This cozy Austin deli serves up Jersey-style specialty pizzas alongside outstanding sandwiches and soups, making it a beloved local haunt.
"There aren’t too many spots in Austin that are better for enjoying pizza on a picnic table outside than Little Deli, located in a quiet shopping center in Crestview. There’s not much else in the area, other than The Violet Crown, where you can pick up wine next door (it's BYOB here). But you’ll still find the place packed with locals on any given night (especially with kids). The pies are about as classic Jersey-style as they come—thin, foldable, and just a bit crispy. And yes, we know this is a pizza guide, but they also make one of our favorite pastrami sandwiches in town." - nicolai mccrary, raphael brion
"This is one of Austin’s most underrated pizzerias. The Jersey-style pies it serves draw fans from all over town to Crestview to eat in the deli-style dining room or outside at the shaded picnic tables (there’s also a cute little gazebo). For those who like to get a little unconventional, it offers white and pesto pies, and has a gluten-free crust option. This place keeps it old school, and takeout can only be done in person or over the phone." - Nadia Chaudhury
"With a location in Crestview and Windsor Park, this New Jersey-style pizza shop offers slices, calzones, strombolis, cold sandwiches, and six-inch Italian subs for under $11. Takeout orders can be placed in person and there is indoor and outdoor dining." - Erin Russell, Nadia Chaudhury
"What’s better than alfresco pizza? Nothing, really, especially at this Crestview restaurant with pies, sandwiches, and beers to be enjoyed on numerous picnic tables. There are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Erin Russell, Nadia Chaudhury
"The Crestview pizzeria has a strong sandwich game, where there are hot, cold, and Italian subs available. The toasted kaiser ones are fully packed, like turkey and mozzarella or ham and Swiss. Takeout orders for both locations (the other in Windsor Park) over the phone or in person; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Nadia Chaudhury, Erin Russell
