How to Spend 24 Hours Dining and Drinking in San Antonio | Eater Austin

"A tiny bottle shop and wine bar housed in a former service station, splashed with psychedelic murals and focused on low‑intervention wines; approachable counter staff help guide selections, standard wine‑bar snacks are available, and an on‑site Airstream partners with local chefs to serve items ranging from raw oysters to Palestinian dishes." - Brandon Watson

Google
Trendy wine bar with a wide selection of wines fom outside the US. Shared a couple of bottles with friends and then went to one of the many local choices for a bit e to eat. This place has both indoor and outdoor seating and helpful staff to help you with your wine selection. Would recommend especially if you are tired of the typical US and California wine selections.

Google
Great customer service!!! We went on a Sunday, $1 raw oysters were great(Forgot to take pictures of the oysters!!! A variety of wine selection, they didn’t have sweet wines. But once we told the girls we had never been there, they gave us their recommendations. Seating inside is limited but completely of seating out with fans. Definitely a must, will be coming back.

Google
Pretty sweet little place where you can basically make whatever you want out of your afternoon/evening. We went on a Wednesday night for the $1 oyster deal. The oysters were delicious and very fresh! We tried a funky wine that was recommended by the staff that was quite funky in a good way. It's quite close to traffic so it can get a little noisy and it has a burger drive through next door as well which kind of hangs heavy but it's a very hip place to be. If you're in San Antonio and want something completely different you should check this place out!

Google
Loved the set up. Wines all over the wall where it doesn’t feel so “pristine” or boujee vibe. Gives off sort of a neighborhood dive bar with graffiti on the outside focused on wine but the selection is great, prices are great, seating is a bit limited indoors as well as parking spots. Can pick up funky wines if you’re looking to explore outside of your “normal” everyday wines. Some of the bottle have descriptors written them and for white, rose, sparkling wines, they provide ice buckets to keep them chilled. It’s definitely a “come as you are” kinda place. Loved it and would come back again.

Google
Great small spot worth a visit. The oyster truck is great to visit on Wednesdays for the dollar per oyster special. Inside the main building you can order some wine and "tapas" style appetizers of olives, bread with butter, etc.. Seating is available inside and outside the building. Parking is available around the building. Service is friendly, super nice and helpful. The wine is limited but tasty.

Google
I wanted to like this place. But nope. We went recently and were treated a little discriminatory. First time that has happened in San Antonio in a long time. All of it happened before I even drank anything. It was so weird to me that when I asked for some food, they ran out , but the white couple behind us got it... that was really weird. Luckily we caught the Oysters on time. That was delicious, so hats off to the chef on that. But the service wasn't very nice.

I needed to buy a bottle of wine and walked in around 4pm on a Tuesday. Idk if they had just opened but a vendor was there and I understand having to receive the product and assist the vendor in placing it but one also assumes, they’d try to take care of any customers coming in. There were two of them there. I asked if they were open and the one who acknowledged me said yes and that was it. Nothing more. The other woman there didn’t even say one word. I walked around looking at the bottles. I didn’t understand how the pricing went or if there was a menu but considering the cold reception I got, I didn’t bother asking. Ive worked in Beer and Wine before and I always made it a point to approach all customers, especially if there was only one in the store. But nope, nothing. Not a “can I help you find something?” or a “have you been here before?”. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them. I ended up going to the Pullman Market instead to get wine. It’s unfortunate because they had an interesting selection and a cool looking place. But coldness only gets you so far. Either way, buying wine can be intimidating to people with limited knowledge and they just made the customer feel like a nuisance.

Google
First time at little death and loved it. The workers really help you find the perfect wine for you to drink by glass or bottle.

Yelp
Trendy wine bar with a massive selection of wine spanning wall to wall. They serve some food items as well and on certain days they'll have specials (ie dollar oysters on wednesdays, lobster roll Fridays during the summer). This is a unique place and wonderful gathering spot for friend groups and young people. Lots of outdoor seating. Air conditioning inside. Good service

Yelp
Amazing!!! Great diversity of wine selection and craft beer! Don't get me started on the bread with the little black salt, yumyyyyy. Perfect place for a little solo date, date, and after a long run. After a few mile run we always say there's a cold glass of wine at the end of the line. 10/10 recommend! Parking can be tricky at times if it's super busy but that's st.marys as a whole.

Yelp
As a wine enthusiast, I've been wanting to check this place out for a while. I've been following their events on Instagram and greatly enjoyed their Beaujolais coverage, with my favorite post being one where the owner's shirt had 'left the chat' prompting a top comment that still makes me laugh: "Well, that escalated quickly." I asked the friendly staff what they would like people to know about this wine bar and they said that they want to introduce more people to great wine in a fun, non intimidating way. The knowledgeable staff definitely contribute to that mission offering detailed descriptions of the wines, delivered in a way that shows they really understand the wine and have enjoyed it themselves. You'll go inside to order from the menu on the wall where you can order food as well. They have a refrigerator with cold wine for purchase plus many other carefully curated wines lining the walls. We enjoyed the Suire Samir Blanc white wine during our visit, it was perfectly chilled, crisp and delicious. We're excited to come back to try some of their food and explore new wines. Give them a follow and a visit if you want to enjoy great wine in an intimate, well air-conditioned setting inside. If sitting outside you'll be surrounded by stunning provocative murals that playfully reflect the wine bar's name. Check out the team bios on their website, thank me later.

Yelp
Amazing and eclectic wine bar!! This is one of our favorite places to relax, especially for a "Sunday Funday"! There is indoor and outdoor seating, a great selection of wines that are predominantly European. If you are a fan of US wines, they have a couple as well. The decor is unique, especially the facade which is alone worth the visit. Wines are reasonably priced they have a nice selection of light bites, including cheese, very fresh warm sourdough bread and olives just to name a couple of our "go to's". On select days, the airstream trailer parked outside serves up oysters and other seafood varieties. It is a perfect place to hang with friends, especially outside during the fall months.

Yelp
From the outside, I would never have guessed this to be a wine place. It's a small building covered in graffiti art and has the vibe of hipster/grunge. But inside, you'll see floor to ceiling shelves of wines sold by the bottle. You can also purchase just a glass to try, if you prefer. In addition to wine, they have a modest menu of food items including things like sourdough bread and a cheese plate. It's perfect pairing for the wine. Service is friendly but subdued, as is the entire ambience. You order at the counter and grab a seat-either indoor or out, and your food is brought to you. I visited in the early afternoon on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet. Maybe later in the night on a weekend, it might get hopping in there.

Yelp
This was a chill and cool space with knowledgeable and helpful staff. I wanted to try Texas wine so we tried a bottle from Lightsome 2023 field blend, which was balanced, easy to drink, lighter in texture, and nice soft acidity. Overall I loved the space and would come more if still lived near.

Yelp
Finally got to check this place off my list! Such a cute, little wine bar. Soooo many interesting wines to choose from. The staff is friendly and so knowledgeable. We got some excellent recommendations on wine and snack pairings and had the best time chatting in this charming little spot. 10/10 recommended! I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
My favorite wine bar in town! A nice little hidden gem. Pretty hipster and cute. Inside is very intimate and cozy with a couple tables. There's more seating outside! Just an overall fabulous vibe. The staff is very knowledgeable, but not snobby. The selection is incredible! I've tried so many wines I've never seen anywhere else and have LOVED them. Such a special place and an ideal environment to catch up with a friend over a bottle of wine! They sell select wines by the glass and sell certain snacks like bread, cheese, etc. and have Oyster truck on Wednesdays I believe (sounds sketchy, but they're great too! lol) If you haven't tried this place already, this is your sign. Cheers!

Yelp
Very intimate and relaxed space for a good glass of wine. They had a huge selection of bottles for purchase both in and out of the fridge. We got 2 glasses of white, one was a reisling and the other a bubbly that I cannot remember the name of unfortunately lol -- the service was quick. We sat outside with a few other couples because there weren't any seats inside, which was fine. Overall had a nice glass while the music from the bars kept the vibe nightly.

Yelp
It's perfect for an intimate and relaxed evening. Generous pours and knowledgeable staff. I love the water being fully available for patrons in the cutest bottles and glass wear. Gives off rustic yet artful and cozy. A great find for a chill evening. I did not try the food but the wine was great.

Yelp
Cute little wine place! The interior is small but they sure make up for it with a great selection of wine. I stopped by really quick and asked for some recommendations which the counter person was happy to help with. I tried a local rose which was wonderful and was exactly what I was looking for. I also purchased a french white which I haven't tried yet but I can't wait. Will definitely return. Perhaps I will sample some wines by the glass and enjoy some of their charcuterie. There's parking out front but it's small so come early. Check on Instagram for events they have during the week.

Yelp
I'm in love with the ambiance. Always a great time. Good food if you need a little snack. Free parking. Very helpful staff. I always get advice since there's so many options. Wine for EVERY budget and pallet.

Yelp
I come here to read sometimes in the afternoons and it never disappoints. Easy going vibes, great music, friendly knowledgeable staff. Yummy snacks. Just appreciate yall so much.

Yelp
Brought the wife because she really likes this place. I'm not a wine drinker but they have some cool local beers on hand. Been a few times , suggest a Wednesday if tire in the mood for oysters.

Joe S.

Yelp
5 stars for the service and atmosphere and wine. 3 stars for the oysters on Wednesdays. The care in shucking isn't there. The oysters now (although still east coast) not cleansed properly which is noticeable before and after ingesting. Lots of grit on the oyster and even moss often you can find on your finger tips and napkin afterward. One of the great parts of enjoying fresh oysters is the oyster's natural oyster water inside left to enjoy but the recent shuckers sell the oysters dry.... The mignonette is on point.

Yelp
We stopped in for wine after a nice brunch. Random selection. Nothing special. They have an entire wall of French wines but my personal inventory is better. Chad is written on numerous bottles but according to another frequent shopper those bottles aren't N option without permission. Tons of smaller wineries. Nothing bad about that. I was put off by their politics. I'm not an Abbott fan AT ALL but seeing "fuck Greg Abbot" on the wall and "periodpalooza" was to "in my face". The service was basic. No dialogue at all. I'd never go back. World Market or Whole Foods has a lot of their wines.

Yelp
What a sweet spot! Friday night was my first time visiting this venue. I understand now what issues this construction may have on business. We could see the venue, but we're on the wrong side of the construction to get there. We went in, what seemed to be a huge circle, to finally get to the side where we could turn on the road. Once in front of the venue, the construction materials made parking an exciting challenge, which the boyfriend quickly accepted, and managed to conquer. The venue has a lot of outdoor seating and staying inside. There is a walk up counter where you can order by the glass or make a bottle selection from the wines on the wall. There is a fridge with a small beer selection as well as a menu of small bites. The person that helped us was friendly and allowed us to sample options. We went with the recommended red which was delicious and unfortunately, I neglected to check the name. The ambiance was chill and the weather was perfect for this Friday night in January. I'll definitely come back. Bonus, it's next to Burger Boy, which you may be able to order for curbside pickup.

Yelp
Great ambiance inside and out! Super sweet staff willing to help you decide on your picks wither your buying by the glass or bottle! They offer small bites, cheese plate, jams etc.

Yelp
First time here and my husband and I are super happy we tried somewhere new and found this gem. Super unique, cute wine bar close to downtown. I definitely plan on coming here again.

Yelp
I went to Little Death with a friend and she had wine I had a beer and Bruschetta. The place itself is sooo cute, we sat outside, it's right off the st mary's strip and if the weather is good the outdoor seating is perfect. They also have indoor seating, it's small but it's nice. The bruschetta was good, it tasted very fresh. We ordered the food at the counter and it was brought to us quickly - good service. I will def be coming back for a wine night
google avatar

Yelp
I not a natural wine expert by any means the wine we had here were hit or miss. We wanted to try this place to get more acquainted with natural wine. I wish there were an option to do flights or tasting to help people like me discover the smaller world or natural wines. It important to note not all their wines are natural so do ask to clarify if that's what you're interested in. The do allow outside food which a lot of people were taking advantage of.

Yelp
What a fun place! The gal working was super helpful and my wife and I and my daughter all enjoyed a great bottle of wine and some sourdough bread. The vibe is super chill inside...don't miss this little gem!!

Yelp
Wide range of wine to select. Great food options to pair with. Check this place out if you like to Wine and Dine.

Yelp
Pros: Super cute place. Totally enjoyed the pop-up night they had featuring tasty Italian pasta with delish bread and dessert. Enjoyed the ambiance and one friendly staff member that interacted with us first-timer patrons (thank you Maria!) Cons: Well, a couple, sadly. Let's start with parking... there is none. So be prepared to dwell on whether or not you'll get towed from wherever you managed to park (we did not, thankfully). Second was the drinks. Not that they weren't good... they were! I had a delightful sparkling rosé and my partner had a delish local beer (canned). The problem was the price. What we were charged was different than what was advertised. Since they couldn't provide me a receipt (pre-payment) I foolishly paid whatever I was charged. I felt kinda swindled, but... maybe some people think $10/can of local beer is OK? Maybe I'm outdated? Anyway, still waiting on that "emailed" receipt... perhaps I'm just too antiquated for the new St. Mary's strip.

Yelp
I visited for an event. The event didn't go as smoothly, but it wasn't Little Death's fault. This place is great. It offers a good variety of wines that you can with buy by the bottle or glass. You can ask for recommendations if you don't know what you should get or if you just want to try something new. Prices are reasonable. For those that don't drink wine, they also offer a few beers. They also have a small selection of food. I had the one cheese plate. The bread was warm and toasty. They have a limited amount of inside seating and some outside seating. I did see people bring their own chairs. I even saw someone bring a small table. Parking is limited, but they do have some spots right up front
google avatar

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. Delicious wine, super helpful staff. My friends and I didn't know what we liked, so they gave us samples! They do not do flights here so we were thankful for the samples! Side note- if you're into sweet or moscato type wines, this is not your place to drink - just to vibe with friends ! The only sweet wine is a dry semi sweet white but I can't remember the name or type.
google avatar

Yelp
My fave wine-forward hangout. Always run into someone I know, amazing selection of natural wines, delicious handmade appetizers, excellent music. And super knowledgeable staff make selecting a wine perfect every tim

Yelp
I've wanted to try this place since it popped up on insta ads a few weeks ago. 1. Wednesday's are $1 oyster night so if you are anything like me and love all things seafood I would highly recommend 2. Wine by the glass is $5-$11 and they are great about curating to what you are eating. We had a white wine with the oysters and it was simply perfect Overall it was about $25 and a cute little drinks date or you could have a couple rounds to really enjoy yourself!
google avatar

Jesus C.

Yelp
First time to Little Death and I had such a good time. Came on a Wednesday when the food truck has dollar oysters, got a couple dozen and some drinks from inside. Sat around eating with some friends having a great time. Great spot with indoor and outdoor seatings.
google avatar

Jiawen C.

Yelp
Little Death is such a cute, fanciful establishment for tasteful curated wines and appetizers. You can come and enjoy a glass or choose a bottle. I love their Wednesdays $1 oyster nights! Super fresh with lemon and a drop of Tabasco, paired with Brie cheese plate. The music is a bit loud and hard to hear who I'm talking too even though the ambience calls for great conversations.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely adorable little wine bar near downtown SA! Really loved the artistry and vibe of the place! Wine was delish, and the cheese plate - Amazing...especially the bread and soft cheese in the little cup with Black Sea salt on top!!! There's a lot of construction happening near here right now so parking was challenging. They need a little more outdoor seating and some way to help get rid of the flies., but overall so FUN!
google avatar

Michelle D.

Yelp
Great vibes, great service, very fun place to hangout. Would recommend. Wine selection is wonderful.

Yelp
An amazing and unique wine tasting experience and a hidden gem along the St. Mary strip. Our friends recommended it to us and we made sure to stop by while walking the area. The vibe is quiet and french but surrounded with loud street art and a nice array of food and appetizers. My wife and I stopped by and got a $5 glass of chilled cinsault which was an absolute steal and a great treat on a hot day. We paired that up with their single cheese plate, sourdough bread, a side of fig jam, and an order of olives and oil and it was all delicious. Along with all of this they had an incredible selection of french wines and we saw multiple groups stop by to pick up their wines for the weekend and receive some great recommendations from the staff there.
google avatar

Mari R.

Yelp
This was a cute little place. The day we went they had $1 oysters and they were very good. They have a variety of wine which I enjoyed. The ambiance was relaxing. They charge $4 for the wine glass which I did not see until I left. Don't know what that was for but I was gone when I noticed. Will definitely go back
google avatar

Becca S.

Yelp
This place is SO cool. My trip to SA had a lot of culinary disappointments, and this was one of the bright spots of my trip. I had yelped a bunch of places before my visit, and had bookmarked it as a place to stop while checking out the murals. San Antonio has a street art initiative and maps all the murals. The Little Death is smack in the middle of that map. It is an absolutely lovely place to stop and cool down with a glass of wine while you are pulling over and illegally parking to snap pictures of walls. I gave up sodas years ago but greatly miss carbonation. As a result, I have spent the pandemic touring the sparking wine section at total wine. I stopped here, and they had a lovely, ice cold cava available for $6. I got a heavy pour by a friendly, beautiful woman and had a seat at a communal table. And to top it all off, they have purse hooks! It sounds like a stupid little thing, not not having to toss your handbag either on the table or floor, is a special treat that women greatly appreciate. It is the little things that set you apart. Not that this place needed it. It looks like an old service station, they have glass bottles available with water, have a nice outdoor area, and are dog friendly. They also had a great selection of snacks which I wish I would have taken advantage of. There is construction in the area and parking can be an issue, but it is worth the effort! I liked the area, the people, and my cold glass of wine. I will definitely stop here again when in the area.

Yelp
If you enjoy wine this spot is a gem on the St Mary's strip. They have a huge wine selection for the size of the building. You can buy by the glass or bottle. The employees are very knowledgeable and helpful to find whatever you are craving. They also have frequent food pop-ups and $1 oysters every Wednesday. This is a nice place if you're looking for somewhere less chaotic on The Strip. It may be a little difficult to find a seat at times but when you do, expect a good time.
google avatar

Irma I.

Yelp
Eh.... Order at the counter. Prices per glass are reasonable. Bottles available with prices written in sharpie. There are two long high tops w/ really uncomfortable stools that seat - about 25- 30. There are some tables outside as well. Small tapas style plates available. Bring your glass back to get it refilled (?) cause maybe they don't have enough wine glasses (?). We sat and had a couple of glasses of wine. The people around us kept feeling the need to pound on the communal table to make their point(s) which was really annoying. The music was different and loud which just made people even talk louder. Sigh....
google avatar

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
Wonderful space that regularly hosts events around venues and home to the Gigi's food truck. Great wine and an ambiance that is hard to replicate. Worth every penny for the quality, environment, and food/wine.
google avatar

Jo M.

Yelp
Funky vibes, vibrant colors, unconventional wines, vinyl and Cava, a French rosé from Côtes de Provence at a reasonable price, which pairs well with this Texas summer heat, the retro style of '40s pin-up posters on local beer all of this can be found in one little place. Little Death is that proverbial perfect bite. Go for the Austin-esque ambiance; stay for the array of libations, delicious tapa-style menu, and layered sounds of music. The only hiccup came at the end our jaunt, when I was overcharged. When I called, they immediately addressed the issue, they were apologetic, and my card was reimbursed in a couple of days. That's what you want. Human error happens. The only reason for the 4 stars is because of the limited parking. MUSTs: Seasoned almonds Ash salt & butter Sardines Fromage Castelvetrano olives Cava French rosé.
google avatar

Bonnie B.

Yelp
Never disappoints!!! And how could it? 100+ wines, knowledgeable hostesses to guide your selection, rotating cheese plates, fresh local bread... we never miss an opportunity to bring friends here or come out for a date night!
google avatar

Taira H.

Yelp
Great little wine spot with wines that's are curated by the owners. You can find a lot of variation and they had open patio seating as well as Intimate seating inside. This is a nice spot for outside hangs or date night!
google avatar

Yelp
Small but mighty. Very cute spot with a $1 oyster food truck on Wednesdays. Mostly outdoor seating since the inside can get crowded.

Yelp
Love love LOVE this hip new wine spot right smack in the heart of the St. Mary's Strip. It's hard to believe that not too long ago this place was just an abandoned old filling station looking building. The first thing you'll notice is the epic artwork covering every inch of the exterior. The location is perfect for enjoying some day drinking before heading out to barhop along the strip. Upon walking in you'll find yourself immediately greeted by two walls full top to bottom with every kind of wine you'd like. They do pours by the glass or you can by the whole bottle. I appreciate that each bottle on the wall is marked with its price chalk. If you want to try something before you commit to a glass or bottle just ask and they'll be happy to give you a taste. The only thing that keeps me from giving a full 5 stars is the lack of wine flights (which I personally love to order from wine bars to get a sense of what I do and don't like) and their limited food menu items. Overall, it's just an incredibly chill spot without a hint of pretentiousness (like some wine bars in SA) that has "for locals" written all over it and a wine for whatever you're craving.
google avatar

Tiffany P.

Yelp
Great ambiance and interesting wines. The owner is super friendly and was happily greeting all the guests. Cool spot to share a bottle or two with friends and family.
google avatar

Linda M.

Yelp
When I walked in the place was empty minus Maryia and two I believe distributors. They were doing a tasting/having a meeting at one of the tables. I didn't feel very welcomed and was soon disappointed as I felt I was disturbing their conversation. I explained I came out of state to try this place and one would think you would interact with your guest. Maryia did not do that. Just said " that wall is the French selection and the other is everywhere else" then she sat down to continue her meeting. I was super annoyed because I was SO EXCITED and wanted to talk and learn about the wines they have. Fast forward to after they left Maryia was not busy so I kindly said " hey just a recommendation, I wouldn't hold those type of meetings while guests are present" well she DID NOT LIKE THAT. She then got offended by questions I asked her and ARGUED with me. Honey, we the guests PAY YOUR BILLS. Seriously I saw other reviews about her and confused on how she's still working there as she is hurting the establishment. GUYS GO ELSEWHERE, LITTLE DEATH WAS AWFUL. UPDATE: spoke to Chad and he was also RUDE. Lord half mercy... this place is going nowhere!!! So many other great places to go. BE AWARE!!!
google avatar

Inga C.

Yelp
Not sure what to expect at first, hard to categorize--but now that I've visited Little Death, I understand the appeal. The building is tiny, a historic gas station covered in psychedelic murals. Inside, there are bars and stools for seating. It's probably more relaxing to sit at the picnic benches or the clusters of tables and chairs outdoors, but on the evening we visited there was a cold north wind, so we chose to sit indoors. The food menu is limited, although there was a pizza food trailer parked nearby. The main event is the walls covered with painted wooden shelves--square boxes looking ready for vinyl records--filled with ranks of wine bottles. Prices are marked in chalk paint on each bottle. The cubbies are organized geographically and there is a lot to explore. There are also wines by the glass and amusing choices in cans, like hard ciders. The indoor seating seemed to be filling up with regulars, including a fluffy white dog.
google avatar

Stephanie G.

Yelp
This place is okay. I'm not sure if I would come back. It's unique in its design and artwork of the building. The interior has two long community tables with candles, that was a nice ambiance to have. They do let you taste the wine before committing to a glass. However, I did not think the wine was spectacular at all. I would think a wine bar would have some kind of expertise or discussion of the types of wine offered, the notes of the wine, etc but it felt like the person serving the wine did not want to be there, let alone want any patrons there. The business model is clever in that everything comes from a can (any of the seafood, olives, etc.), so theoretically should be low cost to the management but can charge a good chunk for it. The wine also tasted cheap.

Yelp
I visited Little Death a couple of weeks ago with a friend when I was visiting San Antonio, and it made my millennial/hipster/wine-loving heart VERY happy. Little Death is a small wine bar/wine store in the heart of N. St. Mary's bar and food scene. We stopped by after a visit to the botanical gardens and were in need of some refreshments and snacks. I was so impressed! They have a really great selection of natural wines - so many bottles! They have a small menu of wines by the glass you can order, but you can also buy any wine in the shop and drink it there (and take it to go if you don't finish it there). We asked for some advice, hoping to find a funky sparking wine, and were pointed in the direction of a pet nat that was just what we were looking for. They put it on ice to keep it chilled and gave us a couple of glasses. They also have some food options (lots of delicious snacks), but they also don't mind if you pick up food from a restaurant nearby and eat it outside while enjoying their wine. But the snack options at Little Death were too good for us to pass up! There was a lot I wanted to order (olives, radishes and butter, chicken liver toast, white beans and lemon, cheese, etc.), but I couldn't pass up sardines and crackers! A can of sardines, some mustard, and some crackers? With a great pet nat? I was a happy girl. San Antonio often gets compared to its neighbor city that is considered cooler (you know which city I'm talking about), but San Antonio is cool, too, and has interesting, modern food and drink businesses! Little Death is one of those! I spent the the last five years in hipster, "it city" Nashville, and I can say that Nashville doesn't have a wine bar as great as Little Death. I wish Little Death had been around when I lived in San Antonio. But I do visit very often, so I will definitely make a point to come back!

Little Death is just the cutest spot! It's very small so seating can be tough later in the day. But they have the best little snacks and an amazing wine selection. I often go there on Wednesdays for the oyster truck they have outside!! It's amazing
