Google
Tried the tendies and the cooper sharp chicken sandwich and both were delicious. The tenders have been marinated and come out piping hot and like a flavor bomb. Great sauces too! Maple mustard was great. The chicken sandwich is a fried thigh which made it much juicier and tastier than a breast sandwich. Our server was sweet, helpful and fast. Surprised this place isn’t rated higher. Hand battered homemade fresh chicken. Curly fries were also a big hit.

Visited Little Chicken at the DC Wharf and had a pretty average experience. The atmosphere was 5 stars. The food was fine, but nothing special—just a bit mid. The waffles, which I had been really looking forward to, were no longer served after 3:30 pm, which was disappointing since I was craving them. I also tried to ask about some dishes I had seen on Instagram, like the sandwich and loaded fries with eggs, but the servers seemed unaware of them. Speaking of the servers, they weren’t very well-groomed, which impacted the overall experience. The table we were seated at wasn’t clean when we arrived, and that didn’t make the dining experience feel very comfortable. On top of that, I was surprised to learn they didn’t serve brunch past 3:30 pm, which seems like a strange cutoff for a place that promotes its brunch offerings. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I expected more given the location and hype.

Google
Great location and the staff was awesome. However, The COOP, I ordered was warm not hot and it wasn’t breast meat. Which is a downside of my personal preference

Google
The chicken fingers were so juicy and tender omg lol. The curly fries were awesome. I loved trying the different sauces . I enjoyed eating at Little Chicken. Nice staff, great music, the atmosphere was a whole vibe.

I’m from Memphis and my family is from Atlanta (translation - I know fried chicken) and that Pinky’s Up fried chicken sandwich is the best dedgum chicken sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. The service was fantastic as well.

Google
Reyes, our server, was really kind but honestly everyone that attended to us that night was very delightful. Don't get me started on that cucumber salad - so tasty and refreshing, surprisingly sweet too. The dill was the real deal. The fries, 😘👌🏾 N/A Wharf Water was not bad, very interesting taste- a thyme was had 😉

Google
We’re here for lunch with my 19 year old son after he Saw reviews online about the restaurant. We both three-piece chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well and did not feel heavy, the tenders had the perfect amount of breading. Fries were average curly fries. The sauces were pretty good. I had the buffalo and the blue cheese together. I also use the honey mustard to dip the fries which was pretty good and I had the frozen Hawaiian punch which was an adult drink made with strawberry and guava and rum. That was pretty good. Overall, the visit was awesome. The bartender waited on us then he got a little busy so we waited a long time to check out and to get refills but other than that, there were no complaints. It was clean. The music was a nice volume so that you could have a conversation. It’s a family friendly restaurant. There were many families there with children. The location at the wharf was really nice. We will definitely come back.

Google
Little Chicken offers a great experience and great food. The restaurant has sit-down dining area and bar up front with cool murals and an upbeat vibe, and a fast and efficient takeout area in the back. The chicken tenders were nicely crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And they were also large--the box of six was more than enough for two people. The curly fries were crispy and tasty, with good seasoning that was not overpowering. The side of mac and cheese was decent. The sauces are all excellent. Favorites for dipping chicken tenders include the unique BBQ sauce (tangy, sweet, and a hint of heat) and the LC/Little Chicken sauce (mustard-based with a hint of sweet and hint of horseradish). Overall, Little Chicken offers a good value for a filling group or family meal, and could easily become a regular takeout or dine-in spot. Tip for first time visitors: the entrance to the restaurant is located halfway down the alley (Pearl Street) to the right of all the Little Chicken windows and signage on Maine Ave.

Yelp
Didn't get any food and just popped in for a few drinks before going out to dinner. Vibes were on point here and the aroma of chicken was everywhere, but not overpowering. Cocktails were strong for what you were paying so it didn't feel like we were being ripped off. Service was okay, but we sat for a bit of time with empty glasses for about 5 minutes. Not the end of the world for me, but I know some people get upset when their next drink isn't already at the table before they finish the one in their hand. Definitely want to go back and try the tenders as they looked and smelled amazing when they came out!

Yelp
I came here during the work day because I was craving chicken tenders. The ambiance of the place doesn't really match the daytime sober vibe. It feels like the kind of place you go after several drinks at the anthem or something. It was also super loud, not with people talking, but with pop music. It was pretty unnecessary and it hampered my ability to sit and read before and after my meal. All of this would be forgivable if the chicken was good....alas The food was extremely salty. I'm so surprised by how salty it was. That alone contributes to why I won't go back. The bbq sauce wasn't good either, it was weirdly vinegary. It's such a shame bc the chicken has such a nice crunch and was cooked beautifully. Just too salty. The service was fine when I went. Nothing particularly notable.

Yelp
After taking in one of the museums in the area, we decided to walk to the Wharf to eat. We decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint! You get plenty of food and it tastes good. A definite must try and don't forget to get the cornbread! The only con is that they are short on staff so you have to be patient with the service. Overall, we'll be back!

Yelp
We went here on suggestion from our neighbor who visited this place a few weeks ago. Cute inside decor, lots of inside and outside seating. There was confusion as we sat down because you could seat yourself, and there was only one server working, we definitely got overlooked in the beginning. After being seated for about 10 minutes, the bartender hurried over and gave us water and took out order. I thought we would be sitting there a long time, but our food quickly came within five minutes of ordering. As we ate dinner, we read the reviews for this place because we became skeptical as we saw it was not a smooth running restaurant. Being a brand new place, they only had one server working and one bartender, they need more servers! The food was decent, I thought it was a bit salty all around. We ordered.: Barbecue chicken wings, big poppy salad, cucumber salad, broccoli salad, and french fries. I think the clear winner of the table were the curly french fries. The big poppy salad was delicious. And I did like the broccoli salad. The wings were OK a bit too saucy, and the cucumber salad was nothing to write home about. I would be interested to visit this place in a year from now to see if they have worked out the server issues.

Yelp
The environment was very pretty but it was slow When we went so the food came out fast. The fries were cold and the tenders were a little too slimy and soft on the inside for my liking. the chicken sandwich was spicy but crunch was great.

Yelp
Little Chicken is a newly opened restaurant at The Wharf in DC, right next to The Colada Shop. It's a fairly spacious spot, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a full-service bar. The downstairs area also has a counter dedicated to takeout and pickup orders. There are also plenty of TVs throughout, so this could be a great option to come and watch a game. I was warmly greeted as soon as I stepped inside. I was able to sit wherever I chose, and the bartender quickly came over to my booth to take my order. I order the 3 piece tendies, spicy, with curly fries as my side and the mustard and LC sauces. I also tried the Jungle Chicken and the Pineapple Express for my cocktails. The drinks are pretty strong and tasty, but the Jungle Chicken was my clear favorite. I also enjoyed my tenders - it wasn't spicy in the least bit, like AT ALL, but the flavor was there and they were decently sized. The fries weren't curly, but they were nice and crispy. I also got the buffalo wings to go with the mac & cheese as a side. The wings were nice and crispy, and the mac was decent. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and experience here and would come back, especially if they implement a HH!

Yelp
Get the Wendy. 10/10. No notes. I got the dry rub wings with curly fries which were a 7/10. Could have had more flavor. Service was great even on a busy Friday.

Yelp
As a former customer to the old location, this was a good reopening with a few menu cuts and changes. The flavors of course are still 100% there, with the new and old menu options. I'm a little sad that the fried shrimp were unavailable. I would say the lemonade could be a little better but overall the chicken sandwiches are juicy, flavor packed & perfect for a bite to eat in a nice area. They offer both dine in & take out options with a great seating options (you can sit yourself) and help will get to you. Also offer a bar which is a plus for nice weather days so if you're new to DC or the SW area stop by and order the Betty you won't be disappointed! Over 4.3/5 Definitely recommend

Yelp
Chicken Boat on deck!!!! The ambiance of Little Chicken was a fast paced food joint/bar. The vibes very calm and the location is right on the Wharf. Their menu obviously had a lot of chicken options, but we knew we wanted the chicken tender boat! The boat comes with loads of tenders and variety of sauces. The tenders were good, but they weren't outrageously amazing. The tenders were crispy and very hot; they are comparable to Chick-fil-A. It was nice having a variety of sauces, but some of the sauces were just okay. We also order some wings and they were just fine. The concept of the chicken tender boat is very unique. If I go again, I would definitely try their cocktails and maybe a different item on the menu. Lastly, their ice cream was delicious! They have a lot of fun options like fruity pebble. I really enjoyed the ice cream and it's definitely worth the try.

Yelp
This place was cute inside. Service was normal and the food was ok. I think this is a great hang out spot for friends when they are trying to sober up.
google avatar

Kimberlee C.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Loved every bite. Salads were creamy. Chicken was real and homemade. Great staff. Only caution is if you are opposed to loud music...eat outside.
google avatar

Jasmin J.

Yelp
I really like this place but it has a few loose ends to tie! The slush machine is frequently out of order. The vibe is a vibe tho! The people are generally nice depending on who's working and the food is decent! The chicken is flavorful and the sauces are soooo good! I took off two stars for inconsistency! I've had a few unpleasant experiences and they just rubbed me the wrong way. I'll be back and I'll recommend to friends and family also... I just gotta make sure we go on a "good day"
google avatar

Jonathan X.

Yelp
The food is too expensive and there's this lovely new 10% fee for using the self service kiosk! That's pretty insulting.
google avatar

Jazzy L.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant to visit if you and a couple of your friends want to get some pictures in or really just want to enjoy chicken tenders and fries. The ambience was really cute. Some of the booths had flowers and like this birdcage thing around them. They were playing some good music and staff was really attentive. The only downside that I saw about this restaurant was that it's not that cleanly. The table and chairs still had crumbs on it and the bathroom was not clean. It is a great spot to visit if you are taking a stroll at the harbor and just want something quick to eat, the food came out extremely fast and it was hot and delicious.
google avatar

Tara L.

Yelp
This is a nice little chill spot at the Wharf to grab a quick and casual bite. The majority of the menu is all about the chicken - tenders, wings and sandwiches with a few fun sides. While my friend and I were definitely hungry, we were at basic levels of hunger. However, that did not stop us from admiring the Boat Load of Tendies. There must have been at least five tables that ordered this during our visit, the the massive amount of food (served in a boat) looked so fun. But alas, way to excessive for our small party needs. Instead, we just opted for a three piece tendies, sandwiches and fries. The tendies were actually super tendy! I'm not even big on chicken tenders and I thought they were so juicy. I ordered the Pinky's Out sandwich with smoked chicken and it was also really good - just very messy and the coleslaw on it definitely made the bun very soggy, very quickly. But overall it was good! They also have salads, cocktails and ice cream cones so there really is a little for everyone. They also have TV screens, so I'm sure you can catch a game or two on on the background as well from time to time. Overall this is a great, casual spot to each and I'll be sure to plot my next visit to be with a big group so that we can indulge in the boat!

Yelp
This place really makes me question the taste of DC residents even more than I already do when it comes to food. I tried this place when I went to Wharf and not happy I did. I asked a patron there if it was good and she said it was. They did have quite a few customers. I went around 2:45pm and sat at their bar. It took me 5 minutes for anyone to ask if I needed help. I wasn't impressed with the food when it came. The fries were only ok and chicken wasn't great taste wise. You can try if you want but I can't recommend. It's the wharf but $20 for 3 strips, fries and a coke. Kinda crazy
google avatar

Jackie S.

Yelp
I ordered the Wendy (spicy chicken sandwich) with curly fries on the side to go via a kiosk and it totaled to ~$20. The order was ready in ~ 4 min and the people behind the counter were friendly. I wish the sandwich was more spicy but overall it was a decent chicken sandwich. I liked that it wasn't super greasy and it was crispy on the outside. The curly fries were regular curly fries - crunchy and spiced with ketchup on the side. This place was good for a quick, filling meal.
google avatar

Sania M.

Yelp
It was yummie! I love fried chicken and being raised in the south I have HIGH standards. This was really good and also get curly fries. They are so fun to eat and yummie here!!!
google avatar

Saha S.

Yelp
Little Chicken opened up on the Wharf, and as a lover of chicken, I knew I had to try it. I ordered pickup online, and got the Wild Bill, which is a fried chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce and blue cheese, and a side of curly fries. Overall the flavors were really good. I loved the tanginess of the chicken sandwich (though it I admittedly a wee bit salty), and the fries had a nice seasoning. The one big issue though was that the chicken was definitely overcooked. It could have been juicier and made the meal near perfect. However, since the taste was spot on, I would give this place a solid 4 stars.
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place! Chicken was incredible, vibe was cute but the service was terrible- I honestly give the service 1/10. Food was 8/10. Apparently after asking around, this place is getting the reputation of having bad service. To start, the waiter made a "joke" to me that I found insulting, and to end, we waited over 20 minutes to get our check. My friend spilled one of his sauces and couldn't even clean up because nobody gave us utensils or napkins, and nobody came to check on us. It was a hot mess. It's so sad to see a place with so much potential close because of bad service!
google avatar

Debbie W.

Yelp
Ok, it's called Little Chicken, but don't let that fool you. The tenders are HUGE! 3 tenders plus some curly fries (also a big serving) and the other 3 tenders and fries will come home with us! Very yummy. Chicken is crispy and doesn't taste greasy. Curly fries were tasty and not over seasoned. Great lunch!
google avatar

Dorecia W.

Yelp
I don't know what da hell people were thinking leaving a 3.5 stars. This place is 5 stars all day. The buffalo wings is OFF DA ChAIN! Seasoned like no other! And the drink of the year, "Jungle Chicken" is a must have. U won't be disappointed! (From DR) He said what he said! There's nothing left...

Clifton A.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I got wings, tenders and fries. However, service was slow and bad so be aggressive when handling the servers! The atmosphere of the restaurant was cool but the "bartender" claimed they didn't have HH on New Year's Day! I think he was lying but whatever!
google avatar

Jaden B.

Yelp
Good fried chicken and nice selection of sauces. Cool ambiance, full bar, nice place to hang on a Saturday night.

Martin W.

Yelp
Amazing chicken tenders, nice and crispy and there's a thing on the menu called the boat get that if there's like three or two people with you, it comes with 10 chicken tenders a bunch of curly fries and every single sauce they have their
google avatar

Lindsey B.

Yelp
The chicken was very juicy and flakey. You could cut the chicken with a butter knife, which is absolutely amazing. The service wasn't attentive, but the food was so good and made up for everything. I totally recommend. We did the boat of tendies and it was fabulous and a lot of food for four adults.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
The food here is filling but i don't think they season the chicken before frying. Flavor only seems to be surface level (I got the spicy tenders). Also, I came here when they first opened and am pretty sure they used to have Mac and cheese on the menu so not sure what happened. Mac salad was tasty though.
google avatar

Rayna D.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. We waited about 30 minutes to even be acknowledged, once acknowledged waited another 20-30 minutes to place order. Waitress was rude. Food was okay. Will not visit again.
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
The chicken was so crispy and juicy! The interior is cute with a lot of seating and a bar. The food took a little bit of time to come out though.
google avatar

David E.

Yelp
Great spot for tenders and wings! Had six BBQ wings. Nice and saucy. The tenders were perfectly battered and very juicy. Paired perfectly with ranch. But the MVP were the sides! Coleslaw was perfect, little sweet little tart. The cucumber salad was very good. Sliced thin with a little onion. A+ lunch/dinner option.

Aimee L.

Yelp
Tried this place while visiting DC with family. Ambiance is nice, lights could be a bit more dim. Food was reasonable and tasty, corn bread was AMAZING! Food came quicker than anything I've ever experienced. Chicken was moist, crispy and waitress very accommodating! All that and a Bar...hallelujah. Definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Wiame B.

Yelp
Little Chicken DC is a fantastic spot! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a quick, satisfying bite. The chicken here is seriously impressive--crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sides are delicious and complement the main dishes perfectly. The service is friendly and efficient, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. If you're in DC and craving some top-notch fried chicken with a fun vibe, Little Chicken DC is a must-try. I'll definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Janelle D.

Yelp
Walking in, you are not overwhelmed with the fried chicken smell. There is an open patio area as well. This boat was $59 and well worth it. I would say this can feed 6 at the least. The chicken was seasoned to perfection and moist. The bar is limited and their signature drinks are on the weak side. Was not a fan of the Wharf Water, it was very bitter. I would def go back for the food! Service was great as well...
google avatar

Sydney G.

Yelp
On service alone I've gotta give Little Chicken a 5! I came in after stumbling upon them by accident looking to grab a bite to eat before an event at the theatre around the corner. I was greeted warmly when I came in and told I could sit anywhere, and someone would be around to take my order so I opted to sit at the bar since I was by myself. I was immediately greeted with a menu and a glass of water. I wasn't really sure what to get so I asked the bartender for her opinion, and she happily walked me through some of the more popular options as well as her preferences. I was debating the Pinky's Out (crispy garlic sauce, cilantro, cabbage, mayo, pickles) but was concerned that garlic might not be a good choice since I was about to have to go to an event where I had to talk to a lot of people. But the bartender said it was her favorite and joked that she would give me gum afterwards if I was worried. So I decided to go for it. She'd also said that the curly fries were really popular so I went with those. When my food came, they'd accidentally given me the macaroni and cheese and I pointed out the error and they immediately fixed it--although once the sandwich came out with the curly fries, I really wish I had just stayed quiet and stuck with the mac & cheese, because after seeing it IRL, the mac & cheese looked legit. The chicken sandwich was delicious. I got it spicy, so between the extra spice and the crispy garlic sauce. there was a lot of flavor happening. I definitely ended up chugging a lot of water lol. But the bartender kept my water glass full the entire time. Everything was good! My only complaint is that the actual chicken in the chicken sandwich came out a little less warm (temperature wise)than I would've liked, like it had been sitting out for a minute. but the flavors and everything were very tasty. I can see this being a really fun place to hang out, especially once the weather gets nice. I asked for my check once I was finished and to my surprise, the bartender brought me a package of gum just like she said she would and for that I can't give anything less than five stars!
google avatar

Ebony E.

Yelp
Chicken is dry had to pick the sandwich apart to actually eat it. Curly fries was too hard. Corn bread is dry and lacks flavor.

Yelp
0 stars for the service 3 stars for the food Came in on a Friday night around 5pm and the place wasn't very busy yet. We weren't sure how to order since it was our first time visiting the restaurant. After awhile, we started to think maybe we needed to go to the bar to order since no one had come to our table. We finally flagged down the waiter after about 20 min with no one stopping by our table. We ordered a round of drinks and then took about an hour to get our server back the table to put in our food order and next round of drinks. He was the only server and the place was starting to fill up, so we were understanding that he was doing the best he could. After getting our food, our server completely disappeared. We weren't given any more water or even brought silverware. We went to the bar to get our own and were given only two napkins. Our server never came to check how our food was, ask if we needed anything or take orders for drinks or dessert. He was chatting with a lot of other tables and other tables were brought food, dessert, drinks and their bills. Other tables came and went and the dining room cleared out significantly, with many tables now open around us. We were excited to try the specialty ice cream cones, so we waited patiently. FOR 45 MINUTES. Finally, we gave up and went to the bar to place an order for the ice cream cones and my friend closed our tab, thinking we might not have another chance. The ice cream took another 30 minutes to get to our table. Meanwhile, our table was cleared of even our water glasses, even though we had ordered dessert. After waiting nearly 3 hours in which our table was mostly ignored and having not yet received our dessert order, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager came over with an attitude, clearly annoyed we would ask to speak to someone. We explained that we had really enjoyed our food but had had really bad service throughout the night and wanted to let them know. The manager's response was "so what? We're slammed. What do you want?" She brushed off all of our concerns about the lack of service because we had "closed our check" and they "assumed we were "leaving". We still had not even been brought our dessert at this point. We barely got her to agree to check on the status of her ice cream before she walked away scowling. For a new business, the service has a long way to go. This location is near a popular tourist destination and it's bound to be busy. The food was good but 3 hours and no bill or dessert? No thank you! As for the food: Chicken tenders - delicious! Fries - great seasoning and served hot and crisp. Ice cream - overpriced, no butterscotch filling until the very bottom of the cone. The butterscotch filling was disgustingly sweet on its own. $11 for basically McDonald's vanilla soft service with an inedible sweet butterscotch soaked cone that had to be thrown away.

Susan A.

Yelp
Little Chicken has a very cute bar and the ambience is great. I ordered the 3 piece tenders (comes with 2 sauces for $11), and a side of curly fries for $5. The tenders were huge and tasty. The curly fries were crunchy and delicious. The service was a bit slow, but not awful. I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Wizard E.

Yelp
Chicken = Fresh Fries = Crispy Ice Cream = Yummy Cornbread... Oh My Goodness Bring your family. Bring your friends. Little Chicken has the best chicken on the wharf. I dined about two hours before closing and there was only one guy working the tables and the bar so service was a bit slow. Overall, great place to eat. Will comeback for some drinks.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Went with a group of 6, ordered the bucket of tenders, fries, and all the sauces and 12 wings. Was more than enough food for everyone. Probably wouldn't return, fun once, but once is more than enough. If you go, I would recommend double checking the bill, seems like tip is already included. Service was alright, once food was delivered, we didn't see the server again, I had to walk up to the bar to ask for plates and then again to pay the bill. Better options around the wharf for food..

Madelyn G.

Yelp
Great food, kind service, and super cute location. Very warm and welcoming! Would definitely recommend if you want some good chicken! The cucumber salad was really good too! :)
google avatar

Maria S.

Yelp
I loved the decor! Nice for photos. Really good chicken! Tenders were juicy and crispy. Pinky's out sandwich was a little messy and overhyped, too much going on for me.

Christina W.

Yelp
Chicken was subpar. Sauces did not hit. Service was not even mid. Took forever to get the check. The drink I was provided was actually spoiled. Ambiance? Who cared with food this bad. $15 for 3 pieces combos is diabolical. 10/10 don't recommend.
google avatar

Bryne T.

Yelp
Do not come here! Service is Superbad! They will put an automatic 20% tip even if you are Alone! Double check your receipt! Servers are rude AF! More than welcome to try it if you want to experience it for yourself!

C H N.

Yelp
I gave them another try because if properly prepared the Wendy chicken sandwich is absolutely delicious. I learned the secret to this joint. You have to ask for the chicken to be fried fresh. Not refried, not from under the heat lamp, FRIED FRESH TO ORDER FOR EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER. My sandwich yesterday was perfect and I will be back.

Yelp
Love the sandwiches! Wish they had sides without raw onions. Bring back the mac and cheese!

Yelp
If you're looking to get away from the in-your-face and expensive restaurants on the main drag of the Wharf, step into Pearl Street and head to Little Chicken. The chicken tenders are delicious, the fries are tasty, and the beer is cold. The bartenders are lovely and work hard to provide a neighborhood bar experience alongside delicious cocktails. I always feel welcome at Little Chicken and could not recommend going enough.

Yelp
Some of the most flavorful chicken tenders and cornbread I've ever had. Had both regular and spicy and they both were outstanding. The homemade honeu butter with sweet cornbread was equally great. I will be back several times..Bring them to middle TN!!

Yelp
this restaurant was one of the worst I've been to in a very long time they've gotten multiple of my drink orders wrong. The chicken was somewhat flaccid and rubbery tasting. The potatoes were one of the main good things of my meal. Overall, the staff was unattended and not truly there back-and-forth so overall don't come here It's bad.
