Yelp
I understand why people who come here might not order the Trinidadian food on offer. I get it! Really I do! Actually, no, I don't get it at all. This place is all about FLAVOR. Say it with me, people: F-L-A-V-O-R. If you order a vegetarian plate of, let's say, spinach, pumpkin, lentils, and rice with a bit of homemade hot sauce on the side... well, you're getting four or five totally distinctive flavors that are all intensely wonderful. The meat dishes are great, too. The portions are generous, and watch out, because you're going to want to finish them. Maybe don't eat breakfast, then come here and gorge yourself - because you're going to want to. I don't really know what happens when they put that big oval plate in front of me, but a few minutes later I'm happy and can barely move. Good thing it's a long walk back to the office. By the way, the service is always friendly - maybe caring is a better word - and the owner has real pride in what she does. I'm guessing the Trinidadian food is what she's proud of most. A lunch for the ages, people. Don't miss it.

Gabriel V.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Its clean , up to date and the service was incredible. From the moment I sat down Diana made me feel like family. She was ontop of me , making sure I had everything I needed and kept checking up on me. O'd give this place 10 stars if I could

Milky B.

Yelp
Ordered the bacon hashwich on a bagel and got this. The level of disrespect you have to have for your customers to send them something like this is incredible. You can't eat it, It's inedible. Black from the stove top they cook everything else on. You can smell the combination of grime and fats off of the sandwich. Disgusting.

Anthony C.

Yelp
Food very good. Roti to die for Very very nice costumers survive very friendly Will be going back ASAP

Matthew W.

Yelp
The 3-star rating on this place is really DEAD ON. This is not a place you're going to eat at or order from and think about in the future like "wow... that sure was a good meal." They have tons of great menu options but are TERRRRIBLE at preparing seemingly everything they make. I've ordered from this place on nearly a half-dozen occasions and the result is always the same: The food will come to you and you'll realize just how poorly it was prepared in the kitchen. If I get a salad with dressing already inside of it, it comes OVERLOADED with dressing... like nearly half a bottle of whichever dressing you choose ... if you order dressing on the side... they don't give you enough, which is just a bad. If I get a sandwich, it will be prepared with as little care and attention to proper seasoning as possible. I decided to give this place one more try so I ordered one of their $10 Tuna Melts... the mayo tastes like they've been keeping the tuna pre-made in the fridge for a little too long... like it's beginning to turn... and I don't know what spices they used but whatever it is... it's just... aweful.... granted I'm an expert when it comes to making tuna, but I know this and so I'm usually quite forgiving when eating it made by someone else.... and this... this abomination of a melt was NOT worthy of the name "tuna." Someone needs to come into this place and teach the people in the kitchen what ingredients to use, how to properly store food and for how long. I don't see how I could order from this place again. I gave them too many tries to get it right already and if they can't even handle making a salad or a tuna melt properly, I just don't see the point anymore. I'll give them a star for prompt and friendly delivery men.

Roberta H.

Yelp
Had the roti & it was delicious! I ordered over the phone for pick up but when I arrived they graciously made them fresh & hot. Wait time was less then 3 minutes. My only problem is they don't make them on the weekend! Easy to get to by G train or buses. Will be coming back for more!

Angel L.

Yelp
This company is not ran professionally at all! The people that work here are very rude and don't care about there customers! The food I received was not fresh, and it was burnt. I asked for a refund and they have been giving me the run around, and every time I call they are so rude. I am very disappointed.

Julia P.

Yelp
The Trinidadian food is delicious and flavorful! And the staff is so friendly :) this is definitely a hidden gem of Greenpoint.

Greg P.

Yelp
Greenpoint's hidden gem! Super friendly staff! For the price the food is pretty good! It's good if you wanna eat in or just get something to go! Bagel point is across the street but if you're smart, this is the place to go.

Keith B.

Yelp
The best carribean food I've had. The vegetarian plate with pumpkin/spinach/potato curry is the way to go.

J S.

Yelp
If you haven't had the Trini food for lunch (I think just on weekdays) what are you even doing with your one wild and precious life. Roti, shake and fried bread, curries and dumplings I just ahhhhh!!! Don't be fooled by the dusty awning outside - this isn't just an order-in place. Dine-in service is great!

Alexis G.

Yelp
Best chicken roti I've ever had with just the right amount of kick. And quick, friendly service!!

Elliot T.

Yelp
ITS GUNNA B A NO FROM ME "Got" a "breakfast sandwich" which was upside down. The buns were flip flopped. Cheese wasn't melted. I'm telling you it took them 45 mins to through this together like a final on the morning of an exam. My dog can make a better sandwich. Might as well eat some over done chicken from the deli across the street. TURRASHH

Anne C.

Yelp
Literally the best breakfast around and the best prices. Craving curing breakfast sandwich for 3 dollars! Fresh squeeze OJ for $4! Have breakfast here with a friend for 20 dollars total. Can't beat it. This is underrated and WAY better than the 18 dollar French toasts you will but at any hipster place in the neighbor hood. You can not go wrong with Lite Bites. I'm hooked.

Nathan L.

Yelp
As a Trini myself, I was pleasantly surprised to find this eatery in Greenpoint. The food was delicious, and they were extremely polite and professional. For those seeking vegetarian options, there are lots to choose from and they're very tasty. Having lunch here easily made my day significantly better.

Lesley D.

Yelp
Best grill cheese and curly fries. And they deliver pretty far. Breakfast player is good value.

LB L.

Yelp
The roti is sooo good!!! The Caribbean menu is the star at this place. Staff is very friendly and positive.

Nayeli A.

Yelp
I always order from here (and so do my coworkers) because it's yummy and close to work. Today I had a bad experience that was only made worse when I called. It appears they ran out of scallion cream cheese and instead of calling to let me know and asking if I'd prefer something else (which would have been the best choice IMO), they decided to spread regular cream cheese and add an obnoxious amount of very roughly chopped onions on top. It is inedible. It would seem scallions with cream cheese = scallion cream cheese but not the case. So, feeling this could be solved easily, I called. I asked if they would be having scallion cream cheese later, they said no, and instead of offering me something else because at this point I'm still hangry, I got offered my money back. I would honestly much rather have gotten another bagel (they're down the street) than my $3.95, but I guess me (and my coworkers) will have to start ordering from somewhere else. Plenty of other bagel places in the neighborhood ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I will miss their smoothies and sandwiches (which were also part of the order and delicious).

Christopher K.

Yelp
I gotta say, I usually ain't a yelper because I associate it with snitching - but the Lite Bites Roti (vegan, or boneless chicken) is worth it's weight in gold. It honestly kinda frickin' blows most of the Roti's I have had from Crown Heights / Prospect Park area out of the water - and that homemade pepper sauce? I'd baptize the children I am never going to have in that stuff. Seriously can't recco this place enough, it has become a weekly staple when I wanna treat the actual hell out of my tastebuds. The staff is so friendly, and if you're having a Roti-fit in North BK, this is the spot.

Sandra D.

Yelp
They are polite and quick! Love there breakfast and fast delivery! There breakfast of pancakes and bacon, bacon egg and cheese and of course a cup of tea is marvelous! If you near the area check them out. Eat in or take out!

Jeff D.

Yelp
Great no frills breakfast spot if that is what you're looking to find. BLT is a standby. LOVE the Caribbean menu. Much needed in this neighborhood. The hot sauce is a must try.

Sara F.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Greenpoint! Check their Instagram or chalkboard outside the restaurant for their daily specials. They also have amazing vegan options

Elaine I.

Yelp
This business is a survivor. It has the distinguistions the only Caribbean restaurant in Northern Brooklyn.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Used to LOVE this spot. We ordered take out breakfast from here like four times a week practically. Great options in your typical yummy old school greasy spoon. They are really attentive and helpful too. I don't know why the bad reviews I never even once had a bad experience in the two years I lived around the corner. Make sure you bring cash! Top notch yumminess :)

Nicole L.

Yelp
Happy to have stumbled across this place. I recently started working in the area and this has quickly became my go-to place for a quick bite. I particularly find myself coming in or placing an order for pick up during the morning time. So far I've had the breakfast quesadilla which consisted of eggs, cheese and turkey (my choice), the western omlette with home fries, roll with bacon egg and cheese, and flavored ice coffee. Everything has always been on point and their portions are just right and the prices are very reasonable.

Uniqua C.

Yelp
Wow !! What can I say about this amazing Gem here in Greenpoint. I stumbled across this Fabolous restaurant one day for lunch. From my very first experience ordering food from here, I have never turned away. Upon entering this establishment you are greeted by amazing & overly friendly staff ! Very attentive & the aura when you arrive, from the amazing Trinidadian food you inhale is one of a kind. They have a great Selection of Caribbean food, From Bake and Shark to Dhal purrie & even Jerk Chicken. One of the very few restaurants that carries food of this type. They have Vegetarian items as well. I have a wonderful experience every time I come in, & it's all the time since it's close to work. I recommend many of their dishes. My favorite is The Godfather Sandwich - A M A Z I N G !! Sandwich their prices are really reasonable for great quality food ! There are positive uplifting messages near the counter as you enter. That will help set the tone of your day. The community knows the tests and their staff very well & communicate so well with the members of this community. If you are looking for a great food, with great custom service This is the place to be. You won't be sorry !!!

E D.

Yelp
Nice, local diner. They have nice sandwiches and other to go things. But the real Hidden gem is their Trinidadian food! Curry goat, roti, and vegetable curry. Once I found out about it, been coming back almost every week!

Ezrick M.

Yelp
Had a great meal from here. My gf and I picked up a southwest wrap, chicken ceasar wrap, mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, and a fresh lemonade for $32. The wraps were great, mozzarella sticks were good, the wings were too mild for my taste, but I just like a little more kick to my wings. Although I saw a petty review on here about the lemonade being bad I quite liked it, yes it didn't have ice but it has fresh lemon slices in it to retain flavor more. So, to the reviewer who said this grow up. The staff there was great with me, but I guess being legally blind and having a cane helps a bit. All in all, I like it.

Joanna M.

Yelp
Friendly service, delicious food at very reasonable prices. My go-to place when visiting Greenpoint. The workers are so pleasant. My favorite dishes are from the Caribbean menu and their homemade hot sauce is unbeatable.

Marcella A.

Yelp
I have been coming here sense I grew up in Greenpoint and this place is a great place to eat for breakfast . There classic sandwich is the lite bite it is delcious . The prices are great. I love in how they dont have any Wi-Fi and there have signs up saying talk to others that's great and that's how it should be instead of everyone using there phones all the time . The service is great as well and everyone is very nice and very clean as well .

Conni M.

Yelp
Solid breakfast exactly as I ordered; juicy plump turkey sausages, perfectly cooked eggs, nice green salad on the side instead of potatoes and whole wheat toast that was crispy, but not burnt lightly buttered. Oh, and hot coffee with milk. Attentive service and quick delivery of what I ordered. Great start for the day!

Katarzyna H.

Yelp
Have been coming here for a very long time, since I work in the neighborhood. I like their salads and their Caribbean meals are a must! Def worth trying!!
