A two-foot sandwich is the bait, but Little Fino doesn't click - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"Little Fino looks so fun on paper. If you’re the type of person who plots your order on the way to drinks, Andrew Carmellini’s latest cafe/cocktail bar will trick you from the moment you take your seat on the subway, and pull the menu up on your phone. There’s a Teeny Tini menu with a corresponding section called “snacks for martinis,” and on a grander but no less playful scale, a Long Sando, which—as advertised—is nearly two feet long. photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Nick Johnson Pause Unmute But once you arrive at this Williamsburg bar, wedged awkwardly between The William Vale lobby and another Carmellini restaurant, the dream of a fun night begins to fade. The cocktails aren’t bad, and are even a little interesting, like a take on an espresso martini spiked with bourbon. But they can’t make up for the mediocre food, and the twee paintings of pink brownstones on the walls. Unless you’re staying at the hotel, there’s no reason to come here. Food Rundown Cocktails Cocktails are a highlight, though sipping a Campari Creamsicle with a Campari nip floater would be more fun on a rooftop, not inside a glorified hotel lobby. Skip the jello shot dirty martini, which is cute in theory, but in practice tastes like lightly salted gelatin. PlayMute video credit: Willa Moore Spiedini From The Wood Fire, Just Ask We asked, and were told it was anchovies. We were confused as to how these could be skewered and wood fired, but we agreed to it. We received a few slightly tough, very smoky chunks of steak. Don’t ask. Whole Roasted Artichoke A little underseasoned, a little overcooked. photo credit: Willa Moore Warm Cannellini Beans This bowl of beans is so small you might think there’s been a mistake, but no. Those are your beans, tossed with a few slices of octopus that are a little too gummy to make up for the size. photo credit: Willa Moore Tony’s Antipasto The best food item here is a zhuzhed-up take on an Italian American classic, complete with crispy chickpeas, mint, and lots of shaved parm. If you end up here, this is the way to go. The Long Sando Long, yes, but not wide. If you’re looking for a big, fat, Italian sandwich to pair with your Root Beer Negroni, this is not it. They also go a little heavy-handed with the balsamic glaze. Still, the fat-capped prosciutto tastes expensive, and the arugula gives it a nice peppery bite. photo credit: Nick Johnson" - Willa Moore

New Restaurant Openings NYC: April 2025 | Eater NY

"From Andrew Carmellini and Noho Hospitality chef Anthony Ricco at the William Vale hotel, this day-to-night concept complements Leuca and Westlight with mash-up cocktails (Root Beer Negroni, Campari Creamsicle, a dirty-martini Jell-O–shot variation) and photo-worthy fare such as crudité on mint-green cake platters, 20-inch-long sandwiches, and pistachio snacking cakes." - Emma Orlow

The Best New Brunch Pancakes in NYC

"Plates Sicilian-inspired flapjacks that layer lemon-ricotta stacks with pine nuts roasted in brown butter, an orange-blossom–infused syrup, and finishing segments of fresh citrus for a bright, nutty finish." - Charlotte Druckman, Michelle Gatton

We got the long sando and octopus. The sandwich was good but for the price it was on the higher end. The octopus pieces were fine and small. The octopus dish was just fine, I would rate it 3/10. The sandwich was like a 8/10. The vibes inside was super nice. The waiter was good and nice and attentive. The thing we felt was the sandwich was good but because the octopus wasn’t amazing, it kinda missed in the mark on consistency between the foods. This makes it scary to try something new and so I’m not sure if we’ll come back and spend time here again.

Had breakfast at Little Fino inside the William Vale Hotel and it was such a great experience! The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, with beautiful natural light and a calm vibe — perfect for starting the day. The food was delicious and beautifully presented — everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The coffee was excellent too! The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a hidden gem in Williamsburg for breakfast or brunch — I’ll absolutely be coming back.

I recently had a wonderful lunch here for restaurant week: Hot Damn Caesar & The Long Sando (which is super cute with how skinny and long it is). Both tasty and perfect for a satisfying lunch. I also had the Lemongrass Vesper from the Teeny Tinis menu and it was so good and such a worthy deal. Their regular prices are typical of an establishment located at a 5 star hotel. Service was great too, from the very welcoming host, to my server (I don’t recall his name). I would come back if they keep the Teeny Tinis, even if I barely ever drink anymore.

We were hesitant about the 3.9 rating but tried it nevertheless - pleasantly suprised! Every meal at dinner was lovely, cocktails were fantastic. Our servers were all kind and helpful. Had a bit of an issue with the hostess not being able to find our reservation which they were presented an email confirmation of. Technology- what even is it. But aside from that it was a wonderful girl dinner out on the patio. Little Fino deserves a better rep!

Love the drinks here, I’ll would the drink menu was bigger but thanks for Antonio that help me to pick a good drink outside of the menu. I have a lovely Sunday here. Not a place for dessert :c

We had an amazing experience at Leuca for dinner once — everything from the cocktails to the appetizers, entrees, and desserts was truly excellent. So naturally, when we saw they offered brunch, we were really excited and made a reservation right away. Unfortunately, the brunch didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by their dinner menu. The flavors were surprisingly off — quite acidic — and the portion sizes were smaller than expected, especially considering the price point (we spent over $100). While we usually love Italian cuisine and are pretty open-minded with dishes, the brunch offerings just didn’t resonate with us the same way the dinner menu did. That said, the service and ambiance were just as lovely as we remembered, which we really appreciated. We just hope that in the future, the brunch menu might align more with the quality and creativity of their outstanding dinner selections — maybe with some pasta or heartier options. For now, we’ll definitely be back for dinner, but probably not brunch again.

WHAT ARE THESE PRICES?!? Food is great, drinks are great, service is great. BUT the day I was there they had a “special” that TWENTY FOUR DOLLAR FRENCH FRIES (not even special fries, no topping just fries and aioli). Yogurt with granola and berries at brunch is $18. What universe do these people live in? This is hip restaurant in Williamsburg, this isn’t Le Bernardin. This place should packed with people and instead the few times I’ve been here it’s half empty…I wonder why?!? I know the cost of food has gone up but seriously? Have some basis in reality without trying to price gouge people on popular items. I’d love to come here all the time…you gotta fix your prices though or you’re gonna be gone in a hurry. There are places just as good for half the price within walking distance.

Yelp
Incredible new concept from Noho Hospitality Group, technically part of their also great Leuca, sharing the bar room and patio space. More like a bar menu, but plenty of food to make an amazing dinner or lunch. Get the antipasti salad and all the sandwiches and don't miss the excellent soft serve.

Yelp
Such a gorgeous outdoor space! Short and straightforward menu and the perfect spot to chat for hours with friends. I got the espresso coconut martini which had a lovely texture but was *very* strong -- I ended up not being able to finish it, but I'd definitely come back to try other items on their menu!
