The 38 Essential Dublin Restaurants

"At the sister restaurant to Ryon Wen and Ian Keegan’s equally good Hakkahan in Stoneybatter and more upscale Nan nearby, spring for the plate with one of each dumpling on the menu. If you’re going full-in, order the smashed cucumber, prawn toast, and black fungus salad, and ask for the secret Little Sichuan menu with nose-to-tail dishes like steamed chicken claws and garlic ribs." - Corinna Hardgrave

Really nice restaurant. The food is really good, I ordered beef dumplings and smashed cucumbers. When I sat down I had to wait a bit to get a menu but it was very noce that I got a glass of water before ordering without asking.

Did not expect much when we entered the restaurant. The foods were very good on the other hand. I did not expect such a strong mala seasoning with Sichuan pepper in Dublin, which was pleasant surprises. A couple of staffs had their meal near us while we stayed, but no hassle. Considering it was Friday evening, noises and crowdness was bearable. Will we visit this restaurant in our next visit to Dublin? Yes, one of the top candidates if we had enough Irish cuisines.

Delicious, filling and amazing food! This place has some of the best Chinese meals I’ve had; and their dumplings, no matter what style, are a must try item! Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Definitely give it a go, you wont regret it!!

The service was exceptionnal We took the pork dumpling and the beef ones. Did not disappoint ! As main dishes we took the sesame chicken and teppan squid wish were magical as well

We had a disappointing experience overall. I ordered the orange crispy chicken — while the sauce was decent, the chicken itself had an odd, unpleasant flavor. The food also arrived unusually quickly, which made us question its freshness. The fried rice was underwhelming; it was damp and had a sticky, almost mushy texture, more like sticky rice than proper fried rice.

Really wonderful spot for surprisingly great Chinese food. We had the Duck Pancakes, beef Dumplings and Short Rib Noodle soup. The food was all wonderful and fresh. Only complaint might be the duck was a bit dry and room temp. Otherwise everything else was fabulous. Service was exceptional and price was super reasonable.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The orange chicken was barely edible, lacking both flavor and quality. However, what truly ruined the experience was the behavior of the staff. Mid-service, they decided to take a break, sit near our table, and order food and drinks for themselves. While staff taking breaks is understandable, their complete disregard for basic restaurant etiquette was shocking. They were loud, constantly burping, and behaving as if they were the only customers there. It was incredibly unprofessional and made for an uncomfortable dining atmosphere. This restaurant seriously needs to train its staff on proper etiquette and customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent dining experience.

One of my favourite spots for a lovely hot plate of food. Start with the dumplings but explore the rest of the menu too. The staff are truly wonderful. The last time I was there we unfortunately saw them encounter an absurdly unreasonable, borderline racist customer being abusive towards them over alleged (and definitely wildly untrue) claims about their food. It was completely unwarranted but the staff handled things with poise and more grace than the customer deserved. Also, definitely have the mapo tofu! 👏🤌🙌✌️
