12 Notable San Francisco Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know This December 2024 | Eater SF

"A bird-themed bar opened in November at 435 13th Street (the former Radio Bar), featuring a bold, colorful redesign and a notably strong pickle selection thanks to Golden State Pickle Works; the project comes from Jennifer Seidman, who also owns Acme Bar & Company in Berkeley (Mercury News)." - Dianne de Guzman

Little Bird Bar - Review - Downtown Oakland - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Downtown Oakland has another place for a margarita in Little Bird Bar. The cocktails here with names like “Parrots At Play” or “Flight To Oaxaca,” to fit with the avian theme—and there are also plenty of non-alcoholic drinks, plus beer and wine. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Cutest bar I’ve ever been to! Love this vibes at this place! From the decorations with a duck theme, to the duck drinks and even staff all was 10 out of 10 amazing experience! I think this place is perfect for a night out with friends or a date night! Can’t wait to go back and highly recommend!

Super cute and chill vibe! Drinks were good and bartender was very nice! It was pretty full of people at about 5pm.

I ordered a “Paper Plane” and it came with a duckie for garnish! It was both delicious and delightful. There ceiling has lots of open bird cages decorated with lifelike birds and the bar is called Little Bird, but one rarely expects this level of commitment to the bit. Because of the bird in my drink, I struck up some conversations with locals there for happy hour, even though I’m kind of shy with people I don’t know. Maybe I’m making too much of a little touch, but I think a purpose of a bar is to socialize and if they create an atmosphere thar helps you do that, it should be considered. Also very near BART and my office so I’ll certainly by agitating my coworkers to make this our regular. Prices here are what I’ve come to expect for cocktails—not excessive but not inexpensive. Then again, they are delicious and you might get a duckie!

The margarita was okay but the service was incredibly slow - we ended up leaving and going to a different bar in the area. Someone was smoking out front and it wafted into the entire bar and really upset the general vibe. A little bummed out especially after seeing how many great reviews there were.

This bar is quite clean and fairly aesthetically pleasing with a decent drink menu. Not too too expensive either. It doesn't quite have the same charm that Radio, the previous bar, did, but that was a classic Oakland dive bar. This definitely feels like its trying to cater to a bit of a fancier/more business crowd. The bartender was pleasant but seemee a little distracted. One thing I noticed was that the sounds of conversations echoed and overpowered the space even when not packed; likely due to some changes with the interior. Made it a little difficult to talk to the person right next to me. Yet, all in all, it was definitely a nice experience, and I'll likely go again someday!

The bartender was fantastic. I think her name is Cindy. I had the “Flight to Oaxaca”. The mezcal was great! Highly recommend stopping by and hanging out a bit.

Cool bar. They put ducks on all the drinks. Including wine. Duck themed I guess. It's charming and was the only thing open on memorial Day past 9pm. Stopped by for a late night drink. Service was great and most of all the music choice was sick.

Did not particularly felt welcome. I ordered a drink that seemed a pain to prepare. Lively atmosphere. May work better for you!
